Jahnava Nitai Das Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 The forums clock has been switched to Pacific Standard Time. Till 11:00 am messages posted may not appear at the top of the list, because it will sort them based on the time. A few messages were posted at 11 AM according to the old clock, so they will remain at the top till we pass that time frame. Quote
Jahnava Nitai Das Posted August 1, 2002 Author Report Posted August 1, 2002 For technical reasons we switched over to Eastern Time Zone (New York) instead of Pacific. Quote
Avinash Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 For technical reasons we switched over to Eastern Time Zone (New York) instead of Pacific. This is very sad. /ubbthreads/images/icons/frown.gif Is it possible to take the time from client machine so that each member sees the time as per his system time? If it is complicated, then please try to use IST. I don't like timing based on New York. /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif Quote
Jahnava Nitai Das Posted August 2, 2002 Author Report Posted August 2, 2002 In your profile each user can set his own time zone, and the forums will adjust all message times to that. But the default is now on New York time. Quote
Avinash Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I have set time zone in my profile. Just checking the effect. Quote
Avinash Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 It is working. Only that the time shown here is half an hour before my system time. This is because the offset time is 9 hrs and 30 min but in the profile I could enter offset in hours. Quote
Avinash Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I entered the offset as 9.5 Now it is pefect. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif Quote
