  1. Your post is interesting as the Dr appears to be speaking of part of an ancient pattern of enlightenment of which an early part of the journey is Profound Divine Mystical Experience (personal and undeniable encounter with God), followed by Insight leading to permanent genetic restructuring of the brain resulting in various states of mukti. Here is an excerpt from an interview with Acharya Sri Samadarshini, direct disciple of Sri Kalki Bhagavan, best know for his ability to give enlightenment to others, speaking of the brain and the mystical or God experience: "Now we know that there are 2 hemispheres in the brain, left & the right. Not all people are mystical. If some body has to be a mystic, then a different kind of electricity has to flow in his brain cells in a particular pattern. Only such of these people have mystical experiences and not others. Now Bhagavan says when he performs a psychic surgery to you and do some thing to you psychically, electrical impulses are sent into a certain small part in your left hemisphere of the brain and when these electric currents go to that part of the brain then naturally the way you experience reality would be different. That is how it has happened to all the previous sages and saints and mystics of the past, though some people were unaware of it. Now Bhagavan is making it happen to any body that is serious and seeking for it. And before this they are taken through a process and finally when their consciousness gets connected to Bhagavan’s consciousness then this is what happens to people. This is how all people land into this state. " She later goes on to say that this experience depends mainly on the left cerebral cortex. The rest of the interview is at www.skyboom.com/ddasa/index38.html
  2. Satyaraja Dasa, I do not know if the bones speak, but if they could they surely would have some stories to tell! You were speaking of genetic engineering. A Yoruba Priest (African Religion) told me that there is an oral tradition of a very evolved culture in the Sudan that used genetic engineering. The pig he said was the closest living relative of one of these engineeered animals. It was a hybrid of the dog, the rat, and the human being and was made for garbage control. I do not know if it is true or not, yet don't pigs and humans have similar DNA? Suppose anything is possible. Is interesting that in most cultures that evolved in that area to eat pig is taboo and karmically is said to be much like killing a human being. Good links, Guaracanda. The bird cage is not as large as you might think. Upon entering is an almost lifesize portrait of the famous dancer, "Little Egypt" (as the song goes: "Little Egypt came a strutting wearing nothing but a button and a bow.") Guess the sea man was an added attraction in the Wild Wild West. They call it Tombstone because the founder was told he would see his tombstone before he found a silver mine. So he named it Tombstone. The sea man is pretty strange to see in that unlikely desert location. Once I saw something called a devil fish in an aquarium store. It is some type of sea manta ray but when dried looks a small Judeo Christian variety of demon with wings and a pointed tail. Perhaps it is the drying that gives the Bird Cage's sea man its other-worldly appearance. It looks alot like you would imagine a merman to look. It may be a hoax of some sort for if nothing else, Tombstone has a sense of humor. [This message has been edited by Dharma (edited 11-15-2001).]
  3. There is a body and some postcards with pictures of some sort of sea man in a place (now a museum) called The Bird Cage, in Tombstone, Arizona. The legend is that a Chinese fellow brought the body. Do not know if it is a hoax or not but it is very odd.
