  1. why do you want to take things into your own hand?? Lord Krishna mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita that he will come down to Earth in the human form whenever there is a decline in righteousness and religion...in the Srimad Bhagavatam it is mentioned that Lord Krishna will come in the form on Kalki in the near end of the Kalyug Age...If Lord Krishna has thought of all this then why worry about the problem of not many americans (as you suggest Allen) being attracted to Krishna Consciousness... Lord Krishna is watching everything...he had predicted all this ages ago...that in the Kalyug age there will be a decline in righteous, honesty etc and people will start acting like demons... Just leave things as they are...if you can attract non-believers to the Hare Krishna movement by abiding to the RULES STATED IN THE BHAGAVAD GITA (DIRECTLY FROM THE SUPREME LORD) then go ahead...if you have to go against Lord Krishna so that you can attract non-believers then my friend i am sure the non-believers will laugh at you for going against the Lord you dearly love... Jay Shree Krishna
  2. Well said Anand.... Lord Krishna has given Allen a chance of a life time... to associate with devotees, be able to go to the temple everyday, read Prabhupada's books... i consider him to be very very lucky... The mind and senses given to him in this human life are certainely taking over him (the soul) and i know what ever he has been saying is due to his attachement with the material senses therefore i cannot jugde the real him (excluding senses) as Lord Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita that we should all look at the sinners and wellwishers with an equal vision and we should not get angry when provoked... All i know is that Allen is knowingly commiting sins and the devotees are just trying to show him the right path...he has made this thread to look as if he is the right one and all the other devotees are wrong...that is not fair..he is insulting Lord Krishna....he should be greatful that even after commiting sins, the doors to Lord Krishna's heart for him is still open... All i want to clear up is the idea of him claiming that the devotees are bad people...i know i shouldnt bother wasting my time like Airicky suggested but i still think it is necessary... Dont commit sins knowingly...that is the highest of sins... I know your tired of all those 'Dont do this, dont do that'..but that is the truth and the truth is usually always painful... Jay Shree Krishna
  3. The replies by the devotees were not to hurt your feelings or offend you....I belive that they were only saying 'give up meat etc' so that YOU dont have to pay back in your next life...i'm talking about karma.... They are just looking out for you Allen please dont take it to heart if someone keeps on saying the same thing over and over again and you start getting tired of it...its the same with parents isnt it...they will keep on saying 1 thing over n over n over again to the child...like eat broccoli everyday because its good for the health....The parents wont get anything out of telling the child to eat broccoli but INSTEAD it will help the child because its good for the health... Am sorry if you think i am interfering in your thread etc...i dont mean to offend you...just want you to know that Lord Krishna's devotees only want the wellfare of others and they love everyone because Lord Krishna is within the heart of every soul.... Jay Shree Krishna
  4. I was wondering...who is the person from Tanzania??? Its strange that not many people from Africa have been visting...
  5. Very well said...thank you!! Jay Shree Krishna
  6. Jay Shree Krishna.... I was just wondering whether Lord Krishna's pleasure energy (Srimati Radharani) came down to earth in the form of Sita when Lord Krishna incarnated as Lord Rama... Because when i was reading the Ramayana, the writer kept on mentioning that Sita is a pure goddess and is extremely precious to Lord Rama...so i thought so much love and attraction for Sita ji may be because that is Lord Krishna's pleasure energy...or maybe not...i dont know...if that is the case then does Lord Krishna's pleasure energy always come down to earth when Lord Krishna comes??? But then again Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that he is in one sense everywhere...he is in his abode but he also at the present moment with Arjuna...so then that means that Lord Krishna's pleasure energy is always with him and it is not that matter of Srimati Radharani coming down to earth only when Lord Krishna comes.... Im confused...Can anyone give me a true answer?
  7. Birth control delays the time for which the living entity can reunite with the supreme lord...this human birth for the living entity may just be the FINAL ONE and the person taking birth control pills,i.e the mother is depriving that lost soul...if that is not a sin then what is??? If the mother did not want to have a child then why did she carry out intercourse in the first place?!!

  10. 'What goes around, comes around'...If a person takes birth control pills and indirectly (may i say) kills the developing body of a yet to be born baby within the womb, then that same person in the next life will have to go through the same process and be aborted in a harsh way and then will be transported into a new body...

