I've gotta know why people of faiths other than Christianity see the exact opposite of what Christians talk about. Very,very few people have mentioned hell in their NDEs. Just because it isn't mentioned in any Greek literature doesn't mean there isn't a word for it. Greek literature mainly revolved around the Greek Gods and goddesses, not the Hindu Gods and goddesses.

I think dreams are more than just chemical reactions in your brain. I had a dream of Sheshanaga after converting to Hinduism and praying to Vishnu. I've also had two dreams of Hanuman and a dream of Krishna, all of these were very real. When I was Christian I never had any dreams about Jesus or angels, but when I switched to Hinduism it was like a light switched on.

Yeah, a naga is half man half snake and a nagini is half woman half snake. I think at one time they did interact with the world. Dragons and fey especially have stories that say they left because the human race has become to corrupt. People who astrally travel claim to see these beings.

Yeah, I would say he looked more into it. I don't know him personally but my stepdad told me about it. It was a very neat story. But yeah, I think our past lives affect us greatly on religion. For instance, Í'm Caucasian and converted to Hinduism, i've had past life dreams of India, so it's possible my Indian past life affected my religious choice. I found Christianity to be miserable for me, I did not feel close to God, with Hinduism i do.

yeah, I've always wondered if you weren't a very religious person in this life could your past life religion effect you when you die in this life? As far as I know he had little exposure to Hinduism, he probably knew who Shiva was because he had seen a picture and the name beside it or something. But I would think he would need a lot more exposure for it to effect him that greatly.

Just to let everyone know my stepdad's friend had a near death experience on the surgery table and said he saw Shiva, and he's not even Hindu. Explaine that one for me? The doctors brought him back and he told them about it. Strange stuff.

2012 in Mayan legend is when we enter the fifth world. Think about this, in Hinduism we're in the fourth yuga. According to Mayan legend we're in the fourth world. The mayans say the last world was destroyed by WATER! This one will be destroyed by fire. Does anyone see a connection here? I do, and it's a bit creepy. This goes along with the Hopi prophecy too. And since there are civilizations mentioned before the flood, could this be where the stories of Atlantis come from? Even Egypt says their civilization is 35,000 years old if i'm not mistakened.

If I go to hell because I didn't believe a certain way, then the God the Christians worship and the heaven they believe in is not worth it, sorry. If God was like that forget it, but I worship Vishnu and if he is the wrong God so be it, I'm not conforming to someone else's beliefs because the devil is going to poke me with a pitchfork for worshipping God, period.

There's a universal law called karma, what goes around comes around and I have never seen it fail. It's pretty obvious and it happens regardless of your beliefs.

Sounds political to me. I think a pope banned reincarnation. A man banned reincarnation, not God so I can't take the Pope's word for it. Maybe something like love for Christ would release you from the cycle of reincarnation, much like bhakti yoga. But obviously, they didn't understand this.
