Indians are losing their touch with the divine because we give too much importance to accumulating educational qualifications ,no importance is given to religious education. What we need in todays world are people who are happy and mentally strong rather than a bunch of weak kneed geeks who commit suicide at the slightest setback. You are sadly mistaken .Bala is correct. Women and men have a choice and that means freedom to break away from a bad marriage. I have seen both men and women suffer just in order to make their marriage work. Sometimes they fight a losing battle. Of course India too has its rich customs and traditions ,but very little freedom of choice. Indian socirey happens to be narrow minded and stupid at times,to the point of being nauseatingly orthodox and cruel.

I agree with you completely.What makes USA an attractive destination is that people are straightforward, disciplined civic minded and have a positive attitude,apart from having a fun loving attitude.They live life for the day and dont worry much about tommorow.I hope that my estimate is correct Human rights are respected in the US unlike India where common citizens are treated like DIRT by every bureaucrat who thinks it is his birthright to treat people who are less fortunate in a shabby manner. Not only that brother, we are faced with new diseases every year.Even the goddamn bacteria and viruses have evolved,so I suppose everything has changed for the worse. What about global warming ,population explosion all over the world especially in India . Poor people having 10 kids and stuff. All this i know feel is sheer nonsense. Nobody could have seen Asvathamma ,at least, not in Gujarat. If he is alive he along with other personalities like Lord Hanuman.Lord Shiva could be roaming in the Himalayas. I understand there is a Siddhashram somewhere in the Himalayas on a different plane altogether.He must be there!!!

Dear friends I want to know how many of you have been to Tirumala. Some people tell me that Lord Venkateshwara is a powerful God who grants whatever one wants. Is this true? I have been to the temple only twice,buit on both occassions something good happened to me. I want other forum members to share their experiences with me.Thanks for your time.

Hi Jimbo I wanted to start a thread on exactly the same topic Why did God create the world if he did not want people live on this planet for long??? What is the purpose of acieving salvation?. If God wanted to create life on earth ,then why would he want to destroy the very thing he so carefully created?. Why is he multiplying in so many billions of forms if he knows there is no happiness on this planet?
