  1. Yes they are good physicians. But don't ignore the special immigration laws that allow them to stay on in the USA after interning at a local hospital if they agree to set up practice in a low income area that American physicians won't work in.Too low pay.

This works out great for the USA, but is a drain on the countries the immigrants have come from.

They study in India and elsewhere and then leave depriving their past country of their valuable skills.

By the way are you guys twins?

Yeah it's tough.Well tough.I am having a difficult enough time from the hetero side.I do sympathize with their plight, but changing or ignoring Prabhupada's words on the matter is no solution.

What do you suggest gay 'marriages' sanctioned by religious institutions? If so go back and read what Prabhupada said about that.

There are some people on this forum whom I would be ashamed to be associated with, I will mention no names but by my response you should know whom I am addressing.

Who cares? You won't see me knocking on your door begging lunch.

  5. I recently received as a present a Ratha Yatra t-shirt 2000 from one of the managers at new Jagannatha Temple.I really like wearing it, but take it off when I enter the bathroom.I still don't know if that is necessary or just my compulsiveness.

I also feel compelled to wash it with shirts only.No socks other underwear etc.

I love seeing some of the pictures on the shirts some devotees wear at kirtanas though.

I don't know. And then there are tattoos.I have wanted a KC tattoo for twenty years or more, but feel it might be an offense or something somehow.

What is the scoop on tats?

  6. Spot on bro.

I was seeing a difference of opinion on some subjects and started thinking it was becoming an objective site.

I never considered that on some subjects this might be true but on others not.

Missing this I got the impression that the devotee community at large was starting to accept this homosex crap.

Thanks for posting those notes from com.

The greatest enemies are found within.Within ourselves individualy and within any movement as well.

Price of freedom is eternal vigilance.Who said that?randOM knows I bet.

  7. We have his books and lectures etc.So we can cross check with what is written.Anyting else is faulty.

The best example I can think of is Prabhupada wrote that Acarya is self-effugent,but some thought they heard him appoint them guru in contradiction to this.

I can't trust my own senses nor my own motivations.Best to stick with his recorded instructions.

Now how to keep those from being adulterated.

    Letter to: Kirtanananda

    --

    Mayapur

    14 June, 1973

    73-06-14

    New Vrndavana

    My dear Kirtanananda Maharaja,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated June 6, 1973 and have noted the contents with great care and concern.

The deities may be immediately repaired and worshiped. Now we must take precaution as you have suggested. You may get some guns and some of the boys may be trained as ksatriyas. Such gun shots could have taken place long ago since we are challenging everybody. So we must be prepared to fight. We cannot stop this movement. It is actually a fight against Maya. So Maya may also sometimes cause casualties in our camp. So, we must only thank Krsna and seriously dedicate everything for Him. So, you are Kirtanananda Maharaja, take pleasure in performing kirtana. That is our real weapon against Maya.

I am very pleased that the corner stone function was nicely done and successful. Continue the work enthusiastically. Thank you very much for the check for $200.

I am slowly regaining my health. It is now the rainy season here and accordingly the digestive process is slowed down. Therefore the rainy season means slow recovery.

I was just thinking of you and wondering why I hadn't heard from you in a long time. You'll be pleased to know that your assistant Srutakirti is here. He's feeling all right. This boy appears to be a very sincere devotee.

Upon your recommendation I am pleased to accept the devotees you have recommended for first and second initiation. You may chant on the beads of the first initiates and I am enclosing six sanctified sacred threads for the second initiates. Play the tape of me reciting gayatri mantra into the right ear of the brahmanas. The names of the first initiates are: Jim Hessler--Krpacarya das; Jack Mower--Kasyapa das; Chuck St. Dennis--Cakradhari.

Hoping this meets you in good health.

    Your ever well wisher,

    A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

P.S. On top of the towers on the temple, you should make Visnu's colus (or cakra) and a flag.

  9. No need to speculate on what Srila Prabhupada thought when we have his words.

From a Sunday feast lecture LA May 21, 1972:

So formerly, the king was controlled by saintly persons, by priestly order. They would give the king advice. The Vedic society is divided into four classes of men. It is confirmed in the Bhagavad-gétä, cätur-varëyaà mayä såñöaà guëa-karma-vibhägaçaù [bg. 4.13]. According to quality and work, there are four divisions of men: The brähmaëa, the intelligent class of men; the kñatriyas, the administrative class of men, the martial class of men; and the vaiçyas, the productive class of men; and the çüdras, the worker class of men. That is still existing in a different name, but the difficulty is, the classification is not made according to quality and work. That was the actual position of classification. Nowadays, a çüdra is on the government. A person who is a nonsense number one, he has no knowledge, he is on the head of the government. The things have been topsy-turvied. A person on religious category, he’s advocating something, oh, it is not to be uttered. Homosex. You see? He’s advocating homosex. Just see. These has been topsy-turvied.

