first of all IskCon is GaudyaMath (i do not think that Iskcon is out of the path of Sri Chaitanya Mahprabhu) then... .....seeing the citations given by anadi, (from IskCon books), it is clear that "do not associate(at all)" is an instruction given in a particular period for specific purpose.. these words are pronounced by our prabhupada not by others my advice...: consider all the instructions of the spiritual master, not only the one you like.... be careful with the criticizing of vaishnavas.... do not act as a kanista making gross distictions (iskcon good, gaudya math bad) if you have to criticize... make it on personal basis, if you say "all the italians are rascals".. you take the karma also if you are right for 50 millions people and wrong for only one as a vaishnava.. stay more as possible on the "appreciative" mood

the main avatar of this era is the MAHAMANTRA (=hare krishna, hare krishna, krishna krishna, hare hare, hare rama, hare rama, rama rama, hare hare) he is present in this world, he's not an expansion of krsna like the other avataras, he's krsna himself it is very easy to evoke him... there's no need to ask to lord brahma to reach sri vishnu in the causal ocean and pray for his coming on the earth.... chanting is enough there's a lot of injustice... let'us call krsna.. hare krsna!!

there's also rules and limits.... read nectar of devotion (bhakti rasamrita sindhu), see the bodily features of krsna and tell me if it is compulsory to depict him as a modern indian... or, like we have krsna murtis with big differences between them, surely there's a freedom to represent krsna (or in wich form krsna appears in the mind of a devoted artist).. limited freedom, but not limited by race and nation

If the pastimes of Krishna took place in India why do people in Krishna art not look at all like the people of India. They look closer to European which makes no sense - because it is right that one serves krsna within his own culture and art (prabhupada said, about radharani of radha-parisisvara (the lord of PARIS!!), that she, as a french girl, is very beautiful..... so krsna and radha are also westerners!!!!!!)

mainly in three places Vrindavana, Mathura, Dwaraka (and their surroundings) these places are in india, it is possible and advisable to go there on pilgrimage.. for most of us a journey in these places is the most amazing and deepest experience in our lives

krsna is the all attractive.. if we are attracted by anything else, it is sure that we are not very conscious and absorbed but.. no problem.. this is the world of difficulties consider your fall as an advancement, now you are no more illuded that krishna is cheap and easy to reach do not listen to maya who is typically saying that you are not fit to practice, that you have done a too big sin, that you have to stay away from krsna for not annoying him and so on you are a part of krsna, you cannot be not forgiven because no one can negate or take away your existence that is, in itself , the demonstration that you (atma) belong to god (paramatma) so chant hare krishna, be sure that this medicine can cure every sickness.. and associate as much as you can with the devotees of the lord.. and be happy

god is omnipotent and has not duality in himself.. so his name, image, activities, entourage are not different from HIM.... a deity, sculpted with the the image and shape of sri krsna.... is krishna, nothing more or less, exactly like the name.. who is krishna even if he seems to us an ordinary sound vibration so worshipping the deity.. archa vigraha.. it is exactly worshipping god himself ... it is not that women are temptress, or that they are like it more or less than men.. the thing is applied to both sexes i have to relationate with women (except my wife) as they were my mothers and not potential girlfriend or prostitutes.. in the same way the women has to look at men... fathers
