Dear Devi Singh ji, A spiritually inclined 9th house; a bit disturbed 7th house; some special combination that point to spirituality (such as a 4 planet combination; some combination indicating moksha etc etc) - all such things when combined with dasa and environment promotes a horoscope, then the native become spiritually inclined and gains success in it. By the way let me refer to a connected point. Salvation (Moksha) is not only defined by the efforts that the native puts, the ultimate say on the same is controlled by the "Final Death Moment" itself. (Remember the story of someone remembering gods name at the moment of death and attaining salvation - that demands both effort and luck). Divinity and Moksha are all at times irrational. Let me point to the death/birth time combination that points to moksha . Shashtashtama kantakago gurur uccho bhavati Meena lagne va, Janmani marane va moksha gatimahu [if Jupiter is exalted in 6th, 8th or 12th or in 7th (kantaka) from lagna; or if the death happens while it is Pisces sign and Jupiter placed there then Moksha can be predicted. This applies to both birth and death] There could be some typo related to the above quote (I am reciting it from memory). The sloka is from Laghu Jataka of Mihira I think (need to refer). Others may have some other informative inputs on this subject.Love and regards,Sreenadh , devisigh <devisingh.rajput wrote:>> Dear All,> > Any Person may want to be engage him/her in Spiritual Practice to gain > power/salvation what are factors required for success and failure for > such Persons??> > ------------------> Regards,> Devisingh>

Dear Shivani ji, If such a combination is present at the time of your birth, good - you have a possibility. But for it to manifest finally, such a combination should be present at the time of your DEATH (Thus in case of death the said quote is not about natal chart, but about the TRANSIT chart). Or in other words, if such a combination is present at the DEATH CHART or if such a combination is present in the PRASHNA CHART (done of judge whether the dead native will attain moksha or not) - then the astrologer tells to the relatives that the native attained "Moksha Gati". Dear Sreenadh ji,

Namaste.

Yes, i do appreciate it cant be due to just one or 2 combinations. I was just

laughing at myself.. it is jupiter in 8H MD, so inevitably thoughts of the other

world do arise.

Also my 9L is AK sun, placed in kendra yuti ketu venus and mercury, Sun is also

vargottama.

Current transits, jupiter moving to pisces on 2nd may 2010, so i was laughing at

myself, saying,, the time is right, so do i get my exit papers ready?.

Of course, i know, that is not likely to happen until all karmic debts are

cleared during my Shani MD..

What a pity, I shall have to wait till jupiter does his rounds again in pisces

in 12 Years time..

I also believe that it ultimately the grace of God that prevails..

warmest regards

Dear All,

Namaste,

I am sorry if my remmarks about death, seem flippant to you.

I appreciate, Sreenadh's comments that the death chart and death prashna can

give the death information more accurately.

However in the natal birthchart, there must be some hints too that indicate some

probability.

Death for some can be an uncomfortable topic, but i see it as a very natural

progession of the soul. perhaps it is even a different level of conciousness,

like being asleep or comatose etc.

Pain and sufferings are all due to mind and body, where body is discared, does

the mind exist?

The atma moves on to its next destination, hopefully it is a better place.

warmest regards

Dear Sreenadji and Sheevaniji,

I was examining some deaths of major spiritual personalities.

One major perequisites for not taking birth again ( according to Shastra's ) is that the soul should depart during the bright half of the year ( Jan to June ) during the bright fortnight ( waxing moon ) etc.

However there is one verse in the Bhagvat Gita when Lord Krishna says :

O Arjuna know that what ever you see living or non living, is due to the interactions of the 3 three modes on prakriti ( material nature ) and the one who sees this ( the soul ) is imperishable. Those who know of this, in whatever situation they are, will never take birth again.

This is not a literal translation but what i understood.

So this is the Visa test to pass for the one way ticket.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Chiranjiv ji,

Namaste.

///Yes mind does exist unless you lose it beforehand.///

Haha , loved it! Hope u are not seriously suggesting I should start to lose my

marbles just yet!!

Unfortunately my experience is the mind gets younger and sharper as the body

ages...

I feel in youth, one has so many commitments, expectations and responsiblities,

one is too busy in the " rat-race " to think beyond immediate needs of one own

circle.

With age, the children etc are too busy with the " rat-race " , so it is excellent

time to reflect on life's experiences and the mind trully blooms..U see life

from a different perspective..with " new eyes " ... the world seems a much more

pleasant place, and it is surely a great loss, not to at least try and

understand and enjoy its vibrancy.

U get a bird's eye view, of a world, full of contadictions, full of all kinds of

people, each with different outlooks, talents and personalities, the good, bad

and the questionable.. every kind of divides, race, colour, religion, language,

status... there are weddings, births and also funerals, yet despite all these

divisions, everyone seems to be in such hurry,, but for what? ....the world goes

on unperturbed by people or events...

What is the thread/bond/energy that keeps this chaotic world going?

Somehow you slowly become the spectator of life, rather than the active

participant.

Why do people fear death? Do they fear no longer being part of " this tapestry

called life on earth "

For me, death is just the incubation period, before the atma blooms into another

form, just like a beautiful butterfly, pupates. from a caterpillar..

warmest regards

//Why do people fear death? Do they fear no longer being part of " this

tapestry

called life on earth " //

Yes however much anyone may say that " I have got fed up of my Life "

.... " I want to end my Life " ... " I dont wish to live anymore " ... " Oh God

lift me up please " ..... in actual reality no one wishes to die, because

all of us are in fact - enjoying living .

The mind is never lost, before death or after death. The actual mind is

not knowing names of friends or objects of this Life. The actual mind is

knowing fear and Love.

