It's a clever device sometimes used by writers... it's called a plot-line.

I discovered the show in Minneapolis last year and I am so glad it is now finally in the UK thanks to More4. It is hilarious :-)

LOL - Do not believe all you see on The Daily Show! The " reporters " he

I love that show, it has to be one of my all time favs. It is just

hilarious and quite sad at the same time.

Hi Alex

SHOW IT TO PETER! I was telling him about the show and he didn't

think that you had it there.

Is that not the best show?!

I said that it was so funny that you laugh so hard you cry. Then at

the end you end up crying anyways because of how terribly true it is.

Oh I love that show!!!

And I never really like Jon Stewart as a comedian, but I love this

show!!!

He really nails Bush well too! LOL

Did you see the one about the summit? And there's slumpy! LOL

By the way, did I mention that I LOVE the show?

Hi fraggle, I actually really believed that the mayor of San Francisco

was a very flamboyant Gay man.

It was on a episode of the Daily Show, when john stewart sends out a

reporter to the streets of san francisco, dressed in a sailor suit

and he gets kissed by a lot of men, including a tranvestite who is at

a club, he then cuts to the mayor of san francisco who is quoting " i

will survive " by gloria gaynor. This was a videotape that my mother

in law sent us around aired the first week of october.

sometimes it is hard to tell the real news from the fake news.

Gee thanks... now next time I visit Alex, I'm going to have to watch it! I

don't watch much TV, so only have the 5 terestrial channels - I get Jo to

record anything I want off satellite (yep - both of the programmes that are

worth watching on the 400+ channels we have)!!

Hi Nikki :-)

SHOW IT TO PETER!

how dare suggest I would be so easy, LOL Sorry, I just couldn't resist!!! :-)

I was telling him about the show and he didn't

think that you had it there.

We have only had it over here for a few weeks and I seem to recollect

that he doesn't have digital channels at his flat so he wouldn't have

known about it!

Is that not the best show?!

It is a very good show indeed!!

I said that it was so funny that you laugh so hard you cry. Then at

the end you end up crying anyways because of how terribly true it is.

Oh I love that show!!!

I would have never guessed! ;-)

Nope :(

Hey Peter

good to see I was right about the digital thing! My memory hasn't

failed me for once :-) Just seen this after replying to Nikki. Well,

this combined with Firefly should make for several evenings worth of TV

watching when you visit ;-)

Hi Alex

You like Firefly? Me too!

Most on the list don't tho, I thought Peter was one who didn't?

Oooh! Are you torturing him?

I'd be careful if so, Jo has heavies she can send out. She's already

warned me off with Peter's visit to the states.

How restrained of you, I am impressed :-) I think I shall have

refrained from any responses to that one even if you had asked, bearing

in mind that Jo belongs to this list! LOL

Now uh, could you invite him over for the show?

I am sure that next time he is over at mine I can persuade him to watch it :-)

Hi Nikki,

I do, I do! I love it and have watched Serenity twice already :-)

Most on the list don't tho, I thought Peter was one who didn't?

What can I say? They are wrong!!!! LOL I started corrupting Peter a few weeks ago by showing him the first two episodes :-)

Oooh! Are you torturing him?

Yep, I am :-) It was the only way to get him to realise the full spectrum of Joss Whedon's genius...

I'd be careful if so, Jo has heavies she can send out. She's already

warned me off with Peter's visit to the states.

I must admit, I am scared admiting it with Jo around but I swear that I

have his full consent! LOL Anyway, last time she saw me she was still

smiling at me. I'll start running if she looks at me funny next time

though.... :-)

If you do see it, let me know what you think. Tho if I remember

correctly you didn't like Firefly either.

Hmmm... last night.

Worked till 5, ate dinner with the family, worked again till 6:30. Did

some homework with Zak. Watched Alias. Played Teenage Mutant Ninja

Turtles boardgame with Zak. Read the mail. Read two articles in Fast

Company Magazine. Small bit of housework. collasped asleep.

Woke up at 4:15 a.m., washed up. Started working.

Fridays, work till 9 p.m., eat Chinese somewhere in between. Do

something with Zak at some point. Watch Firefly at 6.

After work, veg out with either a good book or astrology.

Such an exciting life! lol

wait to see it!

I completely agree. And did he take to them?

I so like your methods of corruption.

I agree. Sometimes things just must be done.

Corruption with consent? Are you sure you did not have Peter's twin

there?

Sounds more like a Fraggle thing. ;)

She's very nice as you know, but Mum's are very protective of their

sons. I cannot imagine when Zak starts dating.

I wouldn't just run either. Run VERY VERY fast. And zigzag so they

cannot get a straight shot. Go over and around things too if you can.

Not that I've ever needed to flee from someone or anything...

He just watched some more last night and yep, he is enjoying them! Yay!

Another victory for the Joss-Whedon-is-a-genius front :-)

Erm, no comment ;-)

Jo is indeed very nice so I am hoping that I won't have to run too fast.... I am not very good at it! :-)
