  1. Factors and Influences Kalyaanavarma – Mangalyadharmapanshtikamahatvashiksha biyog purrashtram yanasansuvarnadhanya, Putraprabhurjeevahaha. The influence of Jupiter extends to auspicious occasions, religion, physical well-being, education, abstinence, magnanimity, country, vehicle, sleep, gold, prosperity and son. Of these, the expression Niyoga can have multiple interpretations. It can mean utility, need, sensuous, pleasures, effort, determination, progeny by association with brother-in-law (devar) after the death of husband. The meaning should be derived as per the context. Baidyanaath – Pragyavittasharirapushtitanyagyagyani vaageeshwaraat, Acharya deva gurubhusurshapdoshe shokam cha gulmarujamindraguruhu karoti. Intellect, wealth, physical well being, progeny and knowledge are determined with Jupiter as the reference. Disappointment because of the curse or anger of teachers, deities and sages is an effect that Jupiter can bring on. Gulma rog (??) is also attributed to it. Paraashar – Swakarmyajanadevabrahmindhangriha kanchana-vastraparamitlaandulanadikarakao guru. Self enterprises, yagyas, deities, Brahmins, house, clothes, gold, utensils, friends and the honour of being seated in a palanquin, all come under the influence of Jupiter. Gunaakar – Dhishnat sukhancha. Prosperity should be determined in relation to Jupiter. Sarvarthachintamani–Vagdhoranimantrarajatantranaishthihi kagjaaturgyamnigambhavabodhakarnaputrasampaajjyejeevanopaye-karmayoga simhasanakaarako guru. Speech, foresight, Vedic hymns, politics, elephants, horses, teaching, son, means of livelihood, detached efforts, (karmayoga), action without caring for the consequences and throne are determined by Jupiter. Jeevanath – Vachanpatutvaturangam saukhyam tantravichaar-anripal vinodaam. Santsaukhyamalam nigamarthagyaanamushthan-gabalam gurutascha. Eloquence, infantry, happiness of the King, progeny, knowledge of the Vedas and physical strength - all these are influenced by Jupiter. Mantreshwar - Gyaanam Sadgunaatmajam cha sachivam swacharmacharyakam mahatmayam shrutishastradhismritmati sarvonnati sadgatim. Devabrahmanashaktimadhwarathpah shrad-dhaanch koshshthalam vaidushyam vijitendriyam dhavsukham sammanamidyadyam. Gulmantrajwarshokmohkaphjan shrothrath mahamahyam devsthanndihipraapidaanaam mahidevesh shapodbhavam rugam adhgurthkrishthaapacharodhabham. Knowledge, positive trains, son, minister, teacher’s ideal duties, knowledge of the Vedas, growth and prosperity, yagya, treasury, control over the senses, honour – all these are determined by Jupiter, Jupiter also causes the following diseases: intestinal problems, fever, cough, unconsciousness, ear diseases, diseases caused by the curse of Brahmins and deities, yaksha, kinnar and Nag. Vidyaranya – Guruna dehapushtishcha putrarthadhana-sampathaha. Physical well being, sons and wealth are determined by Jupiter. Western Views – Honour, fame, growth, face, friendship, protection, progeny, law makers, men of justice, politicians, judges, religious teachers, soothsayers, lawyers, students, those who achieve doctorates, university, class heads, convocation ceremony, factories manufacturing woollens, thighs, legs, right ear are all influenced by Jupiter. The following diseases are said to be influenced by Jupiter: diseases of the liver and lung, neurological diseases of the brain, inflammation of the intestines, heart attack, colic pain, pain in the spine, diseases of the ribs and blood vessels, blood infection and fever which lasts for a long duration. Inferences drawn from the above views – Kalyaanavarma has mentioned the term Niyoga. Opting for child birth by association with brother-in-law as it was meant to be has no relevance in present times because the practise of Niyoga has ceased since ancient times. Mantreshwar has described control over the senses (Jitendriyatva) among Jupiter’s influences. This description is in keeping with the Puranas. It is said in the Puranas that Jupiter’s wife had given birth to Mercury after an illicit relationship with the Moon. Due to this, it is only natural for Jupiter to turn to asceticism. Due to the person’s absorption with knowledge and learning, naturally he has little time for the company of women. The person has no time to spare to pay attention to any woman. It is, however, not quite clear why the author has listed ‘the company of the spouse’, in Jupiter’s spheres of influence. As such Jupiter is not about the company of husband or wife. Similarly, bereavement and attraction appear to have been wrongly attributed to Jupiter here as one is a trait characteristic of Saturn while the other is dominated by Venus. Other attributes like spiritual teacher, author of books, stable nature, fortitude in adversity, discretion, punctuality, fearlessness, simplicity, good food – these are the other features of Jupiter which do not deserve special attention. In my view, Jupiter influences the following attributes: second language, algebra, medicine, Hindu Law, Civil Law, Economics, Philosophy, Honorary degrees, Education Department, Film Censor Board, Secretariat, Advisers to Governor, College, Teachers, Professors and Barristers.

