I don't know much about her but clearly she was a very courageous woman. Ibelieve she was geninely motivated to work for the welfare of her people and surely knew she was putting her life at great risk to do so. So unlike our politicians here in America.

Here again was your statement for referrence. I don't know one way or the other. Mayavadis have hijack the Bhagavad-gita itself. Yes Theosophy from Madam Blavatski is Mayavadi. But that has nothing to do with if the Akashic records are genuine or not. Yes He may. Just like in our minds are held impressions and memories of our individual past experiences (micrcosom) so the Lord may hold a universal memory in His form as virata-rupa. I would be surprised if this was not the case. Perhaps devotees should not search there. I don't know. Some devotees may waste time in the local library. But one doesn't become a demon by searching there or going to the library. True It may be nonsense for you or I to think about anyone else's sins but not for a physchiatrist or a priest whose endeavor it is to help people through such problems. You are making a blanket statement that should be held to yourself alone. Are you aware of Edagar Cacye the Sleeping Prophet. He helped thousands by going into a sleeping trance and in that state was shown how to help and heal people. He got the information from the Akashic records and upon awaking from trance he himself had no memory of anything that happened. He was a simple Christian man, a Sunday school teacher who was used in that way. On Levi's work I have no opinion if it is all genuine or not. Although when you read of Jesus's teachings to the Jews and compare it to Matthew Mark John and Luke it is much clearer IMO. I just object to the calling of Akashic records "outright demonic mayavadi poison." The akashic records are just records of what has transpired good, bad and indifferent. A type of cosmic carbon paper if you will. This is a friendly challege Her Servant and I hope you don't read too much into it.

the incarnations of the Lord are innumerable,...
theist replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
OK that story bothers you. But you will admit bothering you is a lot different than than being opposed to to the teachings of Lord Krsna. Yes? -
And what is the fruit of Hare Krsna's in America? We have all been benefited but how many of us are there? And after just a couple decades it has been declining. So trying to compare the Hare Krsna movement's effects on the world since the 1960's and the influence of Christ (not christianity (the idiots amongst us will not be able to see a difference) over the last two thousand years makes little sense. Raghu your arguments are without merit in IMO.

the incarnations of the Lord are innumerable,...
theist replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Don't ignore the fact that shakyavesa avatars are given specific miszions to fulfill on behalf of the Lord. Kapila taught differently than Lord Buddha who out and out decried the vedas and the barbaric animal sacrifices prescribed therein and even taught there is no individual soul. Lord Jesus came to raise the Hebrews from their animal sacrificing woman stoning mudane religion into the religion of the soul composed of loving God and forgiving others while renouncing the material world. Prithu Maharaja was empowered in the matter of administration. Concerning your statement in bold above please show where in the gospels ( the four books containing the words of Christ) EXACTLY where you find these ideas that are opposed to the teaching of Lord Krsna. -

Yes it is that simple Rishi. Thanks for breaking it down. Kinda like breaking up a piece of bread into bite size pieces for the baby to eat. -
Various avatars of the Lord are continously appearing on planets all throughout the unlimited universes manifested from Vishnu just to preform some specific service to the Lord with the aim of reclaiming the fallen souls. How small minded it is for anyone on any planet in any universe to think that God only appears in their own little home tract of land. We need to crawl out of the little boxes that our consciousness is imprisioned by and develop a more universal way of thinking and view of reality.

This is true in a way. And curious enough it is a part of our jurdical system called jury nullification. The classic case for jury nullification would be a law that is clearly unfair as in a black man in the south in the early 20th century being tried for a murder even though he has a clear and justifiable alibi. There was a time when he easily could have been convicted and hung based solely on his skin color and the prejudice of his jury. All it would take is one honest person standing up and refusing to go along with it to block him from being found guilty. Or say a kid gets caught with a bag of pot. In Texas in the late sixties their was a celbrated case of some kid getting life sentence FOR A JOINT. It was allowable under the law. I could never go along with that law or not. All I did was reveal the truth about how I would act in the cicumstance I outlined. Others act from their prejudices and experiences and there is nothing that can be done about that, Lady Justice is depicted as wearing ablindfold in the American system and this is supposed to indicate her neutrality but in fact it more represents a lack of being able to properly see the truth. The main point I was making is trying to bring in Manu Samhita, Mosaic law(Old Testament laws) or Sharia Law and seriptiously impose that through ones own interpretation as a jurer is way way out of bounds. It just makes a bad system that much worse. Frankly I avoid all jury lists by no longer registering to vote. And even when I was on them I would make up some excuse to not do the duty. Basically it was rightly side there is no justice in the material worls except karmic justice.

Yes but realist I think the panchatantra was only directed as a teaching on wordly relationships. And I think it correct. In fact is it not the accumulation of these failed loving relationships enmassed over countless lifetimes that ultimately exhaust the soul of the propensity to look for fullfillment in matter? The way I see it is the moral of the story is correct as far as it goes but like everything material it needs to have the Krsna conscious dimension added to it to complete the picture. Suchandra was only opening up a line of discussion and not making a proclamation that all is hopeless in the long run. We can be sure that he agrees with what you have written about Mahaprabhu's mercy reinstating us in Divine love.

