People who commit suicide take the chance of ending up as formless ghosts. "Thou shalt not kill." This means any type of body whether it be your own or someone else.

True. People will stop at nothing if they believe some material gain will be made whether it be health, beauty or riches. I heard that when Tulsi devi's branches are broken Lord Krsna feels Her pain. Imagine the pain She must feel when being crushed and boiled for soap and medicines. Imagine the pain those who perpetrate such acts will suffer in many lifetimes to come.

The answers to your questions are in "Teachings of Lord Caitanya". If you have just begun to read this book then you will soon discover all your questions answered. Whenever some devotee would detect Lord Caitanya to be the Supreme Lord, He would deny. By doing this He was teaching that we should not pose ourselves as God and also that we should not blindly accept anyone as God just because he says he is.

It would seem that if Prabhupada saw offense in these pictures then He would not have allowed the photographers to take them. Those were the days of big bulky cameras with blinding flashes so there was no hiding the fact the pics were being taken. These are all nectar for the weary eyes.
