The joing of the two leads to the manifestation of the material world. When Maha Vishnu glances at the material nature, the glance takes the form of a halo of light known as Shambu. This is one form of Lord Shiva before the creation. Within this halo of light are the unlimited living entities. When the masculine principle and feminine principle unite, the creation begins.
