First of all both the word have to be saparated. Mysticism is different from Witch craft. On the one hand Mystics (the ones who practice mysticism ) are the ones who are in the world of inquiring the absolute truth and on the other hand witchcraft is being practiced by the fools and rascals who enjoy in harming others. And this can never be a part of any real religion. And I guess this existed in England as well i mean to say wasnt a part of India only

Le me start this thread by offering my respectful obiesensences unto the Lotus feet of Guru and Gauranga who are helping me to cross this material ocean of darkness. Vedas say Athatho Brahma Jijnasa –Meaning Now the time has to come to inquire about the absolute truth and the self and the eternal connection between the self and the that unchanging entitity Brahman. Now the most apparent question here is whether the modern day population is really doing this ? are they are making any attempt to inquire into the absolute truth. Well the answer is Big NO. Whats lacking then? Whats the reasons for this genaration of third and fourth class men who do nothing other than the four daily mandane activities of eating, sleeping, mating and willing, well many questions the members here got to answer them . One of the reasons a srila Prabhupada quotes in his one of the lectures that its the modern education, the eduction which teaches nothing more than the outer material body which is not going to remain for ever. The education is bringing out more and more athiests, the great Universtities have bceome factories of producing asses who believe in working for senses and do so called great sense gratification job very nicely. And on the name of so called economic development, social development more and more sense gratifying stations are being created. On the name of the same economic development the more and more so called Universities are being created to produce Unemployed Machines. A situation has come wherein both the potter son and the kings sons want to become a software engineer and unfortunately there is only one job, and this has lead in many cases frustration, depression and in some cases suicidals . Greed increasing agents , that’s how the Unis could be called as nowadays , have become centre for teaching craftmanship (refer ttp://society.krishna.org/Articles/2002/05/017.html) to produce cars, and machines. No real Knowledge is being imparted on the students, no knowledge of soul and God is being imparted. In short the Universities have just teaching students how to lead a full fledged sinful life to get cat and hog bodies in their next lives. Something has to be done in this regard, the Gita has to be brought in the real day teaching in schools and colleges, students have to be trained right from the primary level the essence of gita and this human life , which can lead to a peaceful and stress free population. Well, we never say YOU as asthiest , rather we say a theist in the mode of ignorance- (who kills at the place of worship)- there may be such people even in the majority u have mentioned, wherever they are theyx are ignorant- for this there is no doubt [The theists are fighting and killing themselves as terrorists in the name of god amidst streets and children. The world will soon get to know that appearance of theists or atheists is not a measure of capability to trust.] These are again mere ignorant who dont know the difference b/w the religion and irreligion. Or rather they think irreligion is religion -Krishna said it . [some of our minority communicties in india while admiting freedom enjoyed, have alleged that they feel that they are living among atheist majority in india. And therefore cannot be trusted. (Musilms also have called sufis as athiests, in their own country] Yatha Karma Tatha Phalam, meaning as you sow so do you reap, infact we should also add to it as your anscetors sow so the descendents reap. The anscestorss by wrongly intepreting the holy Koran , killed and destroyed our place of worship, they forcefull converted the right ones, so now its the time for enjoin/suffereing for what has been done in the past for their descendents. But still since the majority are more tolearant the minorities are able to live with all the faciltities ( inafact more- with reservations) which no other country gives for the minority community . 1)The a transcendental dasa does not identify himself with the body, for hime the body is only an outer cover, 2)Again the there is only one name for the him and ie DASA - meaning servant 3)Yes when the dasa reaches Vaikunta or Goloka he can see all his past lives , otherwise no 4)If one is a pure dasa of Krishna then he actually does nothing he is completely surrendered unto the lotus feet of the Supreme and in this case Krishna does everything , dasa will be just like a Puppet. Otherwise dasa (impure unsurrendered) will try to win over this material nature and try acting independently and will be lost in the end. Certainly our life has been programmed by the Lord/deeds in our last lifes. But nevertheless we have some amount of independence to act using our inbulit intelligence. eg. A chance might come onsuit to you take presidency post for any country , but you should use ur intelligence to decide what exactly u should do hari hari bol