  4. Conjuction of Saturn and Rahu A "Shrapit yoga" Dr. Mukundbhai Acharya Confection of Saturn and Rahu such horoscope become (Shrapits). If there is confluence of Saturn and Rahu or if Rahu is in the sight of Satrun then such horoscope becomes Cursed (Shrapit). Because of the past birth's (Shrapit Yoga). Even though there are many good yogas in the horoscope good results are not obtained in this present birth. Though horoscope tallies even then in many cases divorce, being widow or widower Yogas are found. The other reason of it is that the relations between Saturn and Rahu is not taken into consideration and as general practice, Muliplies, Mars, Nadi and the moon are tallied and the marriages are fixed and as such sometime evil results are found. Therefore confluence of the Saturn and the Rahu or the relations of the Saturn and Rahu is necessary to take into consideration. According to my findings in Astrology most of the horoscope which has a confluence of Saturn and Rahu or Confuction of Rahu and Saturn the person who has this. It is seen that one of the members of his family has died of soul degenerated. And because of that a coconut is established. Every year performing house wife's rites or doing religious ceremony even then this occurs. A person from Rajpipla came to me some times ago one of his family members died premature and has become Ghost. At present nobody can sleep in the room near the stair case. This Ghost harasses. This gentleman has done many remedies but even then his did not get success. Get done 'Narayan Bali' but there is no recovery in the situation. A theft event occurred in the person's house and the blame came on to his son Naresh and also it was seen that one person is found mentally unsteady. One of his brother left home and had gone some where and the as yet where about in not known. Lastly on the next day of coconut day his one son because of slight mental disorder left home and went away. They went to inquire about the sone. After a month Mr. Mehta from Dakor come with the horoscope of a lost boy. Whether the lost boy is found or not, that I don't know. Because I tole Mr. Mehta to bring a piece of clothes that he has taken issue and things to be used for vership. Then after we have not met. What i mean to say is that because of Rahu and Saturn cursed Yoga' (Shrapit Yoga). Mental instability occurs. Sometimes a person leaves homes or goes to the other world such come early in the effect of subduiry. The other incident of evil spirit is from hereby of Kothi Falia. In that case one (female) lady died accidently and after that she became evil spririt and all members of the family has been troubled and bothered. Though coconut wad established and proper rites were not performed. Many evil events happende at Mr. Girbatsingh. He was is tussel with his wife which resulted is divorce. His sister went away some where whose where about is not known. In the horoscope of the man the Saturn and the Rahu confluence was found. The Shrapit Yoga Of Saturn and Rahu Carries On Hereditary If prevention is not done in the case of the Rahu and the saturn's shrpit Yoga then such Youga comes hereditary. For that I give here a horoscope of Mrs. Shantaben of patli from petlad Taluka. The Shrapit Yoga (Cursed Youga) has come along hereditary. In the horoscope of the lady (Mrs. Shantaben) in the 8th house there is a confluence of the saturn and the Rahu. Hence Sharapit Yoga (cursed effect) occured. In the fifth-house the Mars, the Jupiter and the Merecury is there. Two sons and a daughter, three issues, but because of the shrapit Yoga (cursed effect) the same shrapit Yoga has carried on is her issues (sons and Daughter) whose great effect resulted in his issues. A son Girish patel. A daughter Bharti patel, Many obstruction came in there study. The sone is married but, because of the Sharapit Yoga (cursed-effect) the situation has reached to the divorce whereas the daughter is still unmarried. You can observe that thought there is no chance of divorce (partition in the marriage) even then his wife is at her fathers place for three year and the procedure for divorce is going on. In this two horoscope the shrapit Yoga is became cause observe the sight of the saturn is on the Rahu. Over and above the eleventh house for venus is not good. Seventh ascendant venus is in the sight of the eleventh. This Yoga is also to my Astrologer friend. This gentleman did not marry again after the divorce. In the horoscope of the gentleman there is a "Shrapit Yoga" marriage was fixed by tallying the mars, Even then when the saturn was In "Vrukshika" Rasi the divorce took place. After that, second marriage was not possible. One lady's marriage was settled after tallying the Mars but her husband died in accident. The court case is going on for the Insurance amount, Bank balance salary and graduaty. This is all under obligation of the "Shrapit Yoga" of the Saturn and Rahu. Due to "SHRAPIT YOGA" there arises obstruction to get. Issue : (Santan-Prapty) Because of the Saturn-Rahu's relation obstacle come in getting issues. Some times at the old age the happiness of the issue is santched. Some times got no issue or in come cased only female issues are there. For this we will see other instances. Shri pareshbhai Modi who reside in surat opp. L.B. Talkies on Bhater Road has only female issues. He come to me with my friend Shri Rameshbhai Contractor. After holding "Santan prapty Yantra" he got a son. There is "Shrapit Yoga" in the horoscope if your hold yantra, There is certainly a gain. For that the incident or Mr. Pareshbhai Modi of Surat is there. Even Yoga has certainly a remodey but there are very few who know the real remedy. I have read many articules of-Astrologer friends. But every article is seen with negative approach. In every articleitis mentioned that if such yoga is there the result is bed. One Astrologer friend has written in his article that if there is the Moon in the 8th house then theres is premature death, water accident may occure but nobady has shown remedy for it. I have read in one article that if there is Rahu in the Fifth (5th) house and if has a relation with the sun suich girl does nor come in Meanses but what is the remedy of this? nobody has shown. My friends when there Saturn-Rahu relation and for this "Shrapit Yoga" there is a remedy can be done. This is my own Rechearch on Astrology. I have gote doctroiet on "Shrapit-Yoga". 5. Shrapit Yoga is also called Shrapit Dosha. Literary meaning of the word "Shrapit" is somebody who is cursed. Talks on "Shrapit Yoga" seems to be increasing on Internet and the public is very much confused due to the lack of authentic information. Shrapit Yoga is said to be formed when Saturn and Rahu are together in a single sign in a horoscope. Some astrologers also suggest that Saturn's aspect on Rahu also results in Shrapit Yoga. The result of the combination is told that the horoscope is cursed due to the deeds of the past life. It is suggested that even there are many good yogas in a horoscope, good results can not be obtained in the present birth, if "Shrapit Yoga" exists in the horoscope. Shrapit yoga" like "Kalsarpa yoga", is another factious yoga created by astrologers to make money. Scaring people is an easy way to make money and pundits very well know this fact. What a well chosen name "Shrapit Yoga" to scare people!!! Truly speaking there is nothing to fear about Shrapit Yoga. In my opinion, a birth chart should be analyzed in totality and the results should be predicted by synthesizing various good and bad yogas in a horoscope. No single yoga can take control over the whole chart. We need to judge planets involved in the yoga and also see the strength of those planets. For example in the case of Shrapit Yoga, if Saturn and Rahu are well placed, why there will be any malefic affect? Moreover, Rahu and Saturn are two friendly planets and the overall general result of the conjunction is positive rather than negative. This is simple Vedic astrology principle that two friendly planets go well with each other and give positive results. In Lal Kitab, Saturn and Rahu together are called Nagmani (Snake's Jewel) and regarded to give positive results. In Lal Kitab, Saturn is taken as snake and Rahu as a Jewel which sucks snake’s poison. According to the Nadi astrology, a person having this combination "amass money secretly even without knowledge of government (black money)". There are no malefic indications in Nadi as well. Finally, Rahu stays for one and the half years in a sign and Saturn stays for two and the half years in a sign. So generally this combination stays for a long time. For example, you will find this combination in majority of horoscopes of the people born in year 1978/1979/1980. Are they all cursed? Was those years cursed? This is ridiculous. The astrologer who tells you that you have "Shrapit Yoga" and you have to perform costly remedies for Shrapit Yoga to get rid of its ill effect, please understand that the astrologer is a cheat and you need to look for a good knowledgeable astrologer. There will be pundits who will try to sell all kind of pooja, yantra and gems etc. to you. Beware of such cheat astrologers. I would again reiterate that there is nothing to fear about "Shrapit Dosha or Shrapit Yoga."

