  1. Found it under SRI prabhu thank you.
  2. Which is exactly what is meant by saying religion is the opiate for the masses ( No offense meant to anyone). Just out of curiosity, who is actually giving it all up? In my opinion, the count will be a single digit number ( Again no offense meant to anyone). Cheers That's for the Lord to decide prabhu I'll probably be the last on the line. But I've seen and met many glorious candidates in my life who have dovetailed their lives to the will of the Lord. "Be sure to entertain strangers for they may have entertained Angels unawares" No offence taken personally Krsnas Love is sssssssssoooooo imeasurable!! But unfortunately mine is non existent So please be kind to this heart of mine

  4. The Sweetheart of My Sweet Heart aham bhakta paradhino hy asvatantra iva dvija sadhubir grasta-hrydayo bhaktair bhakta-jana-priyah S.Bhag. 9.4.57 “I do not know anyone but My devotees. All the saints are my sweetheart and I am also their sweet heart. They do not know anyone but Me and I also don’t care to know anyone but them.” He is for the devotees and the devotees are for Him. And how many devotees there are we can't even imagine. Srimate Radhrani prays, “You have captured my heart fully. Every atom of my body wants only you, but the circumstances are so cruel that we are parted. So I will jump into that deep well, taking my own life. I pray You will come and take my position and I will take Yours, Oh Krishna, Oh Sri Nandanandan, then You will realize what hopelessness I am going through and will understand my trouble.” In that self-same mood Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, “My friends, save Me by showing Me Krishna. Otherwise I can’t maintain My existence, what I once saw, touching My heart like lightning then withdrawing, show Me once again for I cannot tolerate the separation. How many times can one die in a second to earn that fortune, to get a moments perception of Krishna? I am ready to die millions of times. My heart bursts without having a second view of that wonderful thing. I had a little experience previously, but beauty and sweetness can be so cruel. If I don’t get that vision I shall die.” The bittersweetness of a devotional life by Srila Sridhara Maharaj Or how much can we take, without giving? I really want to know you Lord but it takes so long my Lord. My sweet Lord

  8. It's a delicate subject matter talking about our Gaurdiya acharyas. I know for a fact that Srila Sridhara Maharaj only ever wanted to harmonize differences and he was always respected as a harmonizer by a majority of his Godbrothers. He tried his best up to a point where he had to separate himself from the overwhelming separate interest. At this time he established SCSM. He lived a simple semi-reclusive life for some time untill many of his godbrothers came to try and draw him out to preach, including a dharsan of Lord Nityananda Prabhu who inspired him to give the treasure that he carried within his heart. Amongst them ACBSP and many others whom he gave Diksa and sanyas to, tried to engage him in their respective preaching missions. But in his own words he was a back-pushing man. Very humble and simple in habit by nature. It wasn't untill the westerners discovered him thru SP that Srila Govinda Maharaj begged him to give initiation to these floundering souls who arrived like refugees on his doorstep. Even tho he was reluctant to take many disciples SGM, along with Badri Narayan Bhagavat Bhusan his secretary, convinced him it was an emergency situation, so they opened up the door to the western wave of dedicated enthusiasm. He took what may be considered a handful of these refugees,(My guess of apr. 500 to 1000 western disciples) my insignificant self included, under his wing. I personally liked the feeling of serving in a simpler, more intimate family of devotees who were still linked to the tree of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur, without the divisions of the Gaudiya Math or the difficulty of who would steer Iskcon. I felt very safe and assured every thing was in good hands, and I still do to this day. Even tho there are a number of missions that have come from Srila Guru Maharajs disciples, SCSW math is stable under the direction of Srila Govinda Maharaj and has flourished multifold thru his dedication. He has increased the glory of the Chaitanya Saraswat line, extending Guru Maharajs' grace to thousands more thru apr. 50 centres on every continent of the globe. I've personally come to except that the branches of the Caitanya tree have their own way of growing accordingly and the diversity has helped the movement flourish as much as it may have disturbed or stunted it originally, most sincere sadhakas are directed to their line and mood of devotion thru the Lord in their heart, and find a way to engage in suitable service, and many have matured considerably to take full responsibility since those volcanic beginnings.Apart from a few of these fanatical pockets it's all going on steadily overall. I was once sitting talking to a Brijabasi in Loi Bazaar. And I asked what have you seen sitting there in the heart of Vrndavan for 30 years, you must have seen them all come and go, expecting some far out mystical tale which I'm sure there are countless, this devotee laughed and answered immediately, "Altho so many vaisnavas, maybe even millions, have walked this road from every conceivable faith, line, math, sampradaya, country, province, searching for Krsna, and altho they are all different they actually felt a common bond with each other in Krsna, and altho they even may talk one against each other they never come to a ruinous feud, he said they come back again and again. Unlike religious rivallries around the world they never come to war." And he thought that was the most amazing miracle of all. It made me stop and reflect for a moment and have a laugh with him.
