Well if you'd take your boots off in the doorway, rather than trapsing the mud through to the lounge, there wouldn't be a problem.

You don't have mosquitos and humidity there?

I actually hate our governor, but the Republican running against him

is 50 times worse!

Midlothian Turnpike - and I cannot believe you would judge all of

our places on one visit

I would never go to a place there either!

We have a ton of better places and down south a bit there is Starved

Rock which is really nice

you see above ;)

Tis no need to be sorry, you asked for a few reasons so I came up

with some quick ones. Besides, you were definately not hanging out

in the right places if you were by Midlothian Turnpike! You should

have come North about 10 minutes to Oak Lawn. Or further west even

and you would have hit some nice forest preserves.

Nikki :)

LOL - Has anyone ever told you that you have an uncanny knack for

complimenting and " attacking " someone in one sentence? :)

You can be peeved all you want, there was no snow when you were here

other than a few flakes that melted instantly.

And I did tell you that Zak would play with you in the snow if there

was any did I not? :)

Yeah - I noticed that.... but you went and had plenty the day after I left, didn't you. Don't think I've forgotten.... ;-)

Shall we also not forget that the invitation to stay was extended. I

cannot help it if the order of snow arrived late! I tried to forward

it on to you in St. Louis, but it just wouldn't leave.

We're pretty humid around here what with the streams, small lakes and swamp,

although I think where Peter lives is even more humid. We get loads of

mosquitos here, and those little black midge things that cover the ceiling

if you open a door with the light on!

Its O.K. in small doses, my kids enjoy it. I spent too many winters carrying crates of milk when I was younger helping my father on the milk round., and it was in the winter that his heart gave out, while we were delivering milk in thick snow, carrying 2-3 crates each.So I guess I still have sad memories of winter....
