Guest guest Report post Posted November 10, 2005 I discovered the show in Minneapolis last year and I am so glad it is now finally in the UK thanks to More4. It is hilarious :-) AlexOn 10/11/05, earthstrm <nikkimack wrote: Hi Anouk LOL - Do not believe all you see on The Daily Show! The " reporters " he sends out, are not actual reporters. Guest guest Report post Posted November 10, 2005 Hi Alex SHOW IT TO PETER! I was telling him about the show and he didn't think that you had it there. Is that not the best show?! I said that it was so funny that you laugh so hard you cry. Then at the end you end up crying anyways because of how terribly true it is. Oh I love that show!!! And I never really like Jon Stewart as a comedian, but I love this show!!! He really nails Bush well too! LOL Did you see the one about the summit? And there's slumpy! LOL By the way, did I mention that I LOVE the show? Guest guest Report post Posted November 10, 2005 nope...sorry.... SF mayor is Gavin Newsom.......he's not gay there are members of the Supervisors who are gay..but...not the mayor Anouk Sickler <zurumato Nov 9, 2005 9:14 PM Re: samhain lunch fraggle wrote: so..vegan chat party in the bay area next year hahahahhahaa Hi fraggle, I actually really believed that the mayor of San Francisco was a very flamboyant Gay man. It was on a episode of the Daily Show, when john stewart sends out a reporter to the streets of san francisco, dressed in a sailor suit and he gets kissed by a lot of men, including a tranvestite who is at a club, he then cuts to the mayor of san francisco who is quoting " i will survive " by gloria gaynor. This was a videotape that my mother in law sent us around aired the first week of october. sometimes it is hard to tell the real news from the fake news. Guest guest Report post Posted November 10, 2005 Hi Nikki > SHOW IT TO PETER! I was telling him about the show and he didn't > think that you had it there. Gee thanks... now next time I visit Alex, I'm going to have to watch it! I don't watch much TV, so only have the 5 terestrial channels - I get Jo to record anything I want off satellite (yep - both of the programmes that are worth watching on the 400+ channels we have)!! Guest guest Report post Posted November 11, 2005 Hi Nikki :-) SHOW IT TO PETER! how dare suggest I would be so easy, LOL Sorry, I just couldn't resist!!! :-) I was telling him about the show and he didn't think that you had it there. We have only had it over here for a few weeks and I seem to recollect that he doesn't have digital channels at his flat so he wouldn't have known about it! Is that not the best show?! It is a very good show indeed!! I said that it was so funny that you laugh so hard you cry. Then at the end you end up crying anyways because of how terribly true it is. Oh I love that show!!! I would have never guessed! ;-) Did you see the one about the summit? And there's slumpy! LOL Nope BB Alex :-)
Guest guest Report post Posted November 11, 2005 Hey Peter good to see I was right about the digital thing! My memory hasn't failed me for once :-) Just seen this after replying to Nikki. Well, this combined with Firefly should make for several evenings worth of TV watching when you visit ;-) BB AlexOn 10/11/05, Peter <metalscarab wrote: Hi Nikki > SHOW IT TO PETER! Guest guest Report post Posted November 11, 2005 Hi Alex You like Firefly? Me too! Most on the list don't tho, I thought Peter was one who didn't? Oooh! Are you torturing him? I'd be careful if so, Jo has heavies she can send out. She's already warned me off with Peter's visit to the states. And I will do my best from replying with " Well are you? How restrained of you, I am impressed :-) I think I shall have refrained from any responses to that one even if you had asked, bearing in mind that Jo belongs to this list! LOL Now uh, could you invite him over for the show? I mean, The Daily Show? with Jon Stewart? on the telly? I am sure that next time he is over at mine I can persuade him to watch it :-) > > Oh I love that show!!! > > I would have never guessed! ;-) I know, I hide my feelings all to often on these things. Guest guest Report post Posted November 11, 2005 Hi Nikki, I do, I do! I love it and have watched Serenity twice already :-) Most on the list don't tho, I thought Peter was one who didn't? What can I say? They are wrong!!!! LOL I started corrupting Peter a few weeks ago by showing him the first two episodes :-) Oooh! Are you torturing him? Yep, I am :-) It was the only way to get him to realise the full spectrum of Joss Whedon's genius... I'd be careful if so, Jo has heavies she can send out. She's already warned me off with Peter's visit to the states. I must admit, I am scared admiting it with Jo around but I swear that I have his full consent! LOL Anyway, last time she saw me she was still smiling at me. I'll start running if she looks at me funny next time though.... :-) BB Alex

Are you sure you did not have Peter's twin there? Sounds more like a Fraggle thing. >LOL Anyway, last time she saw me she was still smiling at > me. I'll start running if she looks at me funny next time though.... :-) She's very nice as you know, but Mum's are very protective of their sons. I cannot imagine when Zak starts dating. I wouldn't just run either. Run VERY VERY fast. And zigzag so they cannot get a straight shot. Go over and around things too if you can. Not that I've ever needed to flee from someone or anything...
