  1. If you are able to offer the fruits of sex to God, then perhaps it will lighten the situation. Find the divine love in your marriage, and everything will work out smoothly, nothing to worry about. There are so many paths, and they all eventually lead to the same thing. Some are just faster and more intense (tapasya). You had already chose to get married, and not to be a renunciate. Both renunciates and married men can make sturdy yogis. If you choose to have sex, then do it in moderation as to not heavily deplete the supply of semen. Be careful as to your thoughts, if you keep them on sexual desire it will keep you in the lower chakra.
  2. When one enters the state of trance during an astral projection or out of body experience, and leaves his or her body becoming fully conscious and aware, do they enter - in the least bit - any of the stages of samadhi?
  3. Was Tiruvalluvar a Siddha? These are some excellent points... they point towards our natural path.
  4. Hi there, the milk should be removed. The Ghee, and tea will be ok. The oil will have to be made. Simmer on the lowest heat about a tablespoon of each herb in about 1/2 cup of mustard oil covered with a lid for just over an hour. Let it cool then strain the mixture with coffee filters until it is pure and there is no grit. If the oil is very potent it may be mixed with more mustard oil later, and depending upon your constitution you may mix with coconut or sesame oil, as long as it is mostly mustard oil. This works very well.
  5. Hi dheeraj, blessings. What are you eating in your diet right now? Are you eating refined foods, or junk foods? A diet that is raw will help with this. Mostly fruits and vegetables, stay away from breads, dairy, and sugar for now. You can start to introduce lassi with ginger and cardamom into your diet later. Do three days on raw fruits and vegetables, then introduce the lassi, and slowly introduce natural cooked foods. There is also a medicine for plugged sinus. It is the oil of mustard, vacha, pippali, vidanga, ginger, black pepper... Put in three drops in each nostril. This is for (Puti Nasya), and is very effective. For the constipation, take a teaspoon of triphala mixed with 4Xs the amount warm water first thing in the morning, and right before bed. Relieving the constipation will relieve the sinus congestions... Also are you doing Ujjayi pranayama? I find this one is very effective for clearing the sinuses.
  6. I have warts all over the bottom of my left foot that will not go away with Compound W, freezing from the doctor, or other chemicals the doctor has given me. I also have had a sore throat for a week in the middle of summer that wont seem to go away. I am male, 6' tall, and 145 lbs. I am mostly Vata with some Pitta. I could also use to put on some extra weight. How can I increase my immune system? I already take multi-vitamin, triphala, fruits and vegetables, and sometimes ashwagandha, shatvari, and brahmi together, and Chyawanprash gives me a sore throat. Sugar makes me sick too. I have been to so many doctors, and they can't figure it out. My nose gets plugged when I drink milk also. The only time I could drink milk without problems was when I was on antibiotics. Any help would be great.
  7. Barley with honey should be the main diet. Barley is very useful for diabetes. Also... Gudmar and Shilajit are the two main herbs used by modern ayurvedic practitioners to treat diabetes. Gudmar is the best herb used for digesting sugar in the pancreas.
  8. take it with Ghee in the morning and evening, 1 hour before or after eating.
  9. Sorry I dont know the Hindi names. If anyone else can translate them that would be great!
  10. How important is abstinence in fully realizing the absolute? I know from personal experience the loss of semen leaves me feeling depressed and brings me to a very low frequency ( i even get cold feet). Yet, I have read that suppressing sexual urges can be unhealthy and bad for the system. Is this true? Are there techniques necessary for one to abstain in a healthy fashion? Any opinions, ideas, exercises, techniques?
  11. What complications arise when you take something containing lactose?
  12. Thanks, thats a good idea. Is there a certain way of finding an Ayurvedic Doctor in Vancouver B.C. Canada? One that is reputable? I am also afraid that it will be expensive? Or should I fly to India?
  13. Get a copper brush, and scrub your scalp all over really good 10mins pressing firmly, might hurt a little(but dont be a sissy). You will notice a huge amount of flakes ending up in your hair. Then wash your hair with a shampoo containing tea tree oil (make sure it is a nice natural shampoo). Also use a nice natural shower gel for body with herbal extracts like chamomile or lavender or aloe vera, not something that is commercial and strongly scented with chemicals. After the shower spray yourself with kewda oil mixed with water (this will pacify the vata dosha which can cause dryness) You can also massage your body once a week with sesame oil before taking a bath.