  7. Hora Sara Ch. 31. Nakshatra Jataka The Dasha periods, in the scheme of Nakshatra Dasha, otherwise known, as Udu Dasha, or Vimshottari Dasha, are: 6, 10, 7, 18, 16, 19, 17, 7 and 20 years, respectively, for Surya, Chandra, Kuja, Rahu, Guru, Sani, Budha, Ketu and Sukra. These Dashas are lorded by the Grahas in the above order, counted from the Nakshatr Kritika. The order of the Dashas counts from one’s birth Nakshatr (i.e. the one occupied by Chandra), or the Nakshatr, in which Lagna is rising at birth. The ending periods of all the Grahas will be normally evil. During the conclusion of the Dashas of Surya, Kuja, Sani and Rahu, there will be diseases, destruction of wealth, disputes and evil incidents. The native’s death can occur during the Dasha of a Grah yuti with a malefic, or with Randhr’s lord. The Dasha of the particular Nakshatr, which is occupied by a malefic Grah, will bring about sorrow. The extent traversed in the said Nakshatr by the said cruel Grah will indicate the possible time. In the three groups of Nakshatras, if there is a weak malefic without Drishti from a benefic, such Dasha will cause death in its end. In the Dasha of a Grah occupying Rasi Sandhi (i.e. the area, where one Rasi ends and the other one starts), there will be diseases. In the end of the Dasha of the Grah, that heads towards the 30th degree of the Rasi concerned, death will take place. The portion still to elapse in the Janm Nakshatr should be multiplied by the Dasha years (as mentioned in Sloka 1 of this Ch.) and divided by 60. The quotient will indicate the years to lapse, as yet in the Dasha concerned. Similar calculations should be made through the remainder to ascertain the months etc. The Dasha effects should be predicted in the same order (from the balance of Janm Dasha obtained, as per Sloka 17). To obtain the Bhukti period of one Grah in the Dasha of another multiply the figure of years mutually and divide by 120. The Bhukti period is years is revealed. The effects of Antar Dashas stated earlier, should be applied. The results of Ketu will be, like that of Kuja, while Rahu’s effects will be, like Sani’s. The other Grahas produce even effects due to their nature. Thus, the good and bad of the Dashas should be understood. The effects of the Nakshatras (i.e. Vimshottari Dasha system) is acceptable to all, as stated. After very minutely examining these, the Dasha results should be predicted. Should Surya in transit reach the Rasi occupied by the Bhukti lord at birth, the effects will be marked to the particular Dasha. The effects should be calculated from the stronger of the two, i.e. Chandra and Lagna at birth. Thus ends the 31st Ch. entitled “Nakshatra Jataka” in Horashara of Prithuyasas, son of Varah Mihira.
  8. You will see many web sites where Lagna of divisional charts was discussed. Yet, most of the informatiom offered is quite useless and confusing. The reason lies in terrible lack of understanding the basics nature of the signs or rashis. My focus here will be on specific signs which will serve the rule of general principle. Navamsa chart- The best lagnas are Karka, Dhanu and Meena for relationships where high level of tolerance, sacrifice and mutual goals with people and associations are achived. However, for marriage, only Karka Lagna in Navamsa chart is favourable. Dhanu Lagna is very unfavourable to marriage particularly if Budha is there, while Atmakaraka in Dhanu navamsa (Particularly if atmakaraka is Budha) can even cause the curse of Dharma and Ishta Devata. The only solution will come from a strong and unafflicted Guru placed in trines to lagna or Karakamsa Lagna. Meena Lagna navamsa or karakamsa have a major failing for marriage. They want to marry Krishna, as it was nicely illustrated in the story of the princess Mina. If Meena is Navamsa Lagna or Karakamsa in a male chart, there can be a lack of progeny, unless there is a nulifying factor. Vrishaba Navamsa Lagna is SUPERB for marriage. There is a high level consciousness about relationships, and if Chandra is well placed a person will handle partners with a great care and conscious efforts. Of course other karakas should not be afflicted Thula Navamsa has a major problem since there will be too much fighting in relationships, particularly if mangal aspects. A person will trully suffer the curse of Subramanya Vrischika navamsa is the worst lagna to rise in Navamsa Chart as far as marriage and dharma is concerned. A person is fully unaware of their destiny and needs of a spouse. Their intelligence has gone in this area. If chandra is there or Budha is there one of them being Atmakaraka, the soul cannot see their destiny and a high level of immorality and corupt character will be there. Mithuna Navamsa is also bad particularly if Shukra is in Lagna in mithuna. A person may remain childless and due to insatiable lust and conflicts, and huge ambition in this area will be cursed by Laksmi Devi. There will be all kinds of financial problems too. Simha NAvamsa is excellent for knowledge and spirituality and Atmakarak there will surely confirm it (in simha rashi). However, for marriage, early widowhood is a threat. Kanya Navamsa is horrible, since even LORD BRAHMA cannot create a partner a person desires. If Shani is there or in trines, a person may remain childless /unmarried. In any case Strong Shani is undesirable or Atmakarak in kanya navamsa (Shani in particular) will have a negative say on person’s progeny. Kumba Navamsa is bad for relationship too. A person will terribly lack emotions and will be too punishing. Chandra in Navamsa lagna or in Kumba will specifically mark the same, and wrong thinking will be there. There own mother will suffer or a person will marry a spouse without a mother or with suffering mother. Mesha Navamsa is very good for both marriage and knowledge. A person is full of knowledge and light particularly if Surya and Guru are strong and well placed (for spirituality) or Chandra and Shukra for marriage. Makara Lagna is very bad, all kinds of enjoyments in marriage and relationships will lack. A person lacks faith terrible or loose it easily, particularly if Guru is placed in such Navamsa Lagna. In this way, one can see all lagnas in divisional charts and see the general tendency even before getting deeper into analyses of planetary positions. Try to think in the same lines and guess why Kumbha lagna or Chandra in Kumbha for female charts is horrible for chidren in D-7? In male chart Meena Lagna or Dhanu Lagna can live the person childless under the circumstances and are the causes the same? Kanya Lagna can leave the person complete childless or their children will remain childless if other planetary combinations give children to a person…