Hare Krishna, First of all its very difficult to get a Guru (real reaslised soul) to go and surrender to get the answers for innumerable questions on God and religion. So the best way is to start reading Gita (translated by Sri devine grace AC Bhakthivedanata Prabhupada). And then it has been seen that mostly people in the beginning out of some kind of hyperactive nature try and join some so called ashrams only to find later no where. So my sincere advice is to read Srimad Bhagavadgita and try to inculcate the teachings given by the Lord himself. As the saying goes for a pure devotee even the hell is like Vaikunta as he will never be affected by any of the material modes , so is for a yogi the house or the place where he is living itself is an Ashram - no need to find a saparate one. Hare Krishna, If I understand it correctly the the divisions you have put down her could be named shortly in the following way * some people don't believe in God- Athiests * some think He might exist, he might not exist; they are not sure- Confused (rather disinterested) * some think He existed in the beginning but after creating the world and the living entities He died. -Buddhists [so, these kind of people have all their different understandings because of the influence of modes of ignorance and passion. Real knowledge about God however, is understood in the mode of goodness. Usually, the brahmanically inclined people are considered to be in the mode of goodness. They want to search for the truth about God's existence and understand the soul. They know the practice how to realize the Absolute Truth. So, when a pandita - learned person realize the absolute truth Brahman or parabrahman he is known as brahmana. ] Very true and I agree with you , but my question here is that even after knowing this why we quarrel, why does one simply try to prove one's theory to be right or wrong. eg: you find these Shaivaits always quarelling over vaishnavaits over the supremecy of Shiva over visnu or the vice versa, well both have thier own scriptures to do that. Dear Bandhus , please accept my humble pranaams!!! Its perfectly true to say that each one of us look at things in thier own way although sometimes it looks like we follow somone's (Great acharyas) theories or principles, yet each one of us have our own way of dealing with it -reason being the diversity of human nature , eveything here is unique , eveything operates in its unique way and so are the thoughts that genarate in everyone's mind. Of these minds the ones ,which are either partly or fully fed up with the material world would try to inquire about the absolute truth, and this it does with the way it has been developed, or depending on the kind of atmosphere wherein it has been evolved , so as a result these minds call the same absolute truth as Krishna , or sometimes these claim him to be Allah and yet sometimes after boggling over many theories and thoughts it fails tpo achieve a conclusion whether it really exists or not (this is quite wierd) So the real question here is why there is a difference in the way these bloody minds look the same absolute truth in different different way? and even after knowin that this difference is purely cos of the differnet types of minds existing in the world , yes even after knowing that, why these same old minds quarrel over the theories?? Does anybody out there have any answer for this?? Hey, i do agree with what u said, but guess the scholarly shown in the language out ther is just marvelous. I mean i am not sure whether he got realised thru Rsi Shri Bharadhwaj to write this book , but still a good pice of work in sanskrith. And many of the facts like Different types of Vimaanas in different yugas have infact made it more appreciable. Krishna did tell about the Vegitarianism, read Gita fully, he did comment about the food according to the Gunas i.e sattvik as veg , tamsic as flesh (untouchables) well if u wanna eat meat , eat it , afterall u re born cos of desires Hari hari bol

had there been so strong desire towards your way of following god, one woundnt have found so many churches in europe/US begging to have fathers /priests and devotees. Infact devotees from Iskcon have got many of them and coverted them into temples. dude show me one temple in this whole world where you find the dieteis are unatteneded . na u cant find it dude accept your defeat, although there are so many christians in this world but harldy very few go to chruches , accept this, my living in europe for around two years now is proof for this Chant hari nama and be happy - believe me Hari is for all even for Jesus and even for you May that Krishna give you a good mind to chant his glories Viks

Dear, His holiness Mohammad came in a region where the people were utterely ignorant (were just living a life of dogs and hogs-well this has been proved already as one can get this from histiory books) And it would have proved just futile had he tried with vedas and so on to change the people (so the Lord directed him in different way to chnage them) well thats the reason the Muslims are always found to be following a lot of disciplinary codes (ofcourse without knowing the ultimate aim of it ). So one can clearly imagine how one will be put into the kinda religion like Islam or christianity birth after birth (because of one's ignorance state).
