Disciplic Successions: Same Movement

Rate this topic

Spiritual understanding of being one united family full of loving affection for each other although there're different acaryas - could be possible if there wouldn't be kali-yuga right now.:kick:

"There are Sampradayas: Brahma-Sampradaya, Kaumara-Sampradaya… Anyone who is bona fide acarya, he can create his own disciplic succession, but one disciplic succession and the other disciplic— they are not different. They are of the same conclusion.

The Vaishnava acaryas, just like our Ramanujacarya, Madhvacarya, and Nimbarka, and Rudra-Sampradaya, Vishnuswami. They are all of the same movement. Aradhyo-bhagavan vrajesa-tanayaḥ, krsnas tu bhagavan svayam. That is their conclusion. There is no different conclusion. Although they have got varieties of methods— Suddhadvaita, Dvaitadvaita, Vasisṭadvaita, like that—they present the same philosophy in clear way. And Caitanya Mahaprabhu presented the same philosophy, that acintya-bhedabheda. That is acarya. Acarya gives some way for simple understanding. The same conclusion, but according to the time, circumstances, they give a very easy method to understand. That is acarya. Acarya is following strictly the previous acarya, but according to the circumstances, he may make little changes. That is… That change is not change from the original idea. No."

Don't tell me, I don't give a damn, next stop is aparadha nama

And it's five, six, seven, open up the temple gates; We're all gonna bloop!

Yeee Haw!!!!:crying2:

You had to be there to catch Beggar's joke. Or be an extra cool young turk like Murali.

I feel mayik,

Oh, so mayik,

I feel mayik and witty and bright!

And I pity

Any prabhu who isn't me today.

The Material World is charming,

Oh, so charming

It's alarming how charmed I feel!

And so Mayik

That I hardly can believe the Material World is real.

See the pretty girl in over there:

Who can that attractive girl be?

Such a pretty face,

Such a pretty dress,

Such a pretty smile,

Such a pretty Maya-devi!

I feel stunning

And entrancing,

Feel like running and dancing for joy,

For I'm loved

Because I’ve become a dancing doll, a boy toy!

Have you met my good friend Dasa,

The craziest Prabhu on the block?

You'll know him the minute you see him,

He's the one who is in an advanced state of shock.

He thinks he's dreaming in Goloka.

He is really in pain.

He isn't in ecstacy,

He's merely insane. :D

Are these free flowing or do you have them pre-scripted Beggar? You can't be that quick can you?

But on point it is a wonderful realization that it's all about the disciplic conclusion and not the dress rituals and assorted other traditions that make up the parampara. Then we can go back to evaluating teachers and teachings bases on content rather than "whose yer daddy" or what matha do you belong to type of criteria.

We even start to hear the parampara in bits and pieces influencing other religions and schools of thought and that helps us realize that their is only one reservoir of all transcendental knowledge and that same Supreme Lord lives in the hearts of everysoul and teachs from that hidden place.

I believe this to be the basis of nonsectarian realization.

The head gets so big

And I know it all

And they, well they know nada

'n' I ain't talkin' Advaita.

I just know that they're

Well they're just nowhere

Apasiddhantic fallen mayik country Joe.

That's when I just

Hate them so.

I sublimate all the anger

From all that fun I've foregone

To search and not to find -

Seems I've lost my mind.

But I can hate them,

And spurn them and cast

Aspersions, contempt, dissent,

Aparadha abound around -

And drown in my misery

Not alone.

So there!
