  1. << If you are alone in this world, there is no one to set u on fire, the hindu way. >> first you are not alone. burning is for the benefit of others. it stops spread of deseases. << Are you then doomed? (I'm not sure what the scripture says about this). >> No. you are not burned. you never can be burned. only the body you quit is burnt. << Wouldn't it be the most natural to die and rott on ot in the ground? >> no, but zerthrostrians do it. for hindus, burning is a healthy way fot the protection of society. again you never rot. your body you quit gets rot.
  2. << If you say i need to know hindi to be a hindu, i would say i am not a hindu. >> about languge, i am misunderstood because i did not say in full (which i have said in a previous post long time ago. in short: - india (or any nation) must have one national languge. so, now what is wisdom in fighting about which languge? we happily or unhappily are using english - the language of a past dushman. any indian language is better in quality than english. - a common language helps unite (if we want to.) first thing to do is: all the indians should write in any language but in devanagari. it is not difficult to learn devanagari script, and our ancient literature is in devanagari. - now hindi (it is not my mother tongue) is alerady declared national language. there is pure hindi, and the schools and colleges and films must insist on it. no one is forcing us to spoil our language. we have to use it purely. - you can pick any language as a national language and the people can fight about it if they chose to. so my suggestion about hindi is not biased but because it is declared a national language. now there are enemies who want to give us every reason to fight for. language is one. do we want to fall in their trap? i am not connecting hindi with hinduism. it is just a language from sanskrit. one can be a hindu even if he does not know any indian language.
  3. vaah ganesh prasad ji, tame to saaraa kavi chho. << Lanchan he hamko dhrma chodne Jo na karsake dushman hamare >> maanuchhu tame aam kahevaa mango chho: Lanchan he unako (jo) dhrma chhod de Jo na karsake dushman hamare bhai, kataar to joiye, paN alam vadhu joiye. lakata raho.. are ganeshji e vyas ne sambhaLi ne mahaabhaarat lahyu, to tame kavita lakho tema shu.n navai.
  4. US's world political strategy is this: "we americans look every where in the world. if we think that something is happening that has the remotest chance of hurting our interests, then we do everything to influence that event and convert it to support our interests. our interest are: - maintain doninance/superiority in every field (except spiritual). we want to remain cultural, econonic, social, science. and military power. - we want to hold monopoly on nuclear arms. - we want to hold monoply to determine what is best action for any one. - we cause factions among neighbors and keep them fighting. that way they have no energy to challange our dominance. - we want all the world's oil because, without old no country can win a war and cannot fly bombers." now, this US strategy is in conflict with US principle of "not guilty until proven guilty". so, the world could press US to not use their pro active strategy and meddle with the world on their assumptions of future events. however, US may be right in preventing the nucuear technology going into the hands of islam. there, waiting is too dangerous for the world. now the indians know that the war with china was wrong, because nehru followed the fabricated border maps made by the british. it was india's misunderstanding. so, india and china could be friends, but india cannot/must not support communism. recently china has shown to reslove all the border issues very peacefully. china even said to india, "check our maps, and if you see something wrong, we will correct it." it is a saying in india that says: your first true relative is your neighbor. india needs to strength ties with the neighbors. india is not enemy of US, but US needs to stop acting anti india. while US is just 250 years old, India is 250 M+ years old. so is china.

