  1. Hare Krishna. I am serving Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna and am not interested in receiving the fruits of my work. I was dealing with the Swaminarayans and instead of supporting me you stand on the opposing side by questioning my preaching method. Then when I tell of my work, you call me egoistic. When one brother is engaged in battle, the others should support him and not question him. This is quality of a true Vaisnava.
  2. Hare Krishna. This is an important issue to understand. Are we the doer or not of what we do? Is Krishna the doer of creating over 5 billion people who eat cows. Is Krishna the doer of creating religions which order cow killing? Nothing can happen without Krishna knowing, but he does not interfere with our freedom. Which can be used for serving him or disserving him. He is in the heart of the all and in the devotees he is helping them advance in devotional service onto him. And he is also in the heart of the demons and helping them advance in demonic life. Thus we are the doer to some degree of whatever we want. Krishna just helps us in whatever direction we want to go. If Krishna was the doer of everything we do, then we wouldn't have cow killing and other demonic values. It's because of our doing that we have ignorance, irreligious values, greed, lust, anger and so on. Why do some people suffer more than others? Is Krishna the doer? No. We are the doer of our destiny. If we behave badly now then we will suffer in the future. "The tendency of a particular man toward work is determined by the modes of material nature which he has acquired. " (Srila Prabhupada.) We acquire a particular mode of nature due to our doings. "Thus I have explained to you the most confidential of all knowledge. Deliberate on this fully, and then do what you wish to do." (Lord Krishna BG 18.63) Here Lord Krishna states that we can do whatever we wish, he doesn't force us. Thus we can become demons or devotees. We can preach and make people into devotees or the demons will preach and make people into demons. In Kali Yuga, there are more demon preachers than devotee preachers and thus more demons in the world. Lord Krishna is helping both the preachers. To think that we can sit around and do nothing as Krishna is the doer of everything is ignorace.
  3. Hare Krishna. I am the first person to make available the Bhagavad-gita as it is audio to everyone in the 3 worlds, also in 6 languages. Thousands of ignorant people around the world now know that Krishna is the God according to the Vedic religion. Thousands have become krishna conscious as a result of listening to one of my recordings and visiting my site which has over 60,000 hits per month. The only site with the Bhagavad-gita as it is audio in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Arabic, Spanish, and French. The only site where the Bhagavad-gita book can be read in Arabic, also the Srimad Bhagavatam in Arabic (4 cantos). If I didn't understand Srila Prabhuapda then what made me do all this? Do you know any devotee who has made available the Bhagavad-gita as it is audio free to everyone in the 3 worlds in 6 langauges? If a preacher can make just one person krishna conscious then his mission is a success. I have made thousands, but I agree that I still have a long way to go.
  4. Hare Krishna. I am not initiated, but I follow Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna (Bhagavad-gita). Preaching to the ignorant and demonic is the need of the hour.
  5. Hare Krishna. I very much appreciate the feedback from others. I agree that I may sound direct, harsh, and even seem forceful to some. In Kali Yuga people are so ignorant and dumb, they need to be told directly what is right and wrong. Otherwise they will not get the message. If you tell your children slowly not to eat too much candy. Will they listen? But if you shout at them, will they listen? There are so many bogus Gurus and sects who call themselves followers of sanatan dharma. I feel that only a direct approach will bring them out of ignorance. The important point is that a preacher must always quote from authorized scriputres and statements made by a bonafide Gurus like Srila Prabhuapda. Which is what I am doing. Kamlesh Patel www.Gitamrta.org
  6. Hare Krishna. "They'll talk of Krsna, so many things but they're not devotees. Just like Kamsa. They may talk of Krsna or think of Krsna, but they don't accept Krsna as the Supreme. Therefore they are demons. This is the test... His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada" I have been to the homes of some BAPS followers and guess what? There is no Krishna in the home, not even in their temple. When I asked them why they don't have Krishna in the home. They say that Swaminarayan is the supreme and so there is need for Krishna. This is the result of bogus Gurus who concoct their own God and deviate from the Vedic scriptures. Pramukh Swami has also been to these homes with no Krishna and he didn't complain. What non-sense is this? The satanam dharma is based on the Vedic scriptures and not the Vachanamrut or Pramukh Swami. Anyone who deviates from the Vedic scriptures should be rejected. Don't be fooled by the expensive beautiful temples built by Pramukh Swami. Even Heranakashipur had built more beautiful buildings than BAPS. He was a demon. There are some in the swaminarayan movement who accept Krishna as the supreme, but most are brainwashed into rejecting Krishna as the supreme. Lord Krishna says in the Gita, we should worship him in the Krishna form, so if you accept swaminarayan was Krishna then why don't you follow what Krishna says in the Gita? Only worship Krishna. Swaminarayan himself states in the Sikhsapatri that we should only worship Krishna. BAPS is a bogus movement that is making it's followers deviate from the Vedic scriptures. I have noticed that those who are new to the swaminarayan movement are not so anti-krishna, but those who are senior are anti-krishna. That is the result of a bogus organisation. Follow sanatan dharma not a man made dharma.
