1. Very good thinking, if that was the case Srila Prabhupada would have simply made everyone Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Maharajas disciple or not dicriminated at all.

Thats right, I found this with Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, I have met and experienced Srila Prabhupadas presence several times and when I met Srila Narayana Maharaja, it was like meeting Srila Prabhupada again, different looks, different voice eg, but His self effulgence was obvious and as bright as Srila Prabhupadas. His siksa is pure and according to all standards of the disciplic sucession and vaisnava philosophy He is a true manifestation of the pure devotee. Now Srila Prabhupada is closer then ever, I read more and hear more and everything is as clear as sunshine.

I think when the personal presence and effulgence of the pure devotee is experienced by the aspiering sadhaka, it is as importand as the spoken word. You can bathe in the light, sweetness and love of that effulgence and get a very good understanding of the meaning of what is a pure devotee, and how does it feel in the presence of such an amazing person? Without that, you are missing out on a lot.

 2. we should understand that in His letters and classes Srila Prabhupada may has said that we have been with Krishna, but in His books there is no such quote. Srila Prabhupada was teaching according to time and circumstance like our parents may have told us that a storch came and delivered us, but they also expect us as we get older to understand the reality of things. There are abundant quotes of Prabhupada's books stating that Vaikuntha is a place from where there is no fall down. Please notice the following: SB 3.16.26 PURPORT 'The conclusion is that no one falls from the spiritual world, or Vaikuntha planet, for it is the eternal abode.' SB 5.11.12 PURPORT 'This ordinary living being is of two kinds -- nitya-baddha or nitya-mukta. One is eternally conditioned and the other eternally liberated. The eternally liberated living beings, are in the Vaikuntha jagat, the spiritual world, and they never fall into the material world.' SB 3.25.29 PURPORT 'Sometimes it is asked how the living entity falls down from the spiritual world to the material world. Here is the answer. Unless one is elevated to the Vaikuntha planets, directly in touch with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, he is prone to fall down, either from the impersonal Brahman realization or from an ecstatic trance of meditation.' Madhya-lila 22.14-15 PURPORT 'The living entities are divided into two categories the eternally liberated and eternally conditioned. Those who are ever-liberated never come in contact with maya, the external energy. The ever-conditioned are always under the clutches of the external energy. Krishna Book, Chapter 28: Releasing Nanda Maharaja from the clutches of Varuna (p. 186) 'The mature devotees, who have completely executed Krishna consciousness, are immediately transferred to the universe where Krishna is appearing. In that universe the devotees get their FIRST opportunity to associate with Krishna personally and directly.' SB 7.1.34 TRANSLATION 'Maharaja Yudhisthira inquired: "What kind of great curse could affect even liberated vishnu-bhaktas, and what sort of person could curse even the Lord's associates? For unflinching devotees of the Lord to fall again to this material world is impossible. I cannot believe this." PURPORT In Bhagavad-gita (8.16) the Lord clearly states, mam upetya tu kaunteya punar janma na vidyate: one who is purified of material contamination and returns home, back to Godhead, does not return to this material world. Elsewhere in Bhagavad-gita (4.9) Krishna says: janma karma ca me divyam evam yo vetti tattvatah tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti so 'rjuna "One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna." Maharaja Yudhisthira, therefore, was surprised that a pure devotee could return to this material world. This is certainly a very important question.' SB 7.1.35 TRANSLATION 'The bodies of the inhabitants of Vaikuntha are completely spiritual, having nothing to do with the material body, senses, or life air. Therefore, kindly explain how associates of the Personality of Godhead were cursed to descend in material bodies like ordinary persons. PURPORT Therefore it is to be understood that when Jaya and Vijaya descended to this material world, they came because there was something to be done for the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Otherwise it is a fact that no one falls from Vaikuntha.' Regarding your second question, have the conditioned souls ever seen Krsna? Were they with the Lord before being conditioned by the desire to lord it over material nature? Yes, the conditioned souls are parts and parcels of the Lord and thus they were with Krsna before being conditioned. Just as the child must have seen his father because the father places the child in the womb of the mother, similarly each soul has seen Krsna or the Supreme Father. But at that time the conditioned souls are resting in the condition called susupti which is exactly like deep sleep without dream, or anesthetized state, therefore they do not remember being with Krsna when they wake up in the material world and become engaged in material affairs. (Srila Prabhupada letter to Jagadish, 1970) hope this helps, sometimes Srila Prabhupada says things to accomodate but He never says that the final comclusion is that we have been with Krishna in His lila or sport, He states SB 3.16.26 PURPORT 'The conclusion is that no one falls from the spiritual world, or Vaikuntha planet, for it is the eternal abode.' SB 5.11.12 PURPORT 'This ordinary living being is of two kinds -- nitya-baddha or nitya-mukta. One is eternally conditioned and the other eternally liberated. The eternally liberated living beings, are in the Vaikuntha jagat, the spiritual world, and they never fall into the material world.' books are the basics, preaching is the essence