  14. I actually wanted to know the reason behind the question. hehe!

  16. I guess nothing can really define enlightenment except for the personal experience. I think everyone is enlightened, yet, not everyone reflects that light. Some will experience it, others will reincarnate until they do. Yet.... Why ask this question?
  17. Is there some sort of program to use? Or some sort of book? Or perhaps someone here can help me? I am interested in astral bangles, and gemstones too. I was born July, 14, 1986 at 6:20 pm, Surrey, B.C., Canada .
  18. Hi my name is Cody, Male, 21, 6' tall, 145 lbs (Highly Vata Constitution and Mentality) Small rigid muscles, with very little body fat. I have allergies to (wheat, dairy, and sugar) Wheat causes peristalis to slow, and even feels like it stops. Makes the face/cheeks feel hot, and causes pain in the stomach. Dairy causes nasal congestion, and pain/burning upset stomach. Sugar causes strange nasal mucus feel (in back of nasal passage - near mouth) and causes instant sore throat, and sometimes headaches. Have Irregular bowel movements sometimes once every 3 days. Dry, scanty, and floating. sometimes light and loose and floating. Difficulty in passing stool. Ravenous appetite, even a few hours after a large meal. Feel very irritated angry and light when havent had something to eat in 4-5 hours. White coating on the back of the tongue, fat crooked line down the middle, small red dots around the outside. wide indentations at the sides. and noticeable tremor when tongue extended. Nails have lines running up and down, and have white spots on the middle fingers. fingers are dry thin and rough like an old man. Face is red in color, with open pores and white sebum coming out the pores (especially at the sides of the nose). Skin is dry and oily at the same time. Face is especially oily. Deviated septum with practically no mucus flow. Very dry nasal passages, and much congestion especially on the right side. Chronic bad breath (especially when havent had something to eat). Even had mouth checked by dentist and oral hygene is good(with toungue scraping). Feels depressed because it interferes with happy social life. The bad breath is a big problem, many people roll down windows in cars, or look for fresh air. Chronic and severe itching anus (especially at night and in the morning). Anus is painfull when touched from over scratching. Have been diagnosed with parasite - blastocystis Hominis (but was not treated because Doctor said it was very difficult to eliminate and may not cause problems) Varicocele in the left testicle with occasional pain (especially day after emission) pain can move into the inner left thigh. Weakness, cold feet, unhappiness and guiltiness and disappointment in oneself is felt after emission (thus ejaculation is only done once in a while about 7 days apart). Yet thoughts about sex are strong and irritating, and makes me feel rushed, or in a hurry. Mentality is fearful, anxious, and nervous. Sometimes nervousness at the slightest undertaking. Also impatient and striving for goals. Havent been in long term relationship because of fear or finding lack of perfection in the opposite person. When perfection is found then complete fear and nervousness takes over, and has alot of difficulty initating, or afraid of something going wrong (like not finding something to say). Not comfortable or confident with thin body. And afraid of premature ejaculation even though copulation has not occured. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have Vasant Lad's textbooks on ayurveda, they are really cool, but there is not yet a treatment book released. It seems as though my stomach problem is quite complex, and there are many things going on. Ive been taking triphala, ashwaganda, and shatvari. Ashwagandha definatly helps with the anxiety, and triphala has slightly been helping with my stomach to feel better. Ive been taking the Shatvari to help gain weight, and to cool and balanced the ashwagandha. I have ordered Vidanga, dashamalu, bramhi, and haritaki. Although I dont really know exactly how to treat every issue, I figured this would help a little bit. What do you think? Or what would you suggest instead? I was planning on taking the vidanga with haritaki in pill form for 1 week. Then using dashamalu basti 2 day, then 3 days using sesame oil basti, then taking ashwagandha, shatvari, bramhi, and trihpala for some while. If I should not do this then let me know. One simple question too, whats the different effect of taking a churna instead of bati (pill?) Thanks.
  19. I was wondering if anyone had any historical articles/sources proving the existance of Krishna. As in is there anything backing up the actual events of the Bhagavad Gita . The Gita is an excellent piece of work.
