Haribol ...

The posting writtern by one of our friend mase me to start this discussion

--------

"Hindus have many gods, but who is the superior god ? "

Let me tell this by taking a example , lets take a real one.... never mind let it be me /images/graemlins/wink.gif

According to my mom Hemavathy- I am her son ,

According my brother srikanth - I am his elder brother,

According to my boss anantha - I am worker,

According to our servent in home - I am master,

According to my music master - I am student.

but the very person is me alone . I am taking many forms according to the person around me.

If you ask my mom , she likes me as her son alone , she wont like to see me as her master or student or worker.

According to her , son srivatsan is best.

If you as my project manager , he wants to see me as worker only , he describes me as good worker ( hopefully /images/graemlins/wink.gif )

sincere , polite .. according to him , worker srivatsan is the best.

Similarly we like to see god in forms which is suitable for us. some people wants godness as master of arts , they see god as sarawathi. Someone as godness of properity they see god as Lakshmi. And someone as godness who can destory evil and they see Kali.

In each form its very Narayana alone, everything and anything worshipped as god leads to Narayana alone . Through all these forms he showers graceness on us.

I cannot be master to my music master and servent to my servent. So i will be as student only at the front of my music master, Likewise god comes in the form we like, which is making us think that only our god is higher. This is true to some extend.

In my music class i am the student and student srivats is alone considered and he is best than the son srivatsan.

For people who think god is Shiva alone , he helps in shiva form , and for some as krishna

All for one , One for all !

I am the adi-purusam, the original Person. Unborn, I just Am. I am the Cause of All Causes and simultaneously All That Is. I am One beyond a second. I am the All-Attractive Lord of lords. I am Sri Krsna whose three-fold bending form of Syamasundara is eternally manifested.

Like you, I also am perceived in many ways according to My activities and the potencies I exhibit, and according to the loving relationship and qualification of each of the innumerable living entities with whom I interact. Some of My friends see Me as their friend Govinda; some protect Me as their child Damodara; some worship Me as Lord Narayana; some meditate on Me as Paramatma or the blinding impersonal Brahman; those most intimate, see Me in My private garden as Krsna; while many simply see Me as eternal Time.

I am that I am, adi-purusam, the Supreme Proprietor and Supreme Enjoyer of all that is, and yet at the same time I am all that is. Surrender to Me completely, and I will perfect your existence. I am your best friend. Always.

My dear faithful servant, Brahma nicely explains My innermost heart in this Madhya 19.154 verse from the Caitanya-caritamrta:

tabe yAya tad-upari ‘goloka-vRndAvana'

‘kRSNa-caraNa'-kalpa-vRkSe kare ArohaNa

tabe--thereafter; yAya--goes; tat-upari--to the top of that (the spiritual sky); goloka-vRndAvana--to the planet known as Goloka VRndAvana where KRSNa lives; kRSNa-caraNa--of the lotus feet of Lord KRSNa; kalpa-vRkSe--on the desire tree; kare ArohaNa--climbs.

"Being situated in one's heart and being watered by zravaNa-kIrtana, the bhakti creeper grows more and more. In this way it attains the shelter of the desire tree of the lotus feet of KRSNa, who is eternally situated in the planet known as Goloka VRndAvana, in the topmost region of the spiritual sky.

PURPORT

In the Brahma-saMhitA (5.37) it is said:

Ananda-cinmaya-rasa-pratibhAvitAbhis

tAbhir ya eva nija-rUpatayA kalAbhiH

goloka eva nivasaty akhilAtma-bhUto

govindam Adi-puruSaM tam ahaM bhajAmi

"I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord. He resides in His own realm, Goloka, with RAdhA, who resembles His own spiritual figure and who embodies the ecstatic potency [hlAdinI]. Their companions are Her confidantes, who embody extensions of Her bodily form and who are imbued and permeated with ever-blissful spiritual rasa."

In the spiritual world, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, KRSNa, has expanded Himself by His spiritual potency. He has His eternal form of bliss and knowledge (sac-cid-Ananda-vigraha [bs. 5.1]). Everything in the Goloka VRndAvana planet is a spiritual expansion of sac-cid-Ananda. Everyone there is of the same potency--Ananda-cinmaya-rasa. The relationship between the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His servitor is cinmaya-rasa. KRSNa and His entourage and paraphernalia are of the same cinmaya potency. In this way the Supreme Personality of Godhead is expanded throughout the spiritual world, and when that cinmaya-rasa potency expands through the material potency, it becomes all-pervading.

The idea is that although the Supreme Personality of Godhead exists on His own planet, Goloka VRndAvana, He is also present everywhere. ANDAntara-stha-paramANu-cayAntara-stham. He is present within all the universes, although they are innumerable, and He is also present within the atom. IzvaraH sarva-bhUtAnAM hRd-deze 'rjuna tiSThati: [bg. 18.61] He is also present within the heart of all living entities. This is His all-pervasive potency.

Goloka VRndAvana is the highest planet in the spiritual world. In order to go to the spiritual world after penetrating the covering of the material universe, one must penetrate Brahma-loka, the spiritual effulgence. Then one can come to the Goloka VRndAvana planet. There are also other planets in the spiritual world, called VaikuNTha planets, and on these planets Lord NArAyaNa is worshiped with awe and veneration. On these planets zAnta-rasa is prevalent, and some of the devotees are also connected with the Supreme Personality of Godhead in dAsya-rasa, the mellow of servitorship. As far as the mellow of fraternity is concerned, in VaikuNTha this rasa is represented by gaurava-sakhya, friendship in awe and veneration. The other fraternity rasa, exhibited as vizrambha (friendship in equality), is found in the Goloka VRndAvana planet. Above that is service to the Lord in vAtsalya-rasa (parental love), and above all is the relationship with the Lord in the mAdhurya-rasa (conjugal love). These five rasas are fully exhibited in the spiritual world in one's relationship with the Lord. Therefore in the spiritual world the bhakti creeper finds its resting place at the lotus feet of KRSNa.

Abandon all dharmas and just surrender unto Me. Do not fear; I will save you.

Your best friend,

Sri Krsna

Thanks for giving clear words ot krishna to us.. especially that blue papragraph ..i always relate things to day to day life and understand from that , i hhad ( still have ) problems in understaind ur loong posting espeically when it has sanskrit lines in betweemn , i am sorry i did not mean to offend u , its jus that my level of understanding is very very less.

I am sure there is always different of opinion and hinduism has many thorey in the same subject jus because of the fact that many forms can exists for a sam basic things. Its upto us to read all of them and take whats best for it.

According to me god helps devottes in very form they like, if someone worship shiva alone , god will help him being as shiva only , according to him shiva is one and one only. Well peoples are not same ( afterall everyone are made different , otherwise there cannot be life ) and according to thier mentality they see god , and god is happy to come in every form to help thier bhakthas.

I think dasavataar concept also states the same thing , even though he takes differnet 10 forms we know he is one. and its upto us to choose our own form. And i suppose god is not making any rule in that.

One more step is that he is helpign those who dont even cared to know what he is , who doesnot even accept the fact all things are happening because of him . Our ancestors belived everything happens for reason and believed that they are not only responsible for all happening but the almighty.

So atlease believing in god and seeing him some form enough for him to come down and help, he doesnot care about what shirt to wear !