  7. << Why is hinduism a more sensible stance than another religion? >> sensible to you and other thinkrer with open mind. to the muslim and xian world it is the greatest challange or greatest oppertunity to convert or plunder, because hinduism is not organized as they are, so far. why sensible, becuse it has everything good the other religons have; and it has uniqie things that no religion has. it is most scientific, and it gives maximum freedom of thought and action. it is inherently secular and therefore we do not need the western concept of secularism in india. its processes are proven valid since milleniums. a hindu fails only when he does not live by dharma. now let me give a stark difference between xianity and hinduism with the example of pope. he just died. the vedic people know sanyaas asram, and vairagya. they know this is not the best world to live in. a hindu is willing to give up everything (except god or sadhana) when time comes with a serene smile on face and heart. xianity does not have it. look at the pope. he was suffering old age ( and jesus did not save him, how can he save others,) and still he did not give up his position, he was more interested to show up to the public and wave his hands rather than go in meditation and conteplatation on god and aatma. for xians this world is the goal, all in all; for us it is not. similary no muslim gives up power or property he gets till he dies. check all the muslim kings of the world in the whole islam history. their own nearest kins will kill them and take over the thrones, but they will not give up power till they die. in contrast, a hindu saint/swami/aachary or even a grihasthi prepares for his death. he welcomes it and embraces it with great honor a dignity. bhishma chose his time of death. even in the last kumbha mela a pious person chose to give up his body, and he hand predicted that he would do so. this however does not mean a hindu does not care for the world. he cares utmost, and his life work is for that, but he know that when time comes, he is ready to give up everything. vaanaprastha ashrma is retired life living out of town in jungle/ashram. now a days one can live in city ashrams and do dharma karma for the benefit of the society. the org. of pope is in the business of converting the whole world. they already have determined that theirs is the only way. they like to hold monopoly on everything. they only must have the nuclear bombs, and non else. they only can take you to god and none else. they only can forgive your sins and none else. this we hindus do not have. we know that god is for every one. we never talk "your god, my god". they do. vice and virtue are no one's monopoly. we know our sadhana, and care less what other's religon is as long as it does not bother us. that is our spiritual secularism. all can follow their own path, but without bothering or disrespecting the other in any way. in contrast, the western secularism forces one to become an atheist. not hinduism, not vedic secularism. this also means that we cannot allow in india the ideologies that are hostile to hinduism on the vedic land. for non hindus, hinduism is not easy to understand. while other religions are a set of beliefs, hinduism is not. it is the science of the spirituality. it needs saints and sadhus to make one undersand what it is. however, one with an open mind can learn a lot from just studying gita. it is for all mankind.
  8. i welcome poets to write poems on this theme in indian languates: calling the muslims of india back to assume the sanatana dharma of their ancestors. now when we have ready these excellet poems/songs, then think of large hindu processions in many cities of bharat singing these songs from the depth of their hearts. such processiosn will happen every month or so. there will be CDs selling with these songs. the result: large muslims would happily embrace hinduism or at leat give up islam which is foreign and invaded in india. we have to make it work. i am sure krishna is with us.
  9. please assume a username and we can talk.
  10. dear guest, plese use a good username. "Kuch baat hai ki hasti mitati nahi hamari, sadiyon rahan hai dushman, daure jahan hamara". yes. however, ab ham jaante hei.n ke hamaari hasti duusaro.n ki laato khaane ke liye nahi.nhai. kisine taanga uthaai to na to uski taang rahegi, ya na to vo rahega. ham jiye.nge to hamaare or duusare.n ke sukh ke liye. hamaara desh bhi vaise hi jiyega, aura hamaara dharma to sabakaa hi hai. dharma ham jaane.nge dharma ham pale.nge.

  12. there are two answers: 1) if yoya re a devotee of her, then realize her and ask her if she is supreme. 2) if you are just curious without an ista deva, then first accept the authority of the gita, the book of hinduism. then you will see that she is prakriti. and krishna says: mayAdhyaksheNa prakriti sUyate sachracharam. there is your answer. hope it helps.

    HINDUISM!

welcome! please use a good username. << As a Hindu I can keep pic of Jesus, Nanak, Buddha go to a church, dargah and still be a Hindu. >> sure, but that does not mean a real hindu is wishi washi. there are many vedic paths, and one has to choose one for his sadhana. you cannot walk on two paths at the same time. Hinduism is what is in gita. and gita has not changed. so hinduism has not changed. the circumstances and foolishness of the hindus have made them not know it and not practice it. HK's know it a lot better than the Hindus. just keeping the photos of the leaders of confliciting paths does not help any one. it is not worth it, when you get serious about living per dharma.
  14. Recently a leader of Indian Muslims told a visiting Pakistani Muslim leader in india that India is secular becaue of the Hindus. (i have been saying all the times that hinduism is inherently secular. we do not need western secularism.) The Paki leader told the indian muslims to love india (not pak), and work in the best interest of india. he told them to assimilate well with the mainstream (hindus). this is a good sign of change of attitude. all the problems between hindus and muslims in bharat get solved soon when all the muslims accept back the religon of their hindu ancestors who where were converted by sword. an intermediate situation for sometime could be that they will not do jihads, and will join hindus in their cultural and religious activities. they well become good peace loving people and muslims by name only. no muslims will start communal riots (only they have started them in the past.) eventually they will help build rama temple at the baabri masjid, and other mosques that are built on top of destroyed temples. koran does not approve democracy in principle. so a muslim who loves democracy is not a real muslim. koran does not tolerate moorti pooja, either. the indian muslims should also stop eating cows. and learn sanskrit and hindi instead of urdu. let teh muslims listen this: aa aba lauta chale.. naina bichhaaye baahe.n pasaare tizko pukaare dharma tera. aa jaa re....... aa jaa re. let us work so that the muslims of india come back to hinduism, or at least give up islam eventually, gradually. koran is not compatible with gita. bharat is the land of krishna/gita.

