DamodaraDasa Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Years ago, I was told to begin Japa on the smaller beads of the mala each day. I was also told to tie a little string just after the 8th bead, to indicate the 8 principal gopis. I also remember reading this in one of Srila Prabhupada's books years later. For some reason I thought it was in NOD, but I can't find it there. I also sort of recall it being a recommendation of Srila Bhaktivinoda Swami's. Can anyone tell me the source I'm looking for - from which Prabhupada's books - including the actual statement? Being independently destitute (!) I don't have the data-base. Your help would be very gratefully accepted! Damodara dasa Quote
Guest guest Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 here so far has been able to give you the Prabhupada reference you are seeking. Some have been too busy making fun of Sai Baba whose followers see him as a pure devotee of God. Quote