  7. Hare Krishna. Srila Prabhupada clearly stated that it's because of so many bogus Gurus that the Vedic religion is now a minority in the world. It's because of sects like Swaminarayan that so many people are being deceived and mislead into a movement that rejects the authority of the Vedic scriptures and rejects Lord Krishna as the supreme. One who watches demons demonizing the gullables is worst than the demon. Srila Prabhupada stated that anyone who mocks Krishna should be rejected, however great he may be. "That Krsna is the supreme authority is accepted by the whole world, not only at present, but from time immemorial, and the demons alone reject Him." Srila Prabhuapda BG Chapter 4 text 4 purport.
  8. "I hold these eight scriptures as superior and true authority on our philosophy and religion. My disciples desirous of salvation shall listen to all these eight scriptures, and the Dwijas or twice born shall study, preach and propagate them to others." So why don't you follow this advice? Why do you worship Swaminarayan instead of Lord Krishna? Why do you place Krishna on the side of the altar? The Bhagavad-gita clearly states that only Lord Krishna should be worshipped, but you don't accept this truth. The Swaminarayans not only reject the authority of the Vedic scriptures but also have the nerve to say they follow the Vedic scriptures. According to the Vedic scriptures, Lord Krishna is the supreme. Since you reject this truth, you reject the Vedic scriptures. So don't be silly in saying you follow the Vedic scripturs. The sripture of the Swaminarayan is the Vachanamrut which rejects Krishna as the supreme and this scripture was written 300 years ago. The Vedic scriptures are those that were reveleaded at creation and written down 5000 years ago, not 300 years ago. You cannot accept the Vachanumrut and the Bhagavad-gita as they both differ in the most important subject matter, who the supreme is. Lord Brahma who is the first created living being states in Brahma Samhita: “Krishna who is known as Govinda is the supreme godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and he is the prime cause of all causes.” (Brahma Samhita 5.1) After Describing various incarnations of the Lord such as Rama, Balrama, Vamana, Nrsimha, and Vishnu, Sukadeva Goswami states: “All of the above mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions of portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Krishna is the original Personality of Godhead” (Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.28) Lord Shiva in the Gita Mahatmya states: “Only one God – Krishna, the son of Devaki (verse 7) In the Padma Purana it is stated: “By scrutinizingly reviewing all the revealed scriptures and judging them again and again, it is now concluded that Lord Narayana is the supreme absolute truth, and thus he alone should be worshipped” In the Skanda Purana it states: “In the material world, which is full of darkness and dangers, combined with birth and death and full of different anxieties, the only way to get out of the great entanglement is to accept loving transcendental devotional service to Lord Vasudeva.” The position of Krishna as God is confirmed by great personalities like Narada, Asita, Devela, Parasara, Brahma, and Shiva.
  9. In the Planet of the Apes Movie, the mentality of the Apes is as follows: 1. Humans were considered as animals by the apes. 2. Animals don’t have a soul. 3. The ape scripture is supreme. 4. The ape scripture states that the apes should not accept any other scripture. 5. The ape scripture states that only the apes are capable of ruling. 6. The ape scripture states that only the apes’ way of life is best. 7. The ape scripture states that only the ape God is real, all others Gods are false. 8. The ape is the most intelligent and all others are less intelligent. 9. The apes will rule the Earth forever. ·When the human (Charleston Heston) says to the apes that humans existed before the apes, the apes totally reject it. ·When the human says they ruled Earth before the apes, the apes totally reject it. ·When the human says his scriptures are far more superior to the ape scriptures. The apes totally reject it. ·When the human says he has a soul, the apes look down his throat and as the soul could not be seen, the apes reject it. Do you see any similarities between ape mentality and the mentality of one man created religions of today?
