This great KC band needs some appreciation I think. I don't think Ray Cappo is making any records anymore, but still the Shelter back-catalog is inspiring young people. It was through the music of Shelter that I actually got interested in the Krishna Consciousness movement, and I just found three of their CDs today at a local independent music store. Ray's lyrics are so inspiring.

I'm not sure what you're asking exactly. Do you mean like the four armed form of Vishnu as the supersoul? or Krishna's form in Vrndavana?

We are all souls wrapped in these material bodies, and the soul doesn't have a color. So this debate isn't worth starting in the first place. Look at this verse from Bhagavad-Gita: A person is considered still further advanced when he regards honest well-wishers, affectionate benefactors, the neutral, mediators, the envious, friends and enemies, the pious and the sinners all with an equal mind. (BG 6.9)

Well someones tolerant of other devotees. I think you fail to realize that there are Vaishnava devotees who are gay/lesbian/bisexual and they serve Krishna with just as much devotion as anyone else. Also the Vedas say to abstain from sexual relations in general unless it's in married life to produce Krishna Conscious children. The only real grounds for argument here is possible the legalization of gay marriage, in that there is influence of the Kali Age.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't a Vaishnava(I can't remember if it was Srila Prabhupada or not) say that Lord Buddha taught impersonalism because it is all the people could understand at the time? or something to that effect.

I'm no authority on this at all, so I'll just tell you what Srila Prabhupada said in a recording I once heard. He said that Lord Buddha is indeed an avatara of Lord Krishna, but the main purpose that He came in the form of Lord Buddha was to stop people from sacrificing animals in Vedic rituals.

I had a strange dream, I was in a house and there were 3 guys there. I wanted them to leave but they kept throwing things at me. Then suddenly Srila Prabhupada appeared, and it looked like he was going to throw something at me too, so I ducked down on the floor and covered my head, and then what seemed like thousands of lotus pedals fell on me. It was either lotus pedals or tulsi(sp?) leaves, I can't remember. But anyway I started chanting something Sanskrit in my dream, and I remember it ended with "Sri Guru". The weird thing was when I woke up I was still chanting it. Can anyone shed any light on what this dream might mean? Hare Krishna

I ordered the Gita a while back from a Canadian bookstore. For some reason though I think I got an Australian printing of it, which I didn't mind but, it's missing Sanskrit parts of some verses. Like there is just a blank space where the actual Sanskrit would be for some verses. I don't know what's up with that, does anyone know where I might be able to see all the verses in Sanskrit online or anything? Hare Krishna

Prabhu I think you missed the point here. Why should be deny Lord Jesus when He is part of God? if you want to believe He is part of Krishna or He is just guru or what, either way don't deny Him and His influence on a specific spiritual path back to Godhead. I'd be the first person to admit I don't agree with a lot of things in the Christian/Catholic religion, but I still don't say that Christ has false, and you know what neither did Srila Prabhupada. I don't know what you might have thought but Srila Prabhupada only had good things to say about Jesus Christ, he said himself that Christianity is a path back to Godhead, so we call Him Krishna and they call Him Yehwah or whatever, we're all talking about the same God, the Absolute Truth. Well lately I've been visiting a Christian chatroom. Not to preach or anything but rather to hang out and talk to other (hopefully) God conscious people. I told them upfront I'm a Krishna, and a couple people were somewhat ok and supportive. I tried to explain to them about our faith and how we all believe in the one God. But tonight I was very harshly verbally attacked by them. They tried telling me things like Krishna is satan in disguise, and other horrible lies that I don't even want to repeat. Well needless to say I took the verbal abuse in stride and tried to defend my faith and devotion. I didn't get angry at all and just tried to explain my position to them, but sadly a lot of them had very hard hearts and wouldn't listen to a thing I said. Eventually after almost everyone in the room started throwing insults at me I left, emotionally beat but happy at the same time. Somehow I think experiences like this is a test of faith of sorts, they made me want to become closer to Krishna, and spread His sweet nectar and words. Hare Krishna!

I am eventually going to start writing devotional music. So I was wondering if anyone can offer me any advice on any special ways to go about it. I know that I need to approach it with an open heart and offer it to Krishna. But is there any other things I can do in that regard?