  17. hello, i have signed the petition...i am very pleased that at least someone is taking the matter into their own hands and trying to save dharma...its not a matter on hinduism...its a matter of 'every soul has a right to go to a temple and worship the supreme lord (lord krishna)' so i think all devotees should sign the petition keeping in mind that we are all souls and therefore we all have an equal right to get a chance to worship our supreme lord, our father...afterall this life is extremely miserable...where else can lord's servant go to find happiness?....answer is temple...so sign the petition Jay Shree Krishna:)

  19. Found on news website: One week ago when the Sankat Mochan Temple at Varanasi was bombed by the followers of 'compassionate Islam', I used very parliamentary language and described the unprovoked attackers as Green Doves. Now comes the news about White Pigeons of Peace from Kota in Rajasthan. I am pained to note that a blasphemous book called 'HAQEEQAT' has been published in Rajasthan and that it has denigrated Hindu deities in a very uncivilized manner. Haqeeqat (The Reality), a substandard evangelical book in Hindi, written by M C Mathew, and published by Dr D M Thomas and Samuel Thomas of Emmanuel Literature Society, was a source of major tension in Kota, Rajasthan recently. The book contains many vulgar references to Lord Ram and Krishna, Hindu saints like Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Satya Sai Baba, Ma Amritanandamayi, Digambar Jain saints, in addition to objectionable reference to Ganga, Vande Mataram, and Arya Samaj, ISKCON etc. The book is subtitled as an analytical study of 'Bunch of Thoughts' by Guru Golwalkar. BJP and Shiv Sena members of the Lok Sabha brought the Parliament to a standstill. They requested the Government to come out with the facts. As expected, the pseudo-secular leaders of the Left and Congress Party, leaders who are famous for their attitude of 'LOVE ALL RELIGIOUS MINORITIES' and HATE ALL HINDUS in majority have questioned the timing of raising the matter in the immediate aftermath of the Varanasi blasts. These very pseudo-secular leaders maintained an attitude of stoic silence when the Sankat Mochan Temple in Varanasi was attacked by the terrorists. The attitude of leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Jothi Basu, Ram Vilas Paswan, etc. towards their ever-evolving and ever-revolving 'pseudo-secularism' can be summed up in the statement: 'Political trifles go to make the substance of pseudo-secularism. But pseudo-secularism is no trifle'. It is not therefore surprising that they are clutching at the self-chosen carcass of pseudo-secularism completely forgetting the spirit of 'true secularism'. The BJP Party's Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, has declared that he would not let the matter die as desired by the pseudo-secular men in the UPA Government and has stated: 'We will wait for the government's reaction to decide on the next step'. The Lok Sabha was adjourned abruptly on Thursday over the book allegedly published by a Christian missionary group that contained 'insulting remarks' against Hindu gods and goddesses. Raising the issue in the House during zero hour, Srichand Kriplani, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Kota, said the Emmanuel Mission, functioning in Kota, Rajasthan had been selling the book 'Haqeeqat', written by MJ Mathew, in which Lord Krishna, Goddess Saraswati and other Hindu gods had been maligned. The MP demanded a countrywide ban on the book, the arrest of its author and publisher and the closure of the publishing institution which he claimed was involved in 'anti-national activities'. Kripalani even tried to table the book, which was a Hindi translation of the English original, but was disallowed by the Speaker. It is reported that they Emmanuel Mission operating from Kota in Rajasthan for the past 21 years. In the past it has been accused of trying to convert people to Christianity. A Minister of Uttar Pradesh government who recently announced as a Taliban Terrorist a contract-killing money of Rs. 51 crores has been left undisturbed in his constitutional office. The 'anxieties´ and 'concerns´ of Christian community in Dang in Gujarat over Shabri Kumbh festival got the pride of prime space and place in the national media. But the outrage against scurrilous evangelical literature in Kota, Rajasthan against sacred Hindu Gods and Goddesses has virtually evaded nation's notice ably assisted and abetted by the mafia of mass media on the one hand and the pseudo-secular bosses in the parliament and Government in New Delhi on the other. At a time when the Muslims of India went up in arms for cartoons on Prophet Mohammed published by Jyellands-Posten in Denmark, Parliament condemned the cartoons. The editor of Senior India who had published them was arrested, and Muslim protest rallies were allowed to ventilate their ire on chosen Hindu shops in Hyderabad and the BJP office in Lucknow. I may not be wrong in concluding that both our Government in New Delhi and Parliament are there only to uphold