HELLO

Hello,

I would very like to write an article on a vegan whose pet dog or cat

doesn't eat meat either.

I write for main stream magazines whose readers may not be aware of vegan

pet food.

Can you help.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome!! Nice to meet you. I'm Janine. I'm online googling vegetarian

recipes. I found one that looks really good, tempeh cakes instead of

crab cakes. : )

Welcome, Christine!! Glad you found us.

It sounds to me like you've make quite a nice start. Congrats on eating

breakfast! That can be a real challenge if you're not used to it.

About the journal, it took me a long time to even figure out what I was feeling

-- both physically and emotionally. I wrote " fine " or " ok " or " blah " or " I

don't know! " for a long time, LOL.

One thing that really helped me was to get my blank journals from the Radiant

Recovery online store. I don't know if that's what you use. It has lists of

words for feelings and the format really works well for me. Really helped get

me going.

Glad you're here; hope you keep posting. <smile> Cinzia

I was addicted to sugar until I started reading the book The Sugar Addict's

Recovery Program. I have begun perimenopause and was looking up symptoms I have

been having and that led me to this book. WOW!!! I am a vegetarian and I am on

step 1 and 2. Journaling is still hard for me, especially the physical and

emotional feeling stuff. I do drink a protein shake in the morning. I never

would eat breakfast before. The getting enough protein in still a hard one for

me. I love the veggie burgers and chicken alternatives but I also work shift

work and it is hard to schedule meals and not snack. So I have been working

step 1 and 2 for about 6 weeks. I am so grateful to have this support group and

finally got brave enough to post. I love reading all your messages about what

and how to eat. I don't know if I will ever be off sugar all together but I am

just taking it step at a time. Thanks for listening.

Welcome, Christine!  I'm a veg also.  Tempeh, lentils and tofu are high in

protein, beans and nuts of course.  I've been thinking alot about the protein

content -- how we have to have that same amount of protein at each meal.  One

step at a time...Anne

Hello

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Christine I am 49 and I never thought I

was addicted to sugar until I started reading the book The Sugar Addict's

Recovery Program. I have begun perimenopause and was looking up symptoms I have

been having and that led me to this book. WOW!!! I am a vegetarian and I am on

step 1 and 2. Journaling is still hard for me, especially the physical and

emotional feeling stuff. I do drink a protein shake in the morning. I never

would eat breakfast before. The getting enough protein in still a hard one for

me. I love the veggie burgers and chicken alternatives but I also work shift

work and it is hard to schedule meals and not snack. So I have been working step

1 and 2 for about 6 weeks. I am so grateful to have this support group and

finally got brave enough to post. I love reading all your messages about what

and how to eat. I don't know if I will ever be off sugar all together but I am

just taking it step at a time.

Thanks for listening.

Hi Christine, welcome! I have shake for my breakfast too. Lately I've been

having my brown on the side in the form of hot cereal. It's my favorite meal of

the day, I think :). Are you able to get enough protein at breakfast? You

mention veggie burgers and chicken, which are typically later meals (though not

always) and are later steps in the process, so I thought I'd ask.

Taking the program one step at a time is the way to go! I didn't know if I'd

ever be able to get off sugar when I found the program either, it's hard to

imagine life without in the beginning--it fills such a big part of our lives

then. Yet, here I am 8 years later still sugar free and loving it :). You'll

get there too.

Hello,

I am new on this site. I live in Florida, and am new to vegetarian living. My

son has been vegetarian for about 3 years, and he makes some delicious suppers!

I have decided to join him for health reasons, and also I just like the

dishes. My daughter is in college, and works part-time at the cafe in a natural

foods store. She has made some really wonderful things. This has been

inspirational to me. She can look at recipes, and immediately see how she can

make it work for many special diets.

I am a good cook, but I want to cook delicious things that are healthier and

vegetarian.

I am happy to be here, and hope to learn ansd share with you all.

Julia
