  1. Myself and the Anveshan Institute receives a lot of hate mails, from Muslims and Hindus alike. From the Muslims because we are a band of kafirs and from the Hindus, because they consider that I have questioned the authority and infallibility of the Vedas, and hence a Nastika. A letter received a month back was strange. It told me that Muslims were the ‘real’ Hindus, and Kalki has already ‘avatarised’ amongst them, and Shrimad Bagavatam itself have proved it beyond doubt, that five Brahmin ‘sastra visharads’ have certified to the effect that Kalki is Mohammad or Mohammed is Kalki! It seems that some mullah had read this verses: “azvam Azu-gam Aruhya devadattaM jagat-patiH asinAsAdhu-damanam aSTaizvarya-guNAnvitaH vicarann AzunA kSauNyAM hayenApratima-dyutiH nRpa-liGga-cchado dasyUn koTizo nihaniSyati “ and concluded that since Mohammad trode on an excellent Arabian Horse, and since he had a khadgam in his hand, Mohammad is Kalki! I wrote the writer/writers the following reply: - <anveshanam> <asadsaf@hotmail.com>; <matheen5@hotmail.com>; <maximax@vsnl.net>; <Mazwood@qvc.com.qa>; <mijameel@emirates.net.ae>; <mjalaludeen@hotmail.com>; <sardhaar@hotmail.com> Tuesday, January 07, 2003 11:42 AM FW: Prophet Muhammad in Hindu Religion Books To the Original Writer The subject letter has reached this writer, and feels a reply is intended. Hence this letter. First of all, after going through the philosophies and so-called scriptures and sciences material and abstract, this writer is a bit confused whether Allah or his ‘prophet last’ created religion or religion created Allah and his ‘prophet last’. And ignorance, sometimes, is bliss: it enables one to react without fear or favour. This writer takes the liberty of the Original Writer or writers, first of all, to ask certain questions that are purely philosophical: 1. Concept 1. God created humans ( and all others) An omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent It, without Form but cause to all forms, created humans. Why? To worship him, to be obedient to him, to look upward to him and to finally REACH him or attain him? So is IT is as selfish as humans and enjoys flattery, obedience and obeissance? If man has to undergo the pain and pleasures of life under ambigous directions from IT, why this creation at all? Is it that It created for it's own enjoyment? This Allah of yours got furious, happy, pleased and pained, feelings said to be human. 2. Concept 2: God guides man( through a paraphernalia of scriptures, prophets, avtars and saints) The purpose of creation, according to your religion, is not clear; whether God created man for ITself or for the man. But It used to(as is said) guide him for on what is good and what is not (for man or It, it is not clear). But it is a little bit tough to believe an Omnipotent, Omni-scient god., who created everything-at-will, could not control man at will, and had to go thru the via-media of prophets, avtars and revelations! Why It could not control-at-will? No logical answers. Had he chosen to guide us at-will, the bloodshed thru ages could have been avoided. Adam to Abrahm to Moses to Jesus Joseph Christ to Mohammed : yet till man remains as barbaric and uncivilized as he was or he is within. No prophet or avtars so-called, no scriptures divine could refine him. A God, who is Alpha and Omega, Cause and Effect, Increate but created matters abstract and concrete, living and non-living at-will, could not control things at will. You are just belittling the Fathomless IT to suit your vested interests. A snake bites only when provoked. A tiger mauls or kills only when it is hungry or provoked. But the crown of all creatures, Man, spews venom and hatred and kills each other in the name of a Super Natural; each one claims, his is the right IT, the only Son or the last Prophet. And kills unashamedly in their name. For my IT is true, thine is not. The 'chosen' tribes of It razed cities, set ablaze civilizations in North-East Africa, Babylonia, Assyria and Sumeria, persecuted and massacred millions in the name of IT; The temples of Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians and Sumerians were replaced by the new Concept of the Moses. Then came Jesus Joseph Christ, and his followers replaced It by churches of God. And Churches were replaced mosques and bloody wars of the Cross and the Crescent were fought. The river of Jordan was filled with human blood; blood became lighter than water. Oh, the letter was about Kalki Mohammed. I think all you have heard is about a Kalki, riding on an ’Arabian’ Devadatta, with an unsheathed sword in his hand, slaughtering humans left and right, then I do agree Kalki Mohammed P.U.B.H., K.C.I.E(Knight Commander of the order of the Islamic Empire) is the Kalki. The P.U.B.H. also should be called ‘ purandara’, the destroyer of cities and civilizations. Otherwise, what explanation can you, the followers of Kalki Mohammed, give for the total annihilation and ethnic cleansing of the empire of the great Xerxes and Cyrus? Those who fought for their beliefs, your Parsi brethren here, had to leave their fatherland, ran helter-skelter, and seek refuge elsewhere. Your Kalki’s sword slaughtered, tortured and subjugated the ethnic Africans, and oldest of the languages were replaced by your ‘devanagari’, the language of Allah, the Merciful and Most Compassinate One. The Kalkies made a ‘Hindu Kush’, Mount of the Hindu Slaughter, in the ancient land of Gandhara, famous for its art and architecture. And Kalki Mohammed P.U.B.H. continues to live…. And my Sanatana Dharma is not based on Kalki and Kafirs. IT is firmly footed on Increate and Eternal Truth, the essence of which are : 1. Iso-vasyamidam Sarvam 2. Loka samasta sukhino bhavantu and 3. Viswaika kutumbakam I am glad that the terrific Kalki( as the Kalki is described ) has come and gone, and the last of the Avtar has happened, but gloomy and sad that he has left behind followers like you. Best Regards anveshanam I am yet to receive a reply from them.

