  1. If it is going to happen then it will happen and ultimately the good of man kind will rise from it.

The "Good age" is called "Satva Yuga" by scriptures in sanskrit... but anyway, it seems that ultimately only good will reign over evil and the bad guys will die.

So, I guess if it is going to happen, we should welcome it. On the other hand, if it does not happen, then people have more time to realize God/Krishna /images/graemlins/smile.gif

  2. Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Is the same thing as :

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

You have to realize that Rama is not superior to krishna because in any given instance, they are the same thing. x=x, x can never be greater than x.

Winand: "I think the isconners have very good love for their isht deva.. this is a very good thing ..but when people are saying that nothing excists but my isht deva ..then the wrong path is being persued... according to me.."

The reason we have bhakthi is to see that which truly exists.

That which exists is the almighty and he has many names. So my dear friend, whether you worship him as Krishna, Rama, Narasimha or something else... it does not matter because he is the same thing.

    x= integers , integers=x

Forgive my poor math models, but they are just used to explain the point that I was trying to make.

  3. So we really don't have any freedom because in both instances we are stuck.

The difference is that in one instance we don't realize that we have no freedom.

Then, in another instance we realize the truth.

But then that would mean both are bad. Then would that mean liberation is illusion ? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

  5. Krishna said who sleeps more or less / who eats more or does not eat at all does not come out of the suffering but falls into more delusion.

It is our dharma to take care of this body, whether it be good, bad, old, young.

It is better to sleep 8 hours but adults can do well with out the extra two hours of sleep.

Sleep is needed for our brain to coordinate and function properly...So, for devotees I don't think sleep will be a problem because if the body coordinates properly then it can be directed toward krishna /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think we need the sleep and it depends on our body. In my view, Srila prabhupada probably said it to put emphasis on the fact that we need balance in our health/spiritual and physical.

"I feel I get really cranky and easily angry at people, like to hear from Bhaktas/Matas..."

May be krishna knows it and is making you sleep more, you shouldn't go against something that is natural and needed in life. I think krishna is making you sleep.

But you should get out of your bed right when you wake up... that decreases laziness and makes us more assertive...

Oh yea you may like the prayer "Krishna please control my pons so it won't make me cranky" /images/graemlins/wink.gif

  6. They are every where in India so it is better to buy the mosquito killing gel. It is there in all indian Medical stores.

The best way to look for a medical store there is a + sign. No one would know if you ask "where is the local pharmacy" , but if you ask " where is the medical store" they will tell you.

Anyway, cover your feet because in many places in India there are some bugs which the Indians are immune to but not the Americans or Indians from America/west.

So, please never walk with out your shoes and if you think shoes are too much trouble... buy like Indian sandals. But I would advice sneakers to you.

Also, if you have to remove your shoes in temples etc... be careful on what you step on and wash your feet regularly with water.

When I went to India, I did not care much for the feet...and with one bug bite my whole foot was swollen and I had to have a bed rest for 3 days. So please be careful.

  7. We can remember our first days of life and also the life in the womb.

Studies show that it is possible after hypnosis ... the subconscious mind is opened and then the hypnotist will take it to his/her mother's womb.

Then , the subconscious mind... acting like a baby will talk about its days in the womb.

/images/graemlins/smile.gif I have seen this in discovery channel shows ...

  8. When I said the only perfect state of enlightenment is through the loving devotional service to the supreme, I based it on the life of narada and sukadeva Goswami.

Dear Guest : "It is very rare that a being receives profound divine mystical experience (becomes God realized) and then believes there is no God."

The fact that buddha believed that self is ultimately an illusion is true. It is in buddhist philosophy. Please go read about buddhism.

"Once upon a time man's only fear was natural disasters, starvation and preditors. Now in addition he has God to worry about."

God is something that protects people from suffering, not vice versa. It is to find your essential true nature , you need God. It is not something like you need to live with "God's rules". You can live with out them.

"Will the Kalki avatar pull it off?"

Kalki can pull it off, if you want him to pull it off, but you can pull it off yourself right now. You can end your suffering in this very moment.

"Buddha did not pull it off, Krishna did not, Jesus Christ did not. Eons later man is still suffering. "

The essential nature of humans is that they have freedom to do or not to do. It is in your hands, all those people whom you have mentioned can only tell you how to end your suffering.

"Man and God are opposite ends (at this time) of the same reality. Man must do his part in seeking liberation from sorrow."

Exactly my point, but I have to go now, bye...

  9. In reply to : "Bolderdash. Buddha was not God realized."

    ________

Buddha was God realized by my research into buddhism, however the grade and the depth of realization differs greatly to what depth krishna wants us to go into. Buddha believed that there is no God. He said everything ends in void and that the self itself is ultimately an illusion.

Even though this is true, it is not complete realization, but the death of the soul or the individualized self that has formed in brahman(krishna). Our essential nature is not to end our existence, but to serve the higher self and us being one with him/not being one with him depend solely on the will of the supreme alone.

  10. Because people who try to "convert" Hare krishnas/ Hindus...but fail to do so. Still, at the end of every failure, they express extreme hate for krishna. So, if they hate krishna so bad , then that would mean they are cursing and hating krishna with out showing pride in religion and if a person constantly hates krishna then krishna comes to him.

So, can we can conclude that they are too loving krishna , but that love is masked with hate?

So, Can we say that they too go to Vrindavan?

I haven't read any thing about this but are there older bully gopis in spiritual Vrindavan who have a rasa of beating up krishna?

My objective is not to offend anyone here... I was just curious.

Thank you for clearing this up (in advance) /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Same thing would be applied to Atheists, pranksters, bullies etc?