  9. Today there are many written materials on vimsottari dasha and its use. It is a well known fact that dasha may be initiated from various points, such as utpana, lagna etc. It is also a well known fact that there are other udu dasha variations and conditions, known as conditional dashas. However, my aim is not to deal with it, since my Guru has written a book on Udu and Vimsottari dasha which I very recommend. So, I will not focus on conditions as how to use the dasas, how to choose the appropriate dashas etc. My point is to help you out and guide you a step by step in using and understanding properly how to judge Maha, Antar, Pratyantar, Sookshma, Prana and Deha levels of the dashas, as well as how to rectify the birthchart through dasha to the most minute level of DEHA! For that reason, this article will be given in sequence where each step will be explained. Before I start there are a few issues to clear: 1. You cannot use Rashi Chart only. To be able to rectify the chart to the most subtle level, you must use Shodasavarga System, which is the “expansion” of Rashi chart, or our universe. Shodasavarga system falls into a “Nadi” group where these charts indicate our self to the most subtle level of pulse. Other charts like Shastamsa and Rudramsa, do not belong to this “expansion” of self, and are used for other purpose. Those who use only Rashi chart, and try to explain everything, such as the life of the parents, siblings etc in detail, only reveal their ignorance and misunderstanding of Parashara and other sages who clearly gave instructions what to see from which chart. For example my Jyotish guru has the same planetary positions apart from Chandra pada position as Whitney Huston in his Rashi Chart:). Some astrologers try to use Charakarakas in Rashi chart only to explain the events of a person, their family, children etc. This is again apsurd, and reveals their ignorance of Jaimini sutras and inability to understand various subtle differences of placements of charakarakas in rashi and divisional charts. For example, atmakaraka has completelly different role in Rashi chart and Navamsa Chart. Matru and Pitrukaraka have completelly different uses in Rashi and Dvadasamsa Charts. Therefore, before venturing into a detailed birth time rectification, such and other basics should be well understood. 2. Kindly note a prashna chart. There are standard rules to use in a prashna chart, and check whether the birth lagna is correct, whether the placement of Chandra is correct (in case a day is uncertain), and whether Navamsa Lagna is correct. All these can be seen from the correct prashna chart. Now let us start: 1. Mahadasha should be always be seen from the Sun. Take the Sun and see the plaement of Mahadasha lord from it. Study the placement to understand it properly. Basic knowledge of Surya Lagna and planetary positions therof should be known. 2. The next step is to find the karya bhava or the bhava which indicated the event. IF the event involves mother, fourth house from the sun should have something to do with the mahadasha. Treat the karya bhava as a starting point to examine mahadasha. The more precise step should be seen in Dvadashamsa chart, which is in this case more important than a Rashi chart. Only after the Mahadasha Lord confirms the event you can be sure that the time is correct. There is also a procedure to check the Mahadasha Lord from karaka lagna however, this is not necessary in the first step. 3. Next step is to see the span of possible time of birth by examining the antardasha lord. Antardasha lord should be examined from Moon and Arudha Lagna. You should again examine the karya bhava from these two points and see how antardasha and which antardasha will confirm the event from these two points. 4. Now, once you have chosen the correct antardasha, the pratyantar dasha should be seen from Lagna. Again take the same procedure and see how pratyandar dasha affects the karya bhava from lagna. Once you do it, the time frame has been fixed to a quite precise time birth, and the subtle rectification is required. Please note: Maha, Antara and Pratyantara Lords indicate what we receive from the world, and how the world around us changes. It is for that reason that these three time factors are not changing very quickly in comparison to sukshma, prana and deha levels. Many astrologers will further correct birthtime on the basis of kunda and pranapada which is correct. However, I want to focus further on rectification based on the event timing, and finding correct sukshma, prana and deha levels of a dasha. To understand this please follow the same pattern: 1. Sun, Moon and Lagna These three levels are related to very personal experiences of events. Therefore” My world” changes very quickly and normally these three levels change quite fast. The pattern related to Sun, Moon and Lagna slightly differs in these three levels . To be continued…
  10. swapnil, load udu dasha lessons of sh sanjay rath for further clarity. Regards J.s.sandhu
  11. Dear swapnil check this book PREDICTING THROUGH DWISAPTATI SAMA DASA, A conditional dasa of Maharishi Parasara - Manoj Pathak, How to calculate Dwisaptati Sama Dasha: Count the number of nakshatras from Moola to the birth nakshatra, divide by eight. The remainder indicates the dasha at birth. Dwisaptati sama dasha is a nakshatra dasha but the nakshatra lords under this scheme are different from the Vimshottari dasha scheme. Dasha periods are 9 years each. On page 20 is a table of nakshatras & their lords under this system. Ketu has no lordship. Order of dashas follows that of days of the week: 1. Sun (Sunday), 2. Moon (Monday), 3. Mars (Tuesday), 4. Mercury (Wednesday), etc., with Rahu (8 & 0) following after Saturn/Saturday (7). The numbers indicate the dasha lords as found in the division by 8 remainder.
  12. Ashtottari dasa is perhaps the most popular dasa system in India after Vimsottari dasa. Sage Parasara listed it as a conditional dasa applicable only in some charts. The conditions for its applicability are highly controversial. In this system, the sum of all dasas is 108 years. Ashtottari means “ashtottara sata”, i.e. one hundred and eight. Because poornaayush (full life) of a man is 108 years, some scholars have suggested that ashtottari dasa is best used as an ayur dasa, i.e. a dasa that shows longevity. There are three different views on the applicability of Ashtottari dasa: (1) Ashtottari dasa is applicable in all charts. (1) Ashtottari dasa is applicable if Rahu, who is not in lagna, is in a quadrant or a trine from lagna lord. (1) Ashtottari dasa is applicable for daytime births in Krishna paksha (darker fortnight) and night time births in Sukla paksha (brighter fortnight). Some people use Ashtottari dasa as an ayur dasa and see longevity in it. Some other people use Ashtottari dasa as a phalita dasa. Because only chara karakas, i.e. Rahu and the seven planets, have dasas under the Ashtottari dasa scheme, it may also be suggested that it shows events related to sustenance, achievements, raja yogas and moksha (just like chara karakas do). Some people, however, prefer to see all matters in Ashtottari dasa.