  3. Shriman, I have not emphasized much on the genetic evidence. But genetic evidences cannot be wholly negated and is subject to intense non-prejudicial research. But the existing, living anthropological and linguistic evidences are irrefutable. And the millennia old customs and traditions of the Adivasies of this country cannot be overlooked. While appreciating and priding in the heritage that our forefathers left behind, we should not arrogantly ascertain that the cosmos revolved around us only or the Ultimate Reality 'preferred' and 'selected' this stretch of land for the origin and flow of knowledge. Roughly six millennia before, civilizations as competent as to ours flourished in the Amazon, Nile, Niger and Congo valley. Civilizations or philosophies did not spring up like mushrooms on the stroke of lightning..it evolved over a period of time and spread. Flow of peoples and their culture is as old as humans.

  5. The link is one among the many books and articles for and against the Aryan Invasion Theaory. Whether Aryans came as nomads or as conquerers, there is no evidence. But the Aryans came and there existed a pre-aryan civilization should be correct. History is the storynof such settlements, conquests and re-settlements. The article says: "This hypothesis was apparently based upon references in the Vedas that point to a conflict between the light-skinned Aryans and the dark-skinned Dasyus. 2 This theory was strengthened by the archeological discoveries in the Indus Valley of the charred skeletal remains that we have mentioned above" There are more than enough references in the Rk Veda. References like the blacks(krishna varnam), the Dasyus, the Assurs and the Panis(Assyrians and Phoenicians). Further, the auther states that ‘The hypothesis that of racial hatred between the Aryans and the dark-skinned Dasyus has no sastric foundation’. History is not founded on vedas and sastras. The linguistic and anthropological evidence, alongwith ancinet customs and manners of the sudroids, the 'panchamas' and the adivasis points to the fact that pre-aryans of India were related to the Negrito race. Genetic evidences also substantiates this fact. And to the question that whether South India was unoccupied(unpopulated)prior to the Aryan invasion, the answer is 'not'. Ethiopia/Eritrea(ancient civilizations) was nearer to Southern India by the sea route than to the North. When merchandise were bought and sold from far away Greece, Mesopotamia and Babylonia, the Africans could come here more easily. They might have settled here earlier. And no mummies are needed, living examples are there. Sometimes we would not be able to distinguish between an Indian Adivasi and a Negro. Races have liberally intermingled, and purity of race is hard to find.

  7. ========================================================== "There are references in Aranya Kanda that Sita was drying hare meat in the sun on a rock in the forest and in Sundara Kanda that Rama has stopped eating meat." ============================================================ This whole sentence is a mistake(mine). I wanted to convey that in Sundara Kanda there is a reference that Sita dried meat ( hiran or hare it does not specify). I am not having a text of Valmiki ramayana with me to locate and quote the exact verses and I have no idea the Valmiki ramayana I referred to is authentic or not, because till today I was under the impression that there is only one version of Valmiki Ramayana. But in Sundara Kandam of Adhyatma Ramayanam, one of the accepted Ramayanas and almost a translation of Valmiki's (it is in sanskritised Malayalam), there is a very clear reference which is by heart to me. Here Sita gives her ring to Hanuman as a proof his having met him and tells him an incident which both Rama and she only knows. This happened in Aaranya(I mistakenly referred to Aaranya Kanda). Sita tells Hanuman: " When, nearby the parnasala, I was drying the meat on the rocks. Rama came tired after hunting and wanted to take rest. He rested on my lap. At that time, Indratmaj Jayanta came(in the form of a crow) and stated eating meat pieces. I took pebbles and threw at him. One hit him, he got angry wounded me9with beak and nails) on the face. Blood started flowing down and fell on his face and forehead and the paramapurusha opened his eyes." This is by heart to me. And the words that may refer to meat is 'palalm' and 'palali'(both in malayalam and sanskrit.) I do not know whether I am wrong or not. But the reference exists.
