I cannot understand why it would be wrong to ask about a painting?

And if the painting that you have shown was a wall painting...

..then there is still some skin exposure in it!

Just look at the attachment that contains the picture of sati anasuya

I do not know about those days but, here mother anasuya does not wear any blouse.

I can feel that it is definitely lust filled thought to look, but when I look at the picture that is where the eyes go.

I show my devotion towards many goddeses,(mainly saraswati, durga and lakshmi) but ever since I first listened to this story, I have been madly reading all the articles on the internet that speak about the test of anasuya.

It has also become like an addiction. And all I am doing now is searching if I can find a video clip, where this drama takes place, or atleast a paiting by some artist who just like me after hearing the story would have felt like drawing a series of paintng that contain the story and also contain one image which contains anasuya in naked form.

Even though at times I know that it is a story that just tells how strong a chaste woman can be, it also makes me think in all wierd thoughts about the difference between listening these tales and the real world.

Imagine going to a woman and just behave the same way. You will definitely be sent away,( to a police station).

I realise that this kind of thoughts and behaviour is due to my constant search in the internet on this topic and that the first time I heard the story, my mind was full of lust.

I am a human and so most of the times I cannot control my self.

But after going through these searches and wasting a lot of time, I finally realize once again that however hard I try I will never get such a picture.

And why do I behave like I am dying for porn(naked woman), where in reality I always stay away from it.

I request you there fore either to direct me to such a link where i get the full painting of anansuya.

Or help me hear words which I need to hear from you.

And Pujari Sir, please forgive me for all the wrong thoughts, but some where inside I know this is wrong but I loose control most of the time.

You are asking your brothers and sisters to send you a naked picture of Our Mother after you've admitted to feeling lustful for Her. I don't think anyone will comply with your wish.

Second, you are not talking about Vishnu when you talk about Dwarka or Adam's bridge, you're talking about Krishna and Rama who are his avatars...

I don't think Vishnu is mentionned in the Vedas....:(

Firstly, when you talk about Vishnu's incarnations (or Krishna's incarnations) you are talking about the same person. Krishna is nondifferent from Rama is nondifferent from Vishnu. The only difference is in Their pastimes.

    Secondly:

"I will declare the mighty deeds of Vishnu, of him who measured out the earthly regions,

Who propped the highest place of congregation, thrice setting down his footstep, widely striding.

    For this his mighty deed is Vishnu lauded, like some wild beast, dread, prowling, mountain-roaming;

He within whose three wide-extended paces all living creatures have their habitation.

Let the hymn lift itself as strength to Vishnu, the Bull far-striding, dwelling on the mountains,

Him who alone with triple step hath measured this common dwelling-place, long, far extended.

Him whose three places that are filled with sweetness, imperishable, joy as it may list them,

Who verily alone upholds the threefold, the earth, the heaven, and all living creatures.

May I attain to that his well-loved mansion where men devoted to the Gods are happy.

For there springs, close akin to the Wide-Strider, the well of meath in Vishnu's highest footstep.

Fain would we go unto your dwelling-places where there are many-horned and nimble oxen,

For mightily, there, shineth down upon us the widely-striding Bull's sublimest mansion."

    --Rig Veda 1.154 :)

Your analogy between homosexuality and dyeing ne's hair and wearing make up is not a very sound one IMO opinion but enough said on that one.

I agree, this mini-conversation really has nothing to do with this thread.

And if there were any valid cases they should have been filed against the individuals involved and not the whole community.

    That's a really good point.

  4. I agree that the persecution of polygamists is wrong, and it may have something to do with current popular religion in the United States (which, I really don't understand why any Christians are against polygamy, since nearly all of their male religious figures were polygamists).

As far as homosexuality being natural or not, dying one's hair also isn't natural. Niether is piercing the ears or nose. Or even wearing makeup. People do it anyway, even though it's obviously not natural. I don't think that's sinful. It's probably not what Krishna intended (per-se) when He created the first human beings, but I don't think He thinks it's sinful to pierce yourself or dye your hair or wear makeup. So, if all of these unnatural practices can be accepted, then why not homosexuality? People who decorate themselves aren't hurting anyone but themselves by doing such things, and neither are homosexuals. So, I really don't see the problem.

I think this was a special case though, since it has been reported by several ex-members that there were child marriages going on (not to mention how many young girls are pregnant within the compound). But, I don't think the parents should be kept from their parents. That's very cruel to both the parents and the children.

Of course, these are just my opinions, and I'm not trying to force them on anyone. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

    Wrong thread bro.

I was responding to people who think that (willful) polygamy is wrong and (willful) homosexuality is wrong. I really don't see anything wrong with either one (in a secular setting, that is). As long as it's their choice. Of course, everyone has their own opinion. I was just stating my own.

    Fakhruddin Alamshah

I saw a television show that said that many geniuses have problems speaking. So, I really wouldn't worry about it. Maybe it's just a sign of your high IQ!

    Jai Sri Radharani :)

Me too in certain circumstances. If we take a look at the Battlefield of Kurukshetra, while giving the lecture of the Gita, at times he was Humorous but I don't think that there is a conversation as sober as the Celestial Song.

But He wasn't in Goloka Vrindavan at that time. Right now, He's probably wrestling with the gopas, playing in the Yamuna with Radharani, or stealing butter from Mother Yashoda. :)

But, yes, of course the Lord is serious at times, and the Gita is certainly no laughing matter.

I am totally new to these message boards, and admittedly, I probably don't know nearly as much as you all do about the deities....But I see something really very wrong with comparing deities. As I understand it, one cannot be better than the other.....For they all exist, together, for a reason...Am I wrong?? I believe I have a particular spiritual connection to Lord Krishna...Which is why I am here, and why I signed-up. I wasn't born into Hinduism, although my ancestors were hindus. I was never taught anything about any of the deities, and I never had a reason to have any interest in Krishna, yet I was always drawn to him, and sought knowledge in the Gita/Mahabarata. Had I felt that way about Rama or Shiva, I would have probably gone out of my way to learn about them. But Krishna always drew me in. I don't know...For me it's not a question of who's "better" or more "powerful" but to whom you feel most connected to......Or perhaps I'm just crazy :) One thing's for sure though...I see endless reasons to love Lord Krishna.

I agree. We should just love God, whatever we choose to call Him. I am more drawn to Radharani. She is Lord Krishna's Hladini Shakti after all. :)

    Lord Kalki's action is this?:

    :kick:

    I don't think so!

Kalki doesn't come to Kali yuga to kill innocent people.

She was totally insane. She was married to an Indian man, yet she supported the massacre of the Roma people (the closest relatives to South Asians in Europe). You can read about her here: tp://www.savitridevi.org/ It includes some of her psychotic literature (I can't even believe there are still people who follow her ludicrous ideas).
