  1. Ok show us vedic reference then will comment on it.It should be in sanskrit and not in english mind you, better paste direct link rather than copy paste business.

then prove it by showing the references.

    making unsubstantiated claims proves nothing.

  2. Sadly this comparison should be stopped but it goes on and on.First and last very few chaps here know the difference between Shri Rudra/Shri Mahesh/Shri Shankar and almighty God Shiva.

Sonic, there is a conundrum in your proposition? The shaivite literatures will say the same thing regarding Krsna and Govardhana etc...
  3. There are better ways to talk and this one must keep in mind while addressing to others-period.

I never involve myself in judging who is supreme saga.Like Shankaracharya said Bhaj Govindam so better I do worship God and thats all,I leave this judging thing to others who keep wasting their time discussing it again and again, not my cup of tea Ranjeet.

Why should I advocate you to remove from this forum?Yes decipline must be maintained because we talk spiritual stuff here and no street talks should be entertained for the sake of the health of this forum.

    Hindustani.

whatever your faith is,the Supreme truth is unchangeable. It's quite safe to say that your disbelieving is not going to change the Supreme status of Sri radhika.

Now,if some rascal states that Sri Radhika is not mentioned ANYWHERE before the 15th century and also declares that Brahm sanghita is a false text,he has to be corrected. You can have me removed from this forum, but if you cannot stand up for your own mother,do not stop others from doing so.

  4. Goal is to reach the God,to understand God,to offer your services to God by many ways and one of them is doing seva of all jiva.If I cannot do seva I better stop myself for not doing anything bad to others-this is maha seva.

Sadhna is a short cut coz there is a specific achivement eyed in,where in Bhakti there is no goal except reaching the God.

    Few examples of Pure Bhakti.

    Shri Mirabai

    Shri Sudama

    Shri Hanumanji

    Shri Shabari

now quote a single example if any of above studied vedas to reach the God.Atleast I am not aware of it,they only focused their aim to reach their goal and they finally achieved it in their life.

I have sometimes watched him on TV and I like his ways of preaching(Baba Shivananda).

    what is the goal

    how is sadhana a shortkut

i dont know much about sadhana

one more thing do you follow avdhoot baba shivananad

  5. Coz

the answer you are trying to find is not an easy one,Buddha did lot of tapa and finally got an answer under the bodhi tree, same go for our rishis. All of them must have studied shashtras and vedas.

Hope picture is clearer in your mind now.

There is a huge difference between Sadhna and Bhakti and I think I need not to write on it,I presume you know the difference.Bhakti is a sure way to reach to a goal, sadhna is a short cut but many obsticles will come in your path.

PS-Do one thing, when you get time read few pages of any shashtras or even Veda. Then close your eyes, try to digest what you read out of it.

    Then-

Chant any mantra or Shri Hanuman Chalisa or Shri Lalita Sahastranama or Shri Vishnu sahastranama or........anything of your choice like Shri Durga stuti or...list is long.

    Then again close your eyes.

Try to find difference in both experence,in longer run you will get the answer which you are looking for.It is a long process.

    no tell me

you tell me to concentrate on bhakti so be specific

why shouldnt i refer to shastras what is the problem

the shastras guide us to god.

the veda are the word of god arent they

  6. Its not a matter of accepting or rejecting, matter is to see with the eyes and filter message going n comming out of brain,if I can do this things look much much easier.IN short-use inner voice to judge.

ya do you accept my other point i made
  7. Ok noted.I reply differently.

Take 3 rasas and compare them with 3 gunas.

    Sweet taste

    Bitter taste

    and

    Chilly taste.

    Guna

    Sattva

    Rajas

    and

    Tamas.

Now for our tangues all 3 tastes are must,no food we can eat constantly with any single taste mentioned above,no way!

Hence all 3 gunas are must in universe,so let's not separate them, all are must in this case.Problem is because of Maya we see all gunas differently and try to analyse them.

If my knowledge is right then in padma purana it has been mentioned that in Kaliyug Maya will stop us worshiping God !

So dont go much deep in who is bigger-better-stronger,we are children of God so better we should stop discussing this and try to concentrate in pure bhakti in this kaliyug, more you read or refer shashtras you will find yourself in soup and this happens with most of people and they are so confused(even in this forum)and try to change their path of devotion............and that is Maya.

DEAR HINDUSTANI HEARS YOUR ANSWER-According to the Padma Purana,[24] the texts may be classified in accordance with the three gunas or qualities; truth, passion, and ignorance:

  8. yes you are right Sant.

    Am I Right?

Then what is the need to know who is God?I personally never try to find this answer either threw discussion or taking any clue for holy books.my and your soul are connected wtih God in any case before our birth and after our death and for me that is inuf.

Only thing one needs to find is Maya,if we can know maya rest all will come automatically,a real hard process and very few can pass this acid test.

  9. Answer is very easy if you can manage to do this.We all someday go to Samshan or smashan- a cremation place for Hindus right? What you see there?Body lying on woods and burning then turing into ashes right? Now can any of you collect those ashes and say that this ash is of male or female or of an industrialist or a beggar? If any of you can reply this question,he can surely tell us about the God.God who creates us with different faces/language/culture etc..but in the end no one will able to solve the puzzle of creation.

  10. Absolute FALSE statements.

Science has proved that while blowing word Oum into a machine which produces waves, similar pattern of Shri Sriyantra imerge out of it!Now tell me IF Oum is a patent word for any sampradaya.

Let me talk about the famous Ambaji shrine in <?xml:namespace prefix = o />

In an earlier chapter, I have already given a detailed explanation on Sri Yantra. It is the yantra of Goddess Laxmi. So a worship of Sri Yantra can only be done in a Vaishnavite shrine and not in a Saivite one. The claim that the yantra belongs to some Saivite Goddess Sri Vidya who then gave it to Laxmi because the Saivite Goddess was propitiated by Laxmi - at least from historical perspective, does not stick through. Incidentally, the Goddess is also called as Ambika Bhadra, and Bhadra Purnima is celebrated in a major way at the temple.

Bhadra is one of the names of Laxmi in Markandeya Purana, considered to be the bible of Mother Goddess worship. It is likely to have been the name of the deity of a sect that integrated itself into Mahalaxmi in Treta Yuga. I was wondering as to where this sect had vanished, as we hardly find any temples of Bhadra. Chances are that this was a Goddess Bhadra shrine, and they worshiped Goddess Bhadra in the form a Sri Yantra. It is also possible that Sri Yantra originally belonged to this sect of Bhadra worshipers, and after they integrated into Laxmi, their yantra came to be known as Sri Yantra. It was a Vaishnavite shrine for more than seven to eight thousand years before it was converted recently.

  11. This fight is old, very old and looks like with no end:smash: ,I totally agree on what you said and same most of time I try to convey, why waste our precious time on finding who came and who went?Better focus ourselves in Bhakti coz we dont know when we shall leave this mrityuloka.Nice writeup Durgaputra.

Instead of fighting over who came first or who is orginal or who is the best- do some more japa or whatever your practice is. Who has ever realised the supreme being- what/whoever you call Him/Her/It to be through argument and intellectual discussion ?

Who came first matters only if these are mere intellectual concepts- not if it is reality.

One can be a true Vaishnava/Shaiva/Shakta or any such thing only by practice and realisation- not by argument and rancour.
