I agree but first the husband has to become qualified to be a guru. Just because he is the husband doesnt make him the guru. Also the wife is a devi(goddess) We should both use our marriage in krsna's service. The reason i mentioned about the guru thing is because I met someone who used to abuse his wife, call her names, etc, etc, etc and told me that he did it because he was the guru adn the wife was his slave. So thats why the husband must know what the proper duty of a husband is. LIke in the bhagavatam it says one cannot become a husband, father, mother, wife, guru, or worshipable demigod unless he can liberate his dependents. Hare Krsna

I have heard this beautiful song of Namaste Narshimhaya done by a devotee without any instruments. It is quite powerful and beautiful. Does anyone know who sings it or does anyone know where I can get it. I had the tape once but lost it. If anyone has heard it you will know what I am talking about.

Hare Krsna everyone. I hope everyone is well. I felt like writing something but i didnt know what, so i figured i would write a story of an experiance of mine during books. As last year was probably the last year i would do full time books, this story is one of my favorites as it brings a tear to my eye when realising i have other duties. There is nothing like book distribution. It was cold in December(like usual if you are in canada) and the books were going out good. After a solid three or four hours of being yelled at, cursed at and ignored this following story made the whole day worthwhile. I saw this lady walk by, I said "excuse me miss" She said "no thanks" I said "I have something valueable for you" She didnt respond. I forgot about her and thought lets move on. After ten minutes I see her again "excuse me miss your back" She was like "sorry, gotta run" I saw her for the third time, I was like "did you change your mind" She just chuckled a bit. After a few of these she came once more and I said "hey you, this book is for you, thats why you keep coming back. You are meant to have this book, it will change your life" To my surprise she stopped, we had a small discussion but she took the book. She gave me ten dollars for a "Higher Taste" I didnt think much of that and the day ended. The next day I continued again doing books. I met a goup of young kids after an hour or two who stopped for me. As I was talking to them, someone tapped me from behind and it was that lady. SHe was like "you remember me?" I was like "kind of" She said she was that lady that stoped for you after not stoping for so many times. I rememberd now. She said the book I gave her was a great book. She said that she came from a town that was a little bit far only for christmas shopping but she glad she took the book. She said she wasnt planning to come back but after reading the book she came back in hopes to see me again and get more books. Then she addressed the group of young kids that were with me. She said you must get one of these books, they are great. She even said I will buy you guys any of these books. I am standing there thinking "only krsna could do this" The lady said these books could change peoples lives. She took four more books for me and bought a book for one of the young kids. She gave me 30 dollars for the books she got and said that keep doing Krsna's work. We had a nice lenghty converstation and the smile on her face was all i needed to go on that day. We have to keep endevouring for krsna. Krsna will bring those who need his books the most. That was two years ago, I have never seen her since then but I hope the books she took from me will last her more then this lifetime. Only krsna knows. I dont think i will ever forget my stories from book distribution. Thats the nector of book distribution. Nothing in the world like it. Hare Krsna everyone Before anything else I wish to say that today was an interesting day. I was using a concession bus pass this month(40dollars) instead of the adult one(60dollars)on something called a skytrain here because I dont have a job and such. I was stopped by a sky train police officer and he confiscated my bus pass and as well gave me a 56 dollar fine. sigh....if things could get any worse. When it rains it pours. Krsna is definatly testing me or I have horrible karma. Anyways the author of Forbidden Archeology and The Hidden History of the Human Race is coming to vancouver. Micheal Cremo or Dhrutakarma prabhu is coming on the 19th and is espected to give class at our temple. We expect a big crowd and I hope to keep you guys informed on what kind of class he gives. Hare Krsna everyone. Hope all is well. I thought i would write something about this long weekend in Canada. First off Hockey season is upon us and the Canucks are 2-0 whoo hooo, 82 and 0 baby lol. Anyways, its thanksgiving here. Everyone will pray and say something that they are thankful for. Ofcourse while eating turkeys. Wonder what the Turkeys are thankful for. How can our vedic culture influence people to stop these things, I hate it when holidays like these come. I am thankful I wont become a turkey in my next life and get eaten. Yeah When I went to see Sai baba, he had like 50 body guards. WHy does God need body guards. Oh yes I would like to see him lift goverdhan hill. How about showing the universal form? I mean I see the universal ugly afro form but not the original universal form. How can you even think Sai afro child molester baba is god. He sleeps with men, women and children. I know many Sai Baba worshipers who after reading from Prabhupads Gita and bagavatam left his association. How can you say Krsna is not in the scriptures, why do you limit god to your own imperfect senses. I mean you are being cheated but krsna has shown you mercy by coming on this form and hearing about Prabhupad and krsna. YOu should accept that. Remember the story of Narad Muni and the snake? I am sure someone out there knows this story which I think is from the Bhagavatam. Just show your hood They will back off. I know how you feel, because of being pushed around I am in the situation I am in now. Its detrimental to your spiritual life if someone is abusing you and the chanting stops, reading stops and all you think about is how you are being abused or taken advantage of. Enough is enough.Its time for a change. Stand up now or it will be to late, like my situation. If only I stood up sooner. Now I am showing my hood, its always raised and I might even strike. Well I am glad i serverd a devotee, I have to look at myself and see what truly satisfies me and that is usually serving someone other then my own false ego. They arent gods. They are demigods. The hindus worship them wihtout proper knowledge. "Hindu"'s(i put quotations because the word "hindu" doesnt exist in any scripture) havent read the scripture so they dont understand. They just follow what their parents have taught and such. THere is one Supreme God for the "hindu's" He is called Krsna. He comes in many forms but the other gods are are merely servernts of him

well i am not trying to argue with you but...well actually in a sense i am. However, you say that they are practising for thousands of years which i have been for only 30 years. Well I dont know know about that. Most of the people that I know who happen to be indian dont practice much. They just claim to be brahman and eat meat or say that they are hindu and hate the vaisnavas because they think they(hindus) are right and dont like it when we do HariNam Sankirtan. There are many instances. I do agree that I need to be more humble. Plus the average indian doesnt live to be a thousand years old, atleast not in kali yuga so they have been practising for only a few years. By the way I am from an eastindian background and the last thing i want to do is associate with them. They drag me down because after years of trying to be white they are trying to be black now. There is this Murari bapu or Ramesh bhai oza who teach ram katha or sapta but their followers are just the same as they were before the seven day katha. One guy i Know says he loves MurariBapu, dresses like him, has a beard like him, has a shawal or chadar like him has a picture of him at his store.....which happens to be a liquire store and says he is a true follower of his. The reason I asked was because I always get indian people complaining that we only emphasis on Lord Krsna and not Lord Ram. For them the argument seems justifiable because they say Lord Ram came before Lord krsna Not know that krsna is the supreme. I am annoyed by them now so I just say read the sastras first and then we can talk. Ofcourse they claim to be a lot of things but as soon as they leave the temple they act very un vaisnava like or un Ram bhakta like. I hope for more replies, Than you Yasodananda. Hare Krsna everyone I have to tell you that I love coming here on this site. I realised I am amongst such great high and knowledgable souls. I know personally that I dont know anything. I know bits and pieces here and there and love Lord Sri Krsna and Prabhupad but I dont know the vedas like you guys do. Sometimes though I feel overwhelmed and I feel I should leave. I sometimes dont seem like I am contributing to this site or krsna consciousness. I wish I could learn more, I hope someone can teach me. I will soon post some of my book distribution stories and other stories that I have had experianced in KRsna Consciousness. If you all have good stories lets post them up as well.