 3. What they do not realise is that they are causing lots of friction, unrest, anger and hatred everywhere. Then later everyone will say, its religion causing war again, when in truth it is the misunderstanding of religion which is causing these wars. It is time that hindus everywhere stand up against these conversions and stop being so passive. You have a beautiful culture to defend, more rich and knowledgable then any other faith in this world. Loosing this knowledge and type of worship would plunge the world back into the middleages. It would be like replacing a university with a class one for children. Hindus have to begin preaching sanatan dharma and begin educating the world about vedic scriptures, the Bhagavad Gita and so on. Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada did forsee all the things and that is why He distributed the vedic texts all over this world. The world need to know that vedic knowledge rains supreme over all other religious scriptures. Not that other religious scriptures are not God inspired, but God Himelf does not speak in most of them and if there is something what could be interpreted as God speaking then it is mostly obscured and sometimes unclear. They also do not understand that God is always the same person, no matter what name for god we use. In the Bhagavad Gita God Himself speaks troughout the book, on every single page. It is a huge revelation on almost 1000 pages with incredible knowledge being given to the reader about every single aspect from the origin of life to the nature of the Supreme and who we are. This is not something that hindus should allow to be destroyed, by foreign religions with no respect for your culture, that is just not right. But in a way its hindus own foult for trying to live the western way of life, full of material goods, but being bankrupt spiritually. We have millions of unhappy people here, needing anti depressants, comitting suicide, lots of totally mad people roming the streets, who really should be in institutions, lots of unspeakable crimes and unrests on our streets and lots of unhappy events and tragedies. So why follow such degraded societies and convert to so called religions who have not been able to change the face of this degraded society in their own countries. These religions have been here for 100dreds of years and everything is getting worse all the time. I was born here in europe in 1950 in germany and believe me there are not many happy people in this part of the world. Europe and the states are ripe with mental illness and suicide, crime and so on, its awefull. So these religions come into your country and promise what? Follow us and India will become like the west. No thanks, all they do is plunging India into the dark middle ages with no spiritual life and getting the same problems like the west. India could leed the world out of its present darkness, by giving vedic knowledge and stopping following the way of western decadence. We are full of problems here in the west, no one can solve them, the politicians are morally bankrupt, taxes are sky high, prices are impossible, people are mostly unhappy. You tell you fellow indians this, the west has nothing to offer, except ruination of that most valuable of all cultures, the vedic culture
 4. Yeah you are completely right. It is those whose faith is not strong, who can be lulled into mayavadi and loose new age ideas. Having said this they are only dangerous for your spiritual life if you take their ideas to heart, best thing is to study and study again and stay away from those who propagate other philosophies. We have to expect these things to happen, they exist in India and with bhakti coming into the western world, so many other abreviasions "is that the word" , will also arrive. There will be sahajias, mayavadies of all sorts and so much more, all trying to influence the west with their ideas. But what is the point to investigate them on the danger of damaging our devotional creeper? We have got something so happy making and amazing, there is no need to look any further.
 5. So if someone says the opposite from the teachings of a bonafied sampradaya its obviously asampradaya. The teachings have to match those of a bonafied sampradaya 100%. They have to reflect what the Lord has said and not any different. If there is any diviation it can not be accepted. If this wasnt so the original teaching of krishna 5000 years ago and Lord Caitanyas teachings would soon become distorted by speculations and become tarnished. The disciplic succession would break up and the science of devotional service As It Is would be lost. Therefore the genuine spiritual master is of supermost importance and if anyone teaches different tattvas then previous spiritual masters belonging to a genuine sampradaya he should be rejected, like you are letting a hot potetoe fall to the ground. So whoever follows the principles of freedom and practices bhakti yoga as it is prescribed in the revealed scriptures, who can controll the urges of the senses and never falls down, who chants the holy name of the Lord he can make disciple all over the world. It is dependend on more then just teachings, i can also repeat teachings all day long and they most certainly can match siddhanta, but if i dont follow, if i dont chant, not offer my prasadam and have no spiritual master my self who is genuine and fits the description of what a genuine spiritual master is, then how can i say i am in the disciplic succession? Teachings can be repeated by any tom dick and harry, this does not make them members of the genuine sampradaya.
 6. If we are god and everything is one, could you please send the supreme master my request, to send me all her money? Since everything is one, It should not matter in whose pocket it is. I would also like to know, if everything is one, if she could tell me please, what I will be thinking on the 26. March 2008 at 14.00pm ? And finally if she is god, asking the original question, will she be able to create an egg out of nothing right now? Will she also be able to not display the effects of old age and finally the death and decay of her body? Sweet and flowery lenguage everyone can speak and draw others into it, but following the gita and surrendering to a spiritual master who is and always has been a member of the disciplic succession is to "difficult" for most people, because there has to be submission but to be told Oh you are god, immideately they say....yeah baby cool...I am god I always knew i am different, now i know...its like the napoleon syndrom, so dont be fooled
 7. The question here is if the person preaching about The Lord actually belongs to a bonafied disciplic succession and sampradaya. If that link is not there then there can not be any genuine guidance .