The newborn baby who does not recognise his mother or father, but he

recognises Love, the feed of Milk and Fear- all these aspects. Why ?

Because he carries his mind alongwith from eternity which has always

known what is Love, and fear both. A 1 year old may have no mind to know

what is good or bad, or logistics, but his mind knows fear when you

shout at him loudly, and he runs away crying to his mothers lap...

The mind thus is never lost- the Universal Mind as well as the

Individual Mind , but the temporary mind which is created just for a

singular birth, is definitely lost after the body burns away. Here the

individual mind means recognising through vibrations the friends and

foes of the past births.. The temporary mind means the mind which knows

about this Group, the Owner, which knows Bhaskar, Sreenadhji, Sridevi,

Vinod Khanna, Amitabh Bachhan etc. which is all related to this Birth.

rgrds/Bhaskar.

Dear Sheevani Ji,

// Why do people fear death? Do they fear no longer being part of "this tapestry called life on earth"For me, death is just the incubation period, before the atma blooms into another form, just like a beautiful butterfly, pupates. from a caterpillar. //

Conquering the Fear of Death is the Final Frontier. As long as even the slightest remnant of Ego survives in our consciousness, Fear of Death (at the moment of Death) is inevitable. Only persons who have relinquished all sense of Ego can remain Fearless at the Time of Death, since the Fear is one of the Ego, which Fears the destruction of the Vehichle (Body) through which it operates.

-Manoj

Conquering the fear of Death is not so easy at it seems...

Primarily one has to be very good in his duties towards his family

members. That is doing his duties perfectly to the best optimum

performance capable by that man in providing good educations to his

children and financial security for at least few years, to the

dependents he leaves at any time if he has to die.

Secondarily he has to be so good, as to worship The Lord he worships, in

whatever forms he worships, through Japa, Dhyaan, Kriya or whatever path

he has chosen, that a bond is formed between him and His God and he

starts perceiving His Divine presence all around him and can converse

with his through the mind and receive the replies also through the mind

or indications manifested in any which way around him through Omens or

whatever means.

If the above two are completed in a good measure, Then and only Then,

Does a Man actually Conquers the Fear of Death....

Any arguments ?

best wishes,

Bhaskar.

Dear Manoj ji,

I would like to argue on this ( Not much- because I like you, so just

little)

Remove the Ego from a man who has not been able to perform his duties to

the satisfaction of his family members at all. Even if he is humbled as

to feel like a Donkey, which means not a trace of Ego is left in him,

yet he would not like to die BUT fear of having to die, because he would

look for few years more, so as to once again attempt to do something for

his family members and make them content and become content himself in

the process....

I can give more such examples.

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskar ji,

Namaste.

Can anybody work towards the total satisfaction of the other persons, eg family

members???

Do we not see that financial provisions(especially large amounts) become a

battleground for the family,, some stoop so lowly means to gain advantage??

I wholeheartedly agree some provision must be made, but i think ensuring the

spouse/kids have the right skills to make good decisions for indepandant living

is more useful.

They will have their own values, standards and expectations and use those as

their yardsticks of measure.

I think an individual can only gain satisfaction when he accepts that HE has

done everything her could to the best of his ability, given his strengths

weaknessness and his circumstances.. this is how contentment arises out of self

acceptance. The person doesnt think he is perfect, but he accepts himself as

s/he is..

The journey ahead no longer frightens him, as death is just another part of the

souls journey.

warmest regards

Sheevani

No. Nobody can. What I actually meant is what You have written below....

This is what I wanted to say, but could not express myself, and

thankfully you did it for me...

Dear Sheevani ji,

If I may intervene....since I like what is written so far under this thread,

The other side of FEAR is non-attachment. It is attachment which causes fear in

us....the fear of losing what we hold in esteem/greed, which includes attachment

to our lives as well. We should LET GO of everything to get rid of FEAR.....Of

course I fear I am far away from this target!

blessings,

Renu

Dear Manoj ji,// As long as even the slightest remnant of Ego survives in our consciousness, Fear of Death (at the moment of Death) is inevitable. Only persons who have relinquished all sense of Ego can remain Fearless at the Time of Death, since the Fear is one of the Ego, which Fears the destruction of the Vehichle (Body) through which it operates.//

Kindly refer to history; how many happily embraced death just because of EGO. Hadn't there been ego, there would had been no reason to die (voluntary death).

Conquering the Fear of Death is the Final Frontier. As long as even the slightest remnant of Ego survives in our consciousness, Fear of Death (at the moment of Death) is inevitable. Dear Chiranjiv ji,Namaste.///Yes mind does exist unless you lose it beforehand./ //Haha , loved it! Hope u are not seriously suggesting I should start to lose my marbles just yet!!Unfortunately my experience is the mind gets younger and sharper as the body ages...

I feel in youth, one has so many commitments, expectations and responsiblities, one is too busy in the " rat-race " to think beyond immediate needs of one own circle. With age, the children etc are too busy with the " rat-race " , so it is excellent time to reflect on life's experiences and the mind trully blooms..U see life from a different perspective. .with " new eyes " ... the world seems a much more pleasant place, and it is surely a great loss, not to at least try and understand and enjoy its vibrancy.

U get a bird's eye view, of a world, full of contadictions, full of all kinds of people, each with different outlooks, talents and

personalities, the good, bad and the questionable. . every kind of divides, race, colour, religion, language, status... there are weddings, births and also funerals, yet despite all these divisions, everyone seems to be in such hurry,, but for what? ....the world goes on unperturbed by people or events...

What is the thread/bond/ energy that keeps this chaotic world going?Somehow you slowly become the spectator of life, rather than the active participant. Why do people fear death? Do they fear no longer being part of " this tapestry called life on earth "