  9. For there to be true unity in diversity Srila GM used to say we must have common guardian, common master, then everything is harmonized around that centre common to all, no problem with difference, if it's all working for the same goal in mutual respect. Here's a little snippet from 'Absolute Harmony' SSM Disciple: How can we practically understand and apply the principle of harmony? Srila Sridhara Maharaj: In your conception what does harmony mean? Disciple: I understand that strictly speaking, harmony is a musical term referring to different musical tones which are in balance with each other. Srila Sridhara Maharaj: In a choir or an orchestra, many instruments are being played or many singers are singing so the variety will be a credit to the harmony. Different types of instruments are being played but there must be harmony there, and the highest harmony depends upon how the many different instruments are playing, preparing the music, yet they must all be attuned to the conductor. So sacrifice, dedication in its highest degree, will be of such nature that it can accommodate and tolerate all difference. Therefore by tolerance, harmony will increase. The highest type of harmony can tolerate any type of opposition, it is all-accommodating. In this way, the highest conception of dedication means there is the accommodation of an infinite variety within it, and its sweetness will increase more and more. So there are different instruments making different tunes from different strata of sound but they are all tuned to one. Plurality is connected to one center and is giving some sweet, soothing feeling of sentiment. Similarly we can see that the earth and all the planets are each moving in their individual ways but are connected to another force. The moon is moving around the earth, and there are so many planets moving in relation to other planets which in turn are moving in their own way, but all are moving around the sun. Variety meets unity in different planes of movement. That is harmony. This applies everywhere, including the plane of color and the plane of sound. Many branches meet together in the trunk of a tree, the trunk harmonizes the many leaves, this is the movement of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. We must see a common master, and work around the will of that master or conductor. Disciple: In the Absolute sense does discord bring harmony? Srila Sridhara Maharaj: In the highest Absolute there is room to accommodate everything, otherwise it can’t be Absolute. If we consider something to be Absolute but can still find something outside of that, then it cannot be Absolute. The Absolute accommodates everything, in Him even the enemy is our friend. The center is everywhere, there is no circumference. In that plane only God can be traced everywhere and He cannot be our enemy.
  10. Once had electric acupuncture in Hawaii for a long and persistent migraine condition that peaked on a flight from Korea to Hawaii. One session. Bingo. No more migraine for the last 25 yrs. I'm a convert. I now have one Godbrother who practices accupuncture along with Chinese Herbs and he usually can noticeably relieve any condition I pick up, short of birth, old age and death.
  11. No matter what I try to put on my hair it just keeps waving adios Maybe it's the Wurry Katha I'm engaged in.
  12. I forgot to say "Oh Lord give us a dash a' mercy on the rocks" The unfortunate dilemna in Oz is that we're lookin' up to you guys to give us a lead. Still we love most of you we're working towards an unconditional relationship.
