If you find one, please let me know if it contains the word, 'mahalo'. I looked it up in some of the online dictionaries but it wasn't in them. I thought someone here might know the word. Maybe it's an offensive word? If it is, I apologize, I didnt know. (My post got deleted!)

Last night at Prema-latA dd's program Axel aka Abhinandan Prabhu asked for 3 word meanings:

vandanA, vijnApti, dhyAnam w.r.t. prayer & bhajan titles - all 3 r found in ZrIla NArAyaN Mhrj's songbook

For vandanA I said prayer, for dhyAnam I said meditation, for vijnApti I said desperately intense

Please purport, add or correct me as all u experts see fit.

Hi

In one of the songs of Thyagaraja, The word" Kamalaa" is used as water. I tried to find this meaning from Sanskrit dictinaries. I am unable to acess it. They tell me that Richard Mahoney's version states that the word "Kamalaa" was used in "Kirartarjuniam" as water. Can somebody help?

Raghu
