Of course Balaram is the epitomy of sakhya rasa, another very beautiful rasa. Ahh...the rasa of friendship!

Do Radharani and Balaram ever talk or anything? I've never heard of any pastimes where They do anything w/ Krishna, together. Maybe They just interact through Ananga Manjari (since She's His Hladini Shakti, right?).

  2.

Yes, this is why Lord Nityananda can experience even more than Lord Balaram can experience. Balaram cannot experience madhurya rasa but since Nityananda prabhu is the incarnation of a gopi, he can experience madhurya rasa also. It is so beautiful.

That is so beautiful. The pastimes of the Lord are so wonderfully mysterious. Jai Nitai-Gauranga!

She incarnated in many forms of Gaura lila:

Nityananda prabhu and His two wives- Jahnava and Vasudha were all incarnations of Ananga Manjari.

She also incarnated as Gopal Bhatta Goswami and Gadadhara Pandit's younger sister.

Oh, wow. So Nityananda Prabhu is both Ananga Manjari AND Lord Balaram? That's wonderful :) I'm so glad to have learned this. I guess it makes sense though, since Lord Chaitanya is both Radharani and Krishna in one form, so Their siblings would also follow Them in the same form.

Yes, I also learned that He is a combined incarnation of Lalita devi and Srimati Radharani.

Godseedji, have you read this in Gaura Gannodesh Dipika, that He was also an incarnation of Vishaka devi? I am interested to know, because I am so ignorant. I know many times even 3-4 residents of Goloka incarnated as one person.

I think that might be the case, too. After all, aren't Lalita and Visakha very close as well?

Does anyone know who Ananga Manjari (Radharani's younger sister) incarnated as in Gaura-Lila?

ÇréGadäi is incarnantion of ÇréRädhikä mätäjé and also ÇrématéViçäkhäjé!:)

ÇréViçäkhäjé always follows ÇrématéRädhikäjé, so when Çrématé Rädhikäjé appeared, Çrématé Viçäkhäjé also followed HER and entered ÇréGadäijé!

I heard that Gadadhara was the combined incarnation of Srimati Radharani and Lalita... not Visakha

    Well... no matter what....

YOU MIGHT HAVE TO PUT YOUR PHOTO IN PHOTOBUCKET.COM

Its easy to start. it's a free account. Then you are then sure the photos get permanantly printed because its from your account

In other words I cannot see your photo

I'll start a photobucket account (b/c I've been wanting to do one for a really long time, but haven't gotten around to it), but you can see the pic here: http://bhagavata.org/images/pictures/picturesc12-2.html directly under Chapter 12: The Contents of the Srimad-Bhagavatam Summarized. It's just a pic from a website that someone posted above.

LOL... now you can be just like Mary... radhey radhey

:) I say let them be too Radhey. I have a good friend who is gay, he hides his gayness due to all the nonsense attitudes in this town. When I told him I know and I dont mind he was happy, and gave me a big hug, whiskers and all

I dislike homophobia. Maybe being gay might be a block to the Gaudiya goal (I dont know to be honest)...but so is a million other things like speaking poorly of devotees, pride, etc etc....why exclude gays from the rest of us fallen jivas I say!

That's sad :( At least he has a friend like you, though. :) We have the same kinds of prejudice here in the Mid-Western United States, too (where most people basically avoid everyone who's not a white, straight Protestant).

I agree. In fact, I think that pride (of one's sexual preference, perhaps?) is much more of a hinderence to Krishna consciousness than homosexuality.

  8.

I personally think anyone who has sex and does not beget children within 9 months should immediately be arrested. :) I kid, I kid. Like I always say, whatever floats your boat. I have come to the conclusion that gay marriage is gonna be a reality whether spiritual minded people like it or not so the best thing I can do is hope the best for people of all kinds of sexual orientations etc.

LOL :D Yea, I agree. Let's just wish the best for our gay brothers and sisters and let them be.

Just came across an interesting factiod. According to the Oxford English Dictionary the root word for the english word wisdom is the sanskrit word veda. I figure many of you know this already but it was news to me.

And it defines exactly how I have come to see veda and why veda is more than a group of books from a particular land and from a paritcular time in history.

    Discuss?

Yeah, that's why there's that group of incarnations of Durga/Kali/Maya called the 'MahaVidyas' or 'Great Wise Ones'. :)

I just thought of something. Many of you object to homosexuality in that it doesn't produce children and just increases desire, but what do you think of infertile couples? And what about couples after the woman has gone through menopause? Should they not be able to express their love for each other either?
