  2. Yes, A devottee is always happy. Think of being a devottee to Krishna.....isn't the person happy being a devottee. His mind gets satisfaction when chanting than when doing any other thing. He/she starts getting out of Maya by becoming a true devottee. And by getting out of Maya, he gets the glory of Krishna.

My idea="A true devottee is always happy"

If I am wrong, I am sorry, and please say me about it.

    Thank-you

"One who assumes the dress and position of an acharya (and) who speaks against the conclusion of the Srimad Bhagavatam and other scriptures . . . certainly goes to hell for countless lifetimes along with his disciples and whoever else hears such non-devotional talks." Hari-bhakti-vilasa 1.101

    Hare Krishna.........

    Local Discussion:

Who is less intelligent? Women who put much effort in beautifying themselves to attract men, or the men who chase after such women?

No one is intelligent. they dont get the glory of Lord Krishna. They go on doing their own karma but dont think about their next life.

    I think they are foolish.

One who falls in loving Lord Krishna - is intelligent.

My favorite prayer at this time is rather simply. It goes like this, "HELP! Help me Lord. Please help me."

It is not very refined but it is my most sincere.

What do we hope to gain from prayer? Is it just presenting the Lord with a list of things we hope He will do for us? Or is it a way of trying to remain in constant communication with the Lord, a way of simply entering and staying in His presence?

There are many many prayers offered by devotees in the Srimad Bhagavatam and vaisnava bhajanas. We could pick any of those that we are attracted to and recite them daily as a means of glorifying the Lord and meditating on their meaning.

Along side the chanting of Hare Krsna such a practice would be very good indeed.

    Thank-you

I've been listening to Hare Krishna Radio online. They were saying "If you like to cook. Cook for Krishna. If you like to do business. Do business for Krishna."

When I was a Buddhist I was taught that I can help people, heal people, teach people.. for the Buddha but I dont have to preach the Buddha to do it.

    Is this same with Krishna?

    Namaskar,

When you do any thing, you should keep your mind in Lord Krishna. Whatever you do, you should first take the name of Krishna.

Your every work should involve Krishna and Krishna should always be in your mind.

  8. Namaskar,

Today is Nirjala Ekadashi. And I am keeping it. But I am not sure about what foods are allowed to eat in this Ekadashi.

I think that fruits, vegetables and milk are allowed. But is water allowed?

Although I am not taking water and eating fruits and milk only.

Can anyone help me by giving the information on what foods are allowed in this Ekadashi and break my confusion.

    Thank-you.........
