I just joined this forum yesterday day/ I have few questions about What happens after death? I have finished reading the Great Bhavat Gita about a month ago. It is quite interesting to read the Gita and felt like everyone should read it and try to understand the teachings of Lord Krishna. Since I know Sanskrit from my childhood, I was able to read both Tamil and Sanskrit versions. I am now coming to my question to learned audiences. One (like me) did not practice the Gayatri Mantra though it was taught to me in my childhood, which I felt at my old age, can I get the Nama Japam from a Guruji and practice it sincerely be able to attain my wishes? Since I missed this great opportunity, I am willing to have a rebirth as very sacred soul like Adi Sankara or St Thiagaraja Swamigal and live like a Sanyasi or Siddha Purusha and learn the Vedas, Upanishads, puranas and slogas etc so that I become deserved soul to reach the Lotus Feet of Lord Krishna. Is this a possible wish come true.I need to seek the blessings of learned Guruji. It may look funny to some, but it is my true wish. Thanks for all those who read this post and responses and guidances.

Two year back, I had a dream where Maha Vishnu appeared in my dream.The dream seemed really realistic and spiritual. Vishnuji appeared in my dream and in my dream i was thanking him for giving me Darshan through Dream to bless me.The dream was highly detailed even though, back then I hadn't taken look at the Hindu god's idols or photos in a detailed way.But, still Vishnuji's appearance was highly detailed just like in the photos/portraits with the four arms,lotus,chakra etc.I could hear slokas and spiritual bells ringing in my ears.i had a vibration all over my body during the dream and got up shivering and sweating. SO my question is, can anyone get dreams about Lord Maha Vishnu giving darshan or not?please explain the meaning of this dream

Hi, Was wondering if anyone could help me. I had a serious illness and with God's and Guru's Grace I recovered physically enough that my life was not in danger. For that I am eternally grateful. However I still have some minor physical symptoms every day, and emotionally I am very much unhappy as it reminds me of that sad time. For the past 2 years I get up at Brahmamuhurtam to pray and say my Gurumantra which is all-powerful, but obviously I am doing something wrong because I am not getting physically or emotionally better. I tried asking other devotees but one of the other devotees got really offended and told some falsehoods to my Guru and main disciples about how I challenged the effectiveness of the Mantra (which I didn't, I was just talking about my own inability to get results through some fault of my own). So I'm a bit nervous to ask my Guru and His disciples now. I'm not really sure how I can go on through life like this, as I wonder if I will ever get better- some of our saints themselves said that it is difficult to improve spiritually without a healthy body as then the mind is always on the body. I have always been fascinated and intrigued by the drawings one finds on streets and pavements, even in homes . Some with graphic designs, geometric patterns, stars, flowers, triangles etc. They are done with chalk, paint, powder and whatever . They are commonly seen at high holidays like at Taipusam or Timithee. Is there a name for this "street art"? Are there particular designs used for particular reasons. Ive seen fresh flowers offered on top of the drawings. Is there a book I could read to learn more about this? Appreciate any information supplied .

This is probably a big plot against your success by your bua and chachi, they are jealous of you or something. Your aura is being polluted by their ill intent and they have done some terrible black magic(whose mechanism i can only speculate would be to send some kind of spirit that gives weird dreams and sucks/ manipulate your physical "prana"(it is the essential read about it on google, which spirits feed on) due to which your experiences are so drastic and even physically influencing. There are many well known babas who are really good at their work who can help you. I myself have gone to this baba: Dr. Prakash Indian Tata although i had weird health problems, my problems were more related to astrology. It may not have made much sense for me to have gone to him but i think your case is very deserving of his service. He is NOT a tantrik , he is a man who has attained many siddhis by meditating from the age of 6 to 20 years of age. His practices are also not tantrik, he only meditates on people auras and check if there is some trail or something evil attached to it and he can trace the energy of it( you can say he is psychic). Until you actually seek a real solution to this problem, i can only tell you keep away from your bua/chachi and recite narayan kavach and hanuman chalisa. Many a time such evil vengeance from some women( in your case, bua/chachi) and then, women performing black magic (which definitely involves some or the other aspect of Goddess Durga, as they only tend to make wrong use of such a powerful Goddess); can be a very difficult problem to actually resolve. You definitely need to find out about these temples and visit them. For example, since your fav god is shiva, try visualising shiva by your side and crushing all the negative energy that your bua is sending with his trishul. Or even reciting hanuman mantras at the time you interact with them could be very useful. -> try having "ganga jal" every morning after bath. -> wash tulsi leaves in ganga jal and hold it in your palm. Chant hanuman chalisa and any shiva mantra that you like and after that, INTEND that all your problems are solved, THEN eat it. Personally i feel that any religious practice that is concerned with durga needs great discipline, mental and personal hygiene and pure sattvic intentions. It is a difficult practice and since Durga ma is most pious even to evil spirits, these attach to her wherever there are prayers or hymns of any form of Durga devi. IT IS observed that people have weird experiences with the practice of durga ma especially because of this. IT IS better if you can worship Parvati devi instead of Durga for the reasons of which i have stated in this paragraph. And it is actually because of this reason that elders who have posted on this thread have told you to have a proper guidance from a guru to practice chandi paath; as your guru will make sure the "way to worship Durga" is clean and without influence of bad spirits.