  4. Following is an excerpt from a new age newsletter with Acharya Samadarshini of Satyaloka Monastery. The rest of her interview is posted at http://www.skyboom.com/ddasa/index38.html I thought is was appropriate to post during these turbulent times for the USA as it tells of the impact mukti would have on the world. Basically that an enlightened being cannot create war. "For a person who is Enlightened he has no suffering in his life, therefore he also does not create suffering for the rest of the world. In his life the psychological & spiritual suffering ceases forever. And also such those physical problems that are arising in our day-to-day life, which are basically arising because of our wrong thinking patterns, the way our mind is structured, and the negative merits that we are acquiring through our thought, word and deed, all these would come to an end in the life of a person who is enlightened. If you look at the world you find that happy person gives happiness to others and such of those people who are constantly mad at others, hurt others, curse others are the ones who are themselves suffering within. No happy person can give unhappiness to another and No unhappy person can give happiness to another and Love is not something that can take side in an unhappy person. By your Enlightenment you are saving society from there. A human being who is suffering is a danger to the world he is living in. So when you are Enlightened not only have you acquired a state of bliss & joy but you are also helping the rest of the mankind live in peace. That is the first thing you’ll have to do. A person who is enlightened would naturally know how to develop his child, would naturally know how to help his friend who is in crises, how to share his life with his spouse. These are things that would naturally come to him. An Enlightened person in a house, his consciousness would be affecting his family, office colleagues, work place, town, city, and it is the greatest bliss that can happen to any body, to have an enlightened being in ones place and that the Foundation is giving to mankind. I think any body should run for it now. [This message has been edited by Dharma (edited 10-01-2001).]

  10. How long Kaliyuga will last and when the Golden Age begins is determined by the movement of Earth and other planets. It is an astrological occurence as well as a shift in consciousness. When the star, Mulam, radiates its complete energy and the earth is at that point where it completely access this cosmic energy then it can be called Satya Yuga. The question is not one of speculation as to when Satya Yuga is going to come, whether it is going to be 1000 of years later, millions of years later. It is much like this: the doctor tells you that your disease is going to be cured within 3 years time. You are very disappointed and sad because you are not sure if you are going to survive and tolerate the pain and live for 3 years. So go to another doctor for another opinion and he says- Look it is not going to be 3 years, I am going to cure it within 3 months. Would you be unhappy about it and tell may be I will rather wait for 3 years? If the doctor were to show it to you that it is indeed possible to cure it in 3 months, then you would say I feel it now. I guess I am saying that you can wait another few milleniums if you must as like any dawn, there is a broad window of oppertunity. Many masters would say when asked how long before aman could become enlightened would say "miileniums." Such a being upon being told this will take an oh what the hell attitude and degenerate further-thinking it impossible. On the other hand, it ALREADY HAS BEEN MILLENIUMS. The very first step is knowing that it is now possible for each and every person that seeks-not just a one in a million. Molam is very close. The energies offer tremendous oppertunity for growth, mokska and mukti for some very average everyday type people. Perhaps many here have noticed mystical experiences much like were given to saints of olden times. Or perhaps there is an Awakening in the heart. I am sure everyone is noticing an increased capacity for love- a communion with divine, a progression rather than a degeneration in your relationship with the divine. If we were sinking deeper into furthur degeneration of Kalkiyuga and not so close to Satyayuga, how is this type of experience possible? So many are having such experience. Perhaps at this point in time speculation is a waste of energy especiall if we observe and see what is happening right now. Mankind definitely cannot last for the next 300,000 or 400,000 years with the kinds of minds we have, with the kinds of thoughts we entertain, and the kind of suffering that is apparent. Do you know that we are suffering? The consciousness and degenaration of man is reaching and all time low. Do you think that he can go on like this and degenerate even further without going totally mad? How much more insecurity can he handle? How much of his inability to determine what is necessary for survival and what is irrelevant-that is so very characteristic of Kaliyuga (the gross exploitation of resources due to excessive materialism-ie sorrow management)can the planet bear? Mulam is very close now to the proximately of earth. Many of the sages and mystics are saying there were errors in calculations of the yugas. A division that is said to be more accurate is the following ancient calculation: 10,000 years of Satyuga, 7200 years Treta Yuga,4400 Dwapar Yuga, 2400 years Kaliyuga. The concepts of yugas hat mark the spiritual progression (gradual & phased deterioration) in the spiritual state of man, divided into a 24,000 year time frame called a Kalpa Chakra. Molam it is my understanding comes near the earth every 24,000 years aproximately.

