  1. Hinduism is a ocean... no one can practice entire hinduism... but anyone practising any aspect of hinduism is a hindu

A Aghori tantrik eating human flesh is a hindu

A naked naga sadhu is a hindu

mirabai and all krishna bhakts are hindus

the shivabhakt who sits on the bank of the ganges drinking bhang is a hindu...

the kalibhakt who sacrifices animals is a hindu

and a brahmabhakt who worships brahma at pushkar is a hindu

so read understand and decide which aspect of hinduism you seek to follow and then find a guru and seek diksha... and much after that will come the legal formalities...

The meaning of sambhuti in verse 9 and 11 are different, if you ead honestly the verse 9, it says that to whome the sambhuti is intent (means they worship sambhuti) they are in deeper darkness.

If you say that sambhuti in both the verses is same then tell me the meanings of sambhuti.

I have read the verse 5 and i think it is not related to verse 9, it generally says that God is everywhere. Further in 9th verse, it prohibits you to worship asambhuti and sambhuti.

This forums main agenda is to popularise Hinduism. There are forums existing to popularise Islam. I think Mazhar would be more comfortable and popular in those forums. Unnecessarily let us not get into a Hindu-Muslim debate out here.

Brother sunds i fel brother mazar seems to have read more about the vedas then i have ... so he seems to be a better hindu than many of us and this is happening all thanks to this discussion so i would say let the discussion go on if it is going to mean that brother mazar is going to read more about hinduism... if this isnt popularising hinduism ...what is....

remember the story of kansa and krishna... kansa went to heaven after his death... cause he had been thinking and focussing on lord krishna ... out of fear... the reason wasnt relevent... the actions were... and the actions meant kansa's ticket to krishna's heaven :)

First of all Islam is not a younger religion. It is old than hinduism and any othe religion. It is there since the man came on earth.

What history tells us is that islam is a young religion. Prophet Mohammed was born sometime between 570-571 A.D.

so unless u are talking of "some other islam" it is a young religion in comparison to hinduism... which has existed forever...

When you become a muslim with Allah's grace, you will know that the direction is for the unity.

I feel no reason for becoming a member of a religion which has just one stone and one direction to pray to...

imagine if ever "satan" wishes to destroy islam all he will have to do is use a single nuclear device on the stone "KAABA" and the religion will have nothing to back up the faith...

Whereas anyone wishing to destroy hinduism could destroy the world "and believe me many invaders have tried and not succeded" and still hinduism will prevail.

  4.

Brother, if everyone will choose his own direction then where is the unity? Islam is the religion of peace. When we offer salaah, we stand shoulder to shoulder so that we love each other, and we can stand like that when we have same direction.

Other thing is that we only face towards kaaba for salaah i.e. namaaz and if you want to ask something from Allah or pray to him, here pray means to ask for something, then you can do it in any direction.

when speaking to ones father do brothers need to stand united in one direction and call him in one single format...

unity is not for humans humanity is a creative approach to understanding god. what the prophet saw none have seen... some see more and some see less... some are blind and some have senses better than others...

unity is not a approach for peace but is a militiristic apprach and is always warlike...

Hitler united germany against the world...

"but one thing i like about this discussion is" that mazhar is begining to read the vedas and quote from them... hopefully our brother mazhar will realise the wisdom of hinduism which has been acquired over tens of thousands of years... and god willing he will realise the fickleness of all the younger religions which have existed for a mere thousand years...

the younger religions have come and vanished without leaving a trace and let us see 500 years from now...

  5.

I don't think Mahesh and Shivaduta are telling Sanskruti to become Jain, rather they are telling him he can still worship Hindu deities, and call himself a Hindu without a formal conversion ceremony.

Absolutely true... The heart is where hinduism lies... and papers dont make or unmake a hindu ...except for legalities... and legalities can always be done at leisure :)

  6. Krishna is the leela purushottam - with his maya he creates and yet remains out of maya... he inspires love and yet he loves not for he is also the "nirmohiya" he is everything and yet he is nothing... he is zero and he is infinity... whenever u search for truth u will always find him there smiling and hidden in a veil behind the ultimate truth... his actions his thoughts and his very calm persona all attract people to him...

if u are a fickle lover you will be attrcted to his physical form

if you are a poet or musician you will fall in love with his flute

if you are a mischivious soul you can not help falling in love with the mischivious maakhanchot...

and if you are a wise seeker of truth you shall fall in love with the sublimity of his thoughts...

    to each his own...

  7. He who goes returns...

He who has never left never needs to return...

he is present everywhere and like the maakhanchor that he is he looks at us and hides before we get the chance to look at him...

with faith bhaktas see his form...

why wait for him to assume a human form... for the form neither increases nor decrases his stature...

he is what eh is and to a bhakta he shall be loved irrespective whether he has a human form or not...

  8.

Allah ordered us in the Quran to face the kaaba.

As per my information Allah Spoke to the holy Prophet mohammed... prophet mohammed narrated his learnings to the masses through his teachings and only after the passing away of the holy prophet were the writings jotted down on paper...

the prophet Mohammed could have got his teachings written down but he didnt do so maybe intentionally...

