  1. Pavan suta Hanuman ki jai! Pavandev is his father, but Hanuman is incarnation of Lord Siva, but you could say Hanuman is incarnation of Pavandev, don't have any sastric evidence, {hard to find heh}.
  2. It was in the time of Bhaktivinoda Thakura, I read it somewhere can't remember where, somebody was travelling etc, just thought I'd mention it. Tried to search for it, but could't locate it.

  4. about a story about a devotee being given permission to eat rice, while he was travelling on ekadasi by his Guru Maharaja. So I think you have to keep your energy levels up. Funny story though, when I used to fast on Ekadasi I had no idea your not supposed to eat certain foods, I was eating rice/chappatis, I must have done about 10 full Ekadasi fasts before realizing my mistake /images/graemlins/blush.gif

  6. <font color="brown"> The Appearance of Day of Sri Gadadhara Pandita Nineteenth of April 2004</font color> CC:Adi:10.15 bada sakha,--gadadhara pandita-gosani tenho laksmi-rupa, tanra sama keha nai SYNONYMS bada sakha-big branch; gadadhara pandita-gosani-the descendants or disciplic succession of Gadadhara Pandita; tenho-Gadadhara Pandita; laksmi-rupa-incarnation of the pleasure potency of Lord Krsna; tanra-his; sama-equal; keha-anyone; nai-there is none. TRANSLATION Gadadhara Pandita, the fourth branch, is described as an incarnation of the pleasure potency of Sri Krsna. No one, therefore, can equal him. PURPORT In the Gaura-ganoddesa-dipika (147-53) it is stated, "The pleasure potency of Sri Krsna formerly known as Vrndavanesvari is now personified in the form of Sri Gadadhara Pandita in the pastimes of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu." Sri Svarupa Damodara Gosvami has pointed out that in the shape of Laksmi, the pleasure potency of Krsna, she was formerly very dear to the Lord as syamasundara-vallabha. The same syamasundara-vallabha was present in Lord Caitanya's pastimes as Gadadhara Pandita. Formerly, as Lalita-sakhi, she was always devoted to Srimati Radharani. Thus Gadadhara Pandita is simultaneously an incarnation of Srimati Radharani and Lalita-sakhi. In the Twelfth Chapter of this part of the Caitanya-caritamrta there is a description of the descendants or disciplic succession of Gadadhara Pandita.
  7. Various Bhajans: http://www.iiramii.net/en/skmain.htm The Hanuman Chaliasa sung 11 times is esp nice.
  8. its your duty, how about that? I have found nothing can convince, except when you desire yourself, by use of Intelligence. We want to be animals, we even like it. Think one day I shall serve, but not right now, I am busy. If thats not Maya.. So how much do you desire, its down to You Only.
  9. Srila Prabhupada says in a lecture, you have gone on the battlefield, what is the question of you not fighting, when talking about Arjuna refucing to fight. -- You have come into this world, what is the question of you not practising Krsna Consiousness? Get up and fight!!
  10. 'Effectively we sit down inside and stopped fighting the urges.' Yes, we forget. or we want to. I think if we try hard enough its not that difficult to remember krsna all the time, some how, we just don't want to, thats my opinion.
  11. Thats very inspiring, I have doubts even though I read Prabhupada books, I believe of-cource, whats my position?
  12. www.asitis.com/2/3.html <font color="blue">O son of Prtha, do not yield to this degrading impotence. It does not become you. Give up such petty weakness of heart and arise, O chastiser of the enemy. </font color> -- I understand Sri Arjuna was put under temp illusion, by Lord Krsna. Can the above verse be used for devotees, who are under Maya, and are not practising Bhakti-Yoga like {before}, so they are weak in heart?
  13. <font color="purple"> Pure love for Krsna is eternally established in the hearts of living entities. It is not something to be gained from another source. When the heart is purified by hearing and chanting, the living entity naturally awakens.</font color> <font color="green"> (Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu instructs Sanatana Gosvami)</font color>
  14. I need to read Gita. - Thankyou for your truthfull post. Pamho
  15. Why should we abandon the association of non devotees? I hardly have any association with devotees. Everywhere I go, i.e either in office or at home. There are people who have no interset to know God. -- No interest in God, that should tell you something, I hate when that happens, its like 'don't talk about God' I am bored face. Stinks. Really Prabhuji destroys your enthusiam mixing with non-devotees they sap you like sponges, all your 'get up and go' gets gone. So like if you have a hobbie like urm playing football you mix with like minded ppls, so try to mix with devotees, whether personal/internet etc, to keep your Enthusiam up. Its makes perfect sense.
  16. he must have high regard for you, he put out his Vishnu wallpaper for pic of you then changed back again! does shakespeare ring a bell? I suspect he loves Bible other scriptures, so he quotes from them, which when you think about it, it very good. If I were you {and female} I would be offended, tell me make his own stuff up. Get married have kids, who can recite poetry then he and you can be satisfied lol/
  17. Unwanted Creeper. Just git on wiv Bhakti

