Plus Alex, I would be happy to help in the kitchen! Nothing like

sampling before dinner. :)

I know you live in SF and all that but it's not *that* cold here! I

mean, having experienced Minnesota in February last year, I shall

never com[lain about the weather here, ever, again :-)

you have a point there, as it is lager after all and therefore not

beer but it brings back memories of my period of debauchery (well, I

was young, I hadn't discovered real beer yet!) :-)

Occassional is the key word there. Also, I have learnt in Minnesota in

February that snow is not cold. When it snows it can be warmer than

when it's *really* cold! Also, we have pubs, some of them with open

fires :-)

I didn't doubt they would have pubs in SF :-) I was merely hinting

that just being cold is no excuse not to take advantage of the cheaper

flight and visit :-)

Yes, fire.... our heater is broken and it's been SO cold! back east, the power company use to have commercials in winter telling you to

keep the thermostat at 65F

out here...PG@E tell us to keep it at 68F, and at 55F at nite when yer sleeping

i seem to recall a commercial back east a long time ago when oil prices at the

time were going thru the roof(for that time period) and supplies were low,

telling folks to keep the thermostat at 57F and just wear extra clothes...