  13. Dear swapnil, In Vimsottari and Udu dasas, Shri Sanjay Rath, enumerates all the criterias for the conditional dasas. There is a order that he gives for example a. check ashtottari b. check shodasottari etc. When sun is in lagna, the conditional dasa to be used is Shasti Hayani dasa. Since for Vivekananda Sun is also The AK, this dasa is applicable even though there are some dasas applicable in his chart who get higher precedence. regards J.s.sandhu
  14. Swapnil, Don't mind what i have to say now, why don't you ask Rishi rahul about it. Regards j.s.sandhu
  15. RAHU & KETU 1. What are the results if the nodes are returning to their exalted or mooltrikona natal positions? Does it still make them as malefic? If the natal axis is not involved in close afflictions and is in the good houses, it may not hurt. 2. Which nodes do we use, Mean or True? We use True Nodes under System's Approach. 3. What will be the level of the affliction if a planet is caught up in the nodes as opposed to being afflicted by either Rahu or Ketu only? The affliction is just double. That means the results of the sub periods of the planet involved, Rahu and Ketu all will be causing suffering. In case only Rahu or Ketu are afflicting then the sub periods involved would be of the planet and Rahu or Ketu. 4. Are Rahu/Ketu always the same strength or can they be weak or strong? They always have strength to cause harm and they are more harmful when badly placed or in close conjunction with other functional malefic planets. 5. Are the aspects of Rahu from the malefic houses are more malefic than from other houses? Yes, as the malefic nature of the concerned house is added. 6. Are Rahu and Ketu weak when debilitated? When in their signs of debilitation, Rahu and Ketu are more harmful. 7. Do Rahu and Ketu become weak when combust? It is the Sun, who is harmed in the close conjunction. Rahu and Ketu do not suffer from combustion. 8. How does the dispositor of Rahu/Ketu affect them? If dispositor is strong, Rahu/Ketu are placed in benefic houses and do not cause any natal close afflictions, then sometimes Rahu/Ketu give short lived material success. 9. Are they affected by being in the dusthana (malefic) houses? Yes, they become more harmful. 10. Would the tendency of Rahu and Ketu to afflict reduce if they are weak due to debilitation, or age? Or do these also become more malefic when in weak position. Rahu and Ketu, who are treated as functional malefic planets in most of the cases under SA, become more malefic when they are in their signs of debilitation. 11. For a weak Rahu and Ketu, what are their natural significations that they would not be able to protect as they do not own a house? Nothing, except manipulations not giving any results. 12. What is the extent to which Rahu is colored by the house it is in, or the planet it is with, whether in a five degrees conjunction or a wider one? If Rahu is in a malefic house, the maleficness is added to its general impact but when it is in a good house, maleficness is less. 13. Does the malefic nature or Rahu and Ketu persist even in old age or infancy? YES. 14. Ketu is supposed to be the liberator or moksha karaka? That is one belief. But certainly it is karaka for miseries, as well, which ultimately turns the native to faith, spirituality and God. 15. Will a person with a weak Ketu would be stuck in this world of materialism? Would that not be materially good for the person, while bad in the sense of what the sages meant for the ultimate destiny of a soul? In Kaliyuga for liberation leaving materialism is not compulsory. Those leading a life of honesty and doing their duty to their family, society and humanity as a whole do get mental peace leading to the ultimate liberation. This is my belief based on my experience and my readings of ancient literature. 16. Can you explain the reasons why an individual never finds the work to lead to desired results for the house, which is occupied by Ketu in the natal chart and why it always remains a void? It is not correct. The results of Ketu depend upon the strength of its lord if it is in a moolatrikona sign and the level of affliction being caused by Ketu. For example, Ketu is in the third house of Prof , which rules younger brothers, (he has three), it rules courage (he has much more than the average person) communicative skills (for others to judge), writing capabilities (he has written twelve successful books) and hundreds of articles for various magazines. 17. Does transit Rahu over natal Ketu and transit Ketu over natal Rahu cancel each other out, or add an extra malefic nature, especially in twelfth and sixth house most effective points? This transit adds an extra malefic influence and it is a difficult time. 18. What kind of credence do you give to the idea of the nodes being about the past and future of the soul's growth? We consider that less the number of afflictions in the chart, the advance the person is on the soul's journey. This is true for the nodal afflictions in the chart, too. 19. Can you explain the aspects of Rahu to the ascendant lord for Aquarius (Saturn) and Libra (Venus) ascendants? This will depend on the house and strength of the dispositor of Rahu besides the operational planetary period and transit influence. Source your astrologer net
  16. "Case Studies : Early Widowhood" In this section, we are taking up the case studies on the death of husband in the early years of marriage. All these cases on death of the husband were brought up for astral analysis after the tragic happening had taken place. We are quite confident that the simple preventive astral remedies discussed earlier are even helpful in such cases and save one from the tragic happenings in life. The basis of this belief is that the definite indications of cancerous disease in various nativities were prevented with the help of the preventive astral remedies. The loss of husband is shown by the affliction(s) caused by the most or functional malefic planet(s) to one or more of the following weak and badly placed planets/houses:- The planets ruling the houses signifying marriage. Jupiter as significator for the husband. Venus as significator for marriage. The sign, Libra, which is the seventh house of the natural zodiac. Amongst the functional malefic planets under the Systems’ Approach as brought out and detailed here, and in the book "Systems' Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes", the lord of the sixth house, Ketu, the lord of the twelfth house and the lord of the eighth house show maleficence in the ascending order. That is why the title of “most malefic planet' (MMP) has been given to the lord of the eighth house containing a mooltrikona sign. This title passes on to others if no mooltrikona sign is placed in the eighth house. The death takes place in the sub-periods of weak, badly placed and/or afflicted planets becoming significators of marital affairs in a nativity. In this background, we will take up the case studies for better understanding of the subject. Female born 1st June 1962, 2000Hrs. 28N40 77E28 India. The prime determinant, the Moon, is placed in the twelfth house in the state of debilitation and hence weak. The significator for marriage, Venus, is placed in the eighth house and is weak in this nativity. Rahu-Ketu axis closely afflicts the MEPs of the second, fourth, eighth and twelfth houses pertaining to marital affairs. Ketu is closely conjunct with Saturn, the dispositor of the significator for husband-Jupiter-in the second house and weakens both Saturn and Jupiter. The weakness of the prime determinant and the affliction to the MEP of the houses pertaining to marital affairs indicated curtailment in the longevity of married life. The native lost her husband at the age of 34 years in the sub-period of Rahu, conjunct with the MEP of the eighth house and in the main period of Mercury. Female born on 17th November, 1960, 0930 Hrs. 28N39 77E13 India. The significator for marriage, Venus, is weak due to its being in the state of infancy. The MMP closely afflicts the MEP of the sign Libra in this nativity. The husband died in the sub-period of the MMP, the Moon, at the age of 30 years. Female born 30th Nov. 1959, 0225 Hrs. 28N39 77E13 India The lord of the second house, ruling family, is in the state of debilitation. The lord of the sixth house is closely conjunct with the MEP of the fourth house and afflicts the same. The lord of the fourth house, which is Karaka for the husband, too, is placed in the third house and is within five-degree longitudinal range of the lord of the twelfth house. These are indicative of domestic peace suffering on account