  10. Does God Want Man to Eat Meat? When discussing the topic of killing (meat eating) with Christians and Muslims. They ultimately justify killing animals for food by pointing to their scriptures. Thus the main reason why man kills for a living (meat eating) is religion. The Bible and Koran both state that animals are food. They both claim that their scripture is the word of God and thus there is absolutely nothing wrong in killing innocent animals. This raises the question does God want man to eat meat? This question can be answered by looking at the health, economic, and violence issues. 1. Health Is meat good for us? It’s a scientific fact that vegetarians are healthier than people who eat meat. Scientific studies show that vegetarians have a much lower risk of suffering from diseases like cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure and other health disorders compared to meat eaters. A major study reported in the British Medical Journal in 1994 found that, of 5000 meat-eaters and 6000 non-meat eaters, vegetarians had 40% less risk of cancer and 30% less risk of heart disease than the meat-eaters and were 20% less likely to die of any cause (Oxford Vegetarian Study). A US study of 50,000 vegetarians showed a very low rate of cancer (Seventh Day Adventist Study, Massachusetts). It has been estimated that by following a low-fat vegetarian diet, the risk of food poisoning is decreased by 80%. A balanced vegetarian diet is better for humans than one that includes meat (from TIME magazine, July 2002). There is overwhelming scientific evidence to prove that a vegetarian diet is much more healthier than a meat based diet. Eating meat can seriously damage your health. What about Protein? Most people are brainwashed into thinking that meat is the only source of protein. The simple fact is that there is plenty of protein in a vegetarian diet too. Thus would God want man to eat food that will increase the chances of suffering from major diseases, reduce the quality of life, and reduce the life span? Absolutely not. Would you want your children to eat food that is not good for them? No? Similarly God doesn’t want his children, you and me, to eat food that is bad for our health. 2. Economic Does it make economic sense to raise animals for food? It takes at least 17 kg of corn, beans, grains etc., many gallons of water, and some time to produce just 1 kg of beef. This is like investing $17 in a bank term deposit and withdrawing $1 at maturity. The 17 kg of corn, beans, and grains would feed at least 20 people while the 1 kg of beef would feed at most 2 people. Does it makes any sense to feed an animal 17 kg of vegetation, many gallons of water, provide shelter, allow some time, and then cut it’s throat and kill it to produce 1 kg of meat? Would it be better just to take the 17 kg of vegetation and feed on it directly rather than having it go through an animal and then feeding on the animal a much reduced quantity of food? The reason why somewhere in the World a child dies of starvation every two seconds is because of slaughterhouse mentality as described above. If the millions of acres of land which is used to grow food for animals who are destined for the slaughterhouse was used to grow food for humans directly then there be at least 17 times more food than currently. Thus there would be no poverty in the World. About 70% of the crops grown in the US are fed to animals and not to humans. The mentality is that convert each 17 kg of vegetation to 1 kg of meat so that at most 2 people can eat instead of at least 20. Also there is the thrill of killing the animals, which is very much liked by the average person. If everyone in the world became a vegetarian, there would be no such thing as poverty. But unfortunately the majority of the humans simply can’t give up the thrill of killing innocent animals and so the children will have to continue dying due to starvation at the rate of 2 every seconds. 3. Violence Is violence related to meat eating? What do all the terrorists have in common? What do all the violent criminals have in common? What do all the murdered have in common? The simple answer is that they are all killers (meat eaters). Have you heard of vegetarian terrorists? Have you heard of vegetarian criminals? Have you heard of a vegetarian murderer? It would be extremely rare to find a violent person who is a vegetarian. The violent people in the world are meat eaters. How does meat eating make one violent? By killing for a living (meat eating), the human mind develops a taste for killing, which leads to a mentality of injury to others. The result is violence. People who kill animals will also kill people. This is a fact as the terrorists, and the most violent criminals are all meat eaters. The vegetarians don’t kill for a living (no meat) and so their mind develops a taste for non-injury to other living beings. The result is no violence, period. The US government alone spends billions of dollars each year on combating terrorism. They think by going after those with guns and bombs will solve this problem. They totally ignore the root cause of violence. Which is a mentality of violence, caused by killing to a living (meat eating). The simple formula for stopping terrorism and violence is: No Meat= No killing = No mentality of violence = No terrorism/No violence What about killing the plants? There is a big difference between cutting grass and the necks of chickens. Killing plants and animals is not the same.
  11. Hare Krishna. This is a good question and it should be understood well by all. The Vedic scriptures clearly state that there is only ONE God, Lord Krishna who's incarnations include Lord Ram, and Lord Vishnu. It's because of so many bogus Gurus that the Vedic religion has become a minority in this age. Until 5000 years ago it was the only religion for millions of years. In the future it will once again become the only religion. With the creation of each new sect by bogus Gurus, the Vedic religion becomes diluted and diminishes. One should only follow the Vedic scriptures and not any man made or recent scriptures created by bogus Gurus. Lord Krishna himself makes it clear that he is the only God in the Bhagavad-gita, the essense of all Vedic scriptures. “Those who are devotees of other gods and who worship them with faith actually worship only me, O son of Kunti, but they do so in a wrong way. I am the only enjoyer and master of all sacrifices. Therefore, those who do not recognize my true transcendental nature fall down” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.24) I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable OM. I am also the Rig, the Sama and the Yajur Vedas”. (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita. 9.17) “The whole cosmic order is under me. Under my will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under my will it is annihilated at the end.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita. 9.8) "I am the Supersoul, seated in the hearts of all living entities. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings." (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.20) "One can understand me as I am, as the supreme personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when, by such devotion, one is fully conscious of me, one can enter into the kingdom of God." (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 18.55) "Fools deride me when I descend in the human form. They do not know my transcendental nature as the Supreme Lord of all that be." (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.11)
