I do agree that there are muslims who are not fanatics, but they are lesser than fanatics who are non-muslims. I also think so. Should they be converted? No, if they allow the peaceful propagation of KC, why shd we bother them. But, if they are hell bent on converting India into an Islamic state, certainly we shd overpower them. I agree with you. My position is that we should use force on those muslims who use force on Hindus. But there is no reason to forcibly try to convert all muslims to Hindus.

If somebody wants to force Hindus to accept Islam, then he must be opposed at all costs. Even force can be used if needed.

I ask again. Is anyone on this forum aware of any experiment that shows that Tulasi gives out oxygen in the night?

I am extremely offended by your words!! I curse you to become a fanatic muslim in your next birth. Why did you write 'fanatic muslim' and not just 'muslim'? Does it mean you accept that there are muslims who are not fanatics? Should they be converted?

And how do we define "a succesful religion"? By the number of its followers? Then we could just take a leaf out of the Christian & Muslim books. Or by purity? By love to God & Goddess? Was goddess Saraswati in your mind?

I know plants turn carbon dioxide into oxygen, but I didn't realize that there was a change during night time. Forgot whatever you read in your early school days.

I can claim that I will have no problem understanding Srila Bhaktisiddhanta's English. I can understand Kailasa's English.

Plants consume oxygen for respiration all the time not only at night. But, in the day time, they give more oxygen than they take. Not only that, in the day time, they consume carbon dyoxide for photosynthesis. If, from air, carbon dyoxide is taken, then definitely the percentage of oxygen will increase. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants use chlorophyll, with the aid of light energy, to convert carbon compounds, and other nutrients into sugars. These sugars provide energy for the plant's growth. As photosynthesis requires light, this process can only occur during the day. So, in the night, plants only consume oxygen and not carbon dyoxide. The rules and regulations prescribed in a religion should not be so hard that the moment you break any of them, you are boycotted from that religion because the rules may be feasible at one time but not at all times.

When I was in school, then I has learnt a saying, "History Geography badi bevafA, rAt padho din safA." Meaning: History and geography are like very faithless ladies. You read these in the night and they will leave your mind in the day.:

May be that some people want 8 hours sleep, but from my personal experience, I find it too much. I sleep for less than six hours and I do not feel tired when I wake up. Many people are in bed for a long time not necessarily because they are sleeping. Often, they do not like to leave bed even after they have woken up. I do not find any need of that. Once I have woken up, why should I not leave the bed and do other works?

Clarification: I wrote above: "So, God does not know EVERYTHING that is going to happen in future." I meant this according to the example that abhi gave. It is quite possible that God knows EVERYTHING that is going to happen in future and therefore future is completely pre-determined.

And as soon as I make up my mind, the paramatma immediately gets to know of it. So, the Lord is a knower of the past present and future. According to what you say, God knows what you are going to do after you have made up your mind and not before. So, God does not know EVERYTHING that is going to happen in future.

1. Thus in the absence of any accumulation of wealth (surplus) there existed no possibility of one tribe attacking another with the object of grabbing the other tribe's accumulated wealth - as there was no such accumulation. Why could one tribe not attack another to grab the things that the latter used to collect food, e.g. weapons? 2. It was even purposeless to capture able bodied members of other tribes with the aim of making them work, as such captives could only join in the tribe's collective activity of hunting and gathering. Thus the labour of such captives was only enough to produce food for the captives' own survival, it created no surplus which members of the victorious tribe could take away. If it is true that one person was of no use to others, why were their tribes in the first place? The very fact that people lived in groups and not isolated shows that there must have been some advantage in living in groups. 3. Although tribal warfare did take place continuously, the reasons were either to capture women or to capture men who would be eaten. The responses that I gave above show that other possibilities were also there. 4. The fact that cannibalistic practices did exist among Aryan tribes is proved by the ritual of the Purusha-Medha Yagna, in which such captured members of other tribes were originally butchered and eaten. Where is it written that the captured members must have been of other tribes? 5. The Purusha-Medha Yagna also suggests the cannibalism theory which could have logically existed in a society where the labour of a person was only enough for his own sustenance and left no surplus product which could be taken away by another person. In this scenario, it was logical that captured prisoners of war were killed and even eaten. See my response to 2 above. 6. Thus the Ashvamedha Yagna also changed from being a simple act of killing a horse for consumption, to being a medium for the grabbing of land and property of adjoining kingdoms - a form of nascent imperialism. It is being assumed here that when the yajna was done to kill horse for consumption, then the yajna was not to grab the land and property of other kingdoms. But, could both not have existed together. Isn't it possible that the horse was first left to roam around in other kingdoms, and when it came back, then it was killed?
