Triniboy108 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 What do you think is a necessity for Shakti worshippers? Which goddesses should we have in our home shrines? How should we position them? Right now we have Lakshmi, Durga, and Saraswati, and hopefully soon i'll be getting a Kali Mai picture also

sunilsahota 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2008 A mandir can be set up in the West or East direction. My mandir houses a Marble murti of my Kuldevi (Kali) in the middle. Khodiyaar maa my Ishta on the left and Amba, the orginal shakti on the right.

Your shrine sounds very nice and simple at the same time This is how my families shrine is set up: Durga(and soon to be Kali as well), Ganesh, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Shiva, Skanda(Kartikeya), Hanuman I don't believe that my family has a Kuldevata or Kuldevi, and my mind has been ever changing on my Ishta Devata/Devi between Shiva and Durga/Kali
