Dear astrologers:

I again had a snake dream again around 5 days back where I was there with

Dear Mr.Dev,

As per your horoscope if you will sleep in right posture and take some water or

milk before going on bed you will be in tendency to see such type of dreams. If

it is so plz change your posture to left and take water minimum one hour before

going on bed.You should not take milk, ice cream and  cold drinks at night hours.

If you will follow the above you will find change in your dreams. May god bless

you.

Watching snakes in dream is just like any other dream, please don't read too

much into it. What if in the coming nights you dream about

Nehru,Gandhi,Aishwarya, Ravana, Lalu etc, and someone slaps you, someone gives

you Rose, someone gives you abuses and then someone kisses you ??????

Dear Teacher Archita Khera,Karan Kumari...I will take your curse as God's

blesings. Which scripture is taught by you in your school, or during your part

time jyotish learning, about the dreams , please just name ony one?

Do you also dream and would you like to share, if you ever had any good/ill/bad

efect after the dream,in the mornings or in the night itself ? If so, can you

also give explanatory notes ? Now don't take it as fun of any of your feelings.

As it is, I have been facing only troubles, since my birth, so any fresh

trouble/curse from anyone is a welcome addition in my vast treasure of bad

karmas.I can only send you my love and best wishes, because I have never cursed

anyone.Shall wait for your teaching.

I agree. I was told if you dream of Snakes, it has to do with Shiv Ji.

Therefore, when I used to have these dreams. It was recommended I go to to pray

to Lord Shiva at a temple, and pour milk on him and ask for his guidance and I

did.

Kind Regards,

Dear Raj Bahadur & others,

Though it is not my intention to interfere in this exchange or to create fear

psychosis in anything and every thing a person goes through in day to day life,

I cannot help notice your comment

//Which scripture is taught by you in your school, or during your part

time jyotish learning, about the dreams , please just name ony one? //

There are many scriptures that has provided detailed account of dreams and their

significance. One of them is Prashna Marga written about a thousand years back.

There are others also.

Now if you study carefully, dreams are studied as part of Nimitha etc to

indicate some outcome. This is only one use . Study of dreams is also part of

Medicine - Both Ayurveda & Homeopathy. In fact this linking of dreams with

medical condition and tripartite agreement with planets is what makes its study

more useful with regard to Astrology & interesting to astrologers and human

kind.

To understand & " feel " " Nimithas " & " lalshanas " one has to grow beyond the

text books & particularly that of Horashastras.

I shall make a suggestion: next time when some tells about their dreams, take a

prashna (udaya lagna is enough) and try to analyse the situation and provide

your opinion. Look at the 12th house in Particular.

Why the 12th house, Shenoy_ji? :-)

I thought the 12th was about SLEEP and its quality.

I have heard that the 4th and 5th from the 12th hold the kunjees to dreams which

are the products of sleep and the milieu in which dreams find their home!

Sorry -- no scriptural evidence for that!

Kunjee in pedestrian hindi means: KEY, as you know of course!

When I first began learning jyotish, I was overjoyed to find all these bunches

of KEYs! Soon enough, I arrived at the passage where Parashara talks about us

mandabuddhi Kaliyugi jyotishis where he introduced ashtakavarga! I was very

young and the imagery of Parashara and Maitraya laughing at us all (at our

expense!) was disheartening to a teenager, I must admit!

Parashara (BPHS) does not refer to KEYS as such but to DOORS, for sure! That was

a useful KEY, once the teenager recomposed himself and began studying again...

*Bolt* is a very strange word in english, Dada!

It means on the one hand, a noun that prevents escape...

and on the other hand, " BOLT! " in its verb-action form means 'Run for your

life!'

Staying is a lot more 'fun', trust me than running away like sadly many HERMITS

choose as their VERB! The first chance they get to excuse themselves...!!

Regards,

Rohiniranjan

Rohini ji,

12th house is called " shayana " which has wider implication than " sleep " alone.

It is everything that is related with sleep including dreams.

As for the 4th house from 12th, this depends on how the prasna was put.

If the prashna is regarding the person as a whole (which normally is the case &

should be), the 12th should be considered & 4th from is also considered since

4th is the mana sthana. However if the prashna is regarding the dream

specifically, Lagna & 4th from should be considered. This does not in any way

mean that only these signs need be looked at. In fact all the signs/ planets

relationship need be considered but focused on these signs.

I am not very sure of the 5th house you had mentioned.

Classics have classified dreams into 7 categories and 5 types has been stated to

be irrelevant. They have linked planets, illness etc with various types of

dreams.

Later Homeopathy also mentions dreams as symptoms of various medicines. I have

seen my younger sister (a homeopath) asking patients about their dreams.

Re: snake in dream

Why the 12th house, Shenoy_ji? :-)

I thought the 12th was about SLEEP and its quality.

I have heard that the 4th and 5th from the 12th hold the kunjees to dreams which

are the products of sleep and the milieu in which dreams find their home!

Sorry -- no scriptural evidence for that!

Dear astrologers,

Plz do not challenge any body regarding best of your knowledge and belief about

any question. You plz be humble and share best your experience based suggestions

not only literary based,so that the actual relief could be provided to the

sufferer.Every body Like Respected Raj,RR and others share their experience

regarding this question. This is a matter of research that why a person see

snakes in dreams during his/her sleep.

As per astrology some astrologers define 4th,5th and 12th house roll regarding

dreams,as the 4th house related to mind,12th to shayana (sleep) and 5th to

vision by inner eye.The lords of these houses are major part of horoscope to

work upon this issue.

