With time i understood the importance of Brahmin. After going through the life of the likes of Ramanujacharya, Madhvacharya, Adi Shankarcharya, Paramhansa Yogananda, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Sri Abhay Charan Dey and many many others, i understood the importance of their advent.
Think of this world without a Tulsidasa, Thyagrajen, Annamacharya, Ramadasu... I think you got the answer.
It is true that Brahmins of today are just for namesake. But i still believe that there are some who still carrying the Brahminical Flag up high according to their capacity. There are a long way to go before the Indian Culture would be erased from this world before another pristine and pure yuga starts, so we should not lose hope...the Lord will see to it that someone comes to guide us time and again.

Read all the books of RK Narayan.
His works are simply a joy to read, you'll understand human nature and thereby understand where, how, why and when to act.
Start with the following :
1. Sampath the Printer of Malgudi
2. The Financial Expert
3. The Painter of Sign
After reading these 3, you'll automatically wish to read the rest.. The Guide is his magnum Opus.

hi smaranam.
The only thing I can say after the passage of these 4 years is that you still have the same old beautiful mind.

It is one of the toughest verse of the Gita. It helps in creating and maintaining employment, promoting an equilibrium between intellectual and physical workers and selflessness when performing job and last but not least, courage even when faced with the most difficult and dangerous jobs.
-
It means serving selflessly humankind according to one's nature and dedicating the fruits of one's action to the Eternal Flute Player.

Even if one is endowed with telepathic power, he refrains from venturing the private corner of others' mind.
Willing to share depends from person to person though. With whom to share.. that's the tricky part.

Hello friends, I would like to know whether Hindu marriage ceremony (during the vedic era) was conducted at night or during the day time.
Furthermore, can anyone tell me whether Sri Ram marriage was conducted during the day or night?
Your insight would be warmly welcomed.
Thanks.

Lost in Translation.
I think those born in the indian subcontinent, exposed to hindi, should be more tolerant, vis a vis, our friends alien to the hindi language.
I'll be more open hearted while saying that more of a hardwork is being done from those foreigners than the indian themselves for the preservation of the indian tradition.

Hi Amlesh who wants to take human birth time after time!!!!!!!!!!!????????? when there is no guarantee of moksha!!!!!!!!!let alone GURUS WHO EVER WANT MOKSHA!!! HUMAN LIFE IS JUST A DREAM AND FACING GOD IS THAT WE HAVE TO BECOME A POLITICAL FIGURE TO FACE HIM OR HER JUST AS GOVT FIGURE!!!!!!!Who wants to take human birth time after time?
It is just a mechanism...the Karmic law is one of the parameter of the next body that we get.
Moksha can start in the present body that we possess, it does not necessarily mean we need to leave this body or this world to achieve it.

Hi amlesh bhagavat gita is a story about arjun and Krisha! but it is not written how the 7 or 9ht chakras work within our body.Anyway i rest my case and I have no further questions as you are not an experienced guru that can enter the AKSHIC RECORDS !!!!!!! BYE
As you wish

It is the same as the story of the mosquito and you, the latter lives only three days of ur lifetime, and dies. What will be his birth again we don't know, maybe as a human being and start living another hundred years.Likewise, maybe after a human being death, the latter might be born in the planet of Brahma where in he can enjoy a lifetime of maybe Brahma himself, hence we cannot compare ourselves to be born as human being life after life, since the answer to it only The Eternal Flute Player beholds.
-
No, I'm not an experienced Guru. In fact, I do come here to learn from the people frequenting the audarya site.
And for your questions I think I'm still raw to be able to answer you fully. All your questions have an answer, just read the Gita.

1&2
It was said that his roop was innumerable.. out of fear Arjuna asked him to revert back to his Syamsundar Rup.
Among the innumerables, i suppose there should have included the list that you have presented.
If mention of each was to be done, the battle of Kurrukshetra, would never had started

Where it has been said?

which one? there are so many.

The day you'll get out of the clutches of time, and become liberated. You'll feel eternity and understand the concept of point in time.
The millions and millions of years that Brahma lives, if we compare it with eternity is like a drop of water in the ocean.
The time of liberation is dependant on you as well as the lord, when one embraces truth at the risk of anything and everything, for him liberation is at the footstep.
5.
The creator. The all pervasive supreme universal truth, whom I want to meet face to face, in person

What I heard, each one when born, they are born hindu... then they get converted.

Well, those who are acquainted with Hindi and has watched the Hindi serial Ramayan (Ramayana for those not used to hindi) or Mahabharat (Mahabharata) won't find it difficult to pronounce Ram instead of Rama. But whatever it is, the real intention of the Bhakt (Bhakta) that counts.
When the sweet Lord's name is taken with love, with or without the real pronunciation, He comes to the call.

Where does this dude get off posting nonsense?Christ is known by the Bible and the Bible only. Not willing to take the Bible seriously, but Christ, is the height of stupidity. It is the usual case of selective filtering. Accept everything that matches my pet beliefs and reject everything else as false.
Stop wasting time, responding to his ludicrous posts. You can all find better things to do.
Cheers
Don't know.. the Bible was post bible and Jesus Himself said.. he knows that none of his Disciple could really decipher what he was saying...

This is another way of saying all people who agree with your religious beliefs are clever and everyone else is foolish. No, I was just being you...but advocating something that you are against.
However, the dictionary meanings of clever and foolish have nothing to do with one's religious beliefs. Unless you have alternate meanings (like theist), there is no reason to differ from the dictionary meaning. Consequently, there are dumb and smart religious people and also dumb and smart atheists.
which dictionary?
Oxford or Cambridge?
We do not know. For example, the Hare Krishnas, like the Christians have made it easy for their people. The believe they can attain liberation in one lifetime. This is opposed to the traditional view that several lifetimes of cleansing are necessary for liberation.
Wanting liberation means neophyte Vaishnavism.
Anyway, my point is, never taking interest in Krishna and simply trying the "remember me at the time of death" trick does not make sense. The impact of all the activities during one's lifetime override the impact of one's thoughts at the time of death - whatever these thoughts may be. It has to be that way or else, the whole concept of a devotional lifestyle filled with regulations, is pointless.
Cheers
Hehe... if one believe that one Himself is the master of Near Death Moments... then for sure, one will have many ideas.
You are not getting the real point.
A devotee who is chanting millions time a day also does not necessarily means he is sure to take Hari's name at the last moment.
It is not mechanised.

as i am a bhakti practitioner i would like to believe that prema bhakti is infinitely higher and more selfless than craving for moksha .however there remains one little problem !
when you give krishna naam to 'fallen souls' in order to liberate them from material world you are attempting a liberation(moksha) . without that there is no meaning as to why a human should practise bhakti . you might say bhakti is to love god selflessly ... correct ........ but why should anyone love god ? answer -- to get liberated from sorrrows or material world or materials attachments etc etc . if it is not so there is no point in preaching the glories of lord to people or to try to make them spiritual . moksha always remains the end !! think about it .......
The Secrets of Bhakti gets decrypted only when one has already conquered everything... The Chosen One broadens his thinking from his own inside fighting like conquering senses etc...
By merely saying Love for Krishna... things does not end there... since Krishna means everthing... One Loves Everyone... which can only happen when One has conquered everything... and Bhakti Starts from there...
WORKING SELFLESSLY FOR LOKASAMSAMGRAHA.