  12. I would venture to say that He is time. From this perspective: In the Bhagavad Gita when Krishna appears to Arjuna as the destructive aspect of God. Arjuna sees all the warriors of the battlefield being sucked into Krishna's mouth during a profound divine mystical experience. Krishna speaks that He is time itself engaged for infinity in the process of destroying the world. He tells Arjuna that even without Arjuna's action all persons meet ultimately with death, that all the warriors in the opposing armies shall not survive. "They have already been slain by me." I do not know due to the dependently arising nature of this creation and the gift of free will if he would know the future. I do not know if the future is a reality at all rather than an illusion or a perception. Again going back to the Bhagavad Gita where Krishna indicates that the warriors are already dead.
  13. Lol. Do you think however that he would have spoken of karma?
  14. Then if Buddha and Krishna as well as Kalki are considered to be avatars or incarnations of Vishnu then would Buddhists fall into this category as well? I do not know. What do you think?
  15. It seems to me that the message of Christ was moksha-liberation from the cycle of births and deaths. Perhaps because the framework of the religion of that region did not allow for mukti.
  16. The caste of Buddha permitted eating of meat. A translation I read not so long ago about the death of Buddha said that he had rested in the mango groves of Chunda. And Chunda was so overjoyed to hear him speak of high things that he begged Buddha to have a meal the next day with the monks at his home. Buddha silently consented. Much fine food was prepared icluding sweet rice and cakes and truffles, a food loved by pigs. Chundra was a smith. I am not sure what caste that would be, but whether or not meat was prepared could possibly be determined if Chundra's caste could be determined. There was no mention of meat except that boars liked truffles. After Buddha ate he was in tremendous pain and he told Ananada that they would go to Kusinara. Later near Kusinara where he was to die he meditated laying on his right side-as the pain was too much in other positions. He spoke to Ananada and said that there would be those who would judge Chundra and call him evil because he had fallen ill and died after eating there. He told Ananada to check this by saying that Buddha said from his own mouth that good karma of a long life, good fortune, and fame has been accumulated for Chundra, as well as the inheritance of heaven and sovereign power.
  17. Some of it is a benediction and some is the way the left cerebral cortex of the brain is "wired". Those who have such experience generally take very well to the Bhakti Marga. If not "hardwired" in such a way that the doors of mysticism open there is always the empiracle path or non God centered path if seeking mukti. 19. Speaking of beauty and impermanence attended training for moksha yajnas in India which is perhaps the most beautiful yajna ever imaginable. It is primarily for those 55 or older or those who are terminally ill. It is a road map for death and beyond death and goes into why some become spirits, why some enter different lokas such as a heaven or a hell, while some take new brith and others attain moksha. It was interesting how many of the seniors were able to experience their death and see what has kept them caught up in the cycle of births and deaths. Much of the yajna went into growng old gracefully. The dasa conducting said that it is the natural rose that is respected and treasured, rather than the artificial one. I thought that is was very profound. I also thought the last line of Matreiya's post about Krishna granting eternal youth to the soul very beautiful as well. The 4 purusharthas of man according to tradition are Artha (taking care of survival or seeking wealth), Kama (the realm of desire be it material, psychological or spiritual), Dharma what we are choosen to do by Him, & Moksha, liberation from repetitive cycle of births and death. In Kalkiyuga, few grow beyond kama. The natural progression is lost or perhaps sleeping. The need for plastic surgery often indicates a psychological desire-a craving to be loved. Unfortunately we often learn at an early age to accept conditional love as the norm, thus the non-stop quest of becoming. The conflict between what one is and what one wants to be is perhaps the oldest and fiercest battle in the history of man. It is responsible for much of the gulit, self hatred and inner as well as outer battles of the world. In the realm of the persuit of beauty the poor female suffers the most. 21. Once at the Palace of Gold in Moundsville, WV., I remember one of the devotees who was in charge of leading tours told me that the Krishna religion was founded in 1492. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I remember being surprised at how recent a practice it was and remembered the date because of Columbus's landing in the Americas. Guess I have climbed up the ladder to confusion here.
