That statue doesn't look like Vishnu to me.

As far as I know Peacock is the vehicle of Lord Murugan but what is it doing above Vishnu? If it is Vishnu than Seshanag should be placed above. Anyway anyone looking from below could never be sure if the statue is Vishnu or Murugan or may be any other icon like Shiva. Why was the photo shot from below and not direct? Any particular reason?

I don't think the peacocks have anything to do with it far as I know. But interesting to note your explanation on this. Here Lord Vishnu is lying there, and your saying its Shiva!