 8. Now then there is a post which looks as if it is from me, in this thread, its a copy and paste, without any comment by me but not done by me. I posted a new thread under world news and events which is very important. The article describes how christian and muslems and the indian government systematically destroy and blow up ancient temples. please read the article and pass it on whereever you can haribol
 9. Haribol and dandavads this is concerning everyone of us, no matter what our differences are. We have to become aware of this and make a stand against this atrocaty whenever and wherever we can. I took this from Stephen Knapps newsletter. Pass it on and help creating awareness. How intelligent srila prabhupada was to buy land for iskcon temples .....ys Devarsirat das The Threat Against Hindu Temples and Vedic Culture in India <O></O> <O></O> This article shows how the Indian government is purposely jeopardizing the future of Hindu temples. <O></O> With a little attention, anyone can see how Hindu institutions and Hinduism in India are unfairly targeted by a combination of Christian and Muslim Fundamentalists, vote bank politics and unscrupulous politicians and businessmen. Particularly alarming is the destruction of Hindu institutions and illegal mass conversions by other religions.<O></O> Through the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act, Hindu temples and Maths are taken over by state Governments in the name of better administration, while mosques and churches are completely autonomous. This Act allowed the state governments and politicians complete control over the temples and their property. Many abuses are committed by multiple state governments using the power accorded through this Act.<O></O> In Andhra Pradesh under Chief Minister Y. Samuel Rajasekar Reddy, tens of thousands of acres of temple lands are sold away leaving temples with little economic basis. This is done without the permission of the local Hindu community. The state government and the endowments department whose duty is to safeguard the temple properties have turned a blind eye to such encroachments on temple properties. The state government recently went to the extent of regularizing encroachments at nominal prices. These encroachments are often found to be closely associated to various political parties. <O></O> In Andhra Pradesh, Hindu temples, institutions and Hinduism itself are illegally targeted by the crusade of the government. Under the Temple Empowerment Act, about 34,000 temples are under government control. Only 18% of the revenue of these temples is said to be given back for temple purposes, while the remaining 82% is used for other things by the government at their discretion. Such looting, massive sale of temple lands, demolition of temples, encroachments of temple properties, and the utilization of aggressive religious conversion tactics by Christians in the vicinity of temples is occurring all over Andhra Pradesh. The government, which is supposed to be a protector has become a destroyer of the culture, which threatens the very existence of Hindu institutions. <O></O> Even the world famous sacred temple at Tirumala-Tirupati is not spared. The government attempted to take over 5 out of 7 Tirumala hills for churches and tourism. The 1000 pillar Mantapam in Tirumala was illegally demolished. Recently in response to Sri Chinnajeeyar Swami's petition, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has declared the demolition illegal and instructed the TTD management at Tirupati to reconstruct it. If anyone has seen the Tirupati temple and the difference there is without the 1000 pillar hall, it is shocking. <O></O> The Andhra Pradesh government also allowed the demolition of at least 10 temples for the construction of a golf course. The son of the Chief Minister even blew up the Sunkulamma Hindu Temple in Anantapur, and his brother Vivekananda Reddy, by constructing his own building, has encroached on Gurukula trust lands worth crores of rupees. While taking extra precautions to protect churches and mosques with money from the state treasury, the government has been selling or donating, for various government schemes and non-Hindu purposes, tens of thousands of acres of temple lands worth thousands of crores of rupees that are meant for the perpetual sustenance of the temples. This will irreparably cripple Hindu institutions. <O></O> Temples and maths that did not earlier come under government supervision are taken into government control for selling away their lands. The charge that 85 percent of the revenues is taken by the state exchequer was not denied by the state government. The State Endowment Board with 77,000 employees, all of whom are supported by 15-18 percent of 33,000 temples' income, has done little for the welfare of the Hindu institutions. At the same time, priests of temples are penniless and temples are decaying due to lack of maintenance. Hindu priests do not want to train children in priestly activities for lack of economical basis. This seems to be the goal of the government to systematically wipe out Vedic culture in general across India. <O></O> Even while this is going on, the AP government pays 12,000 rupees per pilgrim for the Haj trip to Mecca, and is considering proposals to pay Christians for trips to Bethlehem. At the same time, the government has imposed a 50% raise on the fares of state buses on MahaShivaratri day, like a tax that takes advantage of the Hindu community and makes it even more difficult for them to observe their own holidays. Furthermore, the most important Hindu holidays, such as RamaNavami, are being taken off the government holiday list to be replaced by secular holidays. <O></O> The net result of this strategic and planned selling of all temple properties, along with taxing the Hindu community while providing funds for Christian purposes, seems to be designed to systematically and completely cripple Hindu institutions in the state with little hope for their survival. The Andhra Pradesh government Order 21 gave crores (tens of millions) of rupees for the renovation and construction of churches, thus, helping to pave the way for major Christianization of the state using illegal techniques for mass conversions. Almost all these activities are a violation of the Indian constitution that is supposed to separate the state and religion. The government also controls the media that ignore any Hindu representation. Even the rare newspapers like Eenadu that do represent the Hindu view of things are persecuted by unfair tax raids, and attempts to stop their Hindu devotional telecasts. They then use the secular news media to spread false claims of attacks on Christians by fundamentalist Hindus, and to defame popular Vedic saints who make great strides for the Dharmic cause. Their next step has been to convert movie stars to gain influential voices, and with large amounts of money buy the cooperation of politicians. <O></O> Activities in other parts of India include providing provisions to the poor, as long as they convert to Christianity. I