  12. Hare Krishna. The reason why sanatan dharma has been declining in this age is because of so many bogus Gurus, who instead of following the Vedic scriptures and spreading them. These bogus Gurus write new scriptures and create new Gods. The result is that the youngsters get very confused and give up religion all together. Until 5000 years ago, there was only one religion in the whole world, the Vedic religion. But today we have so many religions and even within the Vedic religion there are so many differences. This is the result of bogus Gurus concocting new scriptures and Gods. That's why Lord Krishna concludes the Bhagavad-gita with: "Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear. " (Lord Krishna, BG 18.66) In the short term, the swaminarayan movement may seem good as it teaches good values, but it denies the authority of the Vedic scriptures which state that Krishna is the supreme. And it has added a new God, Swaminarayan, and new scripture (Vachanumrut) which is anti-Vedic by saying that Swaminarayan is the supreme. This actually makes the youth more confused and the result is that Hindu girls will sleep with and marry the terrorists, then bear children who will become first class terrorists and haters of sanatan dharma. Today if you ask 10 Hindus who is God, you will get 10 different answers. This is caused by bogus Gurus who have concocted so many Gods. So don't deviate from the Vedic scriptures, if you truly want to spread sanatan dharma and stop the Hindu girls from marrying the terrorists. The bhagavad-gita is the essence of all Vedic knowledge. Follow it and reject any Guru who deviates from it's teachings. Thus worship only Lord Krishna, only Krishna. Follow the Bhagavad-gita, srimad bhagavatam, the 18 Puranas, and the 108 Upanishads. Not any other scripture, this means don't follow the Vachanamrut. If you don't follow the Vedic scriptures then you are no different then the terrorists who are alwasy looking for Hindu girls to marry and convert, to destroy sanatan dharma. Please visit this site and ask others, especially the young, and learn about the Vedic religion. www.Gitamrta.org This site has a section on comparitive religions, which is unique and very important.
  13. "Those miscreants who are grossly foolish, lowest among mankind, whose knowledge is stolen by illusion, and who partake of the atheistic nature of demons, do not surrender unto Me." (Lord Krishna, Bg 7.15) When people mock krishna or deny the authority of the Vedic scriptures, then one must stand up to them. The swaminarayan movement is not based on the Vedic scriptures and thus it cannot be called a part of sanatam dharma. This site is for discussion of sanatam dharma and not the bogus swaminarayan movement. We didn't invite you here, you came gate crashing. So we will stand up for Lord krishna and sanatan dharma. BAPS is no different than the Moguls and British who ruled India and tried to destroy sanatan dharma. Those who have some common sense will see through BAPS, in that they are making the ignorant Hindus even more ignorant, by making them deny the authority of the Vedic scriptures. Swaminaryan is not even mentioned in any Vedic scripture. He was actually a Vaisnava who himself worshipped Lord Krishna and asked his followers to do the same. But BAPS has diverted away from swaminarayan's original teachings. "All human beings on this Earth shall worship him [Lord Krishna] knowing that there is no other way for ultimate redemption than devotion to him. (Swaminarayan, 113) "None shall practice devotion to Shree Krishna while disregarding religious tenets nor shall he give up the worship of Shri Krishna for fear of calumny by the ignorant." (Swaminarayan, 39) "My disciples shall give in donation one tenth of their income or food grains, if that be their agricultural income, in the service of Lord Krishna. Those with insufficient means shall donate one-twentieth of their income, either in kind or money." (Swaminarayan, 147) You should give the 50 pounds to Lord Krishna every year for Janamastmi, this is the order of Swaminarayan.
  14. Sanatan Dharma is based on the Vedic scriptures like the Bhagavad-gita, Srimad Bhagvatam, the 18 Puranas, the 108 Upanishads and the 4 Vedas. The Bhagavad-gita is the essence of all Vedic knowledge. The Vachanamrut is not part of the Vedic scriptures. So you can follow your Vachanamrut but you cannot call your self a Hindu sect as you don't follow the Vedic scriptures. The Vedic knowledge was given to Lord Brahma by Lord Vishnu at creation, trillions of years and not just 300 years ago. Principles of religion are laid down in the Vedas, and any discrepancy in the matter of properly executing the rules of the Vedas makes one irreligious. In the Bhagavatam it is stated that such principles are the laws of the Lord. Only the Lord can manufacture a system of religion. The Vedas are also accepted as originally spoken by the Lord Himself to Brahma, from within his heart. Therefore, the principles of dharma, or religion, are the direct orders of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. These principles are clearly indicated throughout the Bhagavad-gita. The swaminarayan movement denies the authority of the Vedic scriptures and thus it should be rejected by those who want to follow sanatan dharma, the eternal religion. “One who executes his duties according to my injunction and who follows this teaching faithfully, without envy, becomes free from the bondage of fruitive actions. But those who, out of envy, disregard these teachings and do not practice them regularly, are to be considered bereft of all knowledge, befooled, and doomed to ignorance and bondage.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 3.31-32)
  15. Jai shree krishna. Baps was not set-up by Swaminaryan, so don't call yourself a follower of Swaminaryan. The Vadtal swaminarayan movement is the original swaminarayan movement and thus only they are the real followers of swaminarayan, not BAPS. Which has deviated from the orignal teachings of Swaminarayan. We don't reject swaminarayan, we are actually standing up for Swaminarayan. We follow his teachings 100%, the Sikhsapatri. Which states Krishna is the supreme and only he should be worshipped.