  19. From SRI BHAVISHYA PURANA. Pratisarga parva, Chaturyuga Khanda Dvitiyadhyayah, 19th Chapter. (text 20 onwards). Ruling over the Aryans was a king called Salivahana, the grandson of Vikramaditya, who occupied the throne of his father. He defeated the Sakas who were very difficult to subdue, the Cinas, the people from Tittiri and Bahikaus who could assume any form at will. He also defeated the people from Rome and the descendants of Khuru, who were deceitful and wicked. He punished them severely and took their wealth. Salivahana thus established the boundaries dividing the separate countries of the Mlecchas and the Aryans. In this way Sindusthan came to to be known as the greatest country. That personality appointed the abode of the Mlecchas beyond the Sindhu river and to the west. ekadaa tu shakadhisho himatungari samaayayau hunadeshasya madhye vai giristhan purusam shubhano dadarsha balaram raajaa Once upon a time the subduer of the Sakas went towards Himatunga and in the middle of the Huna country (Hunadesh - the area near Manasa Sarovara or Kailash mountain in Western Tibet), the powerful king saw an auspicious man who was living on a mountain. The man's complexion was golden and his clothes were white. (Bhavishya Purana 19:22.) ko bharam iti tam praaha su hovacha mudanvitah iishaa purtagm maam viddhi kumaarigarbha sambhavam <font color="red"> "The king asked, 'Who are you sir?' 'You should know that I am Isha Putra, the Son of God'. he replied blissfully, and 'am born of a virgin.' "(Bhavishya Purana 19:23.) </font color> mleccha dharmasya vaktaram satyavata paraayanam iti srutva nrpa praaha dharmah ko bhavato matah " 'I am the expounder of the religion of the Mlecchas and I strictly adhere to the Absolute Truth.' Hearing this the king enquired, 'What are religious principles according to you opinion?' "(Bhavishya Purana 19:24.) shruto vaaca maharaja prapte satyasya amkshaye nirmaaryaade mlechadesh mahiso 'ham samaagatah "Hearing this questions of Salivahara, Isha putra said, 'O king, when the destruction of the truth occurred, I, Masiha the prophet, came to this country of degraded people where there are no rules and regulations. Finding that fearful irreligious condition of the barbarians spreading from Mleccha-Desha, I have taken to prophethood'." (Bhavishya Purana 19:25-26.) mlecchasa sthaapito dharmo mayaa tacchrnu bhuupate maanasam nirmalam krtva malam dehe subhaasbham naiganam apamasthaya japeta nirmalam param nyayena satyavacasaa manasyai kena manavah dhyayena pujayedisham suurya-mandala-samsthitam acaloyam prabhuh sakshat- athaa suuryacalah sada "Please hear Oh king which religious principles I have established among the mlecchas. The living entity is subject to good and bad contaminations. The mind should be purified by taking recourse of proper conduct and performance of japa. By chanting the holy names one attains the highest purity. Just as the immovable sun attracts, from all directions, the elements of all living beings, the Lord of the solar region, who is fixed and all-attractive, attracts the hearts of all living creatures. Thus by following rules, speaking truthful words, by mental harmony and by meditation, Oh descendant of Manu, one should worship that immovable Lord'." (Bhavishya Purana 19:27-30.) isha muurtirt-dradi praptaa nityashuddha sivamkari ishamasihah iti ca mama nama pratishthitam "Having placed the eternally pure and auspicious form of the Supreme Lord in my heart, O protector of the earth planet, I preached these principles through the Mlecchas' own faith and thus my name became 'isha-masiha' (Jesus the Messiah)." (Bhavishya Purana 19:31.) iti shrutra sa bhuupale natraa tam mlecchapujaam sthaapayaamaasa tam tutra mlecchasthaane hi daarune "After hearing these words and paying obeisances to that person who is worshipped by the wicked, the king humbly requested him to stay there in the dreadful land of Mlecchas." (Bhavishya Purana 19:32.) svaraajyam praaptavaan raajaa hayamedhan cikirat rajyam krtva sa sasthyabdam svarga lokamu paayayau "King Salivahara, after leaving his kingdom performed an asvamedha yajna and after ruling for sixty years, went to heaven. Now please hear what happened when the king went to svargaloka." (Bhavishya Purana 19:33.) Thus ends the second chapter entitled, "the age of Salivahara" of the story of Kali Yuga of the Caturyuga Khanda also called pratisarga-parva of the wonderful Bhavishya Maha Purana. http://www.hknet.org.nz/Jesus-Went-To-India.htm
  20. I accept Christianity so I am ok, Islam also, but if ppls want to come to Kc. Then thats great. Most ppls say they are Muslims/Hindus/Christians, but actually have no love, don't know what Bhakti is, I am wondering how I lived without it, its not sentimental I am talking its a fact. I want to look at bigger picture and your right we are not sectarian, but was looking for answers. Guest above says good things, makes me think after reading the post, preach and leave the rest to Krsna. We can only do so much...
  21. How can we preach when we meet somebody who believes in Jesus Christ but won't accept Krishna, what do you say, just tell them as long as you respect Krsna its ok? Also we are meant to be preaching KC not Christianity right? For an advanced devotee his attention/concentration is one-pointed he knows Krsna perfectly, but we on the other hand do not have this, I guess and its obvious what I am trying to say is, how we can expect ppls to take up Vaishnava Tradition, when we say its ok to be a Christian, knowing that they are Not even adhereing to simple doctrine namely 'thou shall not kill'. How shall we bring ppls to Krsna, perfect Science, more advanced than Christianity and Islam, when we say its ok? Hope devotee can answer these questions, I respect Jesus as a Guru, and Krsna as well as sweet Krsna lol.
  22. I know I should ideally start each posting w/ Please accept my humble obeiences. But internet is so diff, anyway, I read that verse and purport like 3-4 times, its great, haribol