have also seen where hospitals provide free medical care, such as for women giving birth to babies, as long as they sign papers that say they convert to Christianity. Or new water wells established in a poor village, but in front of a church where the pastor makes sure no non-believers are allowed to draw water. Or large corporations hire people for upper management only if they are Christian. In these and other ways, the plan is to convert with goods and allurements. <O></O> Other strategies include that Hindus and tribals are told that the worship of Vedic gods is actually the worship of the devil or Satan. Also create a fear in them of hell that can only be rectified by accepting Christianity, and tell them that they remain poor because they have not converted. The newly converted are asked to make other converts, and to destroy Vedic temples to prove their dedication to their new faith. These are all strategies that often involve trickery and lies that actually go against the real teachings of Jesus. <O></O> In Karnataka, for example, in 2003, as reported by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and in “India Today”, 79 crores ($790,000,000) was collected from about two lakh (200,000) temples. From that, temples received 7 crores ($70,000,000) given for their maintenance, Muslim Madrassas and Haj subsidy (for trip to Mecca) was given 59 crores, and churches about 13 crores. Twenty-five percent of the two lakh temples i.e., about 50,000 in Karnataka, will be closed down for lack of resources. <O></O> In Kerala, funds from the Guruvayur temple are diverted to other government projects denying improvements to 45 Hindu temples. Land belonging to the Ayyappa temple (in Sabarimala) has been grabbed and church backed encroaches are occupying huge areas of forestland running into thousands of acres near Sabarimala. With a new Devaswom ordinance 1800 new temples are taken under government control. In this way, the looting of temple finances and properties continues unabated. It is said that this state alone has 29,000 Christian missionaries and clergy and 19,000 in Muslim counterparts whose main preoccupation is conversion of Hindus. Kerala is a precursor for the state of things to come for the Hindu community in India. With 56 percent Hindu population, it hardly controls 25 percent of the economy.<O></O> In Maharashtra, the government recently declared to take over all the temples. This is a precursor to repeat the process already happening in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. Articles 25 and 26 of the Indian Constitution guarantees public establishment and maintenance of religious institutions and to administer such property in accordance with law has been completely ignored toward Hindu foundations. While looting Hindu institutions, the Governments subsidizes the "Hajj" pilgrimage for the Muslims to the tune of Rs. 380 crores annually (including subsidy to airlines), and provides 1000 crores per year for the salary of Imams, and provides funds to churches.<O></O> It is obvious that the current laws in the country are discriminatory towards Hindu religious institutions and it is important that Hindus demand that the government accord Hindu institutions the same status as Muslim and Christian institutions. The existence of the Hindu majority of India is being threatened in their own homeland. Selfish politicians are bent on destroying the Vedic Dharma and its culture that goes back thousands of years. Mahatma Gandhi who fought all of his life for social justice and religious tolerance called religious conversions by missionaries the deadliest poison that ever sapped the fountain of truth. <O></O> Readers are requested not to merely stand by and hope that nothing will happen to Hindu Vedic Dharma. One thousand years of foreign rule has resulted in loss of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangla Desh, and the cultural loss of Kashmir. Today a half-million Kashmiri pandits are living as refuges in their own mother land for more than a decade and are dying in large numbers. There has also been the cultural loss of the four states of northeast India which were a Hindu majority as recently as 1948. Next in line for losing its traditional culture is Andhra Pradesh. <O></O> Hindus who are complacent need to understand the consequences if the current situation continues. Missionaries with the help of leftists and crooked politicians, pseudo-secularists, working in a democracy with a highly corrupt political system, a culturally deprived intelligentsia, with billions of dollars and little scruples, have the potential to convert a majority of India=s population away from the culture of their homeland in just a few years. This, along with vote bank politics, can result in complete marginalization of Hindus and the division of India. In such a situation, those who do not convert will be at an enormous disadvantage economically and spiritually. <O></O> Any Hindu or Dharmist who is more concerned with himself, his family and his own personal advancement over and above his contribution to his society and culture, only decreases the future well-being of them and its traditions, and reduces his own participation in securing a positive future for them. <O></O> It is time for all Hindus and followers of Vedic culture to stand strong for Dharma and to unite and work together to preserve and protect their culture by consolidating their votes to remove those politicians who are not supportive of Vedic Dharma, and to bring in those who are. We must remove all superficial differences among the numerous Hindu organizations and realize that without a unified platform, all forms of discord will be taken advantage of by those who work against us and wish to see the demise of Vedic culture. This must never happen, and we can all work together to prevent it. Now is the time to work together more than ever. <O></O> <O></O> <O></O> MORE INFORMATION<O></O> <O></O> For a complete report on the U. S. 10. Sri Sri Guru and Gaurangau Jayatah Dandavads.. Yes it is true, not a hoax. Our dear Puru Prabhu had a heart attack and did not recover, as far as I know this happened yesterday, tuesday. Puru Prabhu had heart problems. He spend 6 months in India recently and wasnt back for long. Sriman Puru Prabhu was best know for His Bhaktivedanta Memorial http://www.bvml.org/ He also tirelessly preached against sectarianism within our worldwide vaisnava family, defeated the ritvik dogma countless of times and sold Srila Prabhupadas books for many years under the same tree Srila Prabhupada ones stood to introduce our philosophy. Srila Prabhupada in New York's Tompkins Square Park, Summer 1966. The East Village Other said that "he had suceeded in convincing the world's toughest audience that he knew the way to God." Puru Prabhu was a great sincere devotee of the Lord and i offer my humble and respectful dandavads to Him 1000s of times. He was my friend and godbrother and when i was down and spiritually a wreck He helped me so very much. I will miss your association Puru Prabhu Haribol !!

