1. Hare Krishna You question can never be answered, only Krishna knows about Good/Bad karma, what is conductive to Bhakti should have been your question.... after all we do live in the material. /images/graemlins/frown.gif
2. Hare Krishna The Vedas is written by the literary incarnation of Krishna, you comment about sadhus/saints etc they are trying to preach about Krishna as best they can, Krishna is Not so cheap that he can be realised by anybody.
3. Hare Krishna I think you already believe some of the facts about Krishna, and you inquires are excellent, but you force yourself to Not to believe in Him, therefore your intelligence is covered.
4. Hare Krishna I offer food also at home, but for some reason my mothers offering of food always tastes better than my attempt /images/graemlins/smile.gif
5. Hare Krishna Krishna 'decends' to attract all living entities to Him, he 'comes' down just like a normal human being and has parents, only His devotees can know him fully, so you see he is not a Human being. Also he has multi-potencies so the univerce is taken care of without a problem, where ever Krishna is, just by His willing.
6. Hare Krishna We pray too to Krishna but with Love, and we teach other people to love Krishna as well, its not mundane or imaginey it is there as a seed within your heart, the only way to have a little taste is by chanting the Maha-Mantra.
7. Hare Krishna I would like to ask the Muslim people in this forum, do you love Allah, If you do then how can you love something impersonal, I am talking from the point of view of Islam so please don't deviate from the asked qusetion. Just say do you love Allah or not, I have Muslim workmates and they say Allah is the greatest, but when I ask do you love, they frown? So could you please answer for me? Thanks.
8. Hare Krishna Forget it man, just chant hare-krshna with feeling, maybe I am feeling bit sensitive or something, misunderstanding seem to happen a lot on this forum, theres a story about it but I can't remember. Its so easy to offend people in Kali-Yuga the best bet in just to say 'shut your face prabhu otherwise I'll put maha-prasadam down your throat'...if I can find any!
9. Hare Krishna I'm so glad you are doing this Indasji, there are many lonely old people who have no company aside from television, having forgot there purpose of life, with your project you can help so many people young and old, younger people in India tend to listen to elders more so everyone will be benefited, oh and lot of nice trees as well, don't forget the tulasi plants prabhu! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
10. Me? you can't win in this place, login/out!
11. Hare Krishna Please don't misundersand me I am NOT devoted to sai baba NEVER have been, just thought he was a devotee, Not God I have always like Sri Rama/Hanuman/Krishna, I also do have Srila Prabhpada picture (how could you think I didn't?!), sorry but I was really offending by that (my heart), but I think you were speaking for other people /images/graemlins/smile.gif, I have lot of pictures of Radha-Krishna in 'my' house, and maha-mantra stickers, fridge magnets /images/graemlins/grin.gif, calendars, I think will give away picture of sai baba (maybe) cause don't think my mum would like it, so just leave it for now, plus my family like Krishna more because of hearing LOUD!! chanting of maha-mantra on surround-sound dolby pro-logic speakers /images/graemlins/laugh.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
12. Hare Krishna I am a 'Hindu'<excuse me! /images/graemlins/smirk.gif, and my family has had a picture of 'bhagavan satya sai baba' for about 20-30 years now, but after going through the 'folio part IIII (This time it personal!), I noticed Srila Prabhupada talking with disciples etc that sai baba is a fake due to his calling himself bhagavan and him NOT being a devotee of KRSNA!. So what should I do with this picture having paid respects to it nearly all my life, I am so confused, and still scared in case I incur sin.. /images/graemlins/confused.gif
13. Hare Krishna The highest perfectional is Krsna, thinking always Krsna, and Radharani. That is the highest perfectional stage. She has no other business: simply thinking of Krsna. Visnujana : While we are chanting our rounds, or while we are chanting out loud in kirtana, is it all right to be engaging our mind in thinking? Prabhupada : Is it not? Visnujana : He is already (indistinct). Prabhupada : This is practical way? (laughter) If you are not minding, the chanting will force you to mind upon Him. You see? Krsna sound will by force. Chanting is so nice. And this is the practical yoga in this age. You cannot meditate. Your mind is so disturbed, you cannot concentrate your mind. Therefore chant, and by the sound vibration, it will forcibly enter it into your mind. Even if you don't want Krsna, Krsnaa will enter within your mind. By force. (laughter) /images/graemlins/smile.gif This is the easiest process. You don't require to endeavor. Krsna is coming. (laughter) (Prabhupada laughs) It is very nice process. This is recommended therefore, for this age. And others also will be benefited. You chant loudly. Others who are not accustomed, they will also. At least... Just like on the street, in the park, they say "Hare Krsna!" How they have learned? By hearing this chanting. That's all. Sometimes the children, as soon as they see us, they say "Oh, Hare Krsna!" In Montreal the children, when I was walking on the street, all the children, the shopkeepers, the storekeepers, they will say "Hare Krsna!" And that's all. So we have forced Hare Krsna within the mind. If you practice yoga, meditate, it may be beneficial for you, but this is beneficial for many others. Suppose something very good, you are enjoying yourself, some sweetballs-that is one stage. But if you distribute sweetballs, that is another stage. So by chanting on the road, on the street, you are distributing sweetballs. (laughter) You are not miser, that you are eating yourself. You are so liberal that you are distributing to others. Now chant, distribute. (laughter) (kirtana) (end) Lecture to College Students -- krsna force .. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
14. Hare Krishna /images/graemlins/smile.gif The one nice thing that happened to me was that, I was cleaning my altar, and I thought very deeply to my self while cleaning a picture of Srila Prabhupada, this person is a pure devotee, and suddenly my heart started pounding, Krishna was giving me instructions or was pleased with me! The next day I offered my respects to Srila Prabhupada, like he is a second Vishnu, and I placed pancha-tatvva as well on my altar..Haribol.