  8. Yonder those hills and across the river Deep inside the thickets the aborigines lived Naked they came, naked they lived Undressed they behaved, artificial none. They hunted for food, ate whatever came handy Root or fruit, meat or milk, it didn’t bother them Danced in joy, wept in sorrow Got enraged and appeased for reasons pretty. When the animals came from the wild And took their kids for food ‘The poor folks got hungry, just like us’ The aborigines thought, and never struck back. When a snake bit an innocent child ‘The kid down-trod the poor reptile It bit back, nothing unusual’, they consoled. But when the floods came and the storms struck They folded their hands in awe and fright Where did it came, and why did took away Great many of them, they did never know The aborigine lived in pleasure and pain Amidst their fellow beings-the animals and birds Sustaining each other, as the Mother Nature wished In quite harmony, with hatred none. Neither they heard of the Vedas, or the Testament New Krishna and Christ did not reach them in form They never heard of Allah or his prophet last But they lived in quite harmony, with hatred none. One day they saw civilized creatures in uniform Coming down from across the hills To them the civilized looked strange With man-made smiles on their rosy lips. To their dismay, the strangers looked alike But behaved different and indifferent of each other “ Asalamu Alaikum”, one said, “Ram, Ram” the other And “Praise the Lord”, said the third. The civilized taught the barbarians in groups Of the Christ Jesus, the Vedas Divine And of Allah and his prophet last Of the glory of the heavens they are to reach. In groups they were taught, and groups they turned Groups of Christ and Krishna, Ram and Rahim Harmony they lost, venomous hatred crept into them They fought like bulls wild, to reach the Lord.
  9. Whether Rama was a veg or non-veg does not belittle him. Rama and Krishna should be judged by their actions and what they left behind to the humanity. I have read Valmiki Ramayanam, Adhyatma Ramayanam(Malayalam), and the Rama Charita Manas(Hindi). Though I have not come across a specific verse refering Rama eating meat, there is a specific description of Rama bringing hunted deer meet and Sita drying it up on the rocks (for preservation). If Rama did not eat meat, it could be for Sita or Lakshmana or may be for invited guests. We have no clue. The words used are 'palalam' and palali'. There are numerous references in sruties and smruties of the meat eating habits of the Aryans. But it does not diminish the glory of the ancient seers, sages and great kings. Right here in Devabhoomi Uttaranchal, goats are sacrificed in the Bhairava and Devi temples and the meat distributed as prasadam. Meat eating became an anathema to the upper castes(excepting the kshatriyas) due to the influence of Jina and Buddha.
  10. First, here I am writing as a student of history, and not as a follower of any religion, isms or views prejudiced. I am a follower of Sanatana Dharma, but my defnition of Sanatanam and Dharmam differs from the followers of religions and it is beyond religions and isms. There exists enough irrefutable evidence that a pre-aryan civilization existed in this sub-continent. These evidences may be classified into Anthropological, Archaeological, Linguistics, Cultural(customs & manners) and Genetic. Some of these I have already explained. I have stayed for days with the Adivasies in the Nilgiri belt and in the Chhattisgarh region , explored and observed their languages, customs and traditions. Mummified bodies in earthern jars of the pre-aryan era were found in various places in Southern India(The Negroids did not cremate their bodies like the Aryans). You only have to see and analyse the physical features of the majority of Indian population to reach a conclusion, plus some linguistics on tribal or place names for a comparative study to find out the origins (of the majority). The races have intermingled and inter mixed with other incoming races through the ages. But almost pure dravidians could be found in the obcsure and remote regions of South and Central India. Regarding evidence from ancient Indian writings, an analytical mind and a critical study of the vedas is required, without religious inhibitions. " In aid of Abhyavartin Cayamana, Indra destroyed the seed of Virasakha. At Hariyupiyah he smote the vanguard of the Vrcivans, and the rear fled frighted." -- [ Rg.V. XXVII.5 ] This Hariyupiyah is most likely to be the Harappa of the Indus valley. The 'purandara' and 'puroha' Indra destroyed a 100 cities made of stone, belonging to Sambara, a non-aryan. The ancient singer praises the god who "destroyed the Dasyans and protected the Aryan colour." [ Rg.V. III.34.9 ] "the thunderer who bestowed on his white friends the fields, bestowed the sun, bestowed the waters." [ Rg.V. I.100.18 ] [ Ann. 114 ] Numerous are the references to "the black skin" `Krishnam Vacham' [ Rg.V. IX.41.1, Sama Veda I.491, II.242 ] [ Ann. 114 ] which is mentioned with abhorrence. Again " stromy gods who rush on like furious bulls and