It might help to a great extend to stop politics in the movement and greater kindness, understanding and caring between the devotees. This is something Srila Prabhupada would have approved of, I am sure, of course, if the students are injected during the courses with institutional politics like "its only Iskcon and so on" gaudya math is useless and all these missconceptions are subtley or openly imposed into the minds of students,then whats the use? When the people of the world know this as the formula for peace, it is then and there that peace will prevail. Therefore, if you want peace at all, you will have to change your consciousness into Krsna consciousness, both individually and collectively, by the simple process of chanting the holy name of God. This is a standard and recognized process for achieving peace in the world. We therefore recommend that everyone become Krsna conscious by chanting Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare. What can you expect from the wannabe "big Controllers?" The non devotees need to get involved in all this, but for devotees, with all that what is going on in the world, ... this is the time to get our heads into Hari Katha and have nothing to do with the mundane world. Devotees business is using all our senses to be full of sweet Krishna consciousness, inside, outside, above and below, left right front back and center, with sound, with feeling and with vision. Dont get entangled, take a watchful and informed, but detached position and simply chant and eat prasadam, distribute books, go and see Narayana Maharaja, take shelter ....my advice for what it is worth...

Haribol, does your radio connection work? I click on radio see above, and the window pops up and I choose a station, but the field stays blank and nothing happens, thats with all stations. How do I configure my browser, or norton internet security may be ? what could be the problem? Many thanks

I have the latest edition of windows media player but I cant open any file so far i downloaded 3 of them I also live in the past, but more in the 15th century then the 80s when it comes to computers e.g. All that works is sound but no picture? There are hundreds of devotees who have had experiences with drugs and all of them will tell you the same, you have to have the association of devotees in the temple, get a spiritual master and begin to follow devotional principles, practice bhakti yoga and make your first step to get out of this place "the material world" for good. On your own it will be very difficult because of the lack of association with saintly people and the freedom you have to go out and get drugs at any time. You have to make arrangements to solidly restrickt yourself. If you want to become free from drugs you have to go to a place where you cant get them and away from those so called friends and your old environment. I did that in 1976 when I joined in Schloss Rettershof in Germany and found myself a year later somewhere on the streets of germany distributing books, realizing that I used to take lsd, speed and hashish every day for more the 10 years, but not anymore. That was a very good feeling. In fact after moving into the temple I did not even miss it, from day one. The constant chanting and service gave me the taste of a wonderful brilliant sparkly and beautyful consciousness, which surpassed by far everything I ever experienced until then and I was hooked and I am still hooked all these years later. You need to understand, that by giving up material enjoyment and practicing spiritual life you are not loosing anything at all, in fact you are only gaining and that will become evident for you ones you just experience just a little taste of the beauty of devotion for Krishna. In the light of that, everything else becomes tasteless and dull. If you are really serious to get out of this and become self realized, here is a path which works better then brilliant. There is no material solution to our problems in this world, we are spiritual by nature and need spiritual food and association. Whatever is holding you back to move in with the devotees and give it your best shot, in reality what have you got to loose? It worked for me and I will never ever go into any kind of drug again and you can understand, that if a good consciousness and a healthy body is possible for other people then it is available for you also, everything depends on the choices you make right now. You have the amazing ability of forsight, so look into the future, your future, you think if you dont change what you are doing now, the future will be any different from your past? Do you want to look back at this time in your life one day with hindsight and full of regret because you never made a serious attempt to change something now? You have tried so many things in your past to avoid suffering and you failed miserably, so now is the time, to try something else, your old ways did not work, otherwise you would not be where you are now feeling miserable and depressed. Try this, you will feel like a fish back in the water. But whatever you do, do not loose faith in Krishna, He will help you, its not His fault that you are experiencing so much trouble. Everything we are experiencing is a result of our past choices, we have brought it upon ourselves and can not blame it on other people or circumstances, we need to understand this and take reponsibility for our actions, past and present, then things will get better. Dont blame the world or god for what you are going trough as long as you do that you find that you are just hanging in there. Have a good look at your self and say " I dont want to live like this anymore, I have had it up to here and from now on, I am taking responsibility and change my actions, i will make positive choices and reject everything that is bad for me and accept everything that is good for me, based on Krishna consciousness. Make a decision and go for it walk into a temple and say here I am, I want to be a fulltime devotee and from then on everything will change as if by magic. Haribol

