"Yes, this places us outside both "camps" - but it does not place us outside the Hare Krishna community, as Srila Prabhupada's disciples."
As you say I should be truthfull, and why is it, that you are in an outside camp again, If I choose to disgree then you cannot blame me, there are so many devotees at present 'claiming' to be prabhupada diciples initiated or Not, who in his sweet name, do all kinds of noncence, I do not know who you are, I've had contact with you for maybe not even 2 weeks, I do not care what you have said about me, in a childesh manner you do it on an open forum, I am not a sannyasi, I am go out of my way to be 'nice', and I get this from you, I have better things to do than associate with somebody who preaches in this way. Goodday.

Hare Krishna
I came upon this paper which seems to be being circulated around the devotee community, I am not sure about it myself, I am wondering what senior devotees/experienced devotees/advanced devotees (love you all), think about this.
Oh unto the feet of all peoples who sing the names of Krishna with love! all glories unto you! ahem..

TRANSLATION
May there be good fortune throughout the universe, and may all envious persons be pacified. May all living entities become calm by practicing bhakti-yoga, for by accepting devotional service they will think of each other's welfare. Therefore let us all engage in the service of the supreme transcendence, Lord Sri Krsna, and always remain absorbed in thought of Him.

Thankyou, we are at different levels, but the regulated proccess should not be given up at ANY stage of Life.
It makes perfect sence, I needed convincing Prabhus, I MUST read more. Hare Krsna.

You body does not belong to you that you may end your life, and for what?
You seem very sentimental, a trait of somebody who is mildy depressed, mode of ignorance is prominant, just a mode right? Elevate yourself!
-
Also somewhere else, Srila Prabhupada says if we chant the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra we are formally Initiated, does this mean if we are following basic rules of His Divine Grace, then we are formally initiated by srila prabhupada? ..and its a matter of time before we meet somebody who is devoted to Prabhupada & Krsna.

Welcome to Interactive assocociation.
I am still in the process of reading the Verce/Purport again and again, the one thing that I do get from it all, is that the Holy Name is not dependent on anything, so that could be the reason why certain things in the Purport 'may' seem contradictory, i.e should we do diety worship or not?
and how can we do diety worship without initiation?
In the Purport it says Prabhuji, that our minds are impure (whos isn't) therefore diety worship is reccommended, but then it says simply by chanting the Holy name you can attain all perfection, but the 'big' message in the Purport from what I can see is that you MUST approach a Bona-fide Spiritual Master for Initiation, otherwise if he is not, then it is a waste of time.
I am also thinking if you were to in your life, take shelter of a Spiritual Master, and he may fall-down from the path temporarily, then all the work you have done is a waste of time?...

"One does not have to undergo initiation or execute the activities required before initiation. One simply has to vibrate the holy name with his lips. Thus even a man in the lowest class [candala] can be delivered.

Please read the FULL Purport as well, I came upon this verse, I think it has different meanings for different individuals, I would like to hear views of all devotees, if you have any at all, Please NO GUESTS!

Purport (excerpt)
Krsna is providing for us here, and He will also provide for us there. So we should know that our happiness is in returning home, back to Godhead, where we can eat, drink and be merry in Krsna's company.

I would like to add,
do not also blaspheme devotees while calling yourself a prabhupadanuga or any other GURU, doing aparadha in the name of Prabhupada is the greatest offence.

Srimad Bhagavatam: 5.14.20
TRANSLATION
Sukadeva Gosvami continued speaking to Maharaja Pariksit: My dear King, sleep is exactly like a python. Those who wander in the forest of material life are always devoured by the python of sleep. Being bitten by this python, they always remain in the darkness of ignorance. They are like dead bodies thrown in a distant forest. Thus the conditioned souls cannot understand what is going on in life.
PURPORT
Material life means being fully absorbed in eating, sleeping. mating and defending. Out of these, sleep is taken very seriously. While asleep, one completely forgets the object of life and what to do. For spiritual realization, one should try to avoid sleep as much as possible. The Gosvamis of Vrindavana practically did not sleep at all. Of course, they slept some, for the body requires sleep, but they slept only about two hours, and sometimes not even that. They always engaged in spiritual cultivation. Nidrahara-viharakadi-vijitau. Following in the footsteps of the Gosvamis, we should try to reduce sleeping, eating, mating and defending.

Room Conversation
Vrindavana, February 13, 1974,
---
Syamasundara: Then what is that purpose? What is Krsna's purpose?
Prabhupada: Krsna, Krsna is living force. He has got different purpose.
Syamasundara: Oh.
Prabhupada: Don't say that Krsna has only one purpose, that only purpose is that you surrender. Now, when you surrender, whatever Krsna says you do it.
Syamasundara: Oh. So His purpose is individual for everyone.
Prabhupada: Yes. Varieties of purposes. Krsna is asking Arjuna to fight with the Kurus, or He's asking me to preach. I am not fighting. So Krsna, (indistinct), He has got varieties of order, and your duty is to carry out the order of Krsna, that's all. What kind of order He'll give, you accept, just like you are doing, all my disciples. It is not that you are all doing the same thing. Somebody is pujari, somebody is preaching, somebody is collector, somebody is (indistinct), somebody is this, somebody is that. So there are different varieties, but your duty is to carry out my order.