  10. Why don't the advocates for accepting homosexuality into Lord Caitanya's movement[which of course is not really possible]deal with the actual words of Srila Prabhupada on this subject.

    TRANSLATION SB 3.20.26

Lord Brahmä, approaching the Lord, addressed Him thus: My Lord, please protect me from these sinful demons, who were created by me under Your order. They are infuriated by an appetite for sex and have come to attack me.

    PURPORT

It appears here that the homosexual appetite of males for each other is created in this episode of the creation of the demons by Brahmä. In other words, the homosexual appetite of a man for another man is demoniac and is not for any sane male in the ordinary course of life.

  11. Popular opinion polls taken in Kali-yuga.

    If that doesn't prove a point I don't know what could.Well I guess ya' got us there.LOL

Where's the poll on if drug use and meat eatting are popular amongst the young in this age and so-called culture.

I'm just old fashioned I guess.

But your true colors[lavender] are becoming more clear as you speak Amara.

It is a fact that Prabhupad had many homosexual disciples. Are we to assume that Prabhupad did not know any of them were Gay?

I'm sure he knew the nature of everyone's disease Bdas, no matter what it's label. It's all just the three modes shifting around anyway. But if we look at the word disciple,I don't see anyone room for homosexual relationships.

Another fact is that many of these devotees gave thier hearts and lives to the service of Prabhupad. Should we not acknowledge this?

Yes we should. In fact a friend of mine was at one time Prabhupada's personal servant.I'm not sure what his practice was before he met Prabhupada but he did live as a housholder for a while. Then he got caught up in this homo thing.I was shocked at first, and it was very awkward for me, but I didn't withdraw my friendship from him.And I still view him as a very rare soul on this Earth for all he did for Srila Prabhupada.

Times have changed and now these Gay devotees are coming out and expressing themselves. Should we not adjust to this?

Their devotional expressions should come out.Their deviant expressions should not.But this is true of everyone.

No we should NOT ADJUST to this.Nor should you adjust to my sinful nature just to make me feel better about 'myself'.

Your point on the changing times is one that I consider to be the most dangerous.Srila Prabhupada also wrote that we in the west have a problem of wanting to change things all the time. But it is we who must change to conform to the teaching presented.

If after all this time those "gay disciples" are still not considering themselves as spiritsoul, and still identifying with material tendancies, then that is all the more evidence that they need to give up that misconception. Not that they should be encouraged in their homoness and have their misconceptions reenforced.

We say sex that is not in accordance with religious principals is a sin. This is true regardless of whether the sinner is Gay or straight. The sunday feast is full of such sinners the vast majority of whom are straight. But still we are happy to receive them into the fold regardless of their sins.

And we should be happy to receive anyone into the fold, even me.But as spiritsouls. There is a difference though in practice.Heterosexual relationships are dovetailable.

As Gauracandra stated we should receive all devotees as brothers regardless of their sexual preferences.

We are brother/sistersouls on the spirtual platform. On the material level which we are all working through, the homos are the ones who make that awkward. Are they men/brothers or women/sisters?They are confused on that point which makes relating to them clumsy.

Faith and dedication to Krishna is a rare thing in this world and should be encouraged.

All people should be welcomed into the fold.

All are welcomed. But what is the nature and purpose of the fold?To encourage each other to take up real life which exists beyond gross and subtle bodily designations.

The problem is they want a stamp of approval for their bad habits.

This is the spirit of our Prabhupad who gave the highest to the lowest.

Some of the Gay devotees on this thread are already initiated by Prabhupad. Others who are uninitiated are accepting Prabhupad our most merciful acharya in their heart as Guru.

And that means also accepting his teachings on the nature of homosex.

Prabhupad is the Guru of all who want to follow Mahaprabhu.

And wanting to follow Mahaprabhu makes anyones life auspicious even if that devotee does not follow everything perfectly.

Well Brahma we are not discussing slip ups, we are discussing deviant lifestyles that some want sanction for.

My life is still a mixture of the auspicious and inauspicious.I don't expect sanction for my material desires.

So I say to those inquisitors who want to know who is the Guru of the Gays.

I say Prabhupad is their Guru and the Guru of anyone who takes even one step toward Nitai and Gauranga. Hare Krishna, Brahma

Interesting choice of words,"inquisitors".Actually he brought up his sanction from his guru so it is a natural and fair question as to this person is.

Yes I agree Prabhupada is Jagat Guru.So let's not change his instructions.

I am picking up that you think those that disagree with you on this are being self-righteous.No, we just disagree.

    Hare Krishna
