  1. Before we say krishna is the reason for everything I would like to ask you if you have tried getting a girlfriend? or have you tried getting better company?

If you have not, then try to get good friends. In Bhagavath Gita krishna persuades us to do the action and leave the result on to him.

If you assume that there is no girl for you... then there will be no girl for you / or better company. If you have tried and it still does not work, then try again.

Then , after many tries, it still does not work, then say "Krishna hates me" . But if it still does not work it does not mean that he hates you, but actually he loves you.

Why does he love you?- because he wants to make you get closer to him... a very deep subject bro... I can't explain it in one post .

Well, I hope you do realize that nothing in this material world is permanent... or find a balance in life where you can adjust with both happiness and sorrow.

  3. The people here are doing alot for India actually.

Example : There is a neighbor next to my grandpa's house in India , he is a surgeon now in India, but he was a surgeon here in the U.S.A.

He left to India to help the poor, even though he has a big house there and his family lives in a very aristrocratic way (big cars, and alot of money), he makes huge amounts of money so that, he can give it away to the poor.

He does not charge the poor for the surgery though, there are many free surgeries that he does for people by paying out of his pocket... he is a really bright person... a truly selfless person.

He also has a great shine in his face. He is old now, but he was doing this from a long time ago, he went to India in the 70s/80s(I am speculating).

But, he helps the poor by also giving them free medicines.

Most people in India don't have the money to pay for their medical bills and his patients are taken care of (both financially/ medically) by him.

    ******************************************************

So, people from U.S.A. like the person above do help out in India. Even though most of the people here go there and spend alot of money for themselves... they also take a chunk of that money and spend it for the overall society.

  4. Are you like a dot buster or something? this is really offensive.

My family came from India and they weren't poor. My dad got a job transfer to this country so he came here and made some good money with much sincerety to his job.

He never hated a christian or any other religious group. Christians are not killed in India, I had a christian friend in India who has high ambitions and he is not subject to any discrimination due to this religion.

The muslims in India are different though, 70% of all muslims in India hate anyone who is a nonmuslim. They basically try to destroy deity idols and try to sabotage hindu worship sites. They also sabotage Christian and Jewish (small population) worship sites in India.

Most Indians who come here nowadays are either

    A) Doctors

    B) Computer Scientists/Programmers

    C) Professors in Science/mathematics...

    D) Priests (For temples in U.S.A.)

You are spreading some sort of sick PROPAGANDA, This is very offensive and I feel DISGUSTED by YOU.

You are probably a SOUTHERN AMERICAN. Who grew up in really segregated place and have formed all these misconceptions about people.

For you , there is only one thing in mind : CHRISTIANS=GOOD... OTHER RELIGIONS= THE DEVIL.

dude, I would recommend some counselling, may be you were abused in your past or something. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

  5. What is the purpose of life?

well, there are many answers to this. If you think you should enjoy yourself in life, then you are absolutely right.

The best enjoyment however is the service to krishna/God/whatever you want to call him. /images/graemlins/ooo.gif

In my view, the best service to krishna aside from the deity worship would be selfless action for the society... like volunteering in hospitals etc.

I am sure of it, because it gives the mind great peace. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

  6. Forget the virgin/non-virgin calculations. It is a bodily concept and has nothing to do with Krishna consciousness.

    ---------------------------

In the words of Prabhupada:" But the rascals do not know it. They are always busy with temporary problems. My permanent problem is that because of ignorance I am taking birth, I am accepting disease, I am accepting old age, and I am accepting death."

So, we need to get out of ignorance and go back to Godhead! hare krishna! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

So, lets worry about reaching krishna. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

  7. But doesn't Krishna say that he is everything... this throws me into a confusion...

He does say "The people who worship the demigods , go to the demigods" but he also says that he is everything and the result of everything is him.

So, if the result of all bhakthi is him, then shouldn't all worship go to him?

He is being worshipped in every instance... by my view.

So, when all worship goes to him, everyone should reach him. Then why is the worship of the demigods considered to be something of an inferior nature? This is a very sincere question, please help. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

  8. "As for me, I will continue to state my opinions with full reference to Vedas, Puraanas, Giitaa, etc. I don't agree with your double standard wherein it is okay to declare supremacy of your chosen deity with no regard to evidence, while anyone else who does the same with regards to his Deity is regarded by you as a "fanatic." Now, since both of you chaps will want to console each other and go on and on about what an unreasonable person I am, feel free to pull out your flamethrowers and do so. I will prefer to debate with intelligent, reasonable, and honest persons. So pardon if I do not dignify any of your further comments with a response."

  10. You see, my problem is not picking flowers for krishna or offering food that I eat or some water... It is not reading bhagavatham either.

I do these things every day, but the problem arises when I have finished doing these things.

I have nothing else to do. The rest of my day to day actions are considered "Waste of time" according to bhagavatham. Because they are external selfishness...

I don't want to just stop doing things for krishna, but the things I do for krishna are limited... so I have nothing else to do ...So, i am wasting time, am I not?

And according to bhagavatham, if I want to reach perfection I should not waste my time but I should engage myself in Krishna Consciousness activities.

But I have no other choice but to waste my time.