  13. But immaturity comes in different guises. In the U.S., adulthood is so deferred that many Americans exist in a state of perpetual childhood, grown men and women reduced to 300-lb. toddlers waddling down the street sipping supersized sodas from plastic bottles with giant nipples. Is that what America is really like? Sounds like it's changed a bit since I was there, I thought it was the home of the free. Just about everyone here in Australia thinks America is 'Hamburger Heaven'. My daughters highest aspiration in life is a pilgrimage to Disneyland. I did a good job in educating her hey?
  14. No offence to your wife prabhu I'm sure she is a wonderful Vaisnavi and companion, as so many of the Bengali ladies are. My dandavat pranams to her and yourself. My affirmation of Atma devis advice comes from some experience in the company of the Bengali ladies who are very charming and sometimes so friendly that one feels a certain platonic chemistry develop due to us in the west freely mixing with the opposite sex it feels quite natural to mix it with the girls when they show interest to communicate, I've done this various times out of frienship but the next thing the environment are all calling you a red monkey so I was just considering these experiences when I heard this story. 16. As soon as they quote, I am the ONLY way, I run the other way. But depending how one presents Harer nama Harer nama Hare namaiva kevalam kalau nasty eva nasty eva nasty eva gatir anyatha also may well alter the timespan we hold anothers attention. Everyone thinks their Lord is the One and only best, otherwise what's the point of worshipping a losing God. Why worship # 2. But I know my Lords #1.If your God is a loser, then can you feel like a winner, unless of course we are in competition to Him and that's certain suicide. Sorry the thought process takes one in some unusual directions at times. Gaura hari Gaura hari
  17. Thanks again for that info, it fills in a blank space on the canvas of the overall picture I have of this vast and extensive puzzle. When I resided in Vrndavan in my younger days, filming various temples and lines of worship, sometimes around the time of the major festivals Like Janmastami and Radhastami, all would work very diligently to out devote the other temples. In a sense it was an unspoken thing but if one remained objective you couldn't help but notice the competition. A little friendly competition never hurt up the standard of devotion. I'm sure the Lord takes delight in seeing so many beehives busily engaged in making such tastful arrangements for their divine pleasure. Anyway when I was filming at the Radhavallabha Temple I was always struck with their exquisite flower and jewel decoration, truly amazing artistic craftsman ship, also their musicians are extremely talented but for some reason i always felt it to be more a performance, that was not so easy to enter, as is the sankirtan of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. And I would feel separated from the bhajans other than thru meditation, which because I'm attracted to the dance aspect of kirtan would leave me feeling like a porkchop in Jerusalem. I can see from all that you have related they appear to be very pukkha in their dress and very well groomed, perhaps the Vaisnava equivalent of the English gentry. I can remember thinking the poojari even walked like a peacock, or a French aristocrat, I tend to have a taste for the arts in Krsna conciousness myself and I think that is what had me very hipnotized. Those deity decorations of Sri Nathji are truly extraordinary but with my simple taste I could never picture The Lord playing in the groves of the forest in all that attire. No offence but I tend to see the Lord in a very relatable fashion 'cept of course in special grand festivities. This feeling tends to arise in the South Indian Temples like Sri Rangan, and Venkateshwaran at Tirupati, I miss the simple cowbow Govinda and of course His Companion. That doesn't diminuish the dedication in these majestic and awe inspiring centres of worship, it's just a personal taste preference.
  18. Prabhu, if you can come up with a workable model, I'll personally offer you 3 arotis a day. Now is that an incentive or what.
  19. Now that's good advice. I'd hate to see our ole mate running full monty thru the rice paddies with a trail of fire in pursuit. Not that he would ever be swayed.

  21. Yes precisely! That's more or less what I was trying to express. But at the same time it does'nt apply to any and all gurus, they must BE guru, embody that Christ principle. Not just play it. Then they will be the True Way of Life. Or the Living Way of Truth that will reveal our beloved Lord.
  22. N-e of east for entrance is perfect. My plan is already designed to fit into that. Pheeeeww thought I might been out of harmony with the universe for awhile, then i thought naaa the universe must be outa whak with me.
  23. I see now, I caught it from another angle, thanks for the offer, any preferred means of communication. I'll need a contact address. Affectionate Dandavats.
