Tirisilex 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2006 For the longest time I believed in a universe that always existed that was never created. I mean if you can believe that God existed eternaly and uncreated why not the universe as well? Then in philosophy class we were discussing God and I came to find out that my thinking may be flawed. First off I dont even know if Hinduism has a "creation" story. Has both God and creation existed together from begginingless time? Then I thought about the emense size of the universe and realized that if there is no limit to the number of sentient beings in the universe then there will never be a complete "salvation" If its infinite then it will never happen.. So is there a limit to how many sentient beings in the universe?
gHari 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2006 We covered all that good stuff here in the last couple of days. Read the last few 'three Vishnus' posts. It is all more wonderful than you are imagining.
Tirisilex 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 So.. I could be getting this wrong.. but I take it as.. God has just always created unviverses for an eternity.. creating and destroying over and over?
gHari 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 And doesn't that make more sense than thinking that somewhere in the middle of eternity suddenly the universe appears and then is gone forever.