 12. Dear Guruvani Prabhu I do and read and hear every spare minute ive got. Yes, Srila Narayana maharajas continuous advice is and has always been, to read Srila Prabhupadas books, listen to his lectures and try to understand what Srila Prabhupada has written and spoken. Even if this is an obvious requirement for every Prabhupada disciple anyway, and one might say we dont need anyone to tell us this.....it has a very inspiering effect when those reminders are spoken by someone like Srila Narayana Maharaja, who is completely pure and desireless and whose obvious mission partly is to re-inspire those who have fallen away in the past to cont to follow Srila Prabhupada and pick up devotional service again. Not something just anyone could do. He was asked by Srila Prabhupada, to help His disciples ones He is gone and He is doing an incredible service to do just this. When I met Him first, it was like meeting Srila Prabhupada again. These are the great devotees of the Lord, their only mission is to guide the conditioned souls back to Krishnas lotusfeet, they are desireless and full of love and compassion, all comming and trailing in the wake of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu to deliver the fallen souls back to godhead. what more can be said, these great devotees stirr up incredible transcendental vibrations everywhere, fueled by their total love for Radha and Krishna, spreading the sweet aroma of vrindavan everywhere and everyone is wondering where this sweet aroma is coming from... Narayana Maharaja is such a person, He has no desire to take over Iskcon or distort Srila Prabhupadas teachings, in fact He lectures and writes AS IT Is and never touches subjects not meant for our ears...like some like to lie about... One should seek His association as much as possible, there is no way not to make advancement even by meeting Him for just a moment, as it was with Srila Prabhupada. Haribol
 13. More tumeric i say it is very good to help preventing alzheimers. I read that the reason why countries like India have such a low rate of alzheimers is because their diet is always full of tumeric, which has the compound cuncumine which is very good for all sorts of memory problems
 14. Haribol Damodara Priya dd, pamho, AGTSP I just finished my new weightloss cd, its based on the thought processses of succesful slimmers during their weight cessation period. There is obviously no reference to "flesh eating" All you have to do is to think along and make the words you hear your own, in a short time you will be able to begin acting upon them and loose weight. It is a hypnotic recording and designed to allow the suggestions to enter your subconscious mind, reframing those thoughts and emotions which previously prevented you from being successful. I have been helping many people to become fit and slim in the past and so I am confident that this CD will help you. It can be used on its own and will also complement any popular weightloss program you may be using right now. Its available at www.grimsbyhypnosis.co.uk Haribol Yhs Devarsirat das ACBSP 1976

 16. http://www.purebhakti.com/library/index.shtml "A Drop of the Nectarian Ocean of Bhakti-rasa." Composed by Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura and translated and commented upon by Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja. Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura, the crown prince of illustrious teachers among the Gaudiya Vaisnava acaryas is the author of what is considered to be one of the greatest treasures of Vaisnavas. In this great book there is a description of the nature of uttama-bhakti, its divisions, saddhana-bhakti, the stages in the development of prema, the angas of bhajana, offences committed in the performance of devotional service (sevaparadha), offences against the holy name (namaparadha), vaidhi and raganuga-saddhana-bhakti, prema-bhakti, and bhakti-rasa. Srila Narayana Maharaja has written in his preface, "I have complete faith that those who are possessed of yearning for bhakti and especially the sadhakas of raganuga-bhakti who are captivated by vraja-rasa will receive this book with great reverence. Faithful persons who study this book will obtain qualification to enter into the wealth of prema of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu." Over 285 pages.

Your mind will be going into a comfortable trance and you wake up in the morning thinking "Oh, how did I fall asleep?" Listening regularly will also help you to stay peaceful and calm during the day and you can begin to handle situations rather the being handled by them Ys Devarsirat Das ACBSP 1976
 19. Yeah and ther is a Prabhupada saying as well. When I was with Guru Kripa and Yasodanandan Swami in Hong Kong "MonKog" collecting, he said to me " Prabhupada says the chinese eat anything in the sky except airplanes, everything on earth except mountains and everything in the water except ships" and at the time it was easy to believe that, because if you wanted to find MonKog markets, you only had to follow your nose......
