  1. You ain't seen nuthin' yet! In terms of time we have only just begun.
  2. Terri was on a feeding tube right? Was she on anything to keep her heart pumping?
  3. I did not know that dead people can smile and show recognition when their parents are the room talking to them. I did not know that dead people can cry when their mothers hold them. I did not know that dead people can grunt trying to respond to things that are being said. But then I am not a doctor.
  4. This simple statement shows that your consciousness is awakening and you are showing much intelligence by seeking the answers. Pray to Lord Caitanya in just that way, "Oh my dear Lord, I cannot do this on my own. I need help." The Lord helps the sincere souls.
  5. The news says that on Sunday her father and a friend visited her and they were talking about how much Terri used to love to dance. Terri smiled, attempted to raise her hands and made grunting noises. The news reported last week that Terri had tears in her eyes when her mother hugged her. A therapist stated that before her husband stopped all therapy Terri was on her way to talking. Does this sound like a person in a vegetative state?
  6. When the mind is not properly engaged then maya will take over. Engage the mind in Krsna Consciousness. Kinda like the saying, "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." Get rid of the tv. When the Krsna Sun shines there can be no darkness of maya. Been waiting to hear the latest about you going to the temple again. How is that going? The temple you went to sounds very very nice.
  7. Srila Prabhupada who is a life long Vaisnava and pure devotee has instructed us to use hing in cooking so it is very much edible for Vaisnava. The only day not to use hing is on ekadasi if the hing is mixed with flour which is usually is when processed.

    Suicide

Ask the people in Africa, India and other countries who are starving to death if they feel pain.

    Suicide

We practice non-violence which includes non-violence to these bodies that we have been placed into. To purposely create pain and death to these bodies is not only violent, inconsiderate and offensive to ourselves but also to Lord Krsna who knows everything all bodies experience. Lord Krsna speaks against eating too little to substain ourselves in Bhagavad Gita Chapter Six. Concoction! We leave these bodies when Lord Krsna decides what form we are to take next. People who commit suicide take the chance of ending up as formless ghosts. "Thou shalt not kill." This means any type of body whether it be your own or someone else.
  12. What is wrong with going to the temple?
  13. yes, chocolate is evil. It is made by evil little gnomes in deep dark caves near the center of the earth. The headmaster of the gnomes is named Cocoa and he is a very dark sinister character that is rarely seen in daylight. All shop keepers are his hypnotized slaves who push the chocolate bars on innocent children who grow up to be addicted adults. Cocoa also invented halloween and the little mini chocolate bars that children fight over and hoard under their beds to hide from their siblings and their parents. This evil must be stopped.
  14. and thank you for the opportunity to read about this wonderful Vaisnavi.

  16. Here is one page that came up with info: http://hari-katha.org/other/kmdidi_eng.htm
  17. True. People will stop at nothing if they believe some material gain will be made whether it be health, beauty or riches. I heard that when Tulsi devi's branches are broken Lord Krsna feels Her pain. Imagine the pain She must feel when being crushed and boiled for soap and medicines. Imagine the pain those who perpetrate such acts will suffer in many lifetimes to come.
  18. The answers to your questions are in "Teachings of Lord Caitanya". If you have just begun to read this book then you will soon discover all your questions answered. Whenever some devotee would detect Lord Caitanya to be the Supreme Lord, He would deny. By doing this He was teaching that we should not pose ourselves as God and also that we should not blindly accept anyone as God just because he says he is.
  19. It would seem that if Prabhupada saw offense in these pictures then He would not have allowed the photographers to take them. Those were the days of big bulky cameras with blinding flashes so there was no hiding the fact the pics were being taken. These are all nectar for the weary eyes.
  20. Hare Krsna, Thank you for these rare and beautiful pictures of Srila Prabhupada! Mikey
  21. yes, the loss of net connection has happened before.
  22. The devotee who runs Dipika is traveling and often has no access to the computer as he travels to some remote areas preaching. Whenever he is able he will post an apology and explanation along with whatever articles have been submitted. VNN depends on worthwhile articles submitted by devotees. So if nobody is submitting anything worthwhile then there is nothing to post.