scatter the black skin." [ Rg.V. IX.73.5 ] The singers mention "the black skin, the hated of Indra", being swept ourtof heaven [ RgV. IX.73.5 ] "Indra protected in battle the Aryan worshipper, he subdued the lawless for Manu, he conqured the black skin." [ Rg.V. I.130.8 ] The sacrificer poured out thanks to his god for "scattering the slave bands of black descent", and for stamping out " the vile Dasyan colour." [ Rg.V. II.20.7, II.12.4 ] "Dasam varnam adharam" [ Rg.V. II.12.4 ] Rakshasas were black aboriginals. " Ye mighty ones [ Asvins ] what do you do there; why do you stay there among the people who are held in high esteem though not offering sacrifices; ignore them, destroy the life of the Panis " The Panis were Phoenicians (another earlies settlers, who settled along with the 'Asuras', the Assyrians) The pre-vedic Harappans built large dams and canals. The 'destroyer of cities' had a passion for the destruction of dams and submerging the conquered areas. When he (Indra) laid open the great mountain, he let loose the torrents and slew the Danava, he set free the pent up springs, the udder of the mountain. [ RgV V.32.1-2 ] He slew the Danava, shattered the great mountian, broke open the well, set free the pent up waters. [ RgV I.57.6; V.33.1 ] He releases the streams which are like impisoned cows [ RgV I.61.10 ] He won the cows and soma and made the 7 rivers flow. [ RgV I.32.12; II.12.12 ] He releases the imprisoned waters [ RgV I.57.6; I.103.2 ] He dug out channels for the streams with his bolt [ RgV II.15.3 ], let the flood of waterrs flow into the sea. [ RgV II.19.3 ] He caused the waters pent up by Vrtra to flow [ RgV III.26.6; IV.17.1) Conquering waters is his prime attribute. " rinag rodhamsi krutrimani" Let us beleive that ancient populace came and settled here, there and everywhere. It is not the question of who came first, who were great. The aryan and pre-aryan civilizations and whatever they have left behind, good and evil, belongs to the entire humanity. Vasudhaiva kutumbakam.

  12. ==================================== "That Thou sent Thy ONLY BEGOTTEN SON" (We are all Thy slaves, I assume). ==================================== This is a quote from the New Book (upon which christianity is founded). It's very foundation is wrong. It is on the assumption that God is man-like and manly, gets enraged, appeased, flattered and procreates like us, animals. In fact every religion is founded on the wrong footing and pictured God as they like. The theme that It is not impotent and can beget many children is also a human thinking. =================================================== "Why Thy created me and brought me into this world," =================================================== It is a question to man-made religions who pictures God as the One who gets appeased, flattered when worshipped, and enraged when displeased. The religions say that God created man to please Him and ultimately to reach out Him ( or a seat at the hih ups, some say). ==================================== about rama's temple destruction and babri masjid: Consider this as a cultural assault. Cultural assaults and subjugation of a people were a continued process in human history. Jews were enslaved, Romans subjugated the Mediteranean kingdoms, the aryans subjugated the pre-aryan populace, and most recent, the on going Christian subjugation and cultural assault of the Nagas/Mongol-Khmer tribes of the North Eastern India. During the Islamic cultural assault, Indians were unable to fight the invading thugs . Why? The majority of the population was under torture, subjugation and continued persecution by the ruling Brahmino-Kshatri oligarchy. One of the reasons for the on going conversions is also the caste system. As and when the Hindu leadership opens their eyes wide into the problem, the conversions can be stopped to a greater extent. Just discard or set right the Manu’s Code and built up a Hindu society based on equality and fraternity. Knowledge is acquired, and not gifted on birth to certain classes. A reformer of the sort of Sankaracharya with a difference is needed for that. On the religious side of the Rama temple-Babri Masjid issue, man has made, unmade and remade temples, mosques, churches to please his ‘own’ gods. The Ultimate Reality is not interested in the making or unmaking of abodes for Him.
  13. You have misunderstood my 'IT'. It is not information Technology, but is 'it', stands for Ultimate Reality, which to me is of neutral gender (not Him or Her) I address god with a big IT