 20. When I visited Holland in 2005 Srila Narayana Maharaja gave this class <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:" /> Tridandisvami Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja THE MEANING OF RADHE The Hague, Holland: July 9, 2005 [As an invocation to the 10th annual Holland Harikatha festival, Srila Narayana Maharaja asked the devotees to sing Srila Rupa Gosvami’s prayer, "Radhe, Jaya Jaya Madhava Dayite." He then gave an elaborate explanation of the prayer, and the transcription of that explanation is below:] radhe!jaya jaya madhava-dayite gokula-taruni mandala-mahite damodara-rati vardhana vese! hari-niskuta-vrndavipinese! vrsabhanudadhi-nava-sasi-lekhe lalita-sakhi! guna ramita-visakhe! karunam kuru mayi karuna-bharite! sanaka-sanatana-varnita-carite Radhe – what is the meaning of Radhe? “Aradyate iti.”Lord Sri Krsna Himself worships Srimati Radhika, and Radha worships Him. When She came from Krsna’s left side in the rasa-lila She at once ran to Him to worship Him – and He ran towards Her. “Radhe Jaya Jaya – Radhe, You should be glorious, You should be glorious.” “Madhava Dayite – You are very near and dear to Lord Madhava.” yasyah kadapi vasanancala-khelanottha- dhanyati-dhanya-pavanena krtartha-mani yogindra-durgama-gatir madhusudano 'pi tasya namo 'stu vrsabhanu-bhuvo dise 'pi [“Obeisances to the direction that faces Sri Vrsabhanu's daughter. When the breeze coming from that direction playfully moves the edge of Her garment, Lord Krsna, who cannot be attained by even the kings of the yogis, thinks that His life has now become a great success.” (Radha-rasa-sudha-nidhi, verse 2)] Once, Sri Krsna did something that offended Srimati Radhika, and She entered a sulky mood. She was sitting on one side of Radha-kunda, and Krsna on the other side. The breeze coming from Radha’s side touched the beautiful fragrance of Radha-kunda and also the veil of Radhika – not Radhika, but the veil which held her fragrance. That breeze then touched Krsna and He exclaimed, “My life is successful! My life is successful!” So many sages and saintly kings are able to control their minds, and their minds are thus purified. Yet, even in their meditation they cannot touch the lotus feet of Sri Krsna. On the other hand, by any connection with Radhika, by even the fragrance of Her veil, that same Krsna was overwhelmed. Radhika is so glorious. venum karan nipatitam skhalitam sikhandam bhrasdanca pita-vasanam vraja-raja-sunoh yasyah kadaksa-sara-ghata-vimurcchitasya tam radhikam paricarami kada rasena [“When will I delight in the service of Srimati Radharani? Struck by the arrow of Her side-long glance Krsna faints, His flute falls from His hands, the peacock feathers on His head become loosened and His yellow scarf slips from His neck.” (Radha-rasa-sudha-nidhi, verse 39, by Srila Prabhodhananda Sarasasvati)] Srila Prabhodhananda Sarasvati writes: "When will I have a chance to serve Srimati Radhika with rasa – manjari-rasa – which is so high class, even more so than the transcendental stages of sneha, maan, raga, anuraga and still more than that.” akhila-rasamrta-murtih prasrmara-ruci-ruddha-taraka-palih kalita-syama-lalito radha-preyan vidhur jayati [“Let Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, be glorified! By virtue of His expanding attractive features, He subjugated the gopis named Taraka and Pali and absorbed the minds of Syama and Lalita. He is the most attractive lover of Srimati Radharani and is the reservoir of pleasure for devotees in all transcendental mellows.” (Caitanya-caritamrta Madhya-lila 8.142)] When Sri Krsna plays His flute, all the gopis are controlled. He is an ocean of rasa. By His beauty and flute playing He controls Taraka, Pali, Candravali; and others, such as Bhadra and Syamala and Lalita are also controlled by Him. He also controls all the cows with His flute. Yet, when He saw Srimati Radhika, that flute fell from His hands and His peacock feather fell down to Her lotus feet. “Brasdanca pita vasanam – He did not know that His yellow shawl was also falling down. He became totally mad and at once fainted.” Srimati Radhika is so glorious, and therefore Srila Rupa Gosvami therefore sings, “Radhe, Jaya Jaya Madhava Dayite.” Srila Sukadeva Gosvami has quoted Sri Krsna in Srimad-Bhagavatam: na paraye ’ham niravadya-samyujam sva-sadhu-krtyam vibudhayusapi vah ya mabhajan durjara-geha-srnkhalah samvrscya tad vah pratiyatu sadhuna [“I am not able to repay My debt for your spotless service, even within a lifetime of Brahma. Your connection with Me is beyond reproach. You have worshiped Me, cutting off all domestic ties, which are difficult to break. Therefore please let your own glorious deeds be your compensation.” (Srimad-bhagavatam 10.32.22)] Srila Jayadeva Gosvami has also quoted Krsna in Gita-govinda: smaragarala kandanam mama sirasi mandanam dehi pada pallavam udbharam Sri Krsna is begging Srimati Radhika, “Oh, Devi, I am taking My ears in My hand.*[see endnote 1] I have done something wrong. I promise that in the future I will never again commit any offense to You. Be pleased with Me. I am offering My flute and My peacock feather at Your feet. I cannot tolerate Your separation for even a moment. I will die without You. So please excuse My faults. Please excuse me.” Sri Jayadeva Gosvami could not write this,*[see endnote 2] but our Gosvamis, like Srila Rupa Gosvami who is Sri Rupa Manjari could do so. How glorious is Radha. “Jaya Jaya Madhava Dayite – Sri Krsna is controlled by Srimati Radhika.” “Gokula taruni mandala mahite – So many gopis live in Gokula. They are extremely beautiful and Candravali is especially beautiful, but not like Radhika. Taruni mandala mahite – in this world no one is as near and dear to Krsna as Radhika.” “Damodara rati vardhana-vese – Damodara is controlled by His mother, but in this connection that very Damodara is now controlled by Radhika. Vardana vese – to increase Sri Krsna's love and affection, She appears in