  22. Love, It is from the World Island review. But do not tell the copyright police, OK? I do not know if it is true or not, but am planning to go there one day and see. It is very interesting to me. Others. I do not think it is unusual for archeological findings that conflict with stories of creation and give acurate evidence as to the true age of mankind to be covered up. Belief and ignorance will always battle to perpetuate itself. Mankind is much more ancient than what science currently says. More and more evidence is surfacing reguarding the age of man. Recently near Okinawa and Yonaguri divers located a gigantic pyramid like stucture. Its about 240 ft in length. It is surprising that it was not front page news and little is known or publicised about this and other such discoveries. I am wondering why. I am wondering if it is much like the mindset during the days of Columbus when he had the audacity to say that the world was round. Or perhaps Copernicus who debunked the scriptures and suffered greatly as a result. Is it connected to the oldest ego game in the history of mind- "I am right-you are wrong" meaning "experts" will be embarassed? Would we on the whole rather pepetuate ignorance than appear to be mistaken? In Kaliyuga that is a good possibility. Or maybe such discovery will not jive with the story (estimated arrival time)of creation of man according to religion of the day. In some instances-amazingly such phenomena is credited ato aliens rather than admit the true age of mankind! Thus is the condition of man. Or perhaps it is just the astronomical cost of rewriting history. Here are some underwater city links that I would have thought would be front page news. www.eagle-net.org/phikent/japan/japan.html www.eagle-net.org/phikent/japan/japan2.html www.lauralee.com/japan/japan1.htm www.lauralee.com/japan/japan2.htm www.forteantimes.com/artic/114/japan.html www.mozingodesigns.com/brainrape/html/japans_pyramid_pictures.html Another interesting phenome is a miracle in a Buddhist monastery. Many Buddhists were enraged by it and claimed it was impossible. Here is the article: "Flowers that bloom only once every 3,000 years are budding on the head of a sacred Buddhist statue." "Buddhist priests in South Korea say the legendary flowers blossoming on the forehead of Kian Yin the Compassionate only appear when the 'Sage King of the Future' comes into the world, which one Buddhist leader called, a delight that gives joy beyond description." "The Miracle of the Flowers, as it's now being called, happened in the Chonggyesa Temple in a suburb of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Tens of thousands of pilgrims are flocking to see the white blossoms on the tip of the eyebrow of the shining, gilded statue of Kuan Yin." "'Kuan Yin is a gentle Buddhist deity who refused to enter paradise (Nirvana--J.T.) because she heard the cries of suffering humanity,' says religious expert Dr. Kenneth Ireland 'She is acknowledged to save the soul of everyone on Earth, turning her back on none. Many are now saying that the monastery of Chonggye-sa could become the Buddhist Lourdes because many cures are being performed there.'" "According to the monks, 21 threadlike stems are growing from the statue of Kuan Yin, each with a tiny white flower 'no bigger than the tip of a ballpoint pen.' This is the first time in the 1,000-year history of the monastery that the flowers have blossomed. 'Buddhists say sighting the flowers is like witnessing the birth of Buddha,' he added." "Experts say it's unthinkable that the 500-year-old statue of Kuan Yin, gilded every three years over the (original) woodwork, could produce growing flowers without divine intervention. 'Botanically, the flower is related to the ficus,' says botanist William Grant. 'There is just no way it could take root in the statue.'" "Dr. Ireland says the flowers are regarded as divine in India, Japan and China and are believed to bloom only when a momentous event is about to happen. Buddhist monks are currently keeping a prayer vigil at the statue, waiting for the event that will change mankind's future forever." Anyone ever directly witness such a miracle? 24. You can build on the lot with the Pacific to the East. East is ruled by knowledge and should be low and open as should the North. An east facing house is very good. Keep your entrance to the NE of East rather than SE of E if you can. When you get ready to build you can contact me if you want. Would be glad to share what I know.