Hare Krishna,
I came upon this verse, I don't know anything about the pastime, but I was happy to come across it:
=====
TRANSLATION
The holy Lake Bindu-sarovara, flooded by the waters of the River Sarasvati, was resorted to by hosts of eminent sages. Its holy water was not only auspicious but as sweet as nectar. It was called Bindu-sarovara because drops of tears had fallen there from the eyes of the Lord, who was overwhelmed by extreme compassion for the sage who had sought His protection.
PURPORT
Kardama underwent austerities to gain the causeless mercy of the Lord, and when the Lord arrived there He was so compassionate that in pleasure He shed tears, which became Bindu-sarovara. Bindu-sarovara, therefore, is worshiped by great sages and learned scholars because, according to the philosophy of the Absolute Truth, the Lord and the tears from His eyes are not different. Just as drops of perspiration which fell from the toe of the Lord became the sacred Ganges, so teardrops from the transcendental eyes of the Lord became Bindu-sarovara. Both are transcendental entities and are worshiped by great sages and scholars. The water of Bindu-sarovara is described here as sivamrta jala. Siva means "curing." Anyone who drinks the water of Bindu-sarovara is cured of all material diseases; similarly, anyone who takes his bath in the Ganges also is relieved of all material diseases. These claims are accepted by great scholars and authorities and are still being acted upon even in this fallen age of Kali.

Letter to: Rudra

Toronto
My Dear Rudra das,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 27 February, 1970, and have noted the contents carefully. I am very glad to learn that you are finding the atmosphere congenial in the new Toronto center. I think your valuable services will be put to good account there in the matter of pushing our Sankirtana movement. I have heard that there is very good potential for spreading Krishna Consciousness movement in Toronto especially among the large younger population. So I think this will be a good field for you to work enthusiastically in cooperation with other good devotees like Jayapataka, Raktaka, and Jagadisa.
When I learn that you are selling many BTGs and are receiving nice support from the community, I am very much encouraged. Now we have published our Isopanisad and you must try to sell it as far as possible. I have tried to explain in this book the preliminary knowledge of God-consciousness so any layman who reads it will be able to understand our Krsna Consciousness movement to their great benefit. If you simply present our program before them with great sincerity of purpose, they will be influenced by the seriousness of our Krishna Consciousness movement, and you can further impress them to join with us.
I am also glad to note that you are making practice of keeping in mind various important verses from our scriptures. This is the approved process mahajano yena gatah sa panthah to ``follow in the footsteps of the great authorities in Krishna Consciousness like Narada Muni and our other Acaryas.'' Now we are requiring our students to be very well familiar with all our literatures so that we may present our philosophy before even the most educated persons. This is very important as our movement is now growing and attracting greater notice.
Regarding sleeping, there is no need of confusion on this subject. At this stage, if we do not take sufficient rest, we shall fall ill. There is no need of forcing the matter. So one should take rest enough to keep in good health. Sleeping two hours out of 24 is a later natural development. For the present, take six hours sleep at night, that is enough; and if necessary, take another hour during the day. If chanting rounds at night is not a disturbance of your daily schedule, then it is alright. But by perseverance at rigid following of devotional service your demands for extra hours sleeping will automatically diminish.
<font color="red"> Lord Nityananda is Guru. He can instruct us, but ultimately it depends on the disciple.</font color> A doctor may say ``Do this, Do not do this,'' but if the patient does not follow the prescription, what is the result? Similarly, Nityananda Prabhu will hear the prayer of an insincere rascal, if that rascal actually wants to change his condition. One must agree not to be a rascal any more, then his rascaldom can be reformed. Jagai and Madhai begged the Lord for His mercy and they were prototype rascals, drunkards and debauchees. Lord Caitanya told them first you stop your nonsense activities, then I will accept you. So a rascal may be accepted provided he agrees to stop his nonsenses. Otherwise, how can one expect to be reformed if he does not agree or like to be reformed. To be reformed, he must agree to the reforming process.
In this connection, in order to remain fixed in spiritual strength, always be sure to chant the prescribed sixteen rounds of beads daily without fail. This is essential for insuring your spiritual progress.
I hope this will meet you in good health.
Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

Sri Sri Siksastaka
Eight Instructions
Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu
Verse 3
One should chant the holy name of the Lord in a humble state of mind, thinking oneself lower than the straw in the street; one should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige, and should be ready to offer all respect to others. In such a state of mind one can chant the holy name of the Lord constantly.
==========
If you are Humble and Tolerant does that mean you are able to offer respects to others?
I cannot understand this verce at all, it baffles me the more times I read it.
Any devotees have a purport by His Divine Grace explaining specifically this verse?

Srila Prabhupada:
In the neophyte stage the position is that the neophyte devotee worships the Deity in the temple with great awe and reverence, but he cannot discriminate who is devotee, who is non-devotee and who is neophyte.
=====
HarI says it all really doesn't it, I keep thinking of Krishna as my Friend, when I should be in awe and reverence 'stage'.

I have heard or read somewhere, the Uttama-adhikari devoteee comes down to the 2nd platform to preach, so how are we exactly to know who is a Uttama-adhikari devotee?

Envy develops because of sense gratification, but in Vrndavana there is no sense gratification, for the only aim is Krsna's satisfaction.