  16. The invading Aryans either exterminated, subjugated or made to scatter the settled populace in India. This happened in phases. .In the first phase, the Indian people of the Semitic origin comprising the Indo-Assyrians (`Asuras') and the Indo-Pheonicians (`Panis') were annihilated In the second phase, and by far the worst holocaust upon the Indians. was inflicted upon the Sudra Negroids, who were exterminated from or made to scatter all of North India. Under the impact of the Aryan invasions, the Sudroid race broke up into the disparate units of Dravidians, Kolarians, Dalits and Adivasis. The Dravidian Brahui isolate surviving in Baluchistan is an extremely northern isolate of the ancient Sudric stock. And the third phase was the annihilation and subjugation of the the Indo-Mongoloid populations of Eastern India who were referred to as Nagas or the Kiratas. Early Settlers ============== Veddoid (Indian Pygmy) Races ---------------------------- These were the earliest peoples to enter India. They probably came from Africa. Survivals of this race included the Andaman Islanders and the Veddas of Sri Lanka. They form less than 2 % of the Indian continental population. Sudroid or Indian Negro Race ---------------------------- A branch of the Negro race of Africa, they were the second race to enter India. They form around onethird (30 %) of the modern population of the Asian Continent. Originally speaking a Proto-Dravido-Kolarian, or Sudric, language and representing one race, this great people broke up into various distinct sub-races due to the destruction of the Sudroid Indus Valley civilization by Aryan invaders. These branches are : KOLARIC- After the destruction of the Indus Valley by the catastrophic Aryan invasions, one branch of the Sudroids migrated to East India. Their language developed into the modern Kolarian or Indo-Austric or Mundari languages. They are disparagingly referred to as `Nishadas' by the Aryans. Examples are the Santals and Mundas. DRAVIDOID - One branch of Sudroids migrated to Southern India and developed into the Tamiloid, Kannadigoid, Telugoid and Malabaroid (Malayaloid and Tuluvoid) and Adi-Dravida (South Indian SC/STs) sub-races. DASYOID/GONDOID- This branch of the Sudroid race refers to those who stayed behind in North India and mostly accepted slavery under the Aryans. They form 20-25 % of the population of North India (Hindustan), reaching a maximum of 50 % in Gondwana, Bhilwarra and Jharkhand. Most were enslaved by the Aryan invaders, and some continued the resistance in Central India. The Northern Sudras were referred to as `dasyus' (`slaves'). They lost their original language, and were Prakritised (Aryanised). INDO-SEMITIC - The Semites entered India and settled in the Indus Valley among the more numerous Negroid Sudras. PHOENICIAN - Referred to by the invading Aryans in their Sanskrit language as `Panis' these are the Mediterranean populations that entered the Indus Valley, peacefully setling among the indigenous Sudroid pupolation. ASSYRIANS - Referred to by Aryans as `Asuras', they contributed, along with the Phoenicians, the Semitic influence to the Harappan civilization, eg. the construction of ziggurats. Both these races were exterminated by the invading Aryans. MONG-KHMER - The next race to enter India, perhaps simultaneously with the Semites, were the Mon-Khmer peoples. They form a significant part of the population of Gaudiyan (West Bengali), Odissic and Assamic races. Some of them were referred to as Nagas and Kiratas. THE AFRICAN CONNECTION ======================== 1 Black Skin The most evident similarity between Africans and Sudroids is their black skin colour. It often approaches deep black, and when shiny resemble tar. The Adi Dravidas (true Dravidians) of South India are black like the Africans with a slightly different hair texture. 2 Nasal Index The nose of Sudroids closely resembles that of Negroids and Australoids, being very broad. In both pure black African and pure Sudroid it is often as wide as it is broad, ie. the nasal index (ratio of width to height) is 100. By contrast Caucasians are fine-nosed. The Indo-Aryan is thus very similar to the European, possessing a fine nose, while the Sudroid is related to the Africa. 3 Wavy-Curly Hair & Thick Lips The hair of Sudroids is wavy and often curly, with imported Africans ( eg. the Makranis, the Siddis of Sind and the Dakhin ) it is frizzy. It is a common misconception to asume all Africoids have frizzy hair; it is often curly and wavy in Nubia and Abyssinia. 4 Prognathism Pronounced prognathism is characteristic of all black races from Africa to southern India and Oceania - Australia. In addition, the teeth are relatively larger in case of Australoids and Kolarians, as well as Dravidians. 5 Skeletal Similarities Long Forearm - The forearm of Suroids and Africans are long. Dolicocephaly - Dolicocephaly ( long-headedness ) is common amongst Sudras. In fact, many are classed as hyperdolicocephalic. Dolicocephaly is common amongst East Africans in general ( Nilotes, Sudanic Blacks and Cushites - Hamites or Abyssinians ) 6. Boomerang & Hunting Customs The boomerang is used by Dravidian aboriginals, Australoids and is recorded from Egypt. 7. Theological Both Africans and Dravidians held a common interest in the cult of the Serpent and believed in a Supreme God, who lived in aplace of peace and tranqulity. Murugan the Dravidian god of the mounatins parallels a common god in East Africa worshipped by 25 ethnic groups called Murungu, the god who resides in the mountains. 8. Burial & Death Rites Burning of the dead body is a characteristic of Indo-Aryans, while burial of the dead was common to Indo-Africans. In both South India and the Western Sudan and Senegal/Gambia the dead were buried and interned in terra cotta jars. 9. Circumcision & Initiation Rites Circumcision, both male and female, was practiced by Dravidians and is still widely practiced in Africa. 10. Agricultural Both groups use the hoe for tilling the ground, manuring the ground to fertilize crops, terracing irrrigation and canal building. Wheat of the 6-row variety, which is found in predynastic graves in Egypt, has been discovered at Harappan sites dating much later, as late as 2300-1750 BC. On the Gangetic plain, barley was found at neolithic Hallum in Mysore state (1800 BC). Pearl millet has been found at Saurasthra and Ahar (1200-100 BC). Indian sorghum is clearly of African origin. Cultivated cotton which came from West Africa appear at Mohenjo-Daro and harrapa from 2300-1700 BC 11. Inheritance Among the ali tiravitar (Adi Dravidas, or real Dravidians), the system of inheritance passes from the uncle to his nephews, instead of his sons (maru makkal tayam) as in Africa and is still practiced by some communities in South India. 12. Calendrical The Dravidians and Africans used the same calendrical systema 13. Megalithic Cultures Megalithic cultures in India and Africa dating to the third millenium BC are very similar: both contain black-and-red ware, bones and pottery sarcophagi near water tanks. Cave paintings are also very similar, pointing to ancient contacts. 14. Pottery : Red-and-Black Ware The black races are consistently associated with red-and-black pottery all over the world. Pottery of the Nubians is very similar to Dravidian pottery. 15. The Mbangala or Imbangala warrior tribe of central Angola are cognate to the Bangala tribe and the region named after them in eastern India. The Galla are the largest ethnic group in Ethiopia, forming 40 % of the population. They are cattle-herders, as are the black-skinned low-caste known as Goala (cow-herders) in central India. The Mbundu are the second-largest ethnic group of Angola while the Munda are in Eastern India. The Godabas of Somalia may have given their name to the Godavari River in the Deccan. Congates of `gond' and `gong' are widespread in Africa and Dravida. Gonder or Gondar is the ancient capital of Ethiopia 1652-1855 as well as the surrounding region. The Gond are a large group of Draviidan tribes in Central India. Senegalese and Dravidian languages are closely related grammatically, structurally and lexically. THE VEDIC EVIDENCE ================== References abound to an Aryan invasion in Sanskrit literature. The ancient singer praises the god who "destroyed the Dasyans and protected the Aryan colour." [ Rg.V. III.34.9 ] and "the thunderer who bestowed on his white friends the fields, bestowed the sun, bestowed the waters." [ Rg.V. I.100.18 ]. Numerous are the references to "the black skin" `Krishnam varnam' [ Rg.V. IX.41.1, Sama Veda I.491, II.242 which is mentioned with abhorrence. Again " stromy gods who rush on like furious bulls and scatter the black skin." [ Rg.V. IX.73.5 ] The singers mention "the black skin, the hated of Indra", being swept ourtof heaven [ RgV. IX.73.5 ]. "Indra protected in battle the Aryan worshipper, he subdued the lawless for Manu, he conqured the black skin." [ Rg.V. I.130.8 ] [ Ann.114 ] The sacrificer poured out thanks to his god for "scattering the slave bands of black descent", and for stamping out " the vile Dasyan colour." [ Rg.V. II.20.7, II.12.4 ] [ ANn. 115 ] "Daasam varnam adharam" [ Rg.V. II.12.4 ] [ Muir part I, p.43, II, p.284, 323 etc. ] [ Ann. 114 ff ] Rakshas are aboriginals - Ravana = Rakshasendra . Rakshas = Ceylon aborigines since Chinese travellers and Sinhalese chroniclers Rakko or Yakko in the vernacular . Destruction of Cities -Indra, destructor of cities ----------------- The Aryan gods are proudly presented by the Vedic "sages" as the destroyeres of cities. Of these Indra, later considered an incarnation of the God Vishnu, is the prime culprit. Indra is called Puroha or Purandhara, `sacker of cities' - [ S & T 366 ] Indra overthrew 100 Puras made of stone ( asmanmayi ) for his worshipper Divodasa [ RgV 4.30.20 ], evidently belonging to Sambara who is a Dasa ( non-Aryan/demon ) of the mountain [ RgV 6.26.5 ] No regard was shown to the life of non-Aryans. An Aryan poet says, " Ye mighty ones [ Asvins ] what do you do there; why do you stay there among the people who are held in high esteem through not offering sacrifices; ignore them, destroy the life of the Panis " -- [ RgV I.83.3 ] Indra's Destruction of Harappa : The Vedic Harappa Hymn The famous Harappa hymn of the Rig Veda describes with praise Indra's destruction of Harappa : " In aid of Abhyavartin Cayamana, Indra destroyed the seed of Virasakha. "At Hariyupiyah he smote the vanguard of the Vrcivans, and the rear fled frightened." -- [ Rg.V. XXVII.5 ] This Hariyupiyah is likely to be the Harappa of tte Indus valley. Also the date of 1500 BC corresponds to the end of a sangam period when invasions by barbarians occurred. It is clear that which ‘Brahman” created the chaturvarnya.