15. Hare Krishna Theres a story about Maharaj Bharata who retired to the forest and practiced devotional service unto Krishna, but he temporarily became attached to a deer, and had to take a deers body in his next life, but due to his service to Krishna he remembered his past life, and again took birth as Jada Bharata (pure devotee). Maybe not the thread to talk about pastimes but I like this one...one day some devotees of Kali kidnapped Jada Bharata for sacrifice, due to Jada Bharatas bhakti, his rays broke slight crack in Kalis form, the devotees of Kali were about to kill Jada Bharata, and Kali could understand this, and she promptly took form and killed all Her devotees and drunk their blood, I like this story because Kali didnt care for Her devotees but saved the pure Jada Bharata. ps I can delete story /images/graemlins/confused.gif
16. Hare Krishna The quality of the web-cams have improved a lot, it is a joy to behold the un-folding images.
17. Hare Krishna Bhuta preta pisacha nikat nahi avah mahavir jaba nama sunava Evil spirits Never dare approach a person who chants the name mahavir (hanuman) I've been praying to Hanumanji all my life so evil spirits won't dare approach me, and I was saved once in my life by Hanumanji..but I won't go into that, all I can say is it was a miracle. ps although chanting Hare_krishna is most effective in this age /images/graemlins/smile.gif
18. Hare Krishna Madanji The confusion is with the word Avataar, people can get its meaning confused, Krishna descends to this material world AS HE IS, so 'descend' means avatar thats all. So Krishna descends (comes down) in His original spiritual form. Lord Vishnu and Krishna are the same. /images/graemlins/smile.gif The way I got attracted to Krishna is knowing that you can be friends with Him, that just I couldnt believe, but with Lord Vishnu you can only be a servant, in the Ramayana when Lord Rama ate even Sri Sitamata she couldnt eat from the same plate - what to say of Sri Hanuman, but Krishna The All-Attractive God allowed His dear friend Arjuna to eat from the same plate of food! Hope that helps in some way.
19. 'Ghosts In the Abandoned Hotel' In Key West we stayed at Avirama's wife's fathers estate. We stayed in the guest house of an old hotel from the early part of the century. The hotel had been abandoned for quite a few years. Vipra Prabhu, the bus driver asked some of us if we wanted to check out some 'ghosts' in the hotel. Being 'new devotees' we were looking for all kinds of far out /images/graemlins/cool.gif experiences and followed him into the ballroom of the hotel. Upon entering we could hear voices coming from out of nowhere /images/graemlins/frown.gif in the middle of the room. It sounded like a party of 500 people all talking at once. Then Vipra started a tape of Srila Prabhupada chanting and the whole noise fell silent /images/graemlins/smile.gif. He turned off the tape and again it started up again. /images/graemlins/frown.gif That was enough for me. I left real fast. /images/graemlins/wink.gif It reminded me of another time when I got 'attacked' by a ghost three times in one night at the LA temple in 1974. I had just laid down to take rest after talking about ghosts during hot milk prasadam. I guess that attracted it. All of the sudden this spirit came over me as I lay just starting to drift off. I couldn't move any muscles. All I could move was my eyes so I looked at a picture of Krishna that was lit up enough to see and the ghost let go. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif Some time later the ghost came back. This time I thought I'd play with it a little bit. /images/graemlins/mad.gif I wanted to see how far it would/could go. It just froze up my nervous system as soon as I thought about the Hare Krishna Mahamantra it went away. This happened one more time. I was tired of the ghost so I chanted right away to be rid of it. When I told the Swami's about the visit in the morning T.K.G. said that he was also attacked twice. LESSON: Never talk about ghosts before taking rest! LESSON: The Holy Names of the Lord are more powerful than anything material, even ghosts! OM TAT SAT Pastimes

21. Hare Krishna I would personally like the western world to see a movie version of mahabharata first and then the krishna book, what higher prabhus think is best, and i would except that.
22. Hare Krishna I'm NOT talking about the book, just a 'movie version' of The Krishna Book, reading a book is a lot different from watching a film, thats why you have both!, reading requires more concentration, whereas a movie you just tend to pick up on the 'good' bits, thats only my opinion /images/graemlins/smile.gif
23. Hare Krishna Imagine..popcorn,coke/pespi/peanuts, Krishna pastimes with Gopis, people will only feel lustful, forgetting about Lord Krishna's previous pastimes, and the point of Mahabharata is at the end 'The Song of God', so first you see Krishna/Arjuna talking, and get that in your mind, then buy Gita maybe, then read about 'high' pastimes after understanding Gita a bit, thats my opinion /images/graemlins/smile.gif
24. Hare Krishna You said "the Mahabharata is so dense and long it would be impossible to get a world audience interested" I say "the krishna book contains pasimes with Gopis, which would only make people lustful, not knowing is true nature"
