I went to North Carolina for a friend's wedding over the weekend, and only discovered on my arrival that the family are all solid Southern Baptists. Thankfully I don't tend to wear any overt signs of Paganism, but I wasn't used to having to keep quiet about my beliefs for almost 2 whole days!!!! For the most part the biggest thing that you have to worry about on this group is walking into the room with fresh fruit. We won't judge you, but some may mug you! I was born Roman Catholic, took a walk on the Christian side and found peace in Paganism. I also follow a Wiccan path. And both tend to scare those who know nothing of either.