That may be true when you preach to someone who is beginning trying to understand Krishna Consciousness, but ultimately it is important to know the final conclusion of everything concerning Krishna Consciousness. Which is that we have not come from Goloka Vrindavan or Vaikuntha and that we have arrived from the tatastha-sakti region of the spiritual world. We have been with Krishna formally similarly like the child is with the father before conception, but there is NO writing in any of Srila Prabhupadas books, that we have been formally cowherd boys, a gopy, or even a blad of grass in the spiritual world. He does not even say this in any of His letters, He only makes suggestions which are easier to understand for neophite devotees in lectures and letters, but in His books we will find the final conclusion, He never writes that we have arrived here from Goloka Vrindavan or even from Vaikuntha. C&P: "The living entities are manifested and are divided into two classes, eternally conditioned and eternally liberated. Such living entities are innumerable, and they are considered fundamental parts of Krsna. Material energy is manifested into twenty-four divisions. The creation is effected by eternal time, and it is created and dissolved by external energy. This manifestation of the cosmic world repeatedly becomes visible and invisible. ...The living entity in his original position is pure spirit. He is just like an atomic particle of the Supreme Spirit. The conditioned living entity, however, is the marginal energy of the Lord; he tends to be in contact with both the material energy and the spiritual energy. In other words, the living entity is situated between the two energies of the Lord, and because he belongs to the superior energy of the Lord, he has a particle of independence. By proper use of that independence he comes under the direct order of Krsna. Thus he attains his normal condition in the pleasure-giving potency." Bhagavad-gita 18:78 I never read Srila Prabhupada writing in any of His books, that the inhabitants of Goloka or Vaikuntha are originally tiny atomic particles of the Supreme Lord or that they are in contact with both the material energy and the spiritual energy The final conclusion always comes from His books, not from letters or lectures. His books are the final say on the matter, how can it be otherwise, since we all know, that the spiritual master sometimes uses His preaching genius according to time and circumstance in order to attract the living entity to Krishna? But ones the devotee is gaining more understanding he should only referr to His books, because they only represent the final conclusions. I am only humble with devotees who can understand this mood and respect it and with devotees who can not, Iam assertive and "show my hood" in a calm and firm manner. Confidence also means that you are not afraid to let others know how you feel about their behaviour, if they dont respond and change for the better, you should stay away from them, but do not criticize them. However, If you also get bullied by friends and even relatives and it was something that took place even b4 you became a devotee, then it might be something in your personal make up, that triggers this of and you have to work on yourself a little, in order to get rid of whatever it is. It could also be that you are to sensitive to what others do and say in your presence and see their intentions in a wrong way, if this is the case and you openly show your dissatisfaction, then this kind of reaction from you, can also promt further bullying and abuse, especially from non devotees. As it starts slowly it will fade away and you are seeing right now a huge increase of people all over the world becoming very interested in spiritual matters, you know the saying ...before it gets better it gets worse? Why do they become interested in spiritual matters? becaue there is so much suffering right now it has increased so much and people everywhere getting more and more fed up with the life they are living. High taxes, cheating heads of states, war mongers and so on, it pushes normal folks into the right direction. 500 years ok that is not much at all, but for the world to change, so many other things have to happen first and i think the big spring cleaning has began to take place, the world will see many terrifying things in the years to come...

Srila Prabhupada writes in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 3.7.9: Quote: "According to Visnu Purana, Bhagavad-gita and all other Vedic literatures, the living entities are generated from the tatastha energy of the Lord." Srila Prabhupada sometimes says the jiva falls from association with Krsna and sometimes he says the opposite. It seems to be contradictory, but I think this is according to time and circumstance and depends to whom he is talking but then in His books Srila Prabhupada states the final conclusion "The conclusion is that no one falls from the spiritual world, or Vaikuntha planet, for it is the eternal abode." Srimad Bhagavatam 3.16.26: Bhaktivinode Thakura writes in the tattva viveka on page 55 "It should be understood that the jiva soul is neither produced of this material world, nor created in the transcendental world. They are originated from the marginal line between the transcendental and mundane spheres." As far as I understand, the inhabitants of krishnas planets, are eternally liberated souls and they only descent to assist in one of Krishnas pastimes otherwise they never do. The idea that there is an original of us in the spiritual world and we are like an expansion is a faulty speculation, put into circulation by one "high up" in Iskcon in a btg article ones a couple of years ago and has no foundation in any of our authorised books at all, so dont wonder if there is something like this and stick to what Srila Prabhupada writes, that is always best.

Yesterday I listened all day to Srila Prabhupadas chanting and in the same time run a slideshow of Radha Krishna Pics & Srila Prabhupada on my comp nonstop as well as chanting sometimes loud and sometimes inside, and as a result I became more then very happy and it is true, at such a time surrender is the only nature. I wondered, since I have had Radiology treatment round my neck, mouth and throat I have lost my saliva glands my mouth is constantly dry like the desert and i also experience a locking up of my jawmuscles including pain after chanting for an hour or so, i can only talk/chant for that time in one go, even if I pause and start again after maybe two hours its starts again ,just sooner and i have to stop again, it seems that the upper row of my teeth is dislocated from the lower part..so i work part time and do what i can. In these circumstances is it okay to listen lets say to Srila Prabhupadas chanting and chant together with Him in my mind, or simply chant in my mind? its obviously not the same but something. Iwill never be able to chant 64 rounds or even 16 verbally, only in my mind and i would love being able to chant properly again. I am just glad I got my ears to hear:)

Thats completely normal and stops automatically after a while, its also completely harmless and most likely due to to much work on the computer or stress, not enough relaxation eg, so dont worry, try some proper relaxation and it will go away

Try accupressure for the pain which is very simple. My wife Sumitra dd always had to take strong painkillers and since she uses accupressure she was able to stop. Another great help can be hypnotherapy or self hypnosis which can be learned easily.