such beautiful ways.” "Hari-niskuta vrndavipinese" – Hari means Krsna, who takes the heart of everyone, especially the gopis. His garden is Vrndavana, where Yamuna is flowing, peacocks are dancing and cuckoos are singing. Everywhere there are beli, cameli and kadamba flowers. All stimuli are there. There, Krsna is not Vrndavanesvara (the Lord and controller of Vrndavana). Because Vrnda has given Vrndavana to Srimati Radhika – She is Vrndavanesvari. Especially, Sri Krsna is not Rasesvara (the Lord and controller of rasa-lila), rather, Radhika is Rasesvari. Lord Krsna is one of the participants, but Radhika is all-in-all. "Jaya Jaya – Oh Devi, be glorious, be glorious. Sprinkle a particle of Your mercy upon me.” vrsabhanudadhi-nava-sasi-lekhe lalita-sakhi! guna ramita-visakhe! (verse 3) “You are like the moon, who has arisen from the ocean of Vrsabhanu Maharaja’s love. [According to Srimad-bhagavatam, the moon was born from the churning of the ocean.] “Lalita sakhi guna-ramita-visakhe – You are the sakhi of Lalita.” In what way? dhurte vrajendra-tanaye tanu susthu-vamyam ma daksina bhava kalankini laghavaya radhe giram srnu hitam iti siksayantim devim gunaih sulalitam lalitam namami ["I offer pranama unto Sri Lalita-devi, the charming treasure-house of all good qualities, who instructs Srimati Radhika in this way: "O Kalankini (unchaste one)! Radhe! Listen to my good instructions which are favorable for you! Vrajendra-nandana is very crafty (dhurta). Don't display Your mood of gentle submission (daksina bhava) to Him; instead, in all circumstances be contrary." (Sri Lalitastakam, verse 4)] Srimati Lalita-devi is so near and dear to Srimati Radhika that sometimes she controls Radhika. “Dhurte vrajendra – Lalita says, ‘Vrajendra-nandana (Sri Krsna, the son of Nanda Maharaja) is a high class of cheater. He is black inside and He is black outside. He is black everywhere; so You should not be submissive towards Him. Always act in such way as to control Him. Don’t give up your maan (transcendental anger).’” Radhika wants to give up Her maan, but Lalita tells Her not to do so. "Radhe giram srnu hitam iti siksayantim” – Lalita is Guru of Radhika, so She can give anyone the dasya-prema of Radhika. yam kam api vraja-kule vrsabhanu-jayah preksya sva-paksa-padavim anuruddhyamanam sadyas tad-isöa-ghadanena krtarthayantim devim gunaih sulalitam lalitam namami ["I offer pranama unto the supremely charming Sri Lalita-devi, the treasure-house of all good qualities. Upon seeing any young maiden anywhere in Vraja and discerning that she is inclined towards her priya-sakhiSrimati Radhika, Lalita immediately tells Radha that She must accept this person in Her own party (sva-paksa). Radha obeys Lalita, who thus fulfills that maiden’s desires." (Sri Lalitastakam, verse 7)] Visakha took birth on the same day that Radhika took birth, so her beauty and other qualities are similar to those of Radhika. Her voice is so sweet, even more so than Sri Krsna’s. All her qualities are like those of Radhika. I pray that She will make me her disciple and give me training on how to serve Radhika and Krsna. karunam kuru mayi karuna-bharite! sanaka-sanatana-varnita-carite In this verse Srila Rupa Gosvami says that even those who are first-class brahmavadis, like Sukadeva Gosvami (when he first appeared in this would) and the Four Kumaras (who are forever 5 years old, who are always naked, and who are the first sons of Lord Brahma) are glorifying Srimati Radhika. Nisanta-lila (the end-of-night pastimes of Radha and Krsna) and other pastimes of asta-kaliya-lila (the 24-hour daily pastimes of Radha and Krsna) were told to the four Kumaras by Lord Siva, and then they wrote about it in the Brhat-vamana Purana. So Srila Rupa Gosvami is glorifying Sanaka, Sananda and Sanat and Sanatana Kumara. In this connection, Sanatana means Sanatana of the Four Kumaras. But Srila Sanatana Gosvami has also glorified Her, especially in Brhad-bhagavatamrta and in his Vaisnava Tosani commentary of Srimad-Bhagavatam. And we are now also glorifying Radhika, so that this Holland festival will be successful. I know that more than 1,000 devotees have come here from various parts of Europe, Australia, England, Russia and various other countries. There may be some problems. No one can satisfy everyone, and especially it is not possible to satisfy a child. If some problem comes, therefore, with hosting or prasadam or anything – it may come – please tolerate. You have all come for hari-katha, and we will give you hari-katha. We will give that hari-katha which Srila Bhaktivdenta Swami Maharaja, your Prabhupada, has left for me. He told me, “You should give this.” Try to drink the nectar of hari-katha with the two cups of your ears. Srila Sukadeva Gosvami has told about this, but not openly like I am telling. Sukadeva Gosvami has never openly told Radhika’s name in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, nor did he reveal the names of Candravali or Lalita and Visakha. But Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has revealed this, and in his parampara I am also telling you so many secret names and their sweet pastimes. Try to take this into your heart, and preach our mission throughout the world. Don’t be weak. “Radhe Jaya Jaya Madhava Dayite.” *[endnote 1 – pulling on ones own ears with both hands indicates ones admitting an offense and begging forgiveness] *[endnote 2 – Jayadeva Gosvami was somewhat hesitant to write the whole verse, because he had a hint of an opulence mood toward Sri Krsna. So, while he was out, Krsna Himself, in the form of Jayadeva, came to his house and wrote the rest of the verse in his devotee’s notebook.] Editorial Advisors: Pujyapada Madhava Maharaja and Sripad Brajanatha dasa Transcriber and typist: Vasanti dasi Editor: Syamarani dasi