    Bharata!

gautam ji, namaskAr! bahut acchi kavitaa likhi.
  16. okay. your question is sincere. so let me reply. like god, we teh sould are eternal, qualititively same as god, but quantitatively very minute. we have no power or energy as god has. becaue god loves us all, he gives us freedom. god controls all his material energy, and we wished to do it too for our own self. to do this god allows it and his maya makes us forget god. so with desires to gratify senses, we became jivas and assume bodies. but the law of nature is that nothing is permanent, except the basic elements. so the body god maes for us to live in, will grow, and decay. when it decays or gts damaged, we get another body. when we have a body, we suffer or enjoy. in the spiritual world we can enjoy without a body, but in the mateirla world we need a body, and with the body comes decay and death, happiness and misery. a yogi or a devotee knows how to live so that one lies happy and dies happy. brahma creates, vishnu maintains, and siva destroys. these three activities continuously go on for ever, (that is how god's world is,) and never stops. actually every one, every life lives to enjoy. when there is a lot of misery, there is some joy, or hope for joy. one who dies not have hope and suffers a lt, he/she dies soon. some live for others' happiness. that is a lot of sacrifice. others live to cause suffering and destruction to others. it is their joy in addition to their sense gratification. these are demoniacs. krishn has described them in gita. so, why we live? because we have chosen to enjoy with our senses. if one can give up every desire totally, one dies. hunger is pain, but eating food is joy. thirst is pain, but drinking water is joy. same for every sense organ. most joy here is temporary. krishna tells us to seek permanent joy. that is real happiness. hope it helps.
  17. << Live and work according to your dharma. >> only when you are living in a vedic society that is healthy and functioning well. what will be your swadharma if you were living in the kingdom of ghauri, e.g.?
  18. praNam! i use prabhupad's translation. if some vaishnav aacharya has translated sridhar swami's translation into english, then i would be intereted to get access to it.
  19. sorry, i do not think any krishna devotee would have interest in this sankhya. thanks.
  20. think that some one puts a gun on your or your loved one's head. then think why he should not pull the trigger. you automaticlly will come up with answers. this is one way to get the answer.
  21. << Politicians should worry about politics-that is their swadharma. You shouldn't worry about it, because that is not your swadharma. >> if all follow your advice in your counry, its democrcy will crumble in a few days. do you like democracy? do you like to be ruled by the politicians or krishna? do you want politicians to follow krishna or kamsa or hiranyakashipus or hitlers? you are not the only one who is confused in this matter. it is unfortunate.
  22. what is your objective reason to ask this? if you want to talk about sankhya of kapil bhagavan, do so. we would listen. if you want to talk about the atheist kapil, we have no interest.
  23. read gita to know what krishna says about lust. if you do not like it, fine; but do not try to preach something that krishna did not say.
  24. sanskrit language/vedic culture has not word that translates to crime, which means an act that adversely and seriously affactes another person or persons. vedic word is paapa - sin. once a person determines or vows what his/her dharma is, then after he/she needs to follow certain rules accordingly. e.g. a sanyasi or a brahmachari should not think of any sex. even watching sex acts of animals or insects is not good for them. a grihasti can think of sex with his wife, but none else. still it is better not to think and not do, but do when time is right. thought leads hankering for action, action accrues karma good or bad. dyAyato vishhayAn punsa sangastshupajAyate sangAt sanjAyate kAmah kAkAt krodhobhi jAyate kridhAt bhavati sammoha sammohAt smrit vibhrama smriti bhransjAt bhddhu nAsha buddhi nASAt prNashyati says krishna. swami ramatirtha has said that one who can control the mind, can control the world. hope it helps.
  25. would you please share your answer first. thanks.