A Madman’s Discourse on the Workings of the Mind
theist replied to krsna's topic in Spiritual Discussions
The crazy thing is the Pyschiatrists and Phd. Pyschologists would want to medicate someone like Jada Bharata to help him become functional in this world. Up is down and black is white in this inside out world. -
What is wrong with the sahajiya viewpoint?
theist replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
I know nothing of past sahajiya movements, lines or practices and I am not particulary interested. My topic was very narrow and simple purposely. I have no interest in studying it more in depth. If you want to start a thread on the history and various practices of sahajiyaism then start a thread and go for it. it would be interesting and has not been done before on this board that I am aware of. Again that was never my purpose. Why can't you process this simple fact. As far as I am concerned between Shakti Fans posting of the talks of NM and more pointedly suchandra's #5 the purpose of this thread was fullfilled in those first few posts. I am not an Iskcon devotee nor do I practice now or ever illegal or street scams to get money to dovetail to krsna. Where the F*** do you get off accusing me of such? I have seen sahajiya mentality creeping in for a long time and can't remember your post. I started this thread after reading Murali's post on another thread about how Krsna can enjoy woman in a "rasa dance" through one's own senses and that is the platform of one "with great faith" as he said. That is creeping sahajiyaism. I have no idea what you think about the issue. -
Yes in wordly relationships once love is betrayed trust cannot be reestablished. The exception to this would be our relationship to Krsna.

What is wrong with the sahajiya viewpoint?
theist replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
I think you are being strangely defensive. No one has said sahajiyas are the scum of the earth and worse then the baby rapers. I wonder why you even bring that up. I opened this thread to explore the pyschology of of why someone would turn to this mentality. As I mentioned to you previously i was only talking about present day practices and not those of any group in the 17th century and yet you continue to voice your displeaseure over the simplistic depictions of their old practices. Maybe you wouldn't be so bothered if you actually tracked with the real subject of this thread. Suchandra got it right away and gave an excellent answer. I believe it would be benefical for all devotees to pay special heed to what he said in post #5 so as not to get mislead by their own minds. -
What is wrong with the sahajiya viewpoint?
theist replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Already dealt with in a previous post. No it was Guruvani although I agree. It is a bag of bones but because it is dovetailed properly to Krsna it is also transcendental energy. I would ask you what ridiculous point you are trying to make with that comment but in truth I am really not interested in your viewpoint. This is the type of thing one takes to his guru for clarification. Getting knowledge is more important than getting a thread. -

What is wrong with the sahajiya viewpoint?
theist replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
People are sincerely wrong also. Also I am talking about present day and not what someone may or may not have done in the 17th century. It is not a question of being a repressed sannyasi or a sahajiya The answer to your puzzle above is the householder ashram. Dovetailing your senses in God's service is not a whimisical endeavor. Krsna says He is that sex life that is not contray to religious principles. It is not that you need to see yourself as representing Krsna and your females lovers as the Gopis. One can see the sahajiya mentality creeping in. -

Good point on supression of unfulled desires. Supression, repression never works. The desires always resurface in some form. Even a philosphical understanding cannot protect us these desires are so strong. Without a higher taste having been achieved we are always walking on thin ice. -
18 Million Versions Of Ramayan & Mahabharat!
theist replied to Rishi_L's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Yes it is all mind expanding as either fact or tale. -
Gawd, why does every little thing have to become a debate? Here is the whole sentence. ""But even it is true, we have nothing to do with it." Lord Krishna killed his own dynasty under His personal supervision. So certainly Krishna didn't like the idea that future dynasties would be able to identify having Krishna's blood. Krishna has no material blood; neither He is different from His body." The first five words in the first sentence explain the stance he took on the subject. The last three sentences explain why the idea has no credence to the Vaisnava rather true or not. Because Krsna is a transcendental person He has no blood line nor is He a part of one. It is a stance transcendental to accepting or rejecting the notion. He is clearly saying that it doesn't deserve the time for consideration due to Krsna being a transcendental person. That is his stance on the question. The impression that he doesn't accept the idea may be there also but it is not his stance. Therefore his disciples should not teach it as a reality but for reasons higher then simple rejection of the notion. I am well aware of your anti-jewish bias Kulapavana from your past posts o World Review so I doubt you will accept what I say and I have no intention on having a prolonged exchange on this so have the last word and that will end it.

18 Million Versions Of Ramayan & Mahabharat!
theist replied to Rishi_L's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Keeping true to my position as part orthodox part heretic I must say truthfully I take such statements with a grain of salt. -
Yes it especially good for the brain to get bath in nutrient rich blood. I learned in hatha yoga class that headstands are contraindicated for people with sinus problems or high blood pressure. I have chronic sinus problems so I avoided full headstands and stuck to shoulder stands as an alternative. With you neck injury shoulder stands may not be good for you either. But a slant board would still be very benefical. Even just having your feet a few degrees higher than your head is wonderful. I haven't done shoulder stands in years but I have a workout bench that allows me to do reverse sit ups and I like to lay on that with my feet up and practice relation for extended periods. Reverses the blood flow and takes presure off the spine. It's the difference between a going over a waterfall and floating down on a gentle stream. It's sooo nice. Put on a chanting tape and it becomes a nice meditation.
