[Raw Food] New here

Hello everyone.. I joined a few weeks ago but I havent had alot of

time to post or introduce myself. I'm Tiffany, 37 and have been 90-95%

raw for two weeks. I am feeling great and doing really well except for

having some teeth problems. I am wondering if it is common for raw

foodists to experience teeth pain and / or problems.. I thought I read

about it somewhere but I cant seem to find it again. I am a fairly

busy person(who doesn't want to be) and cannot always read my email

daily but I try to keep up with the posts when I can. Also are there

any others here who are just starting out? Thanks ahead of time for

any suggestions or info about teeth & raw diet~

It's a reasonable surmise. :) Now that you are eating a different selection

Welcome Angel,

You've come to the right place and believe me some of the kindness,

happyiest people are to be found in this group. Vegetarians and

Vegans are well known for their peaceful ways. Hate certainly is not

in my vocabulary. I don't even hate the 'm' word. LOL .. Most of us

love to cook. However it's so darn hot right now that we are baking

less . You will find some excellent recipes in our files.

Have fun and share some of your recipes.

Make a rewarding , peaceful day

Hi Marcia,

I eat seefood, too but no Calamares or Octopus or similar anymore, since

I have seen them in an aquarium alive, really small ones, about two

inches long and you really had the impression they watched you. I

thought they were cute. In that moment I decided to not eat any more of

them...

I think people might be right when they say I am weird.

You're not weird.. I don't eat anything that can look directly at me, and I

ve seen calamari 'smile' so I don't eat it either.

My husband thinks I'm weird too .. Because I won't eat red meat at all

anymore. Or pork. I told him he was strange because he did lol It takes

all kinds of people to make the world go around :)

Thank you , Marcia!

In our neighborhood there are people having a little pig as a pet, they

go for walks with it just like we do with the dogs. It is so cute! I am

wondering if they still can eat pork??? Dog people here in Germany go

mad about other culture eating dogs. Are we any better eating all the other

animals???

I think lots of people eat the meat without thinking of the animal it

was, if you see a steak or ground beef or a skinless boneless chicken

breast it doesn't really look like a cute animal, does it? Different

with whole chicken perhaps...

And I am sure lots of kids don't even KNOW they eat an animal when they

have no matter which meat!!!

I right now think I am very close to the point having eaten my last

meat! Will find ways to substitute for me, if DBf has the graving for

some, as he won't just let me have the sides and just skip the meat...

Thanks for reading so far,

Hi Sandy, and welcome!!! Two suggestions to get started:

1. Search the group archive for " blood sugar " , " transitioning " , and

" diabetes " . Much has been written.

2. Drop that diabetes group until AFTER you resolve your own diabetes. You

can rejoin later if you wish. But if you try and take what you learn hear

and share it over there, before you have gained real mastery, you'll likely

have a series of rather unpleasant experiences and become quite confused.

Best,

Elchanan

[Raw Food] NEW here

Hello all, I joined earlier this month but have not had time to really

introduce myself. At least I dont think I did.

I am married and have two adult children. We have a dog that has insulinoma

cancer which has really taken up a lot of my time of late. Really been touch

and go with her.

I am interested in learning how to achieve a raw diet, get some good recipes

to get me started and learn how to make a balanced raw meal.

I am diabetic and hope I can undo that. I am controlled by diet at this

point. But my numbers are beginning to climb. I belong to a diabetic group

on and hope that as I see numbers fall that I can also help others to

go raw from what I beleive will happen for me. Or at least get some to try

doing some raw meals.

I have seen that even when I have eaten chips (which will raise my morning

numbers) and then followed with raw food later, my numbers are a lot lower

in the mornings. I need support to break through the addictions of junk

food and cooked food. I also have a husband to contend with and dont know

that he will go raw, so I have to do for myself at this point. He will eat

what I fix, but may not want to do only raw. He has even liked the two or

three soups I made too.

Daughter is moving back in and she is willing to give it a shot with me.

Well gotta go.

Nice to meet you all. And thank you for letting me join.

I hope this group helps you.

I would suggest eating easy to digest foods like fruits, steamed

veggies and soups like kitcheree. Meats, cheeses and soy and peanut

butter are very hard to digest foods. Eat and cook with carmative

herbs which help digestion.