the voice of minorities and the contemptible political cause of summary rejection of the voice of majority. On page 100 of the blasphemous book 'Haqeeqat' there are mischievous comments about Sri Ram: 'Ram´s wife Sita was taken away. She was left in forest according to wish of Ram. Later Ram permitted Laxman to kill Sita. This Laxman was defeated in fight by Ram, and later Ram disgusted with his life drowned himself in Saryu. All this happened with advice, consent and religious belief of half-naked sadhus of Hindutva'. On p.269 it says: 'In modern world many Ramas of this belief are living carefree. They marry several times, desert their wives, and leave them. Many Ramas kill their Sitas. They are following their god Rama.' On p.182-183 there are blasphemous comments about Arya Samaj which can make your blood boil: 'How could Arya Hindus bring Aryanisation on this earth. To be Arya, one has to be born in Arya womb. If Arya Hindus want to bring Aryanisation then they will must lend or rent out all Arya wombs to non-Aryans. Non-Aryans should be given Brahmin women so that children are born from Brahmin womb'. Only our pseudo-secular Government and Parliament will view these observations in this book as constitutional and secular, reflecting the urges, hopes and aspirations of those in minority! Balbir K Punj, Rajya Sabha MP and Convenor of BJP's think tank has given an effective and civilised (non-saffronised, truly secular!) rejoinder to M C Mathew and his friends: 'In Gospel, according to St Matthew (12:47-48) when a disciple of Jesus informs him that his mother and brother have come to meet him, Jesus says 'who is my mother, and who are my brethren'. In Western countries most parents end their life in old age homes, left by their children. One might then say, they owe their inspiration from Jesus, who refused to acknowledge his mother and brother, once he got popularity. Jesus himself has never said he was son of God, but always son of Man. To install Jesus as son of God was the work of First Council of Nicea held in 325 CE. But Hindus have never leveled such scurrilous charges against Jesus. Is this not enough to prove who is acting godly and who otherwise?' About the national song Vande Mataram 'Haqeeqat says: 'For India the only use of Sanskrit is by Hindutvawadis to sing Vande Mataram.' Perhaps for men like Mathew, Dr D M Thomas and Samuel Thomas, Vande Mataram is a blasphemous song. Perhaps it may be so even for some of the pseudo-secular elements at the highest levels of governance in New Delhi! But for millions and millions in India Vande Mataram is a wonderful hymn to Mother India, even Universal Motherhood, which is also enshrined in our Constitution as national song. Long after petty and small human beings like Sonia Gandhis, Arjun Singhs, Lalu and Mulayam Singh Yadavs, Paswans, and Somnath Chatterjees have gone into an ineluctable oblivion, the name of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and his immortal song Vande Mataram shall continue to reverberate across centuries for all time to come.
  20. I am going through the same dillema!!!! i thought i was the only person who would be experiencing it out of all Krishna bhagwan devotees...i am currently doing my A-Levels in the uk..i came to UK only for further studies from Africa, after finding Prabhupada's book called 'science of reincarnation' at my aunties house where i lived i was enlightened and thus started reading the bhagavad gita and many more books... all i want to do is go and sit in the temple, sing krishna bhagwan's songs and just be involved with krishna bhagwan's devotees...so i wanted to go to university and take up religious studies which would give me a chance to understand the bhagavad gita more thoroughly however my parents became angry and thought physiotheraphy or another science related course was the best thing and there is always time for religion and i cried and i cried and i still cry! because i dont want to waste my time involving in temporary things...but as krishna bhagwan said do your duty and dont think about happiness or pain to arjun in bhagawad gita..am just going to do the same...even though its not what i want...may be krishna bhagwan is guiding me on this path for a reason...i don't know...but what i dont understand is why parents like mine( whom are religious) think studies should come first and then religion...what if i die tomorrow? then i wont have time to study religion and associate with devotees....the thought is just killing me that what if i dont get to go home...to god head...i will have to go through another miserable life...what will i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. My microbiology teacher said that rennet are enzymes which are obtained from a cow's stomach....so if the cheese packaging has 'suitable for vegetarians's' written on it then you can consume it because it is a genetically engineered product; gene coding rennet is determined then gene is inserted into bacteria, bacteria populates and the cheese industry uses this type of rennet....so just watch out for V labels thats all Jay Shree Krishna