of inharmonious relationship and health problems to the spouse. The weakness of the planets representing married life indicates the short duration. The husband died in an accident in the main period of Ketu and the sub-period of Saturn at the age of 37 years. Female born 28th April, 1960, 0600 Hrs. 28N39 77E13 India Venus is weak due to its being in the state of old age. The weak Venus represents the seventh house and being the prime determinant for marriage, is badly placed in the twelfth house. The husband died in the sub-period of Venus in the main of Rahu at the age of 29 years. Female born 22nd Sep. 1959, 0320 Hrs. 28N39 77E13 India. The lord of the seventh house suffers affliction from the functional malefics, Jupiter and Rahu. The impact of affliction of Jupiter is 60% while the impact of affliction of Rahu is only 20%. The significator of marriage, Venus, is badly placed. The most malefic planet, the Sun, in this nativity closely afflicts the lord of the ninth house. Ketu closely afflicts the most effective point of the seventh house. The lord of the second house, Saturn, ruling family life is badly placed in the house of losses. The lord of the fourth house is well-placed but since its dispositor is suffering from the afflictions from MMP, it also gets hurt. The afflictions in a chart prevail over the well-placed lord of the seventh house or the prime determinant of the married life, as the operating planets bestow results of their impacts in the chart. Jupiter, the significator for husband, is well-placed but the afflictions in the chart are more forceful. In this case, the husband died in the sub-period of the Ketu in the main period of Rahu. Female born 5th February, 1964, 2350 Hrs. 28N39 77E13 India. The lord of the seventh house, Mars, is in the state of combustion and hence weak. The significator for marriage, Venus, is badly placed and is in the state of infancy. The badly placed Jupiter is in the debilitated navamsa, and hence weak. The MMP ruling the twelfth house, signifying the longevity of the married life, in this case, is weak due to its being in the state of old age. The weakness of the significator planets denies long-lived married life. During the sub-period of the weak Mercury in its own main period, the native lost her husband. Female born 1st November, 1951, 1235 Hrs. 16N13 80E36 India The debilitated lord of the seventh house is well-placed and unafflicted. The lord of the fourth house is badly placed. The lord of the second house is well-placed and unafflicted. The lord of the twelfth house, Jupiter, is well-placed and well aspected. Venus is badly placed in the eighth house in the state of old age. The lord of the eighth house (MMP) closely aspects the MEP of the fourth house. The functional malefic, Jupiter, closely afflicts the MEP of the seventh house. Rahu-Ketu closely afflict the various houses representing the marital affairs. Rahu closely aspects and afflicts the Sun. The weakness and afflictions show curtailed longevity of married life. The native lost her husband in the sub-period of Rahu in the main period of Venus. At the time of death of the husband, the transit Jupiter was afflicting the fourth lord, Mars, placed in the eighth house. Female born 01st Nov. 1959, 0900 Hrs. 29N42 77E02 India. The prime determinant for marriage, Jupiter, is well-placed and well associated. The lord of the fourth house is well-placed and unafflicted. Rahu closely afflicts the MEP of the seventh house. The weak Venus, being the most malefic planet, closely afflicts the most effective point of the fourth house. Venus is also weak due to the weakness of its dispositor, the Sun, which is debilitated, placed in the twelfth house and is in total conjunction with the functional malefic, Mars. The weaknesses and afflictions showed curtailed longevity of married life. The native lost her husband during the sub-period of Mars in the main period of Saturn. Between the main period lord and the sub-period lord, the sub-period lord plays the major role.
  17. Peviously we talked about Nakshatramsa which is the General Strengths and Weaknesses of a person. This resulted in an individual exhibiting certan general behaviour. But what about Drekkana? Does it not reflect the action of a person and therfore behaviour? To clarify : In psychology we talk about behaviour as exhibiting two components. One componet is attitude and the other is our psychological response ie. action. Drekanna refers to action and Nakshatramsa refers to attitude. What is the difference? An attitude (Nakshatramsa) results in behaviour that is unvarying sometimes degenerating into habits. It also shows our evaluation of situations around us eg. what is your opinion of beggars? When you pass by a beggar would you always drop a coin in his bowl, frequently, sometimes or never? It is long-term behaviour. Your psychological response to something is different (Drekkana). It is situation specific. You may respond to something quite differently when you are in the presence of your mate or in a group of friends than when you are alone. This response may result in action or inaction on your part. Subject to therapy, this part of your character is easier to change. One way is to stimulate you with a stimuli when you perform the right action under a trained observer during a training period. Otherwise you will be given a token punishment. This results in a conditioned reflex action ingrained into you. Drekkana also shows the active side of you to change something that is not right in the environment. In a way, this can also be considered as a psychological resonse to an environmental stimulus. In olden times employers always judge an employee on their overall evaluative strengths and weaknesses (Nakshatramsa). But not anymore. Now these days management circles use management tools like situation intervention and management laboratories to name a few, to guage potential job candidates response to specific situations. This is especially crucial if the job involves a high managerial component. If the psychological response expected for the job does not dovetail what you exhibit during the training obsevation, then your employer may either decide to take you out from further consideration or to change your psychological response to the correct one. IN THE LONG TERM, THEY HOPE WTH CONTINUOUS LEARNING, THIS CHANGED BEHAVIOUR BECOMES INGRAINED TO YOUR ATTITUDE. So there is an interaction between the Nakshatramsa and the Drekkana analysis. ------ (1) So to summarize : (2) Behaviour = Attitude + Psychological Response to Specific Situtations (Specific Action) (3) Actions in turn can be classified into different types which can studied in other divisional charts besides Drekkana and Nakshatramsa. (4) Specific Actions (DREKKANA) can be changed into Attitude (NAKSHATRAMSA) through conditioned reflex action training. (5) RASI denotes physical activities. So it is general action related to the physical body. (6) DREKKANA analysis gives psychological response to specific situation. (6) NAVAMSA is specific inherent activities you are good at and therefore gives you fortune. (7) NAKSHATRAMSA shows your attitude in general towards things. (8) DASAMSA is specific career-building activities. (9) SHODAMSA denotes activities you enjoy doing and therefore good at. (Practice makes perfect!) (10) SAPTAMSA denotes activities tied to your creative self. Thanks. Hock Leong

  19. In addition to Ashok's reply to you that aspects in divisional charts point to certain events as evidenced by transits in the divisional charts, I also want to argue from a metaphysical point of view. Later on, I will quote from you from a blog which indicates that aspects in divisional charts is important. METAPHYSICS ----------------- If you agree that (1) the Rasis in the divisional charts and Rasis in the Rasi Chart are one and the same and transits in Rasi Chart and transits in divisional charts touch off the same point (2) that planets whether in the Rasi chart or in the divisional chart are planets of the same properties ie. active and with aspects (the point about them being active bodies is that aspects are more important to Grahas than say shadowy planets like Rahu), then aspects should be considered in divisional charts whether they are pointers to indicators of future events or give direct results. This is just a manner of description only. It could be that Ashok is right in that divisional charts can be considered as another world where the planets are placed - a world with a higher dimensionality if you like. QUOTE FROM A BLOG ------------------------- This is a blog I got fom Navarsimha Rao.