  16. Jai shree krishna. First of all, BAPS is not the movement set-up by Swaminarayan. So they can say whatever thay want, they do not represent the movement created by Swaminarayan himself. Baps does not represent the followers of swaminarayan. It deviates from the original teachings of swaminarayan. Swmainarayan was a Vaisnava who worshipped Lord Krishna and asked his followers to do the same. This can be proven by the fact that in all the temples built by Swaminarayan, Lord Krishna's deity is in the center but in BAPS temples Lord Krishna is not in the center. Baps is kicking out Krishna. The message of the Sikhsapatri is clear, worship Krishna only. Swaminarayan proved this by worshipping Krishna himself and asked his followers to do the same (Sikhsapatri). Sanatan Dharma is based on the Vedic scriptures, the Bhagavad-gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, the 19 Puranas and 108 Upanishads and other scriptures. Since BAPS is not based on any of these Vedic scriptures, it's not part of Sanatan Dharma. Thus does not represent sanatan dharma. Swaminarayan is not mentioned in any Vedic scriptures, he was a great Guru who taught good values, but he was not God. His teachings should be followed but he should not be worshipped as God. Baps ignores the authority of the Vedic scriptures, this alone proves that it's not part of sanatan dharma. They may build great temples and have millions of followers, but so does Islam, and Sai Baba who also is calimed as God by his followers. In every Kali Yuga, there are so many bogus Gurus who claim to be God. Bagwan Rajnesh is another self proclaimed God who had more riches than Pramukh Swami. He had 87 Rolls Royces and thousands of followers at the height of his realm. Ravana had millions of followers and beautiful cities before he was killed by Lord Ram. Heranakashipur had millions of followers and had more power than the demigods but he was also eventually killed by Lord Narasima. So having power to build great buildings and having millions of followers does not always come with Gods blessings. Anyone can claim to be God, but who has the backing of great personalities like Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva, Narede Muni, and the authorized Vedic scriptures? Anyone who does not preach from the Vedic scriptures, and who claims to be represent sanatan dharma, is a bogus Guru, and should be immediately rejected. Don't be lured by free food and nice buildings. Even the atheists have built beautiful buildings. Lord Brahma who is the first created living being states in Brahma Samhita: “Krishna who is known as Govinda is the supreme godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and he is the prime cause of all causes.” (Brahma Samhita 5.1) After Describing various incarnations of the Lord such as Rama, Balrama, Vamana, Nrsimha, and Vishnu, Sukadeva Goswami states: “All of the above mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions of portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Krishna is the original Personality of Godhead” (Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.28) Lord Shiva in the Gita Mahatmya states: “Only one God – Krishna, the son of Devaki (verse 7) In the Padma Purana it is stated: "By scrutinizingly reviewing all the revealed scriptures and judging them again and again, it is now concluded that Lord Narayana is the supreme absolute truth, and thus he alone should be worshipped” In the Skanda Purana it states: “In the material world, which is full of darkness and dangers, combined with birth and death and full of different anxieties, the only way to get out of the great entanglement is to accept loving transcendental devotional service to Lord Vasudeva.” The position of Krishna as God is confirmed by great personalities like Narada, Asita, Devela, Parasara, Brahma, and Shiva. If BAPS followers want to prove anything they must quote from Vedic scriptures and not their concocted scriptures like the Vachnamrut. If you cannot quote from the Vedic scriptures then just sit down, read, and follow the Sikhsapatri. Chant hare krishna. "All my followers shall go to the temple every evening and there they shall sing loudly songs in praise of Lord Krishna, the beloved of Radha. (Swaminarayan, 63)
  17. "Does hare-krishna have a Guru exactly compariable to PRAMUKH SWAMI MAHARAJ? I clearly doubt it." Sanatam dharma is based on the Vedic scriptures like the Bhagavad-gita, and not the Vachnamrut which was not even written by Swaminarayan. The Vedic scriptures are eternal and were delivered by God directly at creation, not 300 years ago. ISKCON is only based on Gurus who follow and teach from the Vedic scriptures, so it does not have a Guru like Pramukh Swami who does not preach from the authorized Vedic scriptures nor the Sikhsapatri. Pramukh Swami is not even part of the original movement created by Swaminarayan (vadtal movement). If Swaminarayan were to come back to life today, he would take darshan at a Vadtal movement temple and not any BAPS temple. Srila Prabhipada is the founder of ISKCON, he is the only Indian Guru who has been able to make the westerners not just into first class devotees but first class preachers of Sanatan Dharma. He has a following of millions who are mostly non-Indians. The Swaminarayan movement is only making the ignorant hindus into it's followers, mostly Gujaratis, as Pramukh Swami is a Gujarati himself. Building temples, whether ISKCON or Swaminarayan is good but the Vedic scriptures must be followed otherwise it's just a pretty building which even the atheist can build. The Taj Mahal is more beautiful than any temple, but was it built with God's blessing? It is a building signifying a man's lust for his wife. So just because beautiful buildings are built within a short span of time, it does not mean it has the blessings