O, Father of fire and death, day and dusk, love and hate Thou got enraged and Thou got alighted and appeased All animal passions, I have been taught Was it Thy leela, maya or passion great? And Thou, who created-at-will sent prophets and messengers great To Thy ‘Chosen Ones’ midst And Thou, the Compassionate One, so loved the world That Thou sent Thy ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (We are all Thy slaves, I assume). Master, Thou revealed the vedas, the code divine, To father Manu, Thy chosen one, Gifted Commandments great to Moses, the chosen one And Mohammed went to the caves with a pencil and notebook To take down Thy dictation of the code divine Father, to my dismay all the codes differed And created a perpetual hatred amongst Thy creatures O, Creator of Love and Hatred, prostrations to Thee. As per Thou codes divine we fought the holy wars Wars of the Crescent and the divine Cross We unmade those temples the pagans and kafirs built And built masjids of Thee, churches great. The temple of that pagan demi-god Ram we demolished And a beautiful masjid we built for Thee at it’s place We demolished the Masjid and rebuilt the mandir of Ram All for Thee and only for Thee, my adorable Father. The rivers Thou created has been filled with human blood We have made mountains out of demolished scrap and bodies dead And we fight like fiery bulls on Thy codes divine So that we can reach out to Thee and enjoy Thy kingdom great. Thou art the Father of all that is abstract and the concrete Of the swine and the cow, the Sudra, the kafir, the al-ameen and all None can rival or out rival Thee nor plumb Thy power on earth A billion salutations to Thee! .

  21. ===================================================== "when the intelligent class of a society devotes soley to study of dharma and guiding the society to become god conscious, then they are called barhmanas." ========================================================= You are perfectly all right. But when this intellingence is diverted to meet heinous self interests, subjugation and persecution of a people, they are not dealing with dharma at all, or their intelligent self do not know what is dharma. Manu's was a codified system of law and was directly handed down to him or revealed to him none other than the Ultimate Brahman, so the vedic scriptures say. It is not at all a splendid 'division of labour', as the stout defendants of it put it. It was created for enslaving a people, out of fear, and the protagonists obtained 'divine' sanction. "As the Brahmana sprang from (Brahman's) mouth, as he was the first-born, and as he possesses the Veda, he is by right the lord of this whole creation ." -- [ Manu.I.93 ] " Whatever exists in the world is, the property of the Brahmana; on account of the excellence of his origin the Brahmana is, indeed entitled to all ." -- [ Manu.I.99-100 ] "The wealth that is stolen by the Brahman tends to well being in the next life ; the wealth that is given to the Sudra tends to Hell." (Sukraniti) -- [ Tirth.118 ] " When a learned Brahmana has found treasure, deposited in former (times), he may take even the whole (of it); for he is the master of everything." " When the king finds treasure of old concealed in the ground let him give one half to Brahmanas and place the (other) half in his treasury." -- [ Manu.VIII.37-38 ] A Brahmana may confidently seize the goods of (his) Sudra (slave); for, as that (slave) can have no property, his master may take his possessions. -- [ Manu VIII.416-417 ] That the Brahmans were a `Master Race' and thus accordingly entitled to subjugate, exploit, exterminate or dominate other (`varnas') or Peoples. A divine', splendid division of labour.
  22. “Who bears ill-will to none and forgives all, Who, emancipated from ego-sense Of “I” and “Mine”, is compassionate and kind Who reacts nor to pain nor joy, who‘s ever Contented, resolute and master of self ’’ This could be the nuetral, passive or samanvaya state, where your mind is completely devoid of hatred, ego sense, desires and completely merged and in shanti with the Super Soul.
  23. SANATANA DHARMA Here people have been asking doubts about ‘Hinduism’, some genuine and some others with ulterior motives. They may note that there is no religion as ‘Hinduism’. The present day Hinduism is the some total of philosophies, beliefs, cultures, customs, traditions and rituals, handed down over to us through millennia. Even though corrupted, concocted and misinterpreted by the ruling oligarchs (so called DWIJAvested interests),the philosophy upon which Sanatana Dharma is built is as old as Homo Sapiens and stands out unrivalled. Unlike other religions, it evolved through a system of arguments and counter arguments, scientific reasoning and logical conclusions. Seers, sages, scholars and philosophers of the highest order of all ages have contributed to its evolution. The essence of it is Increate and Eternal. All the ancient cultures has contributed to it, be it native african, aztec, mayan, maories, or chinese. August philosophies like Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Taoism, Confucianism has also contributed to the continued process of evolution and reformation. The Concept “God” According to Sanatana Dharma ===================================== It is God is the Single Whole and EVERYTHING, concrete and abstract, is a part of IT. Whatever is seen, dreamed or imagined are nothing but manifestations of God. God is beyond space, time, causation and all distinctions like gender, race, species, living/non-living and form/formless. Since He is beyond space, He is omnipresent. Since He is beyond time, He is eternal. Since He is beyond the concept of form, He is with form, without form, both and neither. Every form is His and yet He is formless and beyond the concept of form. Similarly with all attributes conceivable by the mind. SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND The aim of life is to 'Seek' and “Realize” , the Ultimate Reality that is God. What is a Path (Dharma)? Every religion is a way to God. No way to God is superior to the other. However, depending on the mental temperament and cultural background of a person, one way might be