  20. Hi, In my previous post, I analysed my own chart mainly in D-10 only to show how exact career details were indicated in the D-10 chart. In rasi chart, which is always the foundational chart, the 10th house has a single strong feature viz: 10th lord Saturn in 11th house very strongly placed. He occupies his own varga 7 times with a strength of 9.97 rupas, 199 % strength (almost twice the minimum strength required for Saturn). This confirms a good career and a good income but the exact career details are clearly revealed in the D-10. Coming to your rasi chart: 1) Lord of 6th & 9th Jupiter is in the 10th. The moolatrikona lordship predominates so Jupiter is overall, only slightly benefic. 2) Ketu is in 10th. Ketu indicates denial of worldly success to facilitate spiritual progress. Conclusion: Ketu's combination with Jupiter aspected by vargottama Saturn accentuates the spiritual qualities of the 10th house. Denial of worldly success may facilitate spiritual growth. 3) The lagna lord Moon goes to the 4th house and aspects the 10th but is conjunct Rahu. 4) Saturn as lord of 7th and 8th in lagna aspects the 10th house. Conclusion: Note how both lagna and 9th lords associate with the 10th house in a good Gajakesari Yoga but the presence of nodes Rahu and Ketu and the aspect of 8th lord Saturn nullifies the good yoga to a very large extent. Again, denial of worldly success may facilitate some spiritual growth. 5) 5th and 10th lord Mars goes to the 12th house indicating setbacks in fortune and career. Again the moksha sthana 12th house benefits from it showing the possibility of worldly loss leading to possibilities of spiritual progress. 6) Lagna is occupied by 7th and 8th lord Saturn who is vargottama. Lagna lord Moon although in favourable 4th aspected by Jupiter is eclipsed by Rahu. Struggle and setbacks are again indicated. Conclusion: All the above factors indicate struggle and setbacks that may facilitate the possibility of spiritual progress. The Dasamsa chart shows planets that are connected with the career in some way. Planets connected with D-10 lagna and 10th house are: Mercury exalted in 10th house, Jupiter owning Lagna and aspecting 10th, Saturn aspecting 10th and Sun occupying Lagna. All these planets may give some result related to 10th house. Use your own life data to co-relate with the above indicators to get a composite picture. Hope this helps, Ashok
  21. D-10 is said to relate primarily to career & since the 10th house represents career, it seems to me that 10th house & planets/yogas relating to 10th house in Dasamsa chart may be accurate & relevant indicators of a person's career. As an example, I look at a particular D-10 chart where the lagna is Capricorn: Venus & Mercury are in Pisces, ie: the 9th & 10th lords combine in the 3rd house. Note 10th lord Venus exalted in watery Pisces; the combination forms a dharma-karmadhipathi yoga/Raja Yoga & is strengthened by Jupiter's aspect from Scorpio. Further, Rahu occupies the 10th house Libra. The native had absolutely no educational & family background, inclination or even a vague idea of pursuing a technical career in marine radiocommunication. A series of circumstances made it happen. The D-10 chart seems to hold the key as explained below. The native is well employed (exalted 10th lord joining 9th lord aspected by sign lord Jupiter in D 10) as a professional working in the field of communications (3rd house) in the midst of the ocean (watery Pisces). The specific means of communication is electronic equipment/ radio (rahu). The native got his major career breakthrough in rahu bhukti of moon dasa. In D-10 chart, moon in 4th is in mutual aspect with Rahu posited in the 10th house. In D-10 chart, the lagna (Capricorn) lord is Saturn (representing oil) and as lagna lord posited in the 4th house, he aspects both lagna & 10th houses. Extremely powerful Saturn in natal chart (D1) in Aquarius perhaps makes the oil industry the field/arena whereby the native's career & worldly position gets well established. Thus, the native's career as a professional in the field of marine radio communication happens to be in the oil industry (and not in the merchant navy). Since the native is running Rahu dasa with Rahu occupying 10th house in D-10, Rahu will probably facilitate significant career progress for the native. Feedback on the above analysis is welcome. Regards,
  22. There are different views on how divisional charts should be analysed (together with the Rasi chart). One view which I d to is as follows : (1) Analyse the Rasi chart. (2) See how the Rasi is linked for a particular Bhava with the corresponding divisional chart for the corresponding area that comes under the divisional chart's purview. Pay particular attention to the Karya Houses for the particular divisional chart under consideration. The Lagna for a divisional chart is also always important. Step (2) is doing a microscopic analysis of a particular House in the Rasi. Other than the Karya Houses and Lagna of a divisonal chart, usually the emphasis of analysis in a divisional chart is on the planets position in Rasi, planets position in Houses and planetary aspects. Consideration of house rulerships is minimal other than Karya Hosues and Lagna. (3) For (2) the influence is one-way except for the Navamsa which can affect the quality of the planets in the Rasi as detailed by Mr Vaughn Paul in his various posts. However, the functional beneficience and maleficience of a planet like the trinal lords is primarily anchored in the Rasi. (4) Analyse each divisional chart in turn independently of the Rasi. This area of investigation is to find out how events unfold for that area of life of the native after the initial tied up with the Rasi. Functional beneficience and maleficience of a planet in a particular divisional chart can likewise be analysed independently in this step. step (4) is doing an unfolding analysis - and in my experience for my chart, it is potent. Karya Houses and the Lagna take precedence but other Houses (secondary importance) in the chart can also be factored in for analysis - more weightage given than in step (2). For step (4) bear in mind the peculiarities of each chart when analysing House Rulerships like it may not applicable for Div-2 (Hora) chart and some adjustments for the Div-30 (Trimsamsa) chart (only 300 degrees - Sun and Moon do not own Houses).
  23. The 11th divisional chart, Rudramsa has been delineated as the chart showing unearned Gains. One would surely gain (at least once) in the affairs of the house the planet is in during its Dasa or Bukhti or other sub-periods. If the 12th House of Rudramsa is strongly fortified with Neecha Bhaga Yoga (both the debilitated planet Jupiter and Saturn are placed in Capricord), does the 12th House signify gains or expenditures that are controlled? I read in texts in astrology and they always mentioned that when the 12th House is strongly fortified, at most it only signifiies expenditures that are controlled but nothing was mentioned of gains (other than moksha gains of course). Is the Rudramsa chart an exception to this principle? It must be noted that Saturn here rules the Ascendant and Jupiter rules the Dhana Houses of 11th and 2nd. Looking forward to your reply, fellow Jyotishians.
  24. Earlier posts I have mentioned that each D-chart there are some Karya Houses - houses which an astrolger would refer to to determine the goodness of the affairs ruled by that particular D-chart. In the case of D-10 that would be the 1st, 6th and the 10th. All the three houses mentioned denotes employment. The 1st is the overall employment propspects, the 6th denotes the job offer itself and the 10th the overall career trajectory of the individual. (Mercury is the significator for the 6th and the 10th and Mercury denotes professions and career in the 10th and work for the 6th). How about the non-Karya houses? These would generally apply to all D-charts and a summary follows of their effects for the D10. (A) 2nd, 11th and 7th House. These houses which are the 2nd to the 1st, 6th and 10th mentioned above, impede the proper and smooth functionining of the latter houses. Why? The 7th is the house of self-employment. If a person would rather do business, then he would not consider accpeting a job offer as indicated by the 6th house. The 2nd house is the house of income generally. If a native's outlook in life is towards getting a job with a high pay, he would be very discriminating in his strategy of what kind of jobs to look for. In that sense it reduces his general condition of employment prospects. The 11th house is the house of gains of your main profession. If you are always considering this issue, you may not take the proper steps or go all out in doing your job well. Your upper consideration is always - would this action of mine actually caused me to be put in a bad light which would then erode any gains that may be forthcoming. Or would my action 'rock the boat' and upset my current status quo of every month getting a fat income of my well paying job? (B) The 12th, 3rd and 8th houses are the 3rd house to the 10th, 1st and 6th houses. The 3rd house to a house generally shows difficulties and impediments to the latter house. The 12th shows long retirement, the 3rd shows short retirement and the 8th shows permanent retirement. Special mention must be made of the 3rd house (as the other are Dusthana houses and their effects are generally well-known). The 3rd house in any divisional chart generally shows death-like effects. Planet lordship of this house or planets placed in it generally shows no progress. This is unlike the 3rd house in the Rasi where it is accrued in giving the individual progress through his own efforts not least of which it is also one of the Upachaya houses. © The 4th house is generally credited as the seat of the throne of the chart. In the Rasi, if one wants to determine whether one can be King, both the 9th and the 4th houses are taken into consideration - with the 9th house being assessed for luck. Similarly in the other divisional charts, the 4th house represents your stability in the matters ruled by that divisional chart. Do you have the potential to hold on to your throne? A weak 4th house in D10 is one factor that shows a person who is unable to rise up in his career. (The Moon is the significator of the 4th house and Moon signifies fame in the 10th - a King must have a good reputation to maintain his throne). (D) The 5th and 9th houses are trine houses and they generally give supporting boost to the career. In addition in the D10, the 9th house shows that the person would like to have a large measure of independence in his career. The 5th house is the 8th of the 10th (an important Karya house). The 5th would thus show a change of career or the start of a phase of the career for the native - generally for the better because the 5th is a trine house. Good planets in the 5th house can help the native rise to a high position in the career - more so than even the 4th house. Whereas 4th denotes long term rise, the 5th can indicate a spectacular rise. (Jupiter is the significator of the 5th and 9th and Jupiter signifies not only fame for the 10th together with the Moon but also prosperity and growth for the 10th). (Sun is the natural ruler of the 5th and Sun signifies status, power and social rights for 10th house matters). Regards Hock Leong
  25. Writing is a creative activity. And Jupiter, the Moon, Mercury and Venus deal with writing. Let's analyse my Saptamsa with regards to these four planets and secondarily other planets as well if applicable. I hereby reproduce my birth data again from another thread as well as list down my planetary placements for those without a software to construct the chart. I was born in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Singapore</st1:place></st1:country-region> [1 degree 17 minutes North; 103 degrees 51 minutes East] at 8:32 am on 22nd June 1962. The timezone at that time for <st1:country-region w:st="on">Singapore</st1:country-region> is 7 hours 30 minutes East of Graeenwich rather than the current 8 hours which we adjusted in 1983 to synchronize the timing with Hong Kong, <st1:city w:st="on">Perth</st1:city>, <st1:city w:st="on">Shanghai</st1:city> and <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Kuala Lumpur</st1:place></st1:city>. My placements in Saptamsa are as follows (with a Capricorn Lagna) : Body Longitude (in D-7) Lagna 29 Cp 12' 30.92" Sun - MK 17 Cn 44' 39.79" Moon - PiK 15 Cp 04' 17.33" Mars - BK 20 Vi 56' 44.80" Mercury - GK 11 Pi 34' 36.36" Jupiter - PK 14 Ge 19' 19.94" Venus - AmK 26 Pi 30' 30.86" Saturn ® - DK 1 Sc 10' 32.89" Rahu - AK 3 Ta 00' 49.87" Ketu 3 Sc 00' 49.87" The first thing I want to highlight is that the Moon - a planet dealing with ideas and the mind - is in the 1st house gaining full sight of the opposite 7th house that it rules. The Moon deals with the imagination although its ideas are not strictly original although the originality comes from mixing and matching the impressions it gets. That is why writers of imaginative fiction normally has a strong Moon. Moon being in the Ascendant means my mind is attuned and creative to writing activities. It rules the 7th House where the Sun is which is ruler of the 8th (the occult). I love to write on occult matters. The Moon is disposited by Saturn in Scorpio in the 11th together with Ketu. Saturn a trinal lord is well disposited by Ketu (a planet dealing with the occult) in the 11th house in Scorpio. 11th house takes care of planets within it, so Saturn and Ketu flourishes. Saturn also rules the 2nd which deals with reading. I constantly read on occult matters (Saturn conjunct Ketu in Scorpio) Rahu in the 5th in Taurus is well placed. It rules Taurus and Virgo so it is a trinal lord. Making a trinal aspect to the Moon means that everytime I have an idea (the Moon), I would have to get it off my chest through writing (Rahu rules obsession) - although in the context of other posts, the Moon also needs to get off its chest on things by doing something creative and not just writing. Venus is in its deep exaltation in Pisces with Mercury also quite close to its deep fall in the third house dealing with information. Mercury gets Neecha Bhaga Yoga and gets mutual reception with Jupiter in Gemini in the 6th. All three planetary placements testify to their strength. Venus is good for writing in lovely prose (something pleasing for readers to read), Mercury writes about ideas and Jupiter lends its writing output with some quality. (In fact in the pantheon of planets dealing with writing, Jupiter ranks first, Moon ranks second, Mercury ranks third and Venus ranks fourth). Jupiter being in the 6th is 4th to the third meaning the seat of the throne for the 3rd dealing in writing. It thus enhances the 3rd, not just becasue it is Jupiter but also it is the 4th to the 3rd. Mars disposits 11th where Saturn and Ketu is as well as the fourth and is placed in the 9th. That is a good placement. Firstly the 4th to Lagna deals with basic education. 11th to the Lagna deals with gains. My basic education enables me to get a good foundation of the English Language and as the years go by (11th deals with effects as one ages) my command of the language improves. It enables me to write with a style that is more than just a marshalling of facts (the 3rd) but enables the audience to gain a deeper insight of things (the 9th). Mar is disposited by Mercury in the 3rd and hence Mars is also linked to the three planets of writing described earlier : Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. 9th house dealing with philosophy shows that my sentence structure has some philosophical style imprinted on it and not just using conventional simple sentence structures.