of God. God satisfies the desires of the devotees and the demons. Swaminarayan himself worshipped and stated that Krishna is the Lord of us all in the Sikhsapatri. The hare-krishna followers are following the Sikhsapatri perfectly and thus are more loyal to swaminarayan than BAPS, which is not following the Sikhsapatri. Ravana, Kans, and heranakashipur were very powerful who had built beautiful cities with the wealth they had pondered. They achieved more material opulence than BAPS. But it did not come with God's blessings. Lord Krishna descended and kill them all. The Vachnamrut does not say to ignore Krishna, but this is what BAPS is doing. The message of the Sikhsapatri is simple, worship and serve Lord Krishna. That is what the hare krishas are doing. Unfortunately BAPS is not. “My followers who shall observe strictly the rules of the ethics as prescribed by the scriptures shall derive happiness here and hereafter; and those who want only transgress them and behave willfully shall suffer great distress here and in the life hereafter.” Shree Swaminarayan. “One Should observe the codes of the Shikshapatri at any cost” Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Who is God? The Paramatma – Shree Krishna who is supreme, Parabrahman, Bhagwan or Purushottam and who is the cause of all manifestations is the Lord of us all. He is to be worshipped for final redemption. (108) Who Should We Worship? All human beings on this Earth shall worship him [Lord Krishna] knowing that there is no other way for ultimate redemption than devotion to him. (113) None shall practice devotion to Shree Krishna while disregarding religious tenets nor shall he give up the worship of Shri Krishna for fear of calumny by the ignorant. (39) Who Should We Meditate Upon? I meditate in my heart on Shree Krishna, Brindavan’s gay divine player on left is Radha and in whose bosom dwells Lakshmi (1) Lord Krishna, his incarnations and his idols alone are to be meditated upon, but a human being or a deva even though he may be a devotee or knower of Brahman shall never be resorted to as an object of meditation. (115) Who Should We Sing To? All my followers shall go to the temple every evening and there they shall sing loudly songs in praise of Lord Krishna, the beloved of Radha. (63) Who Should We Offer Food To? They shall then offer food to God and take prasad only from the offered dish. Thus, in a spirit of supreme love and dedication they should serve Shree Krishna. (58) Those votaries shall never drink water or eat roots, fruits or like without offering the same to Shree Krishna. (60) Which Deity Should We Worship? They shall worship Shri Krishna’s idol made of either stone or metal or a shaligram with offerings procurable within ones own means, and then chant his holy name. (56) What Should We Do at the Beginning of Each Day? They shall then reverently bow down to the images of Radha and Krishna and chant the holy name of the lord in accordance with their usual and normal procedures, only, after which they should start their daily routines. (54) All my disciples shall awake before sunrise and after meditating on Shree Krishna shall proceed to discharge their bowels. (49) Who Should We Give Donations To? My disciples shall give in donation one tenth of their income or food grains, if that be their agricultural income, in the service of Lord Krishna. Those with insufficient means shall donate one-twentieth of their income, either in kind or money. (147) Should A Wife Serve Her Husband? The female followers shall serve their husbands, be they blind or ailing or poor or impotent in the manner in which they worship and serve God; and under no circumstances shall they speak harshly to them. (159) The Final Prayer of Shree Swaminarayan May Lord Shree Krishna, the destroyer of all miseries of his devotees, the defender of Dharma and Bhakti and the giver of all cherished objects, spread his goodness and glory every where. 18. As predicted 5000 years ago, In Kali Yuga there will be so many bogus Gurus (or their followers) who will claim to be God. Simply ask them to show the Universe in their mouth or expand into 16,108 forms, or lift a mountain. If they can't then you know they are bogus. If the Guru is not alive today, then did he do any of these things when they were alive? Anyone can claim to be God, but who can actually prove it? To protect innocent people from imposters, Arjuna asked Lord Krishna to prove his divinity. Lord Krishna grants Arjuna divine vision and reveals his spectacular unlimited forms as the cosmic universe. Thus he conclusively establishes his divinity. “Arjuna saw in that universal form unlimited mouths, unlimited eye, unlimited wonderful visions. The form was decorated with many celestial ornaments and bore many diving upraised weapons. He wore celestial garlands and garments, and many divine scents were smeared over his body. All was wondrous, brilliant, unlimited, all expanding. If hundreds of thousands of suns were to rise at once into the sky, their radiance might resemble the effulgence of the supreme person in that universal form.” (Bhagavad-Gita 11.10-12) In each incarnation, Lord Krishna proved that he was God, all the details can be found in the Srimad Bhagavatam. Here we will focus on his incarnation 5000 years ago. Lord Krishna performed miracles that no other being can perform. • When Lord Krishna was 7 years old, he lifted a mountain (26 miles in perimeter) and held it up with his one hand for 7 days. Witnessed by tens of thousands of people who were standing underneath the mountain. • Lord Krishna expanded his body into 16,108 forms. Which means he duplicated his body into 16,108 identical bodies. • Lord Krishna transformed himself into others. This means he can make himself into a copy of anyone. • Lord Krishna made the sun rise and fall at his will. • Lord