 21. Trying to contact your beloved through the medium during seanse is nod adviced beacause mediums in most cases communicate with lower spirits that pretend to be somebody else. They are very deceitful and knowledgable and could easily trick you into believeing that you are talking to your beloved one. I heard that they may not do this do deceive in a nasty way, but to be kind to those who are left behind. whatever it is,it still makes a false promise to the ones still here and will prevent them from hearing proper philosophy. According to what I understand all those who passed away, all have different destinations according to their karma. Sometimes they may stay, sometimes not. It also depends how they died, if self inflicted or natural or by accident and so on, but there is no one rule that applies to everyone. I know that a lot of people like to believe that after death they all come together again, families, boyfriend and girlfriend, their dogs and other pets and them and so on, but according to the Vedas that is an imagination, because everyones destiny is different according to ones individual karma. Its the spiritualist church who likes to spread this type of idea that we will all be one happy family after death, but it has no scriptural base in the bible and I believe it is born out of compassion for not knowing what to say to those who are left behind, to heal their feelings and to raise their hopes, as well as giving them a feeling of " he or she is still with me, right now in this room" In their grief people like to see it that way and somehow they are not entirely wrong, because the soul never ever dies and from that point of view no one has ever died yet, only the physical body dies, the soul, "we" will never die and as such whoever has died, even millions of years ago, is still present somewhere, but not necessarily unseen in our direct presence in another dimension. They might have been born again already or are waiting in an interim place to be called up or are in some new mothers body waiting to be born again somewhere else. One who remembers Krishna at the time of death will never have to be born again in any of these worlds. If a person has become a devotee of the Lord, many members of His family, past and present and future all benefit
 22. A very happy Radhastami on Friday to all Your servant Devarsirat das Radhe Radhe Radhe jai jai jai Sri Radhe
 23. I spoke with a Muslim the other day and he was adamant that the absolute truth is only an energy not a person. I came out with so many statements, but still he was totally fixed in his conceptions based on blind following..... That is why mayavadi philosophy is actually dangerous, because it leads people down wards, not up. It is a philosophy which can easily be defeated by simple logic, yet the mayavadies don't want to see that, like the Muslims, they want to pray to a non-person an energy without personality and expect answers to their prayers. Vaisnavas do not hate those people, but we are much against those faulty philosophies and conceptions which are around. So it might look as if we hate but in reality we do not hate anyone, just the damage these philosophies are causing to innocent people. The Absolute Truth is a person and has all those energies people are attracted to, like space, emptiness, nirvana, light etc. but without the personal aspect, these energies can not be called perfect or absolute. That what is absolute has to have everything in full, as well as the personal aspect and the impersonal aspect, because all energies emanate from Him. Behind the light there is the Personality of Godhead and He is the highest goal all other goals are inferior.
 24. Whats mind? it does not matter whats matter? never mind;) The mind actually can be put into two half's. The left side of the brain is your conscious mind, involved in thinking and learning The right side of the brain is what we call the subconscious or unconscious mind With the conscious mind you can learn, accept and reject with the help of the intelligence. Everything you have learned from early childhood was processed by the conscious mind. The subconscious mind carries impressions, like memories, pictures, creative ideas, but it has no ability to distinguish between fact and fiction, that is left to the conscious mind the left side of the brain. So when you have a deep rooted feeling or habit that you want to get rid of, just by wishing hard or telling yourself so, you will find that because it is situated inside the subconscious mind, whatever you say will bounce off it and is only be heard by the conscious mind. When it comes to ideas feelings or thoughts which are fixed and rooted inside the subconsciouss the subconsciouss mind overrides the conscious mind and in this way we sometimes act as if against our will In order to change that, you literally have to enter the subconscious mind during very deep relaxation find out what you are thinking, then think of other more positive ways more suited to what you really want and change those thoughts. When you are on a level of wide awake, analyzing and engaging your conscious mind all the time, you have little chance to succeed. The reason for that is, that the subconscious mind is only accessible when you are very deeply relaxed. In hypnotherapy for example the reasoning and constantly analyzing faculties of the conscious mind are switched off and bypassed and the hypnotherapist can at that time plant new suggestions into the subconscious mind, who by its very nature can not reject them and in this way with a hypnotherapists support or practicing self hypnosis you could aid your Krishna Consciousness in that way. For as long as those false conceptions locked inside the subconsciousness are not changed and replaced by more positive ideas we will always act in unwanted ways as if by force. To get into your subconscious mind and swap a few thoughts around and make them suiting you, would certainly accelerate your progress in Krishna Consciousness a lot. Especially self limiting bothering and unwanted thoughts as well as old habits can all be treated successfully