Now a want to discuss some valuable beyond this.I am sharing the experience of

my life regarding dreams during our sleep. There is a very logical science behind

it.There are many many factors regarding different types of dreams but I want to

discuss about the dreams related to snakes only.As per ancient forecasters when

a person see a white snake and see that the snake has make a bite and there is

some blood on that part.the result of such dream will give good reward to the

dreamer in near future life. There is not mentioned the reason behind it.

I again make my humble request that we have some literature of astrology and

other such sciences even in medical sciences also where the research ends at the

unknown truth behind it.As per medical science no cause of cancer has been

searched till now but they are trying to remove it with the unconventional

method like burning the skin by advanced radiotherapy etc.I mean there is a lack

of research in the medical science till now.

Do you know what is the major reason behind it? No we don't know the correct

reason, because we are living in this world at mental stage. No finding regarding

truth is possible with out the help of sixth sense..We have heard about sixth

sense but very few know about the sixth sense and non of have the experience of

sixth sense. Then how can be able to find the truth.

Now I want to share my own experience about watching the snakes in my dreams.I

put this question to a Hath Yogi in Haridwar. He immediately ask me that your

sleeping in right posture at night and don't take milk and cold drinks or ice

cream at night and take simple water one hour before going on bed.It was quite

right with his saying that I was making these mistakes  since many months and

when I followed that sage I get relief in five days and till now since two and a

half year past I have not experience such type of dreams.

I have posted a message before it regarding to share my advice to Mr.Dev but I

found no comment upon it till now. That's why I am sharing my experience again to

all the members of group. Now you will be curious to know the truth behind it.I

will must share it with the logical reply of that sage in next post.

I am not too sure what it means to have a snake in dream, but I do know

snakes(cobra ofcourse) are a big part of hindu mythology ..You see Lord Shankar

with 5 snakes wrapped around his body, even the Shiv Ling is protected by a

snake, and all time Lord Vishnu is seen lying comfortably on a bed made of

snakes..

Friends,

what matters the timing of dreams any dream of early morning hours after2 in the

night are stated to have significance.

Normally Rahu's intervention as part of dasa gives dreams. Most of the dreams

reportd related to either tigers or Nagdevata.

Those staying near to rivers ,water logs and amid green surrroundings report

dreams seeing snakes.

other near temples of Goddesses and forest areas, hillocks report seeing tigers

and cubs in dreams. In some cases it if rahu in 11th house and in others 3rd

Respected Vattem Sir,I am not joking. But I am telling you reality that I used to

get letter sent by my Bua Ji(Smt.Usha Rani Misra) from Bird Dog Drive,Missouri

City,TX,U.S.A, just after one or two days when ever I dreamt of a

snake(Cobra). It is very difficult to relate dream with any event of life.

With thanks & regards,

Dear Krishna ji,

As stated earlier, only two type of dreams are considered to be of significance.

Those are that occur without any relevant connection with known circumstances

while awake. Ie: a person who lives very to forest area might be in constant

fear of snakes & wild animals. So the dreams related to such animals are not

significant.

However, if a otherwise normal person who does not have any such connections

Ex: who lives in metro cities and have rarely seen a snake, dreams of snakes or

wild animals, then it could signify something. If you have seen a snake in the

day time and dreamt of it, it is nothing but a reflection of the mind- what you

actually saw which got connected with your inner subconscious fears.

It could be illness, Satru badha(enmity), death and in some cases even

protection. At times these dreams speak of actual afflictions in the chart of a

person. It is in fact a gift - to know ones afflictions through dreams. It is

sign to correct that affliction.

A few months back I had posted a real prashna case which included the

interpretation of dream & nimitha.

One should learn to interpret dreams which is easy always. In the case of dev,

his saw his friend being attacked by snake- not him. So it does not affect him

directly, but his close friends could be victimized or in danger.

Once I had to participate in an Ashtamangala Prashna ( a 3 day event) at a

temple supposed to that of Lord Krishna. On the early hours I dreamt of two

tigers approaching me but soon realised that they did not intend to attack me. I

woke up. Later that day during the prashna (Vrischika Aruda with Jupiter in

Lagna & Mars in the 5th) it was established that the temple originally belonged

to Durga and there is another Badra Kali also there like two sisters. The tigers

I saw were the Vahana of devi and was actually telling me about their presence

there.

In another incidence, a few years back I used to dream of heavy destruction by

water. In a months period, I practically lost everything during stormy rains

with winds speed at more than 100klm per hr. Off coarse, I recovered everything

much faster than thought it could be by the grace of god. It was a situation I

predicted & argued with another well known astrologer almost 3 years before the

incidence.

There were lot of other dreams that did not had any significance at all. It is

very tricky and sometimes very difficult also.

I have written this not to create a phobia and let every member start posting

their dreams on the forum, but to gently show that there could be some

significance in some of them.

Friends,

what matters the timing of dreams any dream of early morning hours after2 in the

night are stated to have significance.

In some cases it if rahu in 11th house and in others 3rd

house. Also dasas conncted with Moon/Rahuu or Rahu/moon and and pratyanatar rahu

I am not too sure what it means to have a snake in dream, but I do know

snakes(cobra ofcourse) are a big part of hindu mythology ..You see Lord Shankar

with 5 snakes wrapped around his body, even the Shiv Ling is protected by a

snake, and all time Lord Vishnu is seen lying comfortably on a bed made of

snakes..

Yes, Dada, I have heard of that too, only I was told that around 2 hours prior

to sunrise was a specially 'prophetic' zone (for want of a more suitable term).

So much fascinating stuff to follow up!

Thanks for sharing.