Krishna granted Arjuna divine vision and reveled his spectacular unlimited form as the cosmic universe. In which Arjuna could see the various forms of Lord Krishna, and unlimited Planets while being seated in one place. He was also shown the past, present, and future. • When Lord Krishna’s mother looked into his mouth, he showed her the cosmic creation within his mouth. She could see unlimited Planets in the Lord’s mouth. • Lord Krishna multiplied food. When 100 hungry holy men were visiting a place, they asked a nearby homeowner to prepare lunch for them. But the home had no food except one grain of rice. The householder prayed to Lord Krishna for help, and the Lord appeared outside their door. Upon entering the home, he was told of the 100 hungry holy men who were coming to the house for lunch. Lord Krishna ate the one-grain of rice and immediately the 100 hungry holy men who were on their way to the house, felt their stomachs filling up. They then called off the lunch visit. Lord Krishna is within our hearts and so he can satisfy all our desires from within. • When a woman called Draupadi was disrobed in a court of kings, she called out to Lord Krishna for help and he supplied her with an unlimited sari and thus she could not be disrobed. • Many atheists tried to kill Lord Krishna, but Lord Krishna very easily defeated them all and also gave them on the spot liberation. Lord Krishna is most merciful; he gives liberation to those who try to kill him. The Lord can give on the spot liberation; one need not wait for the Day of Judgment. • Lord Krishna brought back to life many dead people including the six children of Devaki. • Lord Krishna cured diseased people including transforming a hunchback woman into a most beautiful woman in return for offering sandalwood pulp to the Lord. • Lord Krishna killed all the wicked Kings who were tormenting and harassing the public. People were saved in this very life and didn’t have to wait for the Day of Judgment. Lord Krishna has 64 qualities, which are all mentioned in the Vedic scriptures. Supreme Father: “It should be understood that all species of life, o son of Kunti, are made possible by birth in this material nature, and that I am the seed giving father” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 14.4) “I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.17) Supreme Creator: Lord Krishna is the origin of all. “The whole cosmic order is under me. By my will it is manifested again and again, and by my will it is annihilated at the end” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.8) “Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being, moving or unmoving, that can exist without me” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.39) "I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts" (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.8) "Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both the origin and the dissolution" (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 7.6) Supreme Controller: Lord Krishna is the supreme controller. "I give heat, and I withhold and send forth the rain" (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.19) “With a single fragment of myself I pervade and support this entire universe” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.42) Supreme Maintainer: “The splendor of the sun, which dissipates the darkness of the whole world, comes from me. And the splendor of the moon and the splendor of fire are also from me” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 15.12) “I enter into each planet, and by energy they stay in orbit” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 15.13) “This material nature, which is one of my energies is working under my direction” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.10) Omnipresent: Lord Krishna is omnipresent, meaning he is present everywhere. “I am the supersoul, O Arjuna, seated in the hearts of all living entities, I am the beginning, the middle, and the end of all beings” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.20) Omnipotent: Lord Krishna is omnipotent, meaning he is the greatest. "There is no truth beyond Me. Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread" (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 7.7) Omniscient: Lord Krishna knows the past, present, and the future. “O Arjuna, I know everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come. I also know all living entities" (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 7.26) “Many, many births both you and I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you cannot!" (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 4.5) There is Only One God: “Those who are devotees of other gods and who worship them with faith actually worship only me, O son of Kunti, but they do so in a wrong way. I am the only enjoyer and master of all sacrifices. Therefore, those who do not recognize my true transcendental nature fall down” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.24)
  19. Hare Krishna. I have been watching Aastha with my wife for about 4 months now and it's just great. All day devotional programs with lectures on Bhagavad-gita, Bhagavatam, and krishna kirtan, Yoga. From Rameshbhai Oza, ISKCON Gurus, and many other great preachers. Most of the programs are in Hindi, but some in Gujarati and English. Currently I am watching live Bhagavatam Katha by Rameshbhai Oza from India. Just incredible. Everyone should have Aastha. I also have ETV Gujarati which shows live festivals from India. Like the Puri Ratha Yatra, Navratri, Janmasti from Dwarka and so on. Aastha is available on Direct TV in the US, BskyB in Uk and also in Canada. Get rid of the demonic Bollywood channels like ZEE, TV ASIA, B4U and so on. They are all demonic. Replace them with Aastha.