"Not long after the Prophet's death (632), his successor Abu Bakr, the first Caliph of Islam, asked Muhammad's former head scribe, Zaid Ibn Thâbit, to make a copy. this he did"

So technically the quran is minimum a third person account of what mohammed had heard and narrated to his followers... when i say something to a friend and he tells it to another i can visualise the kinds of discrepencies which creep in...

  9.

We muslims face towards the kaaba because it is the order of Allah in Quran. Kaaba is our direction to pray to Allah and thats it. We do not worship kaaba nor we worship Allah through kaaba.

Does this mean that myslims are incapable of visualising a omnipotent formless allah through anything other then kaaba...

i can sit in whichever way and look at any plant or tree or stone and wonder at the same omnipotent formless god and wonder at his creation.... dont tell me you arent able to do something so simple... and if someone told me why i have to look at one stone and imagine god only through that stone i would want to know why cant i imagine god through any other stone... after all i am a intelligent human being... and any intelligent human has and asks questions... hope u will too :)

  10.

So if no diection is specified, some one will say, lets pay towards east, some one wil say, towards west and etc. And for the sake of argument, if a mosque chooses a direction, then there will be lot of different directions each mosque will be choosing. So, for unity, a direction has been specified to pray towards it.

Well why does a religion not give its followers the right to choose even a simple thing like which direction he should pray.... religions should not assume that humans are cattle without intelligence... which direction one may like another may not... so why this requirement that everyone MUST pray in this direction... what wrong will happen if two people pray to the same god in two different directions... i dont think god will get any smaller

  11. i wouldnt know that ... but will accept your words...

what i like is hunduism isnt limited to any one form of worship...

u can sit under a tree and pray to a formless god like mohammed did

or you can sit and make an idol and pray to it...

u can pray to your own ancesstors

u can pray to the nature and its aspects which grant you life...

u can pray to the fire the wind the air and the sea...

u can pray to abstractions like parabrahma and shunya

u can even do yoni puja which is a tantrik form of worshipping the female sexual organ

you can pray to the bhutas and pretas and pischaychas

you can pray to the rakshas the yakshas and other demonic and semi demonic forms...

there is no limit to what u can worship in hinduism and i am proud that my religion doesnt limit my options of what i can worship and how...

be proud that our religion accepts that we are humans who have the intelect to decide which way we wish to pray ...

  12.

Circumcizing has lot of benefits..for example lacs of muslims go for hajj every year and circumsize the kaaba

Respected comerade mazar please be clear of the concepts and the words u use... as per my understanding ciscumsizing is the ceremony of "Suntah" where a part of the foreskin is cut off.. so u can not do circumsision of the kaaba... What incidently brother muslims do is calld i believe the circumambulation of the kaaba ... which is walking around the kaaba jointly and this concept has been there in pradakshina in hindu temples for thousands of years before islam came into existance... so nothing new here :) even today u go to any old temple and u will see people doing pradakshina in groups... "circumambulation not circumcision" :)

  13. Hinduism believes in some concepts... and i guess we must be doing things right... cause we still exist even when hundreds of religions and civilizations have come after hinduism and have vanished without leaving a trace... The typical non idol worship was a recent concept by the standards of hunduism... christ started the concept and the honourable prophet mohammed carried on from where christ left off.... in spite of christ's teachings we see the idols of christ being worshipped... and the prophet mohammed (peace be upon him) could visualise the concept of a formless god... incidently even this concept of nirakaar ishwar isnt a new one to hindu philosophy and has existed for many millenia... but how many common people can comprehend the concept of a formless god... so then they put up the name of god on a plate and worship it or some other form of proxy god worship... like worshipping a direction... why worship one direction when god this formless god exists everywhere...

  14. The human mind is the lock and the human mind is the key...

i can only say that when u are working for a valuable goal focuss comes easily... first be clear why you are chanting and what is the goal for your chanting... it may be health wealth or moksha... just have a strong goal which u believe in and do exactly what u are doing... u will find the focuss improving when u know u are doing what u are doing for a worthy cause which u totally believe in...

  15. As per my understanding Arghya means offering... and generally is the offering of water (for cleaning the feet) of the devata during puja... this is generally done along with the achamana (ceremonial drinking of water)...

If i am wrong do correct me :)

  16. Wishing you a speedy recovery... Remember though that most sadhanas depend on the power of the human mind... if you have total faith then effects will be faster but in todays era most sadhanas will take at least 2-4 years to acomplish (that is without a enlightened guru) The presence of a good guru can be benefitial and can speed things up...

  17. Is the Apple more powerful than the Orange... :)

The gayatri is said to be the most powerful mantras or thats what I heard it says in the vedas.

Hare krishna maha mantra is also very powerful according to vedas.

But which is it? Or are these both the same?

    Hare krishna Mahamantra = Gayatri?

    or

Is Gayatri > Hare krishna Mahamantra?

    or

Is Hare krishna Mahamantra > Gayatri?

  18. Even if a monkey gets his hands on a stengun as you rightly say... the monkey will never be able to operate the weapon until he evolves to being a human... so a vashikaran mantra in the hands of the unworthy rarely works... it works only if your goals are genuine... the mantras vidyas and sadhanas which have been designed by great rishis have many safety systems the rishis who formulated these mantras were wise enough to see that monkeys could get their hands on the mantras :) ... SO it is impossible to misuse them... either they are used rightly for the right goal or they dont work... so u can relax on that count mr pranay :)