better suited to him than another. This is difference arises due to the difference in the temperament of the person and cannot be used to judge the general efficacy of a path. "All paths are true. Your path for you. My path for me." This is the principle of Sanatan Dharma. But never, “My Path is superior to You” or “my IT is true, thine is not”. This differentiates modern religions from Sanatana Dharma. Neither , Sanatana Dharma treats those who follow other ‘paths’ as murderers and adulterators, pagans, heathens and kafirs. It does not restrict its followers from reading other books, knowing other paths or absorbing the eternal values, if any in those paths. It has no concept of blasphemy or conversion. IS SANATANA DHARMA POLYTHEISTIC? Is Sanatan Dharma polytheistic and pantheistic? Why do Indians worship stones ? Why do Indian Gods have fancy forms like elephant faced, monkey faced, with six faces, with four hands, etc ? Sanatan Dharma says that there is one and only one God.. God has no Forms, but one can worship him in any form, because all Forms are his creation. You may worship him in the form of Krishna or Jesus or Buddha, or a monkey. You are not seeking Buddha, or Jesus or Monkey, you are seeking Him who is formless through forms of your choice. To convey the message, the Hindu scriptures say that God has incarnated in the form of a pig, a tortoise, and a fish . No form is inferior or superior to Him. A Sanatana Dharmi could follow or worship God in Jesus Joseph Christ’s form. But concepts like ‘Only’ son , ‘Last Prophet’ or ‘only Jesus can save you’ is alien to this Dharma(Path). In fact, it goes one step ahead than other religions. Not only that it says there is only one God; it says that everything in this universe are manifestations of God. In Hinduism, there is no concept of "creation" in the literal sense of the word. It is God who becomes or manifests as the universe. The universe is not different from God. Everything is God. So, the devotee can take anything which appeals to him as a form of God, and worship Him. The omniscient God knows that the devotee is worshipping Him. The exact name and form do not matter. The attitude and sincerity is what matters. Similarly a Hindu does not worship a tree or a hill just because it is a tree or a hill. The tree or hill is considered a symbol of God and it is the transcendent God who is worshipped through the natural objects. It is the Creator who is worshipped through His creation. So Hinduism is not pantheistic. An abstract idea is expressed in a concrete form for the mind to grasp easily. For example, to depict the idea that God protects the devotee from the forces of evil, God is depicted with various weapons. Every small aspect of the forms of various Hindu Gods and Goddesses have a meaning behind them. There is a technical convention of symbology followed. For example, a bow indicated the mind; arrows indicate the senses; noose indicates death; drum indicates time; rosary indicates austerity. But for a person who understands, it is an excellent aid for worship. Also, there is a lot of myths, legends and nice stories associated with every form of God. This allows the devotee to get a very good hold on to the personality and also have a personal psychological relationship with the personality. And it was through parables, stories and mythology that the ancient sages conveyed messages to the less learned followers. When a devotee wants to worship God as a child, he may worship as "Krishna". If a devotee wants to worship God as the formless, without attributes, transcendent being, he may worship as "Brahman". These are all to suit the various temperaments of the devotees. By all these various forms and names, the devotee very well knows that He is worshipping God only. So Hinduism is monotheistic. What is Sanatan Dharma’s attitude to other faiths? Hinduism also accepts that all religions talk about the one God. It does not have concepts like the god of the Egyptians and the god of the Jews, which basically implies that there are many gods. Hinduism says that the god of the Hindus, Egyptians, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Aztecs, Mayans, Maoris, etc are all the same God. Sanatana Dharma says that all are worshipping the same God in different ways. All ways to worship God are accepted by God if performed with faith and devotion. WHO IS A SANATANA DHARMA FOLLOWER? There is one God, who has become everything in this universe. This implies that everyone and everything has to be considered with due regard. This talks about the basic unity of the whole universe. This implies that one had to strive for the welfare of the whole. There is no place for selfishness and narrowness. “My lord is the only true lord, all other’s are fake” philosophy creates hatred and fanaticism and bloodshed only. If you follow these principles, you are a Sanatana Dharmi. It does not matter whether you worship Krishna or Christ or Allah. Any religion or philosophy that does not create hatred to non-believers of it is acceptable.

  25. All opinions expressed are, unless otherwise stated, are my personal views. The verses quoted are from a book , compiled and edited by H.H. Shri Swami Chinmayananda of the Chinmaya Mission, and are classified as ‘ancient and anonymous’. To me the sruties also are ancient and anonymous. The sruties and smruties, when handed down from generation to be generation, got convenient additions and deductions, got corrupted, concocted and altered to suit vested interests. Sanatana Dharma, I do believe, is the some total of the essence of scientific and logical thinking of ancient seers, sages and scholars of the highest order. It evolved through logical reasoning, out of arguments and counter arguments by the seekers themselves. All ancient cultures –aztecs, mayans, maories, africans and the chinese have contributed to the essence of it Today’s ‘Hinduism’ is that which is developed and interpreted by ‘father’ Manu and great men of his ilk. Certainly Father of All Beings do not differentiate between His beings. That is the essence of Sanatana Dharma. These are expression of opinions only. I am neither a scholar, nor an authority, just a common vidyarthi.