  20. Hare Krishna. Arjuna was in a war like situation, and so are we. His enemies were the soldiers on the other side and his own mind. Our enemy is our mind which is covered with lust, greed, anger, desires, ignorance. What helped Arjuna get through his war is what will help us get through our war. Why should I bother with the Bhagavad-Gita? How does it apply to me today? What is the Bhagavad-Gita? The Bhagavad-Gita is the only word of God in person. It is the conversation between a man called Arjuna and God himself in the human form, Lord Krishna. The conversation took place in Kurukshetra (India), more than 5000 years ago. Arjuna was a typical person in the material world. He was in a dilemma as he was forgetful of his real duties in life. Therefore Krishna spoke the sacred teachings of the Bhagavad-Gita for the upliftment and purification of Arjuna and all humanity. Life is a War This world is full of suffering for everyone, either today or tomorrow, know-one can escape pain and suffering. Ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and violence, represents the soldiers on the opposing side in our war. Everyone is experiencing turmoil and confusion in their lives, the result of which is living a lusty, materialist, and ignorant life, a wasted rare human birth. Everyday we are faced with decisions in our lives Shall I do this or do that? Will he/she be ok? Shall I buy now or wait? How much shall I spend? When will I do it? When will I go? Which should I choose? Who should I choose? When will I retire? Will it work out? And so on….. The real enemy of Arjuna was his mind rather than the soldiers on the other side. We are faced with the same situation. Our own mind is the greatest enemy, which is constantly tricking us into thinking that life is all about material enjoyment and sense gratification. Everyday we are faced with decisions, which will affect our future. Thus everyday is a battle with ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and anger. If we can win the daily battles for some time then we have entered into spiritual life and the war over ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and anger has been won. And at the end of this life we will enter into the kingdom of God with eternal spiritual life. In order for us to win our war, we need the same knowledge that Arjuna was given by Lord Krishna. The Bhagavad-Gita. By understanding the Bhagavad-Gita, the decisions we make in everyday life will alter our lives for the better and the result will be peace and happiness even in this life. And after this life there is guaranteed eternal peace for those who understand and practice the Bhagavad-Gita. If we don’t have the knowledge of the Bhagavad-Gita than all our decisions are simply based on speculation and thus the result will be speculative. Sometimes the decision we made earlier will turn out to be correct, and sometimes incorrect. More often our speculative decisions will turn out to be wrong and we will continue with a life of ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and anger. At the time of death if we have a materialist mindset then we will once again have to go through this hellish life with all the problems. We may even fall down again into the animal kingdom and then have to go through 8 million births before we get another human birth. By understanding and practicing the principles outlined in the Bhagavad-Gita we can minimize the affects, control, and avoid some of the problematic situations in our life. The Problems in Our Lives Your spouse may be cheating you Your spouse may not be happy Your marriage may end at any time You may lose your job at any time Your business may go down at any time You may be kicked out of your house at any time Your savings will run out at any time Your health may deteriorate at any time You may develop cancer at any time You may catch AIDS at any time Your children may become diseased at any time Your loved one may die at any time And so on.. The above list of decisions and problems are real and affects everyone. The Bhagavad-Gita can truly help us all overcome the complexities of material life. What Difference Will The Bhagavad-Gita Make? Whether you understand and practice the Bhagavad-Gita or not will make a significant difference to your current lifestyle and the next. If you think life is all about mating, eating and enjoying, then your next body will be in the animal kingdom and then your life will be to simply eat, sleep, mate, and defend. If you like exposing your body to others then your next body will be that of a tree and you will be able to stand naked in one place for thousands of years, exposed to all. If you eat anything and everything then your next body will be that of a hog who eats anything and everything including stool.
  21. Jai shree krishna. You are not ignorant, the others who say chant and everything will be ok are. To say chant and everything will be ok, is non-sense. Chanting is good but it does not help us solve our problems in life today. Arjuna was in a Chaotic condition, Lord Krishna didn't tell him to chant and everything will be ok. Lord Krishna gave him knowledge that helped him get through the difficult situation he was in (war). If Arjuna had just sat down and chanted, would he have solved anything? Absolutely not. The conclusion of the Bhagavad-gita is that learned devotees should explain the Bhagavad-gita to others, not to make them sit and chant. We are in so much ignorance, we first need knowledge. When Maharaj Pariksit was told he had 7 days left to live, he didn't sit down and chant for 7 days. He listened to the Srimad Bhagavatam, thus he wanted knowledge. Chanting is good, but first you have to understand who you are and who is God and why things are the way they are and so on. Once you have become self-realized with full knowledge then you can sit and down chant, not otherwise. 24. Hare Krishna. Addressing the truth and dispelling ignorance is the duty of a Vaisnava. We live in this material world in Kali Yuga, many souls are fallen due to ignorance. As stated in the Srimad Bhagavatam, people in Kali Yuga don't know what is religion and what is irreligion. It's very important for learned vaisnavas to disple the ignorance in the world. These questions asked by others are real and asked everyday. When I was a young teenager, these were asked and I had no answer, nor did anyone else I knew. As most Hindu adults have very limited knowledge. This is due to the learned keeping their knowledge to them selves only. Dispellimg ignorance in the world is the duty of every learned devotee. Srila Prabhupada didn't come to the west to chant and be happy, he could have done that very well in India. He came to dispel the